Farmer Wants a Wife 2025 Farmers: Meet the eligible bachelors looking for love

Farmer Wants a Wife is gearing up to (hopefully) bring us a well-deserved love story for 2025. The four Farmers who will be leading that charge have been confirmed, and it’s time for us to meet them!

Eight farmers were shortlisted in July 2024 to be the leads for the upcoming season, and applicants were encouraged to apply for the one they liked the look of.

Now, the final lineup of 2025 Farmers has been announced—and Corey, Tom, Thomas, and Jarrad will search for a farm wife on the wholesome reality show.

Find out more about the Farmer Wants A Wife Farmers below.

Farmer Jarrad

Farmer Jarrad is 21 years old and describes himself as a “goofy creative”. He lives on a sheep farm outside of Stanthorpe, Queensland.

“I’ll also send you crazy from singing too much,” he says. (I’ve watched his intro reel and can confirm he has a fantastic voice!)

Farmer Thomas

Farmer Thomas

Farmer Thomas is a 35-year-old “hardworking and driven farmer” living on a wheat, lentil and barley farm in Kimba, South Australia. He is the oldest of the Farmer Wants A Wife farmers in our 2025 crop.

He’s a whopping 6’4 in height and is looking for someone who is “kind, caring and honest” with their own passions.

Farmer Corey

Farmer Corey on Farmer Wants a Wife

Farmer Corey is a 24-year-old working on a beans, hay and cotton farm in Biloela, Queensland. What’s he looking for?

“I’d like to have a partner who is kind and giving and able to enjoy the simple life, the farm and the way we live. I want a team player and a best mate to take on life with.”

Farmer Tom

Farmer Tom is a 31-year-old sheep farmer from Borambola, New South Wales. He’s keen to find a wife to share his life on the farm with.

Farmer Tom loves Taylor Swift (music) because he’s only human. He’d love to find “someone who looks for positives instead of negatives”.

Friendly reminder: Farmer Wants A Wife Australia has created 10 marriages and 27 kids (!!!) since it started airing. It’s a much better success rate than Married At First Sight and Love Island, right?

Farmer Wants a Wife 2025 will air after Easter on Channel 7 and 7plus.

Meet MAFS 2025’s Paul Antoine who’s a bit of a reality TV veteran

Paul Antoine was the very first Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 groom to be announced, and we’re unsurprised that he’s a recognisable face.

While ex-The Bachelor contestant Sierah Swepstone was one of the MAFS 2025 brides, she isn’t the only one who’s dipped her toes in a dating reality show before.

Yep, Paul — who was on reality TV just two years ago — is one of MAFS 2025 grooms.

Paul Antoine on MAFS 2025 at his wedding.
Paul Antoine on Married At First Sight 2025. Image: Nine.

What reality show has Paul Antoine been on before?

Paul starred on The Real Love Boat Australia in 2022. The short-lived show was basically Love Island on a boat.

Paul was one of 21 singles who tried to find love with the help of host Darren McMullen, cruise director Hannah Ferrier, head of entertainment Daniel Doody and captain Paolo Arrigo.

Unfortunately (or fortunately?), Paul’s quest for love was about as successful as the show itself, which has since been axed.

Paul is a fitness coach living in Perth. However, he is originally from France and moved to Australia 11 years ago.

When he was on The Real Love Boat Australia, he was hoping to find someone down-to-earth and was a fan of long chats — so we can only assume that’s what he’s looking for this time around, too.

Who is MAFS’ Paul Antoine?

According to Paul’s Channel 9 bio, he’s a hopeless romantic, who’s gone through the small dating pool in Perth.

He’s had two long-term relationships in the past and is ready to find his forever love. Paul said that person would ideally be a woman with European flair, with a smile that lights up the room.

Who is Paul Antoine matched with on MAFS 2025?

Paul’s MAFS bride is fashion influencer and aspiring actress Carina Mirabile. She’s also no stranger to the silver screen, with an acting career that includes roles in two short films and appearances in several commercials.

When they first got TV hitched, Carina wasn’t exactly over the moon. As luck would have it, the two had already dated before the show but, after a hiking date, Paul ghosted her. So, not exactly the best start.

Despite that little hiccup, it seems like the couple has managed to move on, and their relationship has only gotten stronger since.

In fact, Carina may have hinted at their current status during a Chattr interview.

When asked about all the MAFS drama unfolding, Carina told us she hasn’t been keeping up because she’s too busy spending time with Paul and the rest of the cast.

“To be fair, my phone is going off, and I’m just enjoying life with Paul and all the rest of the cast that are my friends,” she said.

Life with Paul, you say? Could this be third time lucky for the TV vet? Guess we’ll have to wait and see!

Married At First Sight 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

MAFS 2025’s Sierah Swepstone: Meet the ex-Bachelor contestant looking for love

Possibly one of the most recognisable faces on Married At First Sight 2025 (MAFS) is The Bachelor’s Sierah Swepstone

If that name doesn’t ring a bell for you, then maybe you’ll remember her as the self-professed “tall, horny bogan” from Jimmy Nicholson‘s season.

Here’s everything to know about Sierah.

MAFS 2025 star Sierah Swepstone winks at the camera on The Bachelor set, with flowers and candles in the background
An icon. Image: Ten.

Sierah Swepstone is the first ex-Bachelor contestant on MAFS

While there always seems to be reality TV crossovers — like MAFS 2024’s Ben Walters apparently being approached for The Bachelors and Janelle Han choosing MAFS 2023 instead of receiving roses — this will actually be the first time an ex-contestant has appeared on the MAFS social experiment.

And if it was going to be anyone, we’re low-key excited it’s Sierah. Her exit from Jimmy’s 2021 season of The Bachelor was iconic.

Remember when she told all of Australia that she “definitely had chlamydia”? We’re all for a woman of honesty who doesn’t give two shits about the judgement.

Apparently, Sierah was poached by MAFS producers

MAFS 2025 star Sierah Swepstone on The Bachelor set, wearing a long necklace and giving an unimpressed look
Bring it on! Image: Ten.

Daily Mail Australia reported that Sierah was poached by MAFS producers. An insider told the publication, “She is a nutter but amazing for television because she just doesn’t care.”

Honestly, it was a shame that she was on Jimmy’s season (because it had one of the worst ratings in television history). However, it’s good she’ll be making her return on a show people actually care to watch.

We’re getting Lauren Dunn 2.0 vibes.

Sierah will be joining fellow reality TV personality Paul Antoine from The Real Love Boat, who’s already been married off to his ex-fling Carina Mirabile.

Alongside them is a wave of actor hopefuls, including Ryan Donnelly, and former Neighbours actor turned businessman Jeff Gobbels.

We can smell their new followers from here.

Married At First Sight 2025 airs Sundays at 7:30pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Is Raygun going to be on I’m A Celebrity Australia 2025?

