Dessert Masters 2024’s Emelia Jackson dishes on this year’s “ridiculous” cast

Emelia Jackson was one of the first cast members announced for Dessert Masters 2024 and she’s already spilling the tea about the other chefs she’ll be up against.

Dessert Masters 2023 saw some of Australia’s greatest pastry chefs, chocolate connoisseurs and baking experts step into the famous Dessert Masters kitchen and battle it out for $100,000. Among them were pâtissier Adriano Zumbo, MasterChef icon Anna Polyviou and, of course, the season’s winner, Gareth Whitton.

According to Emelia, fans can expect a similarly star-studded cast for the 2024 season.

What did Emelia Jackson say about the Dessert Masters 2024 cast?

At the time of writing, only three other cast members for 2024 have been announced; Darren Purchese, Reece Hignell and Katherine Sabbath.

Out of those big names, Emelia has a slight advantage in the sense that she’s the only one who’s won in the MasterChef kitchen.

However, she told Yahoo Lifestyle Australia that the contestants this year are so high-profile that her small advantage practically falls to the wayside.

“I think people looked at me and were like, ‘This girl knows what she’s doing’ because I had competed in that kitchen before,” she told the publication.

“But for me personally, I was looking at all the competition going, there’s no way I can take on any of these people. Walking in with Darren Purchese I was like, ‘This is ridiculous’.

The MasterChef Australia: Back to Win 2020 winner admitted that she struggled with her confidence after discovering who she was up against.

“It just felt really overwhelming to me, like, pure panic. And then I kind of found my feet after that. I had my meltdown very early on, and then I was like, okay, this is muscle memory now, I know this, I can do this.”

Emelia Jackson was asked to be on Season 1 of Dessert Masters

Emelia was invited to be a part of the inaugural season of Dessert Masters, but she turned the opportunity down because she was due to give birth on the first day of filming.

“I knew they were going to call me back, I just didn’t know when,” she said.

“And then also, I didn’t know if I was ready to actually launch myself into that chaos again. So I was like, if I don’t get the phone call, is that a bad thing? If I do get the phone call, I’m obviously going to say yes.” she added.

“So I was unsure about the whole thing and very nervous about it.”

Emelia has definitely piqued our curiosity! Here’s hoping for some more MasterChef Alum – Andy Allen or Poh Ling Yeow, perhaps?

MAFS’ Eden says Jayden lying about *that* confession still “baffles” her to this day

Remember when Jayden Eynaud told Eden Harper during Married At First Sight’s confessions week that he slept with his ex’s best friend while she watched? It was truly shocking television in every sense of the word.

The shock quickly turned to confusion when a woman claiming to be Jayden’s ex-girlfriend told PEDESTRIAN.TV that his confession was a lie, though. Why — WHY — would you lie about something like… that?

It’s something that still baffles Jayden’s TV bride Eden, who admitted to Chattr that she found out it was a lie “during MAFS airing” like everyone else.

That’s a lot of months to be kept in the dark. Keep reading to see what Eden had to say about Jayden’s confession lie.

How did Eden feel when Jayden told her that confession?

Even though it seemed like Jayden’s confession was quickly forgotten about by viewers, Eden revealed that the whole thing really changed things for the relationship.

“When I first experienced the confession letter in real life, I had only known Jayden a few weeks,” Eden told Chattr.

“It was hard at the time as I really liked him. Prior to finding out I trusted him 100 per cent and but that trust was completely shattered,” she continued.

“It made me question and overthink everything he ever said from that day on.

“So as much as I did make the choice to forgive him, the trust was subconsciously broken and I wouldn’t have been the best version of myself in the relationship from then on.”

How did Eden feel watching Australia’s reaction to Jayden’s confession?

Eden says that having to watch the confession on television was difficult, especially because of how much their relationship had grown outside the experiment in that time.

“Reliving the story all over again when it aired was really hard for me as by that point I’d been with the guy for seven-to-eight months and was completely in love.

“It was tough seeing everyone’s opinions and they way people spoke about him online.”

How did Eden find out Jayden’s confession was a lie?

While Australia found out about the lie within 24 hours of the episode airing, Eden thought it was true for months — up until Jayden himself admitted it was false.

“The day after it aired, his ex-girlfriend had come out and claimed the story was false,” Eden recalled.

“After that, he did admit to me that it didn’t happen.

“It made me really angry to be honest — angry at him for putting me through that and putting his ex through that and for sharing it on national television.

