Farmer Dylan's 'one regret' about Ally as he reveals FWAW led him to his girlfriend

Farmer Wants A Wife alum, Farmer Dylan, teamed up with Farmer Zac and Maya to walk the 2026 TV Week Logie Awards, and the rodeo rider came with big news to share.

Fresh from his split with his winner Ally, Farmer Dylan shared he has a girlfriend. “I have been seeing a lady and she’s real cool,” Farmer Dylan spilled to New Idea. “We’ve been seeing each other for a couple of weeks now. Her and I are hitting it off like a house on fire.”

The bronco rider and his new girlfriend apparently have loads in common. “She’s into her horses and whatnot as well. Her and I are working pretty cool [together],” Dylan shared.

“After the Logies, I came home, and then my lady Bella she came down two weekends ago,” he said. “I went and seen her do her show horse stuff. It was pretty different. I never been to the show stuff before, but no, it was quite fun.” 

Despite his FWAW relationship ending with Ally, Dylan believed his time on the show led him to becoming ready for his relationship with Bella. “Money can’t buy that experience. At the end of the day, it is one of the best things I think for self-development,” Dylan said.

“I think even in my new relationship now, there are bits that I’ve brought from that [show], especially with communicating and talking about your feelings.”

Dylan alluded to his split from Ally in the podcast, admitting he could have handled their breakup better. “I don’t have any regrets. I think it panned out the way it was meant to, and probably my only regret is like post-show and whatnot. Yeah, probably a few things I could have done better,” he admitted.

The young farmer shared that he had to endure a lot of nasty online commentary after the split. “People love the love story. I mean, it didn’t work out for me. I’m copping it for it,” he said. “I’m not going to be with someone that I don’t think it’s going to work out to make the viewer happy.” 

When previously asked by New Idea if a potential engagement could be on the cards with Bella, Dylan replied that it’s still early days for the couple. “I’ve known this lady less than I did [the FWAW women on] the show,” he said. “I think I need a bit more time with her first.”

This news comes after Chattr asked Dylan if he was ready to date again after the FWAW Reunion aired, to which he vaguely replied: “I mean, I don’t really know. I did enough in eight weeks [on FWAW] to last me a while.”

Dylan told Chattr that he had decided to end the relationship. Dylan admitted his big dreams of being a champion saddle bronc rider didn’t align with Ally’s aspirations, as she wanted to settle down and start having kids in the near future.

“We went back to [my farm] in Adelaide and just yeah went about normal life for a bit, and then it kind of all got a bit much, I felt like I was stringing her along a dream that wasn’t hers,” he said.

“I just felt like Ally is a really cool chick, and I think she’s got her future planned out, and she knows what she wants, and I think she deserves the bloke that’s gonna give that to her, not some fella that’s not really willing to compromise on his dream for someone else.”

Ally told Woman’s Day she was willing to make sacrifices to stay with Dylan. “I was willing to reshape my life to join his but I also realised I needed to feel chosen in return. I was making plans to move and build a home and make that life work,” she said.

Ultimately, Dylan said he could have handled the breakup conversation better but didn’t regret his decision. “I don’t regret it,” Dylan told Chattr.

“I think it was the right thing to do, although it hurt her. I think it was only fair to her, even though she might not have seen it that way.”