Rachel Gunn — AKA Raygun — is reportedly in the sights of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! producers following her viral breakdancing routine at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

According to New Idea magazine, the 36-year-old has been deemed “the ideal campmate” by unnamed producers of the hit TV show. On top of that, two of the I’m a Celebrity Australia 2025 cast clues strongly suggest that the Olympian will be heading to South Africa.

Robert Irwin and Julia Morris I'm a celebrity cast 2024

In the past, the show has had the likes of Bernard Tomic, Abbie Chatfield, Domenica Calarco, Brendan Fevola, Callum Hole and many more in the campsite.

Is Raygun going to be on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here?

Although Raygun hasn’t officially been confirmed to join the I’m A Celebrity Australia 2025 cast yet, there is some compelling evidence supporting the idea.

In December 2025, the first cast clue was posted on the I’m a Celebrity Instagram account, revealing that an Olympian was entering the jungle.

“A headline-grabbing Olympian has a ticket to the African wilds. They love freestyle; will the Jungle break them?” the narrator said in the clip.

Then, in mid-January 2025, a second clue was published, which further indicated that Raygun was the celeb in question.

The bonus clue shared three emojis representing the mystery Olympian: a kangaroo, a croissant, and a cap.

Of course, Raygun famously imitated a Kangaroo during her routine at the Paris Olympics, during which she wore a cap. It doesn’t exactly take a rocket scientist to connect the emojis to the controversial breakdancer.

Furthermore, back in August 2024, New Idea magazine reported that the I’m a Celebrity producers were in talks with Raygun about joining the show.

“The public will want to hear her story in the jungle. Love her or loathe her, she has everyone talking,” the source told the publication.

Raygun made a video cameo at the 2024 Logies in August, where she encouraged the industry to whip out some of her moves to celebrate the night.

Raygun surprised the TV industry with an appearance at the Logies.

“It’s these viral moments and water-cooler conversations that IAC [I’m a Celebrity] will want to capitalise on,” the source said.

How did Raygun become famous?

Raygun has been the topic of the internet since she performed at the Paris 2024 Olympics, busting out the sprinkler and some kangaroo-esque moves that baffled the audience.

@sanantoniozoo

The roos at Kangaroo Krossing thought Raygun NAILED IT, and should have received a perfect score at the Olympics. 🦘🥇 #animals #kangaroos #cuteanimals #olympics #funnyanimals

In August, Raygun was referenced on The Jimmy Fallon Show and at an Adele concert that same month, truly proving that she got the world talking (and smiling).

While not everyone was supportive of Raygun making it to the Olympics—where she was awarded zero points—it’s likely that people are keen to hear more about her story.

Perhaps we will in the jungle?

I’m a Celebrity Australia… Get Me Out Of Here Australia 2025 will premiere on January 19 on Channel 10 and 10Play.

The White Lotus Season 3 trailer: Beaches, brawls and a body bag

The White Lotus Season 3 is taking us to a luxurious trip to Thailand, but like previous seasons, not everything will be sunshine and rainbows.

The new trailer for The White Lotus Season 3 has dropped and it is pure and utter chaos. From scenes of boozy nights out, to a body bag getting wheeled out, the new instalment will be nothing short of dramatic.

Ahead of the drop, let’s dive into everything we know so far about The White Lotus Season 3.

Carrie Coon, Michelle Monaghan, and Leslie Bibb are all in the new series.

What is The White Lotus Season 3 release date?

The third season of the enthralling series will be available to stream from February 17 on BINGE.

Is there a White Lotus Season 3 trailer?

There is! The first full-length trailer dropped on January 28. Watch it for yourself below.

Who is in The White Lotus cast for Season 3?

We now have the confirmed cast for The White Lotus season 3, featuring Season 1’s Natasha Rothwell, the spa manager who was taken for a ride by Jennifer Coolidge‘s character, Tanya McQuoid.

The cast for season 3 also includes Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Sarah Catherine Hook, Jason Isaacs, Lalisa Manobal, Michelle Monaghan, Sam Nivola, Lek Patravadi, Parker Posey, Natasha Rothwell, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Tayme Thapthimthong, and Aimee Lou Wood.

Additional cast includes Nicholas Duvernay, Arnas Fedaravičius, Christian Friedel, Scott Glenn, Dom Hetrakul, Julian Kostov, Charlotte Le Bon, Morgana O’Reilly, and Shalini Peiris.

Walton has gone ahead and done God’s work for White Lotus fans by sharing a bunch of behind-the-scenes photos of the Season 3 cast. The carousels include photos of cast members Michelle, Carrie and Leslie.

Will Jennifer Coolidge return to The White Lotus?

In Season 2, fan favourite and the only returning character, Tanya, was seemingly killed off. Will we see her return from the dead, or perhaps a long-lost twin sister will come in to take her place? Fingers crossed for a Coolidge resurrection, but HBO has been keeping mum if she’s returning.

However, with the release of the full trailer and no Tanya in sight, things don’t look promising.

What is The White Lotus Season 3 filmed?

Jason Isaacs, Parker Posey, Patrick Shwarzenegger, Sarah Catherine Hook, and Sam Nivola in white lotus season 3

After vacationing in Maui in Season 1 and Sicily in Season 2, HBO revealed in a statement that Season 3 will take us to the stunning setting of Thailand. Filming locations include Bangkok, Koh Samui and Phuket.

What hotel is The White Lotus filmed at?

The first two seasons were shot at Four Seasons resorts in Hawaii and Italy, and Season 3 followed the trend.

While there are Four Seasons resorts in both Bangkok and Koh Samui, Bloomberg reported in early 2024 that The White Lotus Season 3 would be filmed at the Koh Samui location.

AFAR has also reported that Phuket’s Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas will feature in Season 3 scenes.

What can we expect from The White Lotus Season 3?

white lotus season 3 cast Lalisa Manobal and Tayme Thapthimthong
Lalisa Manobal and Tayme Thapthimthong. Image: HBO

In a press release, we got a vague synopsis for this season, “The social satire is set at an exclusive Thai resort and follows the exploits of various guests and employees over the span of a week.”

If the past two seasons are anything to judge this season off, we know it will be a very dramatic week for the guests.

During an episode of the Unpacking explainer series, White said, “The first season kind of highlighted money, and then the second season is sex.

“I think the third season would be maybe a satirical and funny look at death and Eastern religion – and spirituality. It feels like it could be a rich tapestry to do another round at White Lotus.”

The show has absolutely cleaned up at awards shows in recent years. In total, the series has been nominated for more than 80 awards, winning 38, including two Golden Globes and 10 Emmy awards.

Is there a Season 4?

Yes, there will be a Season 4 of The White Lotus.

The next season has already been confirmed on the show’s Instagram, but they have kept the details very threadbare.

“Good news travels fast. #TheWhiteLotus is excited to welcome you to a new destination,” the Instagram caption read.

Where can I watch The White Lotus in Australia?

