Another scandal erupted at tonight’s Married at First Sight (MAFS) Dinner Party, with Gia claiming Bec had texted her alleging that Alissa was still in love with her ex.
After Bec confronted Gia over claims that Danny had said she was more his type, Gia fired back — pulling out her phone to read aloud messages Bec had apparently sent about fellow bride Alissa.
“Alissa went home for the weekend, turmoil in the relationship,” Gia read to the group, before reading out another text in a producer-led interview. “Alissa is [expletive] in love with her ex,” Gia said.
In an interview with Chattr, Alissa has firmly denied the claims, saying that there was absolutely no truth to them whatsoever.
“Obviously, if I wanted to be with my ex, I would not have been on the experiment. I would have been with my ex. We had broken up, like eight months prior to the experiment, and at that time, it would have been closer to a year.”
She explained that the accusations were first raised at the second Dinner Party, before Gia brought them up again tonight.
“It was actually disgusting. They were just rumours. And do you know what’s funny? Like, I am obviously very happy at the moment. I’m not going back to my ex, and I’m not pregnant with my ex. Like, what I was accused of, that was Brook, and she was at the table accusing me of those things. So it’s just funny. Like, you got the wrong girl,” Alissa said.
She stressed that she hadn’t even left Sydney, where they were filming MAFS, so she had no clue where the accusations came from.
“At that point in the experiment, I hadn’t even thought I had been back to Adelaide yet. So it was just crazy.”

David’s response to claims that Alissa was still in love with her ex while filming MAFS
Alissa said she was relieved that David didn’t believe the accusations for a second and firmly had her back at both Dinner Parties.
“Obviously, I was in that experiment with [David] throughout the whole time. The only day I went back [to Adelaide was] for 24 hours just to drop off my wedding dress, and then I came straight back.”
“David and I had great communication, you know, throughout that whole thing.”
He told Chattr in a separate interview that he had no doubt that Alissa was telling the truth.
“For me personally, I just thought it was BS, and I just stood by Alissa’s side because, like, I could only go off my relationship with Alyssa and how she was treating me, and it just sounded like white noise.”
Okay, we officially ship David and Alissa.
Married at First Sight (MAFS) 2026 airs Sunday – Wednesday on Channel 9 and 9Now.