“It honestly made me so angry that if I wanted to be with him, I really had to choose to forgive him for it and never bring it up again, which is the choice I made.”

She’s a stronger woman than me! Jayden and Eden announced their break up just after MAFS 2024 stopped airing.

As for why Jayden would make up a story that doesn’t necessarily make him look great of national (and later international) television, Eden hinted she’d probably never know.

“It baffles me to this day why anyone would make that up,” she explained to Chattr.

“I couldn’t get a straight answer from him as to why, just lots of different reasons and blaming other people which didn’t make any sense.”

Jayden was accused of lying during home visits week as well.

It’s situations like this that make me want to study the human mind.

A famous Aussie Kween is competing in RuPaul’s Drag Race Global All Stars

RuPaul’s hit show is going international with a brand spanking new series called RuPaul’s Drag Race Global All Stars.

The latest drop from the Ru Paul franchise will see twelve queens from as many countries compete for the grand prize of $200,000. RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under Season 2 runner-up Kween Kong will be representing Australia.

Who are the RuPaul’s Drag Race Global All Stars judges?

The queen of all queens RuPaul Charles will be the lead judge, joined by resident judge Michelle Visage, who recently took over as the host of Drag Race Down Under, and choreographer Jamal Sims.

A rotation of stars from across the show’s international franchise will also step in throughout the season as temporary judges.

“The world is not ready for RuPaul’s Drag Race Global All Stars,” RuPaul said in a statement.

“Twelve queens representing their home countries raises the stakes to a whole new level. Plus, the international mix of charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent will, pardon my French, blow your f***ing minds.”

There is, it’s ‘Olympics of Drag’. The theme is a nod to how Drag Race is referred to in the drag community due to the intense challenges, preparation, skill and physicality required to take part.

Farmer Tom responds to Krissy’s claims that they slept together while filming FWAW

Farmer Tom has responded to claims made by Farmer Wants a Wife 2024 contestant Krissy Smith that the couple were sexually intimate right up until the day he picked her co-star Sarah Cranley.

Krissy told Yahoo Lifestyle Australia that she and Tom had sex for the first time on the overnight date, which took place during episode two.

“When I met Farmer Tom we had a connection straight away,” Krissy told the publication.

“It was obvious to me that I was his first pick and I am embarrassed to reveal we slept together on the first night at his farm.

“The connection felt real.”

The FWAW 2024 runner-up said that Farmer Tom called her his “priority” and said that she believed he only had eyes for her.

“We had a sexual relationship right up until the day I was told he was not going to choose me in that finale. You could imagine how shocked I was to be sidelined at that point.”

“We had lay in bed talking at night and I couldn’t have imagined he would pick anyone else,” she added.

Farmer Tom responded to Krissy’s claims

Farmer Tom has vaguely responded to Krissy’s bombshell claims and didn’t deny their sexual relationship.

“I don’t feel the need to comment as it was a long time ago for me, and I have moved on. I also don’t really feel the need to share my intimate relationships with the public,” he told Yahoo Lifestyle Australia.

He added, “But I am grateful for the experience and have learnt more about what sort of person I want in my life from [it], and I will just continue on with my life and hope I find someone who makes me happy and build a life with them. And hope everyone else from the show finds what they are looking for, too.”

Farmer Tom’s final two Farmer Wants a Wife ladies

The Farmer Wants A Wife 2024 finale saw Farmer Tom break up with Krissy and instead confess his love to Sarah, who returned the sentiment.

“At this point in time Sarah, you are the person I want a relationship with and I’m falling in love with you,” he told her.

“I think I’m already there,” Sarah replied in delight.

Meanwhile, Krissy was left blindsided by Tom’s decision.

“I did not see this coming, I had to kind of back it and believe it. I was obviously pretty confident in that connection,” Krissy said through tears after Tom broke the news.

Are Farmer Tom and Sarah still together?

Nope – the Farmer Wants a Wife couple didn’t last long in the real world. Although Sarah and Tom were still together at the Reunion, which was filmed a month after the Final Picks, they split shortly after.

Sarah confirmed the news in an Instagram post.

“I applied to Farmer Wants A Wife with the sole intention of falling in love with Tom and I certainly surprised myself with how deeply I felt for him in a short amount of time,” she began.

“Unfortunately, that lifelong love that I was seeking with Tom did not turn out the way that I had hoped it would, but it’s definitely a relief now to put that truth out there that Tom and I are no longer together. Relationships don’t always work and people are not always who you think they are.”

Welp, sounds like she dodged a bullet!

