I’m A Celebrity Australia 2026 contestant Deni Hines has exited the South African jungle in a dramatic and undeniably strange fashion. The singer became just the eighth campmate in the show’s history to utter the infamous words and walk away, after admitting she’d reached her limit due to ongoing constipation and growing frustration with the camp’s staple diet of rice, beans and dried porridge.
Deni quickly emerged as one of the season’s most controversial campmates, dividing viewers with her strong opinions and frequent clashes. She found herself at the centre of several heated moments, with Nath Valvo, where she called him “lazy as f***,” leaving him nearly in tears, and a tense confrontation with Cyrell Paule after Cyrell admitted she didn’t recognise Deni as a singer, instead knowing her primarily as the daughter of music icon Marcia Hines.
And, as always, when there’s drama in the jungle, viewers explode across social media, and this moment was no exception.

Fans had strong feelings about Deni leaving the jungle
Unsurprisingly, it didn’t take long for social media to be lit up with reactions after Deni’s dramatic exit, with viewers quickly taking to X and Facebook to express exactly how they felt.
“The campsite will be a lot less toxic without Deni. I found her to be very passive-aggressive. One minute, she’s confrontational and physically getting in people’s faces; the next, she’s telling the same people she loves them.”
“Her obsession over the toilet and cleanliness with dishes, etc, feels a lot like OCD to me. I think that’s why she was lashing out and trying to control the campmates; it’s a way to regain some sense of control herself,” one concerned viewer wrote on Facebook.
“Yesss, Deni is out!! Good riddance! Couldn’t hack it, wasn’t thinking of anyone else but herself… ffs they go in there to win money for their charity not themselves… What a selfish b*tch!!!” One viewer wrote on X.
“She said it herself… She’s full of shit. Don’t let the longdrop door hit you on the way out, Deni,” another one added.
Some fans were less harsh but still critical, suggesting Deni take a long, hard look at herself now that she’s left the jungle:
“Going by people’s reactions to Deni Hines on #ImACelebrityAU last night, maybe she should read the book How to Make Friends and Influence People?” one quipped.
Others highlighted her tendency to criticise campmates:
“So glad to see her go! She is so critical of everyone and carries on about people doing less than what she’s done! Cyrell’s ‘golden oldie vs green machine’ was said in jest, and I thought it was hilarious! Deni has put people down because of their age (and not jokingly), then she gets angry when someone light-heartedly uses the term golden oldie,” another viewer commented on Facebook.
Even fans with prior experience of Deni were unsurprised.
“Watched her several years ago on Celebrity Apprentice and was shocked by her bad and bullying behaviour back then, so was eager to see how she behaved towards others this time around,” another said.
why come on this show then??? was it for the money? or to please mum #ImACelebrityAU

Some I’m a Celebrity fans jumped to Deni’s defence
However, it wasn’t all criticism for Deni, with some viewers also jumping to her defence, either agreeing with her actions, feeling sorry for her, or thinking that leaving was the best thing for her.
“I feel sorry for Deni. She was honest and fronted those other contestants, and they couldn’t handle her honesty and upfront personality. I wish her well in the future on whatever she does,” one viewer added.
“Honestly, if I hadn’t shat in 6 days… yeah, I’d have gone too,” another penned.
“She says she’s a bit of a loner in her real life. I get it. Being ‘on’ 24/7 with so many big personalities would have its limits. You go, Deni!” A third viewer chimed in.
I do feel sorry for Deni Hines. She struggles to fit in and it comes out in the wrong ways. I don't think she means to be aggressive #ImACelebrityAU

If the social media feedback is anything to go by, Deni certainly didn’t leave the jungle quietly! Love her or hate her, her dramatic departure has made a lasting impression, and we can only hope she finally managed to go to the toilet!