Seasons 1 and 2 are available to stream on BINGE.

The White Lotus Season 3 will air on BINGE from February 17, 2025.

Charlotte Crosby teases Aussie Shore chaos ahead of the show’s premiere

The official Aussie Shore cast, trailer and release date have dropped to get us all very, very excited for this undeniably bonkers show.

Callum Hole was the first announced member of the new Aussie Shore cast (so consider us fans of the show already) and now 10 more names have been added to the mix.

Aussie Shore is basically Geordie Shore down under and it will have the one and only Charlotte Crosby at the helm.

Keep reading for everything we know about the Aussie Shore cast so far.

What has Charlotte Crosby said about Aussie Shore?

Charlotte has teased viewers about the wild shenanigans that will happen on Aussie Shore. The former Geordie Shore star called the show the “ultimate Australian party adventure” and gave viewers a sneak peek into what to expect from the series.

Who is in the Aussie Shore cast?

Charlotte gave Kyle and Jackie O a taste of what we can expect from the Aussie Shore cast earlier this year and it all sounds very spicy.

Confirming that none of the Aussie Shore cast knew each other before filming began, Charlotte said this new generation “are pushing boundaries” that we didn’t even know existed.

What’s Callum Hole from?

Callum will be adding Aussie Shore to his reality TV resume after appearing on Love Island Australia, Love Island Games and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Earlier this year rumours circled that Callum would be returning for Love Island 2024 off the back of his I’m A Celeb success, put perhaps Paramount beat Nine to the punch?

“A huge addition to an already incredible cast! AUSSIE SHORE IS GUNNA BLOW EVERYONES MINDS,” Charlotte wrote on the Callum announcement post.

What’s Charlotte Crosby’s role on Aussie Shore?

Charlotte’s 12-year run on Geordie Shore makes her perfect for the role of House Boss on Aussie Shore.

Earlier this year, Charlotte confirmed to Kyle and Jackie O that she was filming the upcoming show but that the cast were all around a decade younger than her.

“That’s why I’m the boss,” she explained.

The Voice singer who shocked the nation with her screamo Britney Spears cover

Living rooms around the nation were surprised when The Voice Australia 2024 contestant Mol Turner whipped out powerful vocals that no one was prepared for.

On the August 26 episode of The Voice, 17-year-old Mol chose Britney Spears‘ iconic track Toxic — but with one very big death metal twist.

Sporting a shaggy blonde mullet, heavy eye makeup and chained jeans, Mol slowly built up to the chorus with an eerier and edgier take on the early noughties tune.

As she hit the chorus, well, The Voice coach LeAnn Rimes‘ reaction says it all:

the voice mol turner

The Voice coach Kate Miller-Heidke turned around for Mol, who is from the South Coast in New South Wales, meaning the teenager will now be on the Australian musician’s team.

What is Australia saying about Mol Turner’s audition?

With the show primarily showcasing mainstream genres and producing pop artists, Mol’s performance was surprising in a way that Australian audiences are loving.

While some viewers didn’t love the performance and are entitled to that opinion, the response is overwhelmingly positive.

“So good to finally see someone singing screamo,” someone commented on The Voice Instagram, noting that her “growl” was fire.

“An impressive death metal take on ‘Toxic’ that was so entertaining, she has quite an impressive vocal range — I think she will surprise us with what else she is capable of doing,” someone wrote to The Voice Australia Facebook.

Mol’s take on this song is definitely a welcome change. Even people who don’t neccesarily like death metal or screamo as a genre could still appreciate that she nailed it.

“Couldn’t think of anything more painful than listening to Death Metal but that was a fantastic performance and you can only appreciate the talent behind it,” one person wrote.

“Love it or hate it but that was amazing well done Mol !!!!. I loved every second!” wrote another.

“Not my cup of tea, but the girl has raw power. Glad she has the chance to perform on stage. All talents should be showcased,” an Instagram commenter added.

We can’t wait to see what Mol performs next!

The Voice Australia airs on Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Tuesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

An It Ends With Us sequel looks unlikely amid cast feud rumours

It Ends With Us just hit cinemas but there’s one sequel-shaped question on everyone’s lips: will we get a movie adaptation for It Starts With UsColleen Hoover‘s follow up novel to It Ends With Us?

Mentions of It Starts With Us have definitely been happening on the red carpets for the It Ends With Us movie but, as of right now, it hasn’t officially been green lit. In fact, it’s looking murkier than ever considering all the supposed beef between leads Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.

So what is Colleen and the It Ends With Us crew saying about the sequel? Here’s what you missed while trying to dissect the rumoured It Ends With Us drama.

Blake in It Ends With Us sequel It Starts With Us
Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni in It Ends With Us. Image: Sony

Does It Ends With Us have a sequel?

Colleen’s It Ends With Us book has a sequel called It Starts With Us.

While It Ends With Us follows the story of Lily Bloom trying to navigate a relationship that becomes abusive, It Starts With Us picks up where the last novel ended and focuses on Lily’s relationship with Atlas. (I’d go into further detail, but I don’t want to invite any spoiler backlash!)

The It Ends With Us book was released in 2016 and It Starts With Us came out in 2022.

it starts with us movie
It Starts With Us was released in 2022. Image: Simon & Schuster.

Justin, It Ends With Us director and lead actor, optioned the first novel back in 2019 — before It Starts With Us was even published.

Will there be an It Starts With Us movie?

A sequel is an obvious decision based on the huge box office success of It Ends With Us.

While in early August it appeared that no one had secured the rights for the It Starts With Us movie, The Hollywood Reporter is now reporting that Justin and Wayfarer Studios do have the rights for the sequel film.

If there was to be an It Ends With Us sequel off the back of the film’s success, it would be an obvious decision to keep the original cast including Blake as Lily, Justin as Ryle Kincaid, Brandon Sklenar as Atlas Corrigan and Jenny Slate as Alyssa Kincaid.

That being said, there have definitely been sequels that have deviated from the original casting (albeit usually awful).

But even if Justin was no longer in the role of Ryle or as the film director, a sequel involving Blake would mean the pair would still need to work together in some capacity. Because of this, there have been doubts over whether or not the film will go ahead.

What has Justin Baldoni said about an It Ends With Us Sequel?

Justin told Entertainment Tonight that he believes someone else should direct the sequel.

“I think that there are better people for that one,” he said. “I think Blake Lively’s ready to direct, that’s what I think.”

When asked whether or not he’d spoken to Colleen or Blake about a sequel, Justin admitted that he hadn’t.

“I haven’t. I have no idea what that story would be,” Baldoni told TV Insider at a press junket, noting that he’s trying to stay in the present.

“I’m just kind of doing my best to take this all in because it’s been five years to even get us here. So I can’t even fathom another story yet, but I’m so happy that fans love it and that she did it.”

What has Colleen Hover said about an It Starts With Us movie?

