With rumours swirling that The Bachelorette is returning to Australian TV, who better to cast as the lead than Farmer Wants a Wife (FWAW)‘s fan favourite Scarlett Faw? And, the 22-year-old has told Chattr that she’s totally game to take on the role.
“Put me on as Bachelorette! I would love to find some mature, vulnerable men. I would definitely consider doing that. I mean, if there were some really nice, genuine guys,” she said.
However, Scarlett added that she’s experienced another breakup in the time between FWAW wrapping filming and the finale airing, so she’d want to wait until she was fully emotionally recovered before filming on The Bachelorette began.
“I would consider it potentially. I have to see if my healing is done by then,” she said.
As for another stint on reality TV now that her time on FWAW is over, Scarlett admitted she’s not quite ready to get back into a dating-based show just yet.
“It really just depends. Like if it’s a love show, if someone asked me to do a love show right now, I’d be like, I’m not ready,” she said.
While The Bachelorette was axed in 2022, Woman’s Day reported that Channel 10 is hoping to bring back the once-popular dating show.

Scarlett says Farmer Dylan and Ally helped her through her recent breakup: ‘Genuinely thought I found my person’
Scarlett told Chattr about her post-show romance, saying she fell for the mystery man really hard, and was heartbroken when their relationship didn’t work out.
“Honestly, I wish I could tell you that I had this amazing love story after [FWAW], I would have been able to if you asked me maybe four weeks before the show aired. But yeah, I had a beautiful relationship after the show. I genuinely thought I found my person, but unfortunately, there are some things you can’t move past in a relationship, so on my end, it couldn’t continue.”
Scarlett added that while she’s still recovering from the breakup, she isn’t ready to share too many details about what happened. However, she hinted that infidelity played a role.
“It’s not really something I’m ready to talk about for my privacy and theirs. But all I can say is, no matter how it ended, I still have a lot of care for that person — the same I have for Dylan as well.”
Reflecting on FWAW, Scarlett said her own experience has also changed the way she views Ally’s decision to walk away from Farmer Dylan after learning he had kissed another contestant.
“Ally opens up that she has obviously, unfortunately, been cheated on. At the time, I had never been in that position before. I have now, unfortunately, but at the time I hadn’t been in that position,” she said.
“So now, looking back, having gone through a similar experience to her, I understand with my whole heart why she left.”
The Farmer Wants a Wife reunion airs on August 2 on Channel 7 and 7Plus.
