Miranda Chopping has wasted absolutely no time becoming one of the most talked-about contestants on Farmer Wants A Wife (FWAW) in 2026.
The 21-year-old real estate agent from Queensland is on Farmer Zac’s farm, and according to her bio, she’s “ambitious, spontaneous and always up for something new”.
So far, Miranda has been positioned as the season’s pot-stirrer, thanks to teasers showing off her opinionated moments and quotable one-liners. She’s called herself “high maintenance”, asked “Why wouldn’t everyone love me?” and declared she’s “hard to dislike”.
In an interview with Chattr, Miranda addressed a potential “villain edit”, saying she knows confidence can be misunderstood when viewers only see tiny parts of someone on TV. She’s described herself as straight up and direct, rather than fake, and honestly, she seems pretty unfazed by the whole thing.
One storyline reportedly set to stir up some drama this season is that some of the ladies on Farmer Zac’s farm are questioning whether Miranda was on the show for the right reasons. Between her glamorous vibe and impressive Instagram following, Miranda is far from the typical ‘farm girl’ seen on this series.
But long before Miranda was on FWAW, she started out as a teen model — and the photos need to be seen to be believed. Unearthed via her old Instagram page, Miranda is a low-key unrecognisable as much more pale and very blonde teen model.

Chattr spoke to Miranda about the since-defunct Instagram page. “I did do a bit of modelling a few years ago when I was… I don’t even know how old I was. I was definitely younger. I didn’t even know that account still existed,” she joked.
Miranda has since pivoted away from modelling. “I’ve been through a bit of modelling, but it came down to modelling or swimming, and I was very obsessed with competitive swimming, so I chose swimming over anything else,” she said.

Looks a bit different now, no?
Miranda shares her plans for her Instagram career
At the beginning of FWAW airing, Chattr spoke to Miranda about her blossoming career as an Instagram influencer. Even before FWAW began, Miranda’s page boasted over 10k followers, with those numbers climbing even higher once the reality show debuted.
For Miranda, her Instagram success wasn’t in her master plan. “I’ve spent a lot of time building it over time. I do a lot of travelling, I like to dress up and go out and take photos. I think I just like posting so that the following kind of just come along with it,” she said.
“It’s not something I did for a purpose, it’s kind of just grown with everything that I’ve done, but I do love getting dressed up and taking photos of myself.” Hard relate!
That said, Miranda wants to assure people that she didn’t join the reality dating show to boost her Instagram following. “I’m not sure Farmer Wants a Wife is quite the show that you go on to gain a following,” she said.
“I mean, if I have people following and supporting me, that’s always good. I’ll still be doing my travelling, still going out, still taking photos, and doing what I usually do on Instagram. I don’t think Farmer Wants a Wife will change it too much.”
Farmer Wants A Wife airs at 7pm on Mondays and 7:30pm on Tuesdays on Channel 7 and streams on 7Plus.