Author Colleen has definitely entertained the idea of a movie sequel.

“I think whoever decides to take charge of the next one would do it justice,” she told ET.

“I think they’re all in it for the right reasons, so I think that will be exciting. But it’s a lot of people to get the same schedules together again, so we’ll see.”

In regards to Blake coming on as director, the author said she’d “absolutely” be into that.

Considering It Ends With Us is all anyone’s talking about right now — and considering a lot of people want to see more of Atlas — we think a sequel could definitely be on the cards.

It Ends With Us is now in cinemas.

It Ends With Us’ Brandon Sklenar addresses online criticism of Blake Lively

The It Ends With Us drama has been dominating our algorithms for the past fortnight, moving from a rumoured rift between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni to an all-out public scrutiny of Blake’s promotional run. Now, costar Brandon Sklenar has addressed the criticism.

Taking to Instagram this week, Brandon released an online statement to discuss for “vilifying the women of this cast” is “counterproductive” to the film’s message.

Why are people criticising Blake Lively?

This month, Blake has been gradually dragged online for interviews, including one where she tells the audience to “wear their florals” for a film about domestic violence.

Old interviews have also been surfacing including one where she is rude to an interviewer and one where she makes a transphobic slur.

In one interview, the interviewer asks how those who personally resonate with It Ends With Us‘ themes can go about discussing it with Blake, to which she jokes about sharing her location or address alongside Brandon, who plays love interest Atlas Corrigan in It Ends With Us.

What did Brandon Sklenar’s statement say?

“I wanted to take a minute and address all this stuff swirling online,” 34-year-old Brandon wrote in an image uploaded to his Instagram account.

“The women of this cast stand for hope, perseverance, and for women choosing a better life for themselves,” he continued.

“Vilifying the women who put so much of their heart and soul into making this film because they believe so strongly in its message seems counterproductive and detracts from what this film is about.”

For weeks, rumours have been circling of creative differences between Blake, who plays lead actress Lily Bloom in It Ends With Us, and Justin, the director and also the lead actor playing the role of Ryle Kincaid.

When he was asked about an It Starts With Us movie — the It Ends With Us sequel — Justin suggested Blake as director.

“What may or may not have happened behind the scenes does not and hopefully should not detract from what our intentions were in making this film,” Brandon said.

“It’s been disheartening to see the amount of negativity being projected online.”

He called for people to stop spreading hate online and to remind themselves of the core message of the film.

“This movie is a harsh reality check for the men who need to get their shit together and take responsibility for themselves and their actions,” he wrote.

“Ultimately it’s meant to spread love and awareness. It is not meant to once again, make the women the ‘bad guy,’ let’s move beyond that together.”

It Ends With Us is in cinemas worldwide now.

The “powerful” Home and Away moment everyone’s talking about

Home and Away fans are praising the soap for the “powerful” portrayal of grief by actor Ethan Browne (Tane) on the show’s August 19 episode.

In the emotional scene, Tane mourns the loss of Felicity (played by Jaqui Purvis) following her shock death while performing the Haka.

Perri, played by Cantona Stewart, watches on in concern and heartbreak as Tane grieves Felicity.

Home and Away fans have been quick to share their thoughts on the episode, praising the scene along with Ethan’s acting and the inclusion of Maori culture.

Home and Away hair and makeup designer Laura Vazquez wrote, “So powerful, so beautiful. Felt every emotion in this scene,” on an Instagram post sharing the scene.

“Absolutely love that the Maori culture and traditions has been brought into the show. Such a beautiful culture,” another comment read.

“Finishing with the Haka was a perfect ending to the episode. And done with such pure emotion,” said another.

“Couldn’t stop crying watching this,” a commenter added.

Felicity collapsed at Cash and Eden’s engagement party during the August 12 episode. Felicity and Tane split late last year after Tane discovered she had been taking birth control pills behind his back.

At the engagement party, Felicity and Tane danced, flirted and instilled hope in viewers at home who have been rooting for their relationship. She then got blurred vision and collapsed before being taken to hospital.

The doctor declared she had suffered a brain aneurysm and she was eventually taken off life support on the August 19 episode.

When Home and Away producer Lucy Addario said we’d need tissues for this unexpected death, she wasn’t messing about.

Home and Away airs Monday – Thursday at 7:30pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.

Kate Miller-Heidke reveals which coach was “trigger happy” with The Voice buzzer

The Voice 2024 is set to premiere this August with Guy Sebastian, Kate Miller-Heidke, Adam Lambert and LeAnn Rimes leading the charge as coaches for the new season.

Apparently there’s one celebrity coach that got a little overexcited this season though, with fellow The Voice judge Kate labelling them as “trigger happy” with that big red button.

Adam Lambert was “trigger happy” on The Voice 2024

“Adam was super trigger happy,” Kate revealed in an exclusive interview with Chattr, explaining that he chewed up most of his singer positions within the first half of the blind auditions.

“He turned around for for so many people very early on in the filming and then he found himself with one spot left for, like the second half of the blinds,” Kate explained.

“He got a bit overexcited.”

On The Voice, four judges have traditionally gotten to choose 12 singers each. If they turn around for a contestant who chooses to be on their team in return, it means that one of their 12 positions have been filled.

What type of artists did Kate Miller-Heidke press the buzzer for?

Kate explained to Chattr that she turned around for moments that really struck her.

“You’re just listening to hear that one magic moment,” Kate explained to Chattr. “It’s such a cliche, but that magic moment in a song that gives you goosebumps or surprises you in some way.”

“Sometimes it’s really it can be hard to tell because a lot of people are struggling with nerves. It’s a deeply nerve-wracking experience to get up on that stage and you’re just waiting to hear that that kernel of something amazing.”

Kate met Adam and LeAnn for the first time on The Voice 2024

Kate revealed to Chattr that it was her first time meeting both LeAnn and Adam, the latter of which became one of her “favourite” people.

“They were both so lovely,” Kate explained of meeting Adam and LeAnn for the first time on The Voice.

“Leanne shot to superstardom when she was only 12 years old,” Kate recalled.

“She’s lived her entire life as a very famous person, but she’s still an artist to her core. She still takes the art and craft of singing really seriously and she’s so good at what she does.”

“And Adam, he’s lightning in a bottle. He’s just brilliant. He and I were sitting next to each other for the whole season, so we got to hang out and chat a lot.

“He is just one of my favourite people. He’s so funny and irreverent and kooky. He’s brilliant.”

Why did this just become the friendship we never knew we needed? Cute as hell.

The Voice airs on 7 and 7Plus from Monday, August 19.

FBoy Island recap: If ‘The Hot One’ isn’t an FBoy I want a refund

FBoy Island 2024 has landed and no one’s happier than me to see a big burning dick on the sand to kick off the Season 2 recaps.

fboy island season 2 episode 1 recap
burn motherfucker

This season we have three new leading ladies tasked with figuring out if the men vying for their love are FBoys or Nice Guys.

