“I’m looking for a lady who’s outgoing. She’s keen to give anything a crack,” Farmer Dylan said earlier in the season. Viewers followed on with this quest all throughout the season, watching as he narrowed down his dating pool and culminating in a difficult decision in the FWAW finale.

Farmer Jarrad’s season-long quest for love came to a head in the FWAW Finale, where he picked between final Ladies Ally and Scarlett during a dramatic Final Choice Ceremony. It was a tight race between the pair, with Farmer Jarrad ultimately choosing Ally as his winner — but not without a few tears after letting Scarlett go.
“I have to lead with my heart. I’m really sorry Scarlett, but it’s not us,” Farmer Dylan said when breaking the news.
A happier ending was in store for Ally, who seemed positively chuffed when learning of Dylan’s choice. “I’m so excited to see where we go,” she said.

The finale brough an end to Farmer Dylan’s captivating love journey, which began in the premiere when he sent home Kiara, Rhianna and Jamie. He then brought five women back to the farm: Ally, Lily, Tennille, Scarlett and Renae.
From day one, Dylan’s journey looked like it might be the season’s fairytale arc. During the speed dates, he was immediately taken with Renae, who had caught his eye before they even met. Their first chat had proper rom-com energy, with Dylan admitting she knocked him off balance.
He also had chemistry with Scarlett, later saying he was “smitten” after their speed date, while the bubbly Ally made a memorable first impression by blindfolding him for a chocolate taste test.
Dylan threw a curveball when it came time to choose his first 24-hour date. Instead of picking potential frontrunner Renae, he chose Ally, calling her a bit of a wild card. Their date quickly became serious: Ally met his beloved grandparents, rode his horse Billy Bob and opened up around the bonfire about her biggest fears and plans to have kids.
Dylan initially held back from kissing her because he wanted to give the other women a fair chance, leaving Ally disappointed. But the restraint did not last long, as Dylan ran back for more during Ally’s confessional to the camera. The pair shared a sweet kiss, cementing Ally as a firm frontrunner.
After former frontrunner Renae was sent home, another shock came when Ally fled Dylan’s farm after he kissed intruder Keeley on a date, leading to Dylan trying to convince Ally to return, but she resisted. Meanwhile, Dylan and Scarlett’s connection only continued to deepen back on the farm.
Ally finally came back in time for the black-tie dinner. Dylan and Ally sealed their reunion with a kiss, which resulted in Keeley going home and Scarlett questioning Dylan’s ‘disrespectful’ behaviour.
Did Ally try to throw us off the scent ahead of her FWAW finale win?
While we now know she came out on top, Ally seemed to hint a pre-finale interview with Chattr that things might not have panned out so well for her.
“No matter the result of what happens, what you guys are about to see, just know that I still uphold that high respect for Dylan and do genuinely still believe that he is a gorgeous human being,” she told us, seemingly planting the seeds that perhaps she hadn’t won Dylan’s heart.
In the chat, Ally wanted to make it crystal clear that she still cared for Dylan and… it kind of felt like she was trying to appeal to Dylan himself. It got us wondering: could Ally be Dylan’s winner but they have since broken up, so now she’s trying to smooth things over?

Of course, we now know that isn’t the case — with Farmer Dylan and Ally scoring a happily ever after in the finale — but we might get a deeper insight into their relationship, including their seeming doubts, when the FWAW Reunion episode airs.