The gang’s all back for Gogglebox Australia Season 20

Gogglebox Australia is coming back for Season 20 and none of the cast are missing the iconic occasion.

Yup, all of the season 19 cast will be setting up shop on their sofas and tuning into some of Australia’s spiciest TV shows for 2024.

The hit show won a Logie for Most Popular Entertainment Program last year and could be following that up with Gogglebox being nominated for Best Structured Reality Program in 2024. On top of that, Gogglebox is up for seven AACTA Awards.

GoggleBox season 20 release date and how to watch it

The first episode of Gogglebox Season 20 will air on Wednesday, August 14 at 7.30pm on Foxtel.

The same episode will then premiere on free-to-air at 7:30pm on Thursday, August 15 on Channel 10 and 10Play.

Who is in the Gogglebox 2024 cast?

We already know that all of the Season 19 cast is returning which means The Delpechitra Family, grandparents Lee and Keith, besties Anastasia and Faye, and the iconic family of four – The Daltons – will all be back.

On top of that, they’ll be joined by Gogglebox alum Adam and Symon, Kerry, Izzy and her baby Ruby, Matty, Malik and Jad, siblings Tim and Leanne, buddies Milo and Nic, friends Kevin, Bob and Jared.

However, it’s not just the old-timers who’ll be in the new season. Sisters Mia and Bree and their good friend Lainey who joined the gang in Season 19, will be coming back for Season 20.

Has the Sit With Us backlash affected Ella & Dom’s podcast listens?

While Domenica Calarco and Ella Ding‘s Sit With Us podcast rose in listenership during the same month it received heavy backlash for their interview with Jack Dunkley, recent data shows a decline for June 2024.

According to Triton Media’s Australian Podcast Ranker, Sit With Us reached 140, 621 listeners in May, 2024 — the same month the pair interviewed Jack and his partner Tori Adams.

This is compared to the previous month — April 2024 — when Sit With Us pulled in 50, 729 listeners. March reached 51,333 monthly listeners and February reached 57,205 monthly listeners.

The listenership figures for June 2024, have just been revealed and the Sit With Us podcast finished the month with 44,237 monthly listeners.

While May was their highest monthly listeners for 2024, June was their lowest (when it came to regular programming).

In January 2024, Sit With Us only released two episodes and didn’t place in the top 200 ranking (number 200 had 28,522 monthly listens, so we can assume it was below that).

What was the Sit With Us backlash?

Domenica and Ella started inviting MAFS 2024 contestants on their Sit With Us show in May, including Tim Calwell, Jack and Tori, Jono McCollough and Ellie Dix and Eden Harper.

It’s when they posted a snippet of their interview with Jack and Tori that public scrutiny began. Many people flocked to the comments section to share why they believe platforming someone like Jack in this way is wrong.

Abbie Chatfield also pointed out how damaging their actions were in the comment section.

“I can’t believe I’m seeing you both dismiss what he said, because he was “pushed”,” Abbie wrote.

“That’s the excuse for all abusive men. And what he did was verbal abuse. This is really worrying. Particularly in the current climate, this is really incredibly awful.”

She even uploaded a podcast episode explaining why Domenica and Ella’s choice to interview Jack in the way that they did was extremely harmful.

There are a lot of different reasons as to why the interview with Jack could be seen as harmful — Abbie’s It’s A Lot podcast episode is actually a wonderful and educational explainer — but Domenica and Ella’s video appeared to victim blame Lauren Dunn for the “muzzle” comment.

Why did the podcast get more listens in the same month as the Jack Dunkley interview?

It’s important to note the different factors that would have contributed to the Sit With Us podcast’s May numbers.

There was vested interest in the podcast episode Australia was talking about, as well as the multiple other MAFS interviews and exclusives that month.

The pair also released an episode addressing the backlash during the month of May.

Why did the podcast get less listeners in June?

It is impossible to pinpoint one particular reason for June’s numbers. While the backlash to the Jack episode could’ve played a part, there were a number of other differences on the podcast in June.

MAFS was no longer a focus of the podcast in June, following three months of the show being a focus on the podcast with recaps or guests.

As of their May 28 episode, Ella started doing the Sit With Us podcast either solo or with guests while Domenica checked herself into a mental health facility.

Domenica has been vulnerable and open with her mental health journey since returning to social media. She is currently is Europe with her family and it is not known if and when she will be returning to the Sit With Us podcast.

It is also not known how the Jack interview and Ella and Domenica’s response to the backlash will affect their podcast listens moving forward — and ultimately what the future of the podcast will be.