Choose wrong and they’ll be rorted out of the prize money.

fboy island season 2
this is fine

First we have Nicole, a model who is asking the bare minimum from a man: to be heard and not just seen.

see me hear me love me!

Krystal (who you remember from The Bachelors) is on the hunt for a “mid” — AKA a six of out 10 — because they’re fabulous at licking pussy.

where is the lie

Ally, our final leading lady, has dated “devil dick” — AKA Vernon Lyon from FBoy Island Season 1. She doesn’t even need to say his name.

I was younger then

Our host and saviour Abbie Chatfield is ready to introduce the ladies to the men of FBoy Island, but first they must finish the last leg of the 14-km City2Surf.

fboy island nicole
see you in 25 hours

First the boys are introduced to Nicole and it is immediately obvious that they have smelt model (and perfect underboob) because they cannot control their dick energy of varying sizes.

fboy island season 2
arooga

Next up is Krystal. She has placed second in City2Surf at two hours and 12 minutes, only to see a familiar face from the Gold Coast.

fboy island
omg is that the rando from Sin City

However, the guy she may or may not have rooted at Toolies isn’t the one she’s got her eyes set on. While she’s adamant about a mid who bothers to find the clit, she has instead chosen “the hot one”.

fboy island season 2
It is I, ‘The Hot One’

No, she literally called him that, in order to clarify that she’s not talking about this guy.

I lick pussy better than The Hot One tho

Ally places third for City2Surf, finishing at two hours and 19 minutes. She also has her eyes on The Hot One.

this should end well

The ladies and the men then head back to their respective villas where it becomes apparent that Frank has been declared as an FBoy by literally everyone.

Why? He was handsy with Krystal and… as for the guys? I think they just reckon he’s a toss.

Meanwhile, The Hot One has decided he likes Nicole the best.

fboy island season 2
The Hot Ones must stick together

Back at the women’s HQ, Abbie is getting to know the ladies better.

Ally confirms dirty dog Vernon dropped the L-word on her before going on a bender and blocking her.

that second bag will do it

Ally’s revenge? Implying to all of Australia he has a small dick.

that checks out

Krystal opens up about being the child of an FBoy. Her father cheated on her mum while she was pregnant with Krystal and now she feels like she has a responsibility to stop the chain.

We love Krystal and this is a powerful story. FBoys think their behaviour is funny but it actually can be really fucking traumatic. OK?

“My Fboy radar? Unmatched,” Krystal says.

fboy island season 2
not counting Felix Van Hofe

The bonfire

Once Jerome (the one who wears Crocs) shares that likes “licking ass” and “eating ass” (just like Flume), the FBoy Island crew head to a bonfire.

fboy island season 2
Cue Love Island montage

Krystal confirms she may have “sucked” off that guy from the Gold Coast but does not confirm if it was on Cavill Ave. Her memory is really failing her for someone who writes FBoy reminders in her notebook.

So far we know that the guy who wore a leather jacket on an island called her the wrong name and the guy who was on The Amazing Race isn’t sure if he wants to give up the single life.

We also know that everyone’s obsessed with Nicole, even though we all know she is going to choose The Hot One.

as per my last email, I would like to be heard

Sadly The Hot One is also The Dense One because he tells a woman wearing a full face of makeup that she’s a “natural beauty”.

fboy island season 2
lol this is makeup

Nicole reminds him of the makeup she is wearing, while looking at him with the same eyes lined with eyeliner and shaded with glitter.

“Doesn’t look like it,” he responds. Does this man think we came out of the womb looking like Mila Kunis in her Black Swan era?

you’re telling me those diamantes under your eyes aren’t permanent?

Someone open their TikTok and show this man a GRWM.

Thankfully another man named Nick takes over and he knows the word “intrinsic” so please, do not be fooled by his earlier peck pumping.

I brought my thesaurus

Krystal, who was once on The Bachelors, has taken a liking to Paddy, who was once on The Bachelorette.

“Paddy, he isn’t the hottest,” Krystal says and my heart breaks from him watching this back right now.

fboy island season 2
which means you’ll be fab at going down

Krystal can sense an anaconda in those pants so she gives him a pash with so much tongue it requires a KFC wet clean up towel.

slurp

“I love how you played with my tongue,” he tells her and I may just vomit on my television screen.

da fuq u just say

In other areas of the party, a man with tatoos decides to dry-root Nicole’s foot and Frank is trying to convince Krystal he’s a nice guy because his ex slept with his mate behind his back.

That doesn’t make you a nice guy, it just means you have fucked friends.

fboy island season 2
nice try

It’s time to choose who the ladies will be taking on their first dates.

Nicole chooses Jack (the man who can both use big words and pop his pecks), Krystal chooses Frank (to try and determine his FBoy status once and for all) and Ally goes for The Hot One (The Christian Who Has Sex Before Marriage AKA The Man Who Thinks Women Were Born With Eyeliner).

fboy island season 2
you lack common sense but as long as you fuck before nuptials we’re good

The first dates

Ally is wet. She’s dickmatised by The Hot One’s past four-year relationship and ability to talk nicely about his ex.

a man who doesn’t talk shit about his ex? Rare find!!!

Then he slips his tongue in like the good Christian boy he is.

forgive me father for I have sinned

Meanwhile, Krystal is embracing her inner Cavill Ave by sharing a vodka cruiser with Frank after making him run around a sunflower garden naked.

we love preemptive revenge

Nicole and Jack jetski, talk about how much they like each other and then slip their tongues in both on dry land and in the sea.

we are so intrinsic rn bby

We finish off our dates portion of the episode by Ally finding out that The Hot One liked Nicole first and would like to still get to know her considering he’s known Ally a full three minutes.

But she was born with eye glitter!

Ally cries.

The elimination

The girls have taken to their directors chairs for their first FBoy Island elimination.

A bunch of people we hardly know are up for elimination, plus Frank, that foot fucker, The Hot One (!!!) and that Jake dude who you recognise from The Amazing Race. Sadly The Amazing Race dude already left (probably to go on another reality TV show).

enjoy Love Is Blind

Only the foot fucker and Jin leave. Jin is the one who told Nicole she was stunning. Sorry, that didn’t narrow it down, did it?

This is Jin

Jin and his slutty ankles are an Fboy but the dry foot fucker is a Nice Guy!

I’ll never dry root a foot again

One down, many to go. I’ll be writing FBoy Island Season 2 recaps the entire season so I’ll see you here next Monday but until then, you can follow me on Instagram.

Everything you need to know about FBoy Island Season 2

FBoy Island Australia is coming back for Season Two and finally we’ve got the deets we’ve been waiting for — a trailer, release date and even our leading ladies.

Keep reading for everything we know so far about FBOY Island Season Two, including a familiar face as part of the leading ladies, one hell of a packed trailer, where the show’s filmed and more.

