With another season of Australian Idol almost wrapped for the year, the grand finale is right around the corner — and the stakes couldn’t be higher. After months of unforgettable performances, the competition has been narrowed down to just three finalists, each bringing something completely different to the stage. Now, it’s anyone’s game as one contestant prepares to walk away with $100,000 and a recording package.

Who is in the Grand Finale?
21-year-old Kesha Oayda from Jindabyne has secured her spot in the Australian Idol final — and she’s quickly become one to watch. Host Scott Tweedie told Chattr that she’s been the biggest surprise of the season so far. “Kesha’s one where she’s really found her voice, and she’s one to watch,” he said.
18-year-old Harlan Goode from Brisbane has also earned his place in the Top 3. Dubbed the “power ballad king,” Scott revealed he can already see Harlan commanding big stages around the world.
Rounding out the Top 3 is 23-year-old Kalani Artis from the Central Coast, who has also secured his spot in the Grand Finale, with viewers already marking him as “one to watch.”
Who are the hosts of Australian Idol 2026?
The hosts of Australian Idol are Ricki-Lee Coulter and Scott Tweedie.
Ricki-Lee is no stranger to the Australian Idol stage after competing in the show’s second season in 2004. She returned to host the 2023 reboot — and has remained in the role ever since.
Scott also joined the 2023 reboot on Channel 7. Prior to Australian Idol, he was a radio presenter on Nova 106.9, hosting a range of shows including Prank Patrol and The Loop. He also splits his time between Australia and LA, where he is a music DJ, the founder of Aussie Xmas, and is currently building Saauce Studios.
When is the Australian Idol 2026 Grand Finale
The Australian Idol 2026 grand finale will take place across two nights, Monday, April 13, at 7:30pm as the Top 3 take to the stage for the last time.
Then, on Tuesday, April 14, at 7:30pm, the winner of Australian Idol 2026 will be crowned.
What will the winner of Australia Idol win?
The winner will receive $100,000, a recording package with Hive Sound Studios, a songwriting camp with Sony Music Publishing, marketing support from The Annex, and VIP access to the ARIAs and TV WEEK Logie Awards.
