Farmer Wants A Wife (FWAW) villain, Miranda Chopping, ended her journey on the reality show just as chaotically as the way she started.
The Instagram model’s run ended after Farmer Zac chose to send her off into the sunset. The 21-year-old had been one of Zac’s most talked-about contestants, with viewers questioning whether she was there for love or fame, an accusation she denied to Chattr.
On last week’s episodes, tension kicked off after Maya told Zac’s sister Isobel that Miranda had spoken poorly about her, including calling her ‘desperate’. On a double date with Zac, Maya and Miranda, things got extra awkward, and Miranda later confronted Maya at dinner.
In light of this confrontation, Zac said directly to Miranda: “I can’t see us going any further from here. I’m really sorry.”
Zac explained his decision to eliminate Miranda in a confessional. “Seeing Miranda say that at the table, it was sort of the nail in the coffin, Miranda was passive-aggressive against Maya and I just don’t agree with how things were gone about,” the apple farmer said.
In an interview with Chattr at the start of the season, Miranda spoke about feeling ‘frustrated’ over all the drama. “I did get so frustrated at times on the show,” she said.
“I just thought it was really hard hearing that I’m not there for genuine reasons when I completely was there for the right reasons.”
Miranda said her experience on FWAW mirrored some of her relationships on the outside. “Girls still talk about me behind my back… so that kind of follows me onto the show and it was hurtful. I just tried to stay strong and explain to Zac why I was there.”
Farmer Wants A Wife’s Miranda addresses the girl drama that led to her elimination
Miranda has no regrets about what unfolded between her and Maya on Farmer Wants A Wife. “When it did come up, I kind of just stood my ground,” she said. “Everyone will see that, but I think I just stayed confident in who I am, and I stood up for myself, and I will continue to do that.”
Ultimately, Miranda believes the other women were simply ‘jealous’ of her. “I’ve kind of learned at the end of the day, it comes down to being jealous, and that’s okay. If someone feels the need to speak about me behind my back to make themselves feel better, I just need to be strong and not let it get to me.”

That said, Miranda was affected by the girl drama at the farm. “I’d be lying if I said I didn’t care at all, like I am only human,” she said.
“I can’t control how anyone perceives me, but I can control how I conduct myself. If people want to have an opinion, that’s okay. I am pretty strong, and I’ve grown up with always having people having something to say.”
The response from Farmer Wants A Wife fans to Miranda’s elimination
Despite the drama she brought, FWAW viewers were largely happy to see Miranda exit the show. On a Farmer Wants A Wife Instagram video of Miranda’s abrupt exit, fans flooded the comments to say they thought Zac made the right choice.
“Thank goodness. Common sense has prevailed,” wrote one commenter.
“For Miranda, this seemed more like a ‘competition to win’ rather than falling in love with a soulmate,” added another. “She is young, hopefully she learns from this experience.”
As others joked about Miranda’s next big move. “What is next for Miranda?” pondered one user. “Love Island.“
Miranda reveals who she’s still friends with from Farmer Wants A Wife
Miranda does not speak to anyone from Zac’s farm — bar one girl. “Mieke and I were inseparable from the first day we got to the farm, and I’m still very close with Mieke. We speak every day, she’s obviously from Adelaide, but we still do spend time together,” Miranda said at the start of the season.
“We got very close on the show, we were living together the whole time we were there, and I was sad to leave before her, but we still maintained a very good friendship.”
She’s not friends with anyone else from Zac’s farm, but did forge some genuine friendships with some of the other women. “From the other farm, I’m friends with most of the girls. I’m very close with Lily from Dylan’s farm. She lives only five hours away, so we spend a lot of time together,” she said.
“I do talk to a lot of the girls most days, and it is nice to have gained some really genuine friendships out of this.”
Farmer Wants A Wife airs Sunday and Monday on Channel 7 and streams on 7Plus.