Here’s everything we know about FBoy Island Australia 2024.

Is there an FBoy Island Season Two trailer?

Sure is! And let me tell you, FBoy Island Season Two looks like it will D-E-L-I-V-E-R. Do I spy Abbie Chatfield telling someone off? Do I spy a Bachie contestant (more on that below)? Keen!!!

The official trailer follows a few teases we’ve copped this month, including one where Abbie asks why Limbro is open.

(For the uninitiated, Limbro is where naughty FBOYs are sent to repent after they’re eliminated.)

Could Abbie asking “Who left it open?” mean that some of the FBoysfrom Season One are returning in Season Two? Could Vernon Lyon be back for another round?

You can watch it below.

Who is in the FBoy Island Season Two cast?

The FBoys and Nice Guys for Season Two have just been announced and they include some reality TV alumni! See the FBoy Island men, including one block from Bachelor In Paradise and one from Amazing Race Australia.

will be made up of just yet. There’s a decent taste of what we’re in for thanks to the trailer above, though. I don’t think they’re going to disappoint.

Who are FBoy Island Australia’s leading ladies?

Australia, meet Krystal Thomas, Ally Woodfall and Nicole Mitrov.

From left to right: Ally Woodfall, Krystal Thomas, Nicole Mitrov. Image: BINGE.

Krystal has experience navigating FBoys — you might remember her as a The Bachelors contestant where she dated Felix Van Hofe.

Nicole is a model and Ally is Vernon‘s ex.

Who will host FBOY Island Season Two?

Abbie will return as host of FBoy Island Australia after nailing the job for Season One.

fboy island season two abbie chatfield
Literally the best host choice for this show. Image: BINGE.

Not only has she been on a reality dating show before as runner-up for Matt Agnew‘s The Bachelor season, but she also knows when to call out people for being shitty.

In Abbie we trust.

What can we expect from FBOY Island Season Two?

Host Abbie explained that while fans can expect drama again this season, the sophomore season will be different from the first.

fboy island season two cast
FBOY Island Season Two’s leading ladies with host Abbie. Image: BINGE.

“This season is as drama-filled but in really different ways,” Chatfield told Daily Telegraph earlier this year.

“The stories along the way are way more complex and I think the three leading women did such an amazing job at supporting each other, really doing detective work and being steadfast.

“They had some hard conversations with each other along the way as well, which I think is what real friendship is all about.”

FBOY Island Season Two release date

The official FBOY Island Season Two release date is August 5, 2024. Pencil it in! It will air every Monday for nine weeks.

Which FBOY Island Season One couples are still together?

In Season One, Molly O’Halloran, Ziara Rae and Sophie Blackley attempted to navigate their way through the FBOYs and find true love.

FBOY Island leads and their final picks. Image: BINGE.

Molly and Ziara both snagged “nice guys” in Nick Brown and Izaya Leota respectively. And they’re still with their chosen picks!

Meanwhile, Sophie chose Joshy Allen, even though he was revealed to be an FBoy. They split up shortly after.

How to watch FBoy Island Australia

FBOY Island Australia streams exclusively on streaming service BINGE from August 5. You can watch everyone episode of Season One now.

Where is FBoy Island Australia filmed?

Sadly (or gladly?) there is no actual FBoy Island on Google Maps. FBoy Island Australia is filmed in a place called Casaurina which is 150km south to south east of Brisbane.

It’s a good day for The Boys fans because the show’s getting a spinoff

Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys is getting a prequel spinoff called Vought Rising which is great news for fans who were bummed about Season 5 ending.

The Boys spinoff was announced during a panel presentation at San Diego Comic-Con. Supernatural‘s Jensen Ackles (Soldier Boy) and Aya Cash (Stormfront) will feature in the new prequel series.

Here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming The Boys spinoff, Vought Rising.

What is The Boys spinoff Vought Rising about?

Vought Rising is “a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 1950s”, according to the official The Boys Instagram page.

“Vought Rising may or may not feature the very first Herogasm, founded in 1952,” the post added about The Boys spinoff.

For the uninitiated, Herogasm is a yearly festival where superheroes engage in a bunch of sexual activity. A selling point for the new spinoff if I ever did hear one!

Vought Rising will also follow “the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical manoeuvres of a ‘Supe’ known to fans as Stormfront, who was then going by the name Clara Vought”, according to executive producers Eric Kripke and Paul Grellong‘s statement (shared by news.com.au).

“We cannot wait to blow your minds and trouble your souls with this salacious, grisly saga drenched in blood and Compound V.”

This will be the third The Boys spinoff.

The Boys Season 5 will be the last

During the San Diego Comic-Con panel, it was also revealed that Jensen will play a major role in The Boys Season 5 and that a relationship between Soldier Boy and Homelander will be further explored.

The Boys Season 4 premiered in June 2024 and it was recently confirmed that Season 5 would be its last.

Just before the highly anticipated premiere of Season 4 in June, Eric Kripke (the mastermind behind the show), announced that Season 5 would be the final season.

“SEE YOU FOR OUR FINAL SEASON, MOTHERF***ERS!” the tweet read.

“From the very beginning, I wanted to wrap it out around season five,” Kripke told The Hollywood Reporter.

“And then I would say plans really solidified that we were going to actually do it years ago.

“It might have been because I was trained as a TV writer and there were five acts,” he added.

“It gives you enough time to get to know the characters… It’s about the characters and then you kick off into a climax.”

End of an era! At least now we have The Boys spinoff to look forward to, huh?

The Boys is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.

Harry Garside shares an important realisation following his Olympics elimination

Harry Garside has shared a heartfelt message on social media after missing out on the gold medal he was gunning for at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Overnight Australian time, Harry was eliminated in the first round of the men’s 63.5kg class. He won a bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games and had been hoping to score a gold in Paris.

In a post-match interview that personally broke my heart watching at home, Harry apologised to his home country and revealed that times ahead will be tough for him.

Harry Garside’s disappointment over his Paris 2024 Olympics outcome

“It is crazy… two decades dedicated to one dream and it is over just like that,” Harry told Nine.

“Australia is such a sporting nation and I’m so sorry. Honestly, I feel like a failure right now … I don’t even know what to say,” he added.

“Deep down inside I fear for what the next couple of months look like for myself. I’m sure there’ll be some dark times. I’ve just got to prepare for that now.”

Harry’s heartfelt realisation

Harry has taken to social media following his Olympics outcome to share how he’s feeling after some time to process and we’re glad to see him looking a bit more optimistic.

Sharing that he’s been “beating himself up for a couple of hours” over the events before coming to a “realisation”.

“I had this realisation that I wanted a two-decade journey to try and get that gold medal. And yes, I didn’t get that gold medal but I became my own friend in that journey,” Harry reflected.

Harry continued to explain that his self-worth was low at the beginning of the journey and now he feels like he has the relationship with himself to manage his inner-critic.