MAFS 2025’s Rhi Disljenkovic: Meet the fitness blogger with reality TV connections

Melbourne-based fitness blogger Rhi Disljenkovic was one of the first brides to walk down the aisle on Married At First Sight Australia 2025 (MAFS).

As we already know, Rhi was shocked when she caught sight of her previous situationship, Jeff Gobbels, at the end of the aisle.

But, aside from Rhi’s familiar husband, what else do we know about her? Read on to find out!

Who is Rhi Disljenkovic?

Rhi is a fitness enthusiast from Victoria, who runs a wellness Instagram page called train.in.au with her friend Shayna.

When the MAFS 2025 bride-to-be isn’t busy reviewing gyms around Melbourne, Rhi works as an IT account manager at Seisma Group and has held similar managerial roles at other companies.

A friend described Rhi as someone who isn’t afraid to share her emotions.

“Don’t get me wrong, she is a doll who also loves to have fun but wears her heart on her sleeve,” the pal told Daily Mail Australia. “She is absolutely stunning inside and out.”

Like many reality stars these days, Rhi already has some connections in the TV space.

On Instagram, she’s friends with The Bachelor leads Matt Agnew and Sam Wood, as well as MAFS 2024’s Eden Harper.

Even though Rhi is fresh from a seven-year relationship, she told 9Now that she’s never really been in love.

She’s looking for someone who’s loving and has a warm heart, and who’s ready to settle down and start a family with her.

“Found it hard to sleep”: MasterChef’s Josh ‘Pezza’ shares his disappointment at coming second

Josh ‘Pezza’ Perry made it all the way to the MasterChef Australia 2024 grand final but narrowly lost to Nat Thaipun.

Despite making it so far, Pezza told Chattr in a post-elimination interview that coming runner-up was a hard pill for him to swallow.

“I just think you get so close and you want to take it all, but there had to be somebody that was second, and it was just me on the day,” he said.

“When I look back, I was lucky that I wasn’t 22nd; I was very close!” he joked.

Pezza struggled to come to terms with being the runner-up

Coming runner-up in a popular cooking show like MasterChef is no small feat. However, Pezza opened up about how he struggled to come to terms with the fact that he was so close to winning.

The home cook shared that he watched the finale alongside his family and said it was an emotional experience.

“We watched it, we had a tear, and just reflected on it. For them [Pezza’s kids] to say, ‘Look, Dad, we love you and we’re proud of you’ before they left, that was pretty heart-wrenching,” he said.

“I was so sad that I couldn’t do it for them, but they were still so overly pleased with what I achieved.”

Over time Pezza realised what he’d accomplished

While he might not have won, over time, Pezza gained a new perspective on just how impressive his MasterChef journey truly was.

“The first couple of days after it was filmed I found it hard to sleep and I was thinking about it a lot. But as time goes on, and you reflect on it, I realised what I had actually achieved,” he said.

“There are thousands of applicants, so to just get accepted into the top 22 [was massive]. And then to be one of the finalists out of that 22, who are amazing home cooks, the best in Australia.

“I’m still really happy now with what I’ve done and what I’ve achieved and I wouldn’t change anything,” he added.

Fortunately, Pezza got to take home a $40,000 cash prize for coming runner-up, as well as a long, long list of fans that he’s racked up over the season thanks to his lovable larrikin attitude.

“Shot myself in the foot”: MasterChef 2024 winner Nat thinks her strong start was a disadvantage

Nat Thaipun got off to a flying start by bagging the season’s only Immunity Pin, however, the MasterChef Australia 2024 winner thinks her early success worked to her detriment.

Nat was crowned the winner of MasterChef 2024 after a nail-biting four-hour Pressure Test against Josh ‘Pezza‘ Perry set by Clare Smyth in the grand final.

During a post-win interview with Chattr, Nat revealed that her strong start meant that she didn’t have much room to grow through the season.

“Honestly, I feel like I shot myself in the foot for doing so well at the start. Especially having an immunity pin, there’s just so much pressure,” she explained.

“I was so aware of the fact that when people watch this, they’re gonna have to want to see me grow – and I wanted to see myself grow.

“After the first episode, I was just like, ‘this is a lot to work creatively in order to keep pushing and pushing’,” she added.

Nat was sceptical of fellow contestants’ praise

While Nat’s cooking skills were clear as day to fans, the Victorian-based chef said that she often doubted herself, even when other contestants reassured her.

