Dylan and Ally on FWAW

Dylan and Ally’s date on the second episode of Farmer Wants a Wife (FWAW) seemed to go off without a hitch — except for one thing: she didn’t get a kiss. But viewers were then treated to an even sweeter moment when Dylan interrupted her post-date confessional and planted one on her.

In an interview with Chattr, Dylan opened up on why he decided to make the bold move, and revealed it wasn’t exactly a spur of the moment decision.

“Throughout the date with Ally, on the solo date, I, I didn’t have the courage to lean in and give her a kiss,” Dylan explained. “I was worried about getting rejected.”

The sheep farmer from Cherry Gardens revealed that producers told him that if he was still interested he could do it while Ally was recording a producer led interviews, so he decided to go in for the kill.

“I was told I could have an opportunity to do it while she was doing her voxy, and I snapped it up pretty quick, and I’m bloody happy I did it, because it looks good,” he laughed.

Should FWAW viewers expect drama on Farmer Dylan’s farm?

Dylan selected Renee, Ally, Lily, Tennille and Scarlett to come back and live on his farm, where he’ll date the women throughout the season while gradually narrowing the group down until only one remains.

In past seasons, some of the groups of Ladies have clashed, and the drama has affected the romantic relationships the Farmer has been trying to build. However, Dylan told Chattr that he didn’t need to worry about that on his farm.

“I don’t think there’s too much drama on my farm. I’ve got a really good group of Ladies, we’re all pretty down to earth. No one’s that gossipy or drama-y or whatever. Everyone gets along.

“In fact, I’m finding it quite difficult to break up a friendship group because they all seem more interested in each other than me. But that’s all right. We’ll keep ticking along,” he joked.

Farmer Wants a Wife (FWAW) airs Sunday — Tuesday on Channel 7 and 7Plus.