“Over the last three years, I really worked hard and trying to build my self-worth and trying to grow and evolve and be kind to myself more often. In that, I don’t get success, but I’d rather be my friend and have no success.”

Harry then got emotional as he went on to share his hopes of becoming a dad one day.

“Being a dad and not passing on negative things to my kids is really important to me. So I’m really happy that the two-decade journey wasn’t for nothing,” Harry finished.

Absolutely sensational human that the whole of Australia is cheering on right now, gold medal or not.

You can watch the Paris 2024 Olympics on 9 and 9Now. Harry Garside also appeared on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2023 which you can watch on 10Play.

Neighbours costars honour Janet Andrewartha following the news of her death

Australian actor Janet Andrewartha — known fondly as Lyn Scully on soap Neighbours — has died. She was 72.

Neighbours announced the passing of Janet on their social media channels, sharing that the cast and crew of the television show are “deeply saddened”.

According to Herald Sun, Janet died peacefully on Friday with her daughters, Sarah and Eloise, by her side.

Janet also played Reb Keane in Prisoner: Cell Block H, and more recently appeared in Safe Home on SBS and the Logie-nominated Paramount+ drama Fake starring Asher Keddie.

Neighbours costars share tributes for Janet Andrewartha

In the social media post announcing Janet’s passing, Neighbours cast member Jackie Woodburne (who plays Susan Kennedy) remembered Janet as “an extraordinary woman” who she will miss.

“Janet was one of the finest actors of her generation, but more than that, she was an extraordinary woman,” Jackie said in the Neighbours post.

“Passionate, political, curious, delightfully eccentric, generous and fun. To me she was a steadfast friend for over 45 years. I will miss her every day.”

Stefan Dennis (who plays Paul Robinson) commented on the post to echo Jackie’s words.

“So very upset to lose the lovely Janet,” Stefan wrote. “As Jackie said, she truly was an exceptional actress who was a pleasure work with and to be around. We will all miss you dear girl.”

Lucinda Cowden (who plays Melanie Pearson), remembered Janet’s impact in her role as Reb Keane in Prisoner: Cell Block H.

“I remember when I first saw her on Prisoner … she lit up the screen, and continued to grace us with her exceptional talent in so many interesting and unique characters,” Lucinda wrote. “Vale Janet.”

Holly Vallance (who played Felicity Scully, the daughter of Lyn) shared her heartbreak on X (formerly known as Twitter).

“She was a superb human being who taught me so much from the age of 15. I’ll treasure her last trip to the UK forever,” Holly wrote.

The pair caught up late last year.

“Precious memories I’m so grateful for. A beautiful, talented, hilarious & kind woman.

“I’m so glad it was you who played my Mum. You were the real deal. Made us feel safe. And looked after us when we were all so young in the industry. It was an honour to work beside you and call you a friend.”

Carla Bonner (who played Steph Scully, Lyn’s daughter) shared an image of a candle overnight to her Instagram Stories saying, “I will miss you forever.”

Ada Nicodemou confirms her “lovely” relationship with costar James Stewart

Ada Nicodemou has officially confirmed that she is dating her Home and Away costar James Stewart and we couldn’t be happier for the pair.

“Jimmy and I are together, yes,” Ada said in an interview with Stellar magazine that was published over the weekend.

“At 47, you know what you want and what you don’t. It’s only early days,” Ada continued.

“It’s very recent and very unexpected. I’m super happy. It’s really lovely.”

This is huge news for Home and Away fans as the rumours of the pair’s romance first started swirling in May after photos of Ada and James kissing emerged.

It was following the April announcement of Ada’s split from Adam Rigby. Ada and Adam were together for eight years.

James, 48, finalised his divorce from former Home And Away star Sarah Roberts in March. The pair were together for five years.

Were Ada and James together while shooting their wedding scene?

Ada and James play husband and wife on Home and Away as their characters Leah Patterson and Justin Morgan. In fact, the pair filmed wedding scenes for the soap last year and the episode itself aired in April.

Prior to Ada’s confirmation of their relationship, The Sunday Telegraph reported that she was spotted kissing James at a Seven Network Christmas party last year.

That being said, Ada shut down any rumours that she was involved with James during shooting.

“There weren’t genuine feelings then,” Ada explained.

The couple’s characters got married earlier this year. Image: Seven.

“It was shot last year. But I think whenever you’re watching any TV couple, you’re always wondering if they really do have feelings.

“We’ve always respected each other. We’ve known each other since [1998 soap opera] Breakers. Jimmy is an amazing actor,” she added.

“I’ve loved working with him for five years and I think our scenes are great. I always like going to work — we push ourselves, and push each other, in a really good way.”

As someone who’s watched Ada’s character, Leah, lose Vinnie (Ryan Kwanten) all those years ago, I’m happy for her. And for Ada too!

MAFS’ Eden says Jayden lying about *that* confession still “baffles” her to this day

Remember when Jayden Eynaud told Eden Harper during Married At First Sight’s confessions week that he slept with his ex’s best friend while she watched? It was truly shocking television in every sense of the word.

The shock quickly turned to confusion when a woman claiming to be Jayden’s ex-girlfriend told PEDESTRIAN.TV that his confession was a lie, though. Why — WHY — would you lie about something like… that?

It’s something that still baffles Jayden’s TV bride Eden, who admitted to Chattr that she found out it was a lie “during MAFS airing” like everyone else.

That’s a lot of months to be kept in the dark. Keep reading to see what Eden had to say about Jayden’s confession lie.

Jayden told Eden he slept with his ex’s best friend after finding out she cheated on him. Image: Nine.

How did Eden feel when Jayden told her that confession?

Even though it seemed like Jayden’s confession was quickly forgotten about by viewers, Eden revealed that the whole thing really changed things for the relationship.

“When I first experienced the confession letter in real life, I had only known Jayden a few weeks,” Eden told Chattr.

“It was hard at the time as I really liked him. Prior to finding out I trusted him 100 per cent and but that trust was completely shattered,” she continued.

“It made me question and overthink everything he ever said from that day on.

“So as much as I did make the choice to forgive him, the trust was subconsciously broken and I wouldn’t have been the best version of myself in the relationship from then on.”

How did Eden feel watching Australia’s reaction to Jayden’s confession?

Eden says that having to watch the confession on television was difficult, especially because of how much their relationship had grown outside the experiment in that time.

“Reliving the story all over again when it aired was really hard for me as by that point I’d been with the guy for seven-to-eight months and was completely in love.

“It was tough seeing everyone’s opinions and they way people spoke about him online.”

Eden was upset when she found out Jayden’s MAFS confession. Image: Nine.

How did Eden find out Jayden’s confession was a lie?

While Australia found out about the lie within 24 hours of the episode airing, Eden thought it was true for months — up until Jayden himself admitted it was false.

“The day after it aired, his ex-girlfriend had come out and claimed the story was false,” Eden recalled.

