Home and Away fan-favourites Sophie Dillman and Patrick O’Connor are considered one of the series’ real-life golden couples, finding their fairytale romance on and off the screen. There have been some breakup rumours surrounding the pair lately, with Sophie moving back to Australia after a stint in the UK, while Patrick stayed in Europe.
However, Patrick recently addressed these rumours at a fan event in Belgium, and fans can breathe a sigh of relief: Sophie and Patrick are still going strong.
“We had Paddy today in Belgium for the fourth time. Soph wasn’t here because she is in Australia, as you know. But because Paddy said it to all of us, I can say this,” a fan shared on a popular Home and Away Facebook group.
“Paddy is going on Tuesday back to Australia. He is finally going back home to Soph and [their dog] Winnie. We know that Soph went [back to Australia] but Paddy had [to] work so they made the best of it.
“He said it wasn’t so bad but [they will] never do it again. It was good for their relationship because it makes you realise how much they love each other.”
The fan also elaborated in the comments that Patrick had to fulfil a year-long contract overseas while Sophie had some engagements in Australia as an Endometriosis ambassador.

New event confirms Patrick O’Connor and Sophie Dillman’s relationship status
Shortly after Patrick arrived back in Australia, CelebTime announced a potential event with the couple.
“CelebTime is considering a ten pin bowling event in Sydney, with Sophie Dillman (Ziggy) and Patrick O’Connor (Dean),” they wrote on Facebook.
“We’re aiming for a Sunday in January and [the] price would be $175 per person. It includes [a] meet and greet with Sophie and Patrick and ten pin bowling.”
There are 16 spots available and fans quickly flooded the comment section to share their interest.
“Count me in! As a die-hard Home and Away fan since the pilot episode, filmed in part at Eastwood and Macquarie Uni from the ’90s to 2010, I’m excited for the bowling event,” one fan wrote.
“I’m interested, Dean and Ziggy are my favourite couple,” another added.
“Can’t wait to see Sophie and Patrick in action!” a third chimed in.
Sophie and Patrick recently returned to Home and Away for a special episode filmed in Queensland earlier this year. It’s nice to see the two thriving back in Australia!