“I felt really bad because all the contestants felt like I was really blase with the whole situation. Because every time they told me I was gonna win, or that I was so good, I just dismissed all of it,” she admitted.

“I was like, ‘No, you guys are so much better, you guys know how to do pasta and pastries and stuff like that that I can’t do.’

“The only strong suit I have is the ability to pull out really bold flavours, and also work with brand new ingredients that are put in front of me,” she modestly added, despite nailing a huge array of cuisines and dishes throughout the season.

What’s next for MasterChef’s Nat?

The obvious next step for a MasterChef winner is to use the $250,000 prize money to open a restaurant. However, Nat isn’t quite ready for that.

“I am going to go travel the world and work at multiple restaurants. I want to broaden my palate and my knowledge before I even think about opening a restaurant,” she said.

Nat’s won’t just be experiencing different cultures and dishes – she’s planning on getting right amongst the kitchen.

“I think it’s really valuable. No culinary school could even teach you the things that you learn when you’re in service and working at restaurants really doing the hard yards – even doing the dishes and cleaning.

“I want to see all of that to understand because I’ve got the front-of-house background but I feel like I need to understand the back-of-house first before I could do anything else.”

Nat Thaipun is the winner of MasterChef Australia 2024

Nat Thaipun has officially been crowned the winner of MasterChef Australia 2024 and has taken home the $250,000 prize.

Nat was up against Josh ‘Pezza’ Perry in the grand final, and the two contestants were tasked with two separate challenges to determine the winner.

Round One of the MasterChef Australian finale

In the first round, Nat and Pezza were challenged to cook a dish that showcased peppercorns.

Nat opted for a dish called Sai Ua Scotch Egg, and she was delighted to see that her scotch eggs were perfectly gooey when the judges cut into them.

Meanwhile, Pezza made a Steak and Brussels Sprout dish. While the judges deemed the cook of his meat perfect, they weren’t sure about his brussel sprout puree.

In the end, Nat received a score of nine out of ten across the board, giving her a final round one total of 36 out of 40.

Pezza scored eights from three judges, and a nine from Jean Christophe Novelli, giving him a score of 33 out of 40.

Round Two of the MasterChef Australia finale

Pezza and Nat were tasked with cooking Clare Smyth’s four-star Michelin dessert for the second round.

Nat originally struggled with her aerated chocolate but ended up plating up a stunning completed dish for the judges, however, there were some texture mistakes along the way.

“It’s a lack of refinement,” Jean Christophe commented of Nat’s faults.

Pezza was unable to create the malt puff, which meant that he missed an entire element.

“On one hand you’ve got a dish, that what was on the plate was near perfect,” Andy commented of Josh’s creation. “But it was missing the jewel in the crown – that malt puff.’

And, then we’ve got a completed dish, that looks beautiful but with faults. So, it’s a tough one for us today.”

Who won MasterChef Australia 2024?

Pezza was awarded 28 out of 40 for his round two dish, bringing him to a total of 68.

Nat was scored a seven by each judge, which brought her to a total of 71.

Which meant Nat won MasterChef Australia 2024.

Although it’s a storyline we’ve seen before in the Game of Thrones universe and George R.R Martin‘s work in general, viewers of the hit show have some thoughts about the latest House of the Dragon incest scene where a character imagined having sex with his mother.

While it’s almost expected from the same show that shocked viewers with a confronting blowjob scene earlier this month, I can understand the confused reaction from the general public when it comes to the House of the Dragon incest scene in question.

What happens in the incest scene with Daemon’s mother?

The footage shows Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) having a very sensual dream about his mother, Alyssa Targaryen (Emeline Lambert).

“Daemon, you were always the strong one. The finest swordsman. The fearless dragon rider,” Alyssa tells her son as he… goes down on her.

At one point, she says, “If only you’d been born first, my favourite son.”

This was the first appearance viewers have seen of Daemon’s mother as she passed away during childbirth complications.

For the uninitiated, Daemon is also married to his own niece Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy). In this House of the Dragon episode, the visions he has of his mother are sent by witch Alys Rivers (Gayle Rankin) to wig him out.

One person questioned the point of the scene including Daemon’s mother, labelling it as “so cringe, disgusting and absolutely unnecessary” on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Daemon snap out of it! Eating thy mother’s box was not on my bingo card for this episode,” another wrote.

Here’s every single solo dish Pezza has cooked on MasterChef Australia 2024

Josh Perry, who’s affectionately known as Pezza, is undoubtedly the dark horse of MasterChef Australia 2024.

