MAFS' Gia and Scott at homestays

Married at First Sight (MAFS) couple Scott and Gia may still be playing loved-up on screen, but Gia’s social media activity through the season has already exposed their ill-fated ending. Now, Scott has come forward in a rogue interview to share his side on their doomed relationship.

Spoiler warning: The following article has spoilers. If you don’t want to know what happens between Scott and Gia, now is the time to stop reading!

In an interview with Daily Mail Australia, Scott made it clear there was no love lost between himself and his TV wife, saying that she is “by far the most difficult, hardest to understand, untrustworthy woman I’ve ever met in my entire life.”

“I’ve never freaking dealt with such hard cards on the table in my whole life,” he added.

Scott showcased his luxurious waterfront villa during Homestays Week, but Gia made it clear she couldn’t see herself living there, saying that she needed four bedrooms as she required space for herself, her daughter, and a make-up room. In the same interview, Scott admitted her dismissiveness stung.

“I don’t want to sit there and be constantly brought down and made to feel like I’m not good enough,” he said.

“That’s how it felt. Nothing was ever going to be good enough.”

MAFS’ Scott reveals off-camera fights with Gia

While viewers have watched Gia threaten to quit the show after a fight with Scott, and the couple have their fair share of issues throughout the season, he claims even more drama unfolded behind closed doors.

“You can only imagine what happens off camera,” he told the publication.

“She just comes at me, throws me under the bus, calls me fake, belittles me, calls me names,” Scott added. “It was every night. No matter what I said or did, I was in trouble.”

Scott said his optimism that the relationship would eventually work out is what kept him from walking away mid-season.

“I was holding back the whole time,” he said. “I thought it was going to get better. I didn’t want to be that guy throwing his partner under the bus.

“It got to the point where I was emotionally checked out… “I just thought, this isn’t going to work.”

Scott made it clear that he and Gia aren’t together and said the door is firmly closed.

“I won’t talk to her ever again,” he said. “Never. I’ve never made contact with that woman again, and I never will.”

Married at First Sight (MAFS) 2026 airs Sunday – Wednesday on Channel 9 and 9Now.
