When an opportunity arose for Abiola to snag $15,000 from Big Brother Australias prize fund and leave the house immediately, she took it, telling the housemates that she desperately needed the money to visit the dentist and fix her late mum’s car.

Now, a little over a week since Abiola walked out of the house $15,000 richer, she’s shared an update with Chattr about how she’s spending her winnings.

“I went to the dentist today for my first consultation! I’m going back to get some more work done over the next few weeks. Honestly, I was somewhat embarrassed by how long it’s been since I went to the dentist, but after looking online, I know a lot of people are in the same boat I’m in. For real, get dental into Medicare,” she told Chattr.

Abiola’s mum passed away when she was just 13, leaving her a Honda CR-V. The car is one of Abiola’s only remaining connections to her, but it desperately needs repairing.

The Big Brother contestant told Chattr that she’s “hoping to get the car fixed in the next few weeks” and said she’s already got a rough idea of how much it will cost. She added that with the car and her dentist visit covered, she’s still got a little money left over.

“Having half of this in my bank account would’ve helped me so much. I couldn’t have imagined I would’ve walked out with 15K to my name. It’s honestly life-changing,” she said. “I should have enough to go visit family [and niece in WA] and have a small safety fund as well. Very grateful.”

Does Abiola regret leaving the Big Brother house?

Abiola was the only housemate on Big Brother Australia 2025 to self-evict, and if she hadn’t chosen to leave, she could have stood to win $135,000 in tonight’s finale, so does she regret her decision?

“I definitely had FOMO [fear of missing out] when I left,” she told Chattr. “It’s weird not living with everyone every day. We didn’t have that long left, and I didn’t think I was going to win; it was the best decision for me long term.”

Abiola said that while she felt bad taking her portion of money out of the overall prize fund, she was really appreciative of how understanding her fellow housemates were.

“What was surprising was how supportive everyone was. On screen, it seemed like 3 weeks, but in there it felt like 3 months. I made so many great connections and friends, and for so many of them to be cheering on my decision meant everything,” she said.

The Big Brother Australia 2025 finale airs on Monday, December 8 at 7:30pm on Channel 10 and 10Play.