His dish wasn’t even shown in the first episode. In fact, he didn’t have a single solo dish on air until episode five where he made his debut with a basic plate of meat and three veg.

However, as the season progressed, so did Pezza’s dishes. By mid-way through MasterChef 2024, Pezza was playing up sophisticated dishes like Bacon and Pecan Slice and Duck Two Ways with Poached Pear and Berry Sauce.

Josh impressed the judges week after week and found himself in the semi-finals against Nat Thaipun and Savindri ‘Sav‘ Perera. He was the first contestant sent through to the finale, and he will be joined by Nat.

Upon finding out the news, Pezza told the judges Andy Allen, Jean-Christophe Novelli, Sofia Levin and Poh Ling Yeow that he knew Nat would make it to the grand final.

“I know she’d be here, but I bet you didn’t think I was going to be here,” he laughed.

Meet MasterChef’s Clare Smyth, who catered Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s wedding

It was always expected that the final Pressure Test for MasterChef Australia 2024 would be set by someone iconic, and that’s certainly the case with Clare Smyth taking charge.

Clare has multiple Michelin stars under her belt, worked with Gordon Ramsay for over a decade and catered a royal wedding; and that doesn’t even begin to cover all of her career achievements.

Clare’s challenge will see her set a four-hour pressure test for the final two contestants, and the one who impresses Clare and the MasterChef judges the most, will be crowned the MasterChef Australia 2024 winner.

 She catered Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding

Clare was chosen by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to cater their post-Royal Wedding reception at Frogmore House in May 2018.

According to the Independent, Clare collated a menu that included burgers with wagyu beef and pork belly for the royal couple’s guests.

“It couldn’t have been more perfect… it was completely surreal,” Clare was quoted saying by the publication at the time.

“They [the Duke and Duchess] were involved in the menu, it was very important to them… it’s a once in a lifetime thing so it’s nice to be a part in it.”

Clare’s career achievements

Clare worked under Gordon Ramsay for 13 years and was Chef Patron of his namesake restaurant.

In 2017, she went on to open her own restaurant, Core by Clare Smyth in London, which was awarded three Michelin stars in the 2021 Michelin Guide.

The achievement made her the first British female chef to receive three stars in the UK and only the 4th British chef in history.

In 2021, Clare opened her Sydney restaurant Oncore, which sits in Barangaroo and overlooks the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Has Clare been on MasterChef Australia before?

She has – MasterChef Australia 2024 certainly isn’t her first rodeo. Clare first appeared on the cooking show way back in 2017 on Season Nine alongside former judges Gary Mehigan, Matt Preston and George Calombaris.

Then, in 2021 she returned to set a Mystery Box Challenge during Season 13.

Clare appeared on MasterChef Australia once again in 2023 for Season 15, where she set a Pressure Test challenge for the top six, who had to recreate a dish from her Sydney restaurant, Oncore.

But, it’s not just MasterChef Australia that Clare’s appeared on. She’s also featured on Masterchef UK, Top Chef USA, Masterchef Italy and Netflix’s The Final Table.

Of course, Clare will be back for the finale episode of MasterChef Australia 2024, with an epic challenge for the final two home cooks.

Here’s every single solo dish Nat Thaipun has cooked on MasterChef Australia 2024

Nat Thaipun’s picture-perfect Kangaroo Larb dish won her the only MasterChef Australia 2024 Immunity Pin, and she’s been serving up mouth-watering plates ever since.

Throughout her time on the show, Nat has cooked everything from native Australian desserts to intricate, Michelin-star-inspired delights. She also leaned into her Thai heritage and whipped up a bevy of creative Asian dishes.

However, it hasn’t all been completely smooth sailing for MasterChef’s Nat. In the semi-final, she took part in a Service Challenge against Savindri ‘Sav‘ Perera and Josh ‘Pezza’ Perry.

The task was overseen by Australia’s Curtis Stone, and saw Nat stumble at the Dessert stage. However, judges Andy Allen, Jean-Christophe Novelli, Sofia Levin and Poh Ling Yeow sent Nat and Pezza through to the MasterChef Grand Final.

Have betting odds predicted whether Nat or Pezza will be crowned the MasterChef 2024 winner?

The MasterChef Australia finale is upon us, and either Josh ‘Pezza’ Perry or Nat Thaipun will be crowned our 2024 winner.

While viewers will have to tune in to the MasterChef grand final to see who actually takes out the prize, betting odds suggest who the winner could be.

There’s one front clear runner and her name may not come as too much of a surprise to viewers.

