The premiere of Farmer Wants a Wife (FWAW) 2026 is just around the corner, and Almond Farmer Jarrad has told Chattr why he’s extremely nervous about the show premiering.

Jarrad explained that while he signed up for FWAW with the genuine intention of finding the one, the fact that the show is about to air has made everything feel more real.

“I’m packing it. I said last night, we were out for dinner, and I said to the boys, like, what, why did I go on this show? I mean, I know why I went on it, but I was like, this part of it is scary now, it’s fine up until now, but now actually watching it is terrifying to me,” he explained.

He shared that he tries to remind himself his intentions for going on FWAW, but it doesn’t completely ease the anxiety he feels about watching every episode air on national TV.

“I guess for me, yeah, at the time going into it, I thought, well, you’ve got to go out of your comfort zone, you got to take risks, you know, hopefully it pays off for me. So, I guess that’s why I’ve done it, but yeah, this side of it, I’m definitely, a little bit scared to watch it now.”

Farmer Jarrad reveals the kind of girl he’s looking for on Farmer Wants a Wife

At 41, Farmer Jarrad is the oldest farmer on this season of FWAW, and he believes his life experiences have helped him define exactly what he’s looking for in a relationship.

“[I’m hoping to find] someone who’s down to earth, likes the outdoors, someone who’s like really genuine, and caring, all those sort of things‚ that girl next door type of person,” he told Chattr.

Jarrad added that if he finds the right person on FWAW, he sees himself settling down pretty quickly.

“In five years, hopefully I’m happily in a relationship, either married or in a long-term relationship, and yeah, just being a good team and sharing my life with someone,” he said.

Farmer Wants a Wife (FWAW) 2026 premieres on June 8 on Channel 7 and 7plus.
