Farmer Jason’s front-runner Beth made the tough choice to leave Farmer Wants A Wife this week. The Western Australian vet felt a pull to head home to see her six-year-old daughter, but it wasn’t an easy decision. However, in a new interview with TV WEEK, Beth hinted she might end up with Farmer Jason after all.

“Honestly, it was gut-wrenching [to leave],” she said. “I felt awful. I didn’t want to hurt him, especially after everything he’d already been through with other girls leaving. It really had nothing to do with him at all, it was just timing and circumstances.”

Beth was one of Farmer Jason’s top picks, and after the pair developed a connection during the speed dating round, she was chosen to come back with him to his farm before the other Ladies. During their romantic date, the pair sealed the deal with a kiss.

“He could have been the one… we got on like a house on fire,” Beth recalled. “We were really similar, very down-to-earth, very low-fuss. I was really fond of him. He’s just a really genuine, good bloke.”

While Beth left the show, she stayed in touch with Farmer Jason. Could this mean the pair secretly got back together after Farmer Wants A Wife wrapped up?

“I’m still in touch with Jase,” Beth admitted. “We kind of bonded over being single parents, so there’s always been that understanding between us. He’s someone I really respect, and we’re still in each other’s corner, just from opposite sides of Australia.”

The FWAW contestant hinted she was now seeing a new man, but she isn’t sure if he loves her yet. She didn’t name her mystery man, but it’s possible she could be referring to Farmer Jason.

Farmer Jason was hurt by all the Ladies leaving his farm

In an interview with Chattr, Farmer Jason admitted he was shocked when he found himself left with just two Ladies on his farm. “I wasn’t really expecting three women to be gone in the first week. It wasn’t supposed to be like that,” he said.

For a beat, he considered that he was the problem. “I had all the emotions running… what have I done? Have I done something wrong? Is there something wrong with me?” he asked.

Adding to this turmoil was the uncertainty from his final two Ladies, Logan and Poppy, wondering if they were there by default.

“[I had to] talk to both of them and say yes, I still wanted them both there. It was a very hard couple of days,” he recalled.

Farmer Jason may have some intruder Ladies coming his way to help bolster his numbers, but we still have hope that he ends up with Beth.

Farmer Wants A Wife (FWAW) airs Sundays – Tuesdays on Channel 7 and 7Plus.
