Scott and Gia leave mafs

Gia Fleur has finally left Married at First Sight (MAFS) for good, and Scott McCristal grew a backbone and decided not to walk out with her, bringing an end to their tumultuous relationship. However, a source close to production told Chattr that Scott initially wanted to leave with his TV wife, before producers intervened.

The source explained that Gia and Scott had agreed to leave together after their final date — which took place after the Grass is Greener challenge but before the participants were shown videos of how they acted there — but a producer convinced Scott to stick around.

“Gia and Scott had packed their bags, and Scott had promised her that he was leaving with her, and then, and then, all of a sudden, he didn’t want to leave. I know for a fact that the producer said to Scott, ‘Don’t leave, you want to stay so you can watch what happened on Grass is Greener.’ So that’s why he decided to stay, and he didn’t regret it after.”

The insider claimed that Gia’s goal was to get Scott out of the experiment before he could see the video of her flirting with her back up-match, James, at the challenge.

“She knew the video was coming, that’s why she was adamant about them leaving. She knew that she behaved inappropriately, and therefore the best option for her was to get him to leave before he saw any of it, because that meant that she wouldn’t have to be held accountable or be responsible.”

Source reveals pivotal moment Scott realised he had no future with Gia

The insider went on to say that Scott had admitted he couldn’t see a future with Gia prior to agreeing to leave the experiment with her.

“It was about three weeks before the end of the show, Scott told the boys in the gym that he was done with the relationship, but he didn’t know how to end it,” they revealed.

The source added that the connection between Scott and Gia was genuine, but said that they just weren’t a compatible match.

“Gia really wanted a future with Scott, but she also wanted someone who would bow down to her and do what she says, when she says it, as soon as she says it, and that was never going to be Scott.”