Nat – who won the Immunity Pin in the first challenge of the season – and the first Immunity Challenge in Hong Kong – is tipped to take out the entire competition.

What are the current betting odds for the winner of MasterChef Australia 2024?

At the time of writing, Nat has odds of $1.22, which is a much lower return than Josh ‘Pezza’ Perry’s $4.50. This means that punters have bet more money on her to win, in comparison to Pezza.

How do betting odds work?

Betting odds are tied to dollar amounts, and those with lower odds are recognised as more likely to win, hence the lower return. For example, if someone bets $1 on Nat winning MasterChef and she does, they’d receive the amount that outcome is listed at, which is $1.22.

The return is based on how much someone bets, so if they bet $10.00 on the same thing, they’d receive $12.20. If they bet $100, they’d receive $122 and so on.

Do betting odds correctly guess the winner?

While betting odds aren’t technically proof of someone winning or losing, they have given a good indication of who will win in the past.

For example, I’m A Celebrity Australia 2024 odds tipped Skye Wheatley to be crowned Queen of the Jungle, which she was. Similarly, Steph and Gian had the best odds to win The Block 2023 and they took out the competition.

Hotel Cocaine star Danny Pino reveals what the actors actually snort during * those * scenes

Have you ever wondered what actors are actually snorting when they rack up a line of white powder on camera? Well, who better to answer that than Hotel Cocaine’s Danny Pino and Yul Vazquez?

The men play brothers in Stan’s thriller series, which is set in a 70s night club and naturally, involves a whole lot of ‘cocaine’.

When asked by Chattr what the little (or big!) white lines are really made of, Danny, who plays Roman Compte, joked that the actors legitimately took cocaine.

“It’s cocaine, that’s why it’s so expensive to shoot,” he laughed.

Yul, who plays Nestor Cabal, debunked Danny’s joke.

“I believe it is powered milk,” he clarified.

Danny added: “It might be powdered milk, which, by the way, is explosive for the people who are lactose intolerant.”

Danny and Yul’s characters drew parallels to their real lives

Danny’s character is a Cuban exile who’s the general manager of the Miami hot spot, The Mutiny Hotel, the location where a whole lot of drug-related debauchery takes place.

Roman’s brother, Nestor is one of Miami’s biggest suppliers of cocaine, and he finds himself in a sticky situation when he’s caught between his brother’s business and the Drug Enforcement Agency.

Both Yul and Danny have a deep-rooted connection to both the Cuban culture, and the city of Miami, which is something they opened up about during their interview with Chattr.

“It’s very personal to me. It’s my family’s history. My uncle was in the Bay of Pigs invasion. So it’s all super personal to me,” Yul explained.

Danny, who was born in 1974 in Miami, Florida to Cuban parents, said that Hotel Cocaine only represents a small “sliver” of Cuban culture.

“The vast majority of the Cuban American Experience has nothing to do with narcotics, or, you know, criminality, or any of that,” he explained.

“There’s a sliver of that experience that we’re exploring that catalyzes, the drama of our show. Infusing the Cuban American experience with the reality in 1978 of this sort of burgeoning cocaine war, makes the decisions that the characters have to evaluate much more life and death.

“With a backdrop of the geopolitics of Cuba, and the influence of Russia, and the US during the Cold War and using Cuban Americans and Cubans as proxies to fight that war, that’s also a backdrop of our show.”

MAFS’ Eden, Lauren & Sara on where their relationship stands

Married At First Sight‘s Sara Mesa and Lauren Dunn have detailed where their relationship with Eden Harper stands after she recently claimed the pair had “double standards” in a comments section.

Last week, So Dramatic posted a video of Sara calling out Tim Calwell for an Instagram reel he posted with a sign saying “100% bitch”. In the video, his voiceover said that the sign “reminded” him of “someone”.

Below the video of Sara’s thoughts about Tim’s reel, Eden commented saying that she called MAFS costar Cassandra Allen a “c*nt” and that Lauren called Jono McCollough a “dog”, “snake” and “c*nt”.

“The double standards are laughable,” Eden said.

Lauren posted her own video saying she “was the queen of the insult” but that the issue at hand was “men with a platform perpetuating language that is violent to women”.

It was widely reported that hairdressers and makeup artists tried to keep Eden and Tori Adams separate from Lauren and Sara during filming (which was over a year ago now).

However, the recent back and forth on social media raised questions about where their relationship is right now.

Were Eden, Sara & Lauren friends while filming MAFS?

While things appeared to be friendly between Eden, Sara and Lauren in the early stages of filming the show, it was apparent that Eden and Sara’s relationship was fractured once Eden pushed Sara to reveal to Tim that she saw her ex-boyfriend during filming.

Sara told Chattr that she and Eden “were really close” at the beginning of the experiment and that they were speaking “every day on the honeymoon”.

“There were a lot of things that I shared with her,” Sara said.

“I feel like I was very close to her, and she kind of alluded to the fact that we weren’t as close as, I guess, I’m making it out to be, but we were very close.

“I think it was after the ex-boyfriend stuff came out that we yeah, we obviously weren’t gonna be friends after that.”

Eden said that her relationship with Sara started changing a few weeks into the MAFS experiment.

“We were friends at the very beginning of filming, but I began to distance myself after a few weeks when I realised that our values and behaviours didn’t align,” Eden told Chattr.

“The friendship ended when myself and Jayden [Eynaud] brought to light just a small portion of Sara’s behaviour.”

While Eden and Sara’s relationship came to an end, Lauren and Sara’s friendship grew throughout MAFS and continues to be strong after the experiment as well.

“Lauren and I, we created a friendship out of nothing that we didn’t really think was gonna happen. And that’s it. We don’t speak to anyone else but each other,” Sara said.

Where is the drama stemming from now?

When it comes to Lauren and Eden, both seemingly claim that they’ve spread misinformation about the other.

“I’ve tried to stay out of the drama with them [Sara and Lauren], but they’ve spread a lot of false stories about me through the media, most of which I just don’t talk about,” Eden claimed to Chattr.

“I have no relationship with Eden,” Lauren also confirmed.

“I don’t like the leaking of malicious, fabricated gossip to the press.”

“I wish her nothing but the best but hope she can move on with her life and just leave myself and Sara alone.

There have been too many wonderful things that have come from our time on MAFS, and that’s what we should be focusing on going forward.”

Earlier this month it was revealed that Timothy Smith and Lucinda Light are no longer friends, as well as MAFS 2023’s Tahnee Cook and Melinda Willis.

Stars share tributes for Shannen Doherty following the news of her death

Shannen Doherty has sadly died after a long battle with cancer. She was just 53 years old.

Shannen was well known for her roles in Charmed, Beverly Hills, 90210, Heathers, Mallrats and more.

Shannen’s publicist confirmed the tragic news to PEOPLE overnight.

“It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the passing of actress Shannen Doherty,” Shannen’s longtime publicist, Leslie Sloane, confirmed in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE.

“On Saturday, July 13, she lost her battle with cancer after many years of fighting the disease.

“The devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend was surrounded by her loved ones as well as her dog, Bowie.

“The family asks for their privacy at this time so they can grieve in peace,” the statement continued.

Costars mourn Shannen Doherty’s death

Shannen’s costars and friends have been taking to social media to grieve following the news of her death.

Rose McGowan, who starred in Charmed following Shannen’s departure from the hit show, remembered her friend as a “soft-hearted badass” with the “heart of a lion”.

Jennie Garth starred in Beverly Hills, 90210 with Shannen, both in the original version of the series and the 90210 reboot which started airing in 2008.

“I am still processing my tremendous grief over the loss of my long-time friend Shannen, the woman I have often described as one of the strongest people I have ever known,” Jennie wrote alongside photos of the pair from their early Beverly Hills, 90210 days.

Shenae Grimes-Beech, who played Annie Wilson in the 90210 reboot alongside Shannen, shared her tribute on Instagram Reels.

“To the icon, the legend, the take-no-sh!t WARRIOR of a woman, Shannen Doherty… thank you for inspiring me in more ways than I can bring myself to put into words right now,” Shenae wrote alongside a video she posted to Instagram.

“You paved the way and it was an absolute privilege and honour to follow in your footsteps.”

Shannen Doherty cause of death

Shannen was diagnosed with breast cancer almost a decade ago. She confirmed the news in August 2015 when she was aged 44.

“Yes, I have breast cancer, and I am currently undergoing treatment,” the actress said in a statement to PEOPLE at the time.

Two years later Shannen went into remission but announced in 2020 that the cancer had returned as Stage 4. It was made public in court documents that her cancer was terminal, as reported by TODAY.

Shannen underwent brain surgery in 2023 following the cancer metastasising to her bones and brain.

Shannen had been open and honest about her condition in her ‘Let’s Be Clear’ podcast, sharing that earlier treatment protocols were no longer working.