“After that, he did admit to me that it didn’t happen.

“It made me really angry to be honest — angry at him for putting me through that and putting his ex through that and for sharing it on national television.

“It honestly made me so angry that if I wanted to be with him, I really had to choose to forgive him for it and never bring it up again, which is the choice I made.”

Eden and Jayden announced their breakup in April 2024. Image: Nine.

She’s a stronger woman than me! Jayden and Eden announced their break up just after MAFS 2024 stopped airing.

As for why Jayden would make up a story that doesn’t necessarily make him look great of national (and later international) television, Eden hinted she’d probably never know.

“It baffles me to this day why anyone would make that up,” she explained to Chattr.

“I couldn’t get a straight answer from him as to why, just lots of different reasons and blaming other people which didn’t make any sense.”

Jayden was accused of lying during home visits week as well.

It’s situations like this that make me want to study the human mind.

House of the Dragon fans are wigging out over this incest scene

House of the Dragon has once again shocked its viewers with confronting footage and this time it’s kept it in the family with an incest scene. Yes, you read that right.

Although it’s a storyline we’ve seen before in the Game of Thrones universe and George R.R Martin‘s work in general, viewers of the hit show have some thoughts about the latest House of the Dragon incest scene where a character imagined having sex with his mother.

While it’s almost expected from the same show that shocked viewers with a confronting blowjob scene earlier this month, I can understand the confused reaction from the general public when it comes to the House of the Dragon incest scene in question.

Whether you’re a regular viewer of House of the Dragon or not, one thing’s for sure: this scene is so uncomfortable to watch (which you can do below at your own risk):

What happens in the incest scene with Daemon’s mother?

The footage shows Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) having a very sensual dream about his mother, Alyssa Targaryen (Emeline Lambert).

“Daemon, you were always the strong one. The finest swordsman. The fearless dragon rider,” Alyssa tells her son as he… goes down on her.

house of the dragon incest scene daemon mother
Keep your head where I can see it! Image: House of the Dragon.

At one point, she says, “If only you’d been born first, my favourite son.”

This was the first appearance viewers have seen of Daemon’s mother as she passed away during childbirth complications.

For the uninitiated, Daemon is also married to his own niece Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy). In this House of the Dragon episode, the visions he has of his mother are sent by witch Alys Rivers (Gayle Rankin) to wig him out.

One person questioned the point of the scene including Daemon’s mother, labelling it as “so cringe, disgusting and absolutely unnecessary” on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Daemon snap out of it! Eating thy mother’s box was not on my bingo card for this episode,” another wrote.

Heavens to Betsy.

If you want to see what went down for yourself (no judgement), then you can stream The House of Dragon on BINGE.

Shannen Doherty’s publicist confirmed the news

“It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the passing of actress Shannen Doherty,” Shannen’s longtime publicist, Leslie Sloane, confirmed in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE.

“On Saturday, July 13, she lost her battle with cancer after many years of fighting the disease.

“The devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend was surrounded by her loved ones as well as her dog, Bowie.

“The family asks for their privacy at this time so they can grieve in peace,” the statement continued.

Costars mourn Shannen Doherty’s death

Shannen’s costars and friends have been taking to social media to grieve following the news of her death.

Rose McGowan, who starred in Charmed following Shannen’s departure from the hit show, remembered her friend as a “soft-hearted badass” with the “heart of a lion”.

You can read the full tribute below.

Jennie Garth starred in Beverly Hills, 90210 with Shannen, both in the original version of the series and the 90210 reboot which started airing in 2008.

“I am still processing my tremendous grief over the loss of my long-time friend Shannen, the woman I have often described as one of the strongest people I have ever known,” Jennie wrote alongside photos of the pair from their early Beverly Hills, 90210 days.

Shenae Grimes-Beech, who played Annie Wilson in the 90210 reboot alongside Shannen, shared her tribute on Instagram Reels.

“To the icon, the legend, the take-no-sh!t WARRIOR of a woman, Shannen Doherty… thank you for inspiring me in more ways than I can bring myself to put into words right now,” Shenae wrote alongside a video she posted to Instagram.

“You paved the way and it was an absolute privilege and honour to follow in your footsteps.”

Tori Spelling wrote “I don’t have outward words yet… but we KNEW and that’s what matters” to her Instagram Stories alongside a selfie of her and Shannen.

Shannen Doherty cause of death

Shannen was diagnosed with breast cancer almost a decade ago. She confirmed the news in August 2015 when she was aged 44.

“Yes, I have breast cancer, and I am currently undergoing treatment,” the actress said in a statement to PEOPLE at the time.

Two years later Shannen went into remission but announced in 2020 that the cancer had returned as Stage 4. It was made public in court documents that her cancer was terminal, as reported by TODAY.

Shannen underwent brain surgery in 2023 following the cancer metastasising to her bones and brain.

Shannen had been open and honest about her condition in her ‘Let’s Be Clear’ podcast, sharing that earlier treatment protocols were no longer working.

Our thoughts are with Shannen’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.

One social media post has caused uproar between the MAFS cast

The Married At First Sight 2024 drama is still in full force with Sara Mesa and Lauren Dunn calling out MAFS groom Tim Calwell for his latest Instagram Reel.

But now the rest of the MAFS cast have gotten involved, as they do, and the word ‘drama’ just doesn’t cut it.

Keep reading to catch up on everything from start to finish.

What did Tim post on Instagram?

Tim shared a video to his 111,000 Instagram followers which featured Tim doing activities with his new girlfriend, Barbara Griebeler, attending a few appointments and showing a car with a sign reading, “WARNING! 100% BITCH”.

“This car reminds me of someone,” Tim’s voiceover said.

Sara, who was fake-married to Tim during the experiment, took to Instagram Stories to express her frustration.

What Sara said about Tim’s reel

“If my partner put a video of us doing cute things together on the internet for the world to see and then subliminally took a dig at his ex-girlfriend, I would be livid. Livid,” Sara said in her Instagram Stories.

sara mesa mafs tim calwell
Sara took to Instagram Stories to air her thoughts about Tim’s reel. Image: @saramessy

“I hope that she’s still okay that you mentioned me in there, regardless of whether it’s calling me ‘100% Bitch’. Don’t you think that it’s time to move on and give her that respect as well?” Sara asked.

Sara also suggested that there was a side of Tim not shown on MAFS Season 11.

“That reel that you made including me is giving insecure and that is the man that you showed to me the whole time on the show. And I really wish that people could have seen that side.”

What Lauren had to say about Tim’s reel

Sara’s MAFS bestie, Lauren, also entered the chat in her own Q&A on Instagram Stories.

lauren dunn mafs 2024
Lauren entered the chat to call Tim out for using the word “Bitch”. Source: @lauren_funn_

“Do these men not get it? We just don’t call women bitches in 2024,” Lauren said.

“The men in our season, they just weren’t it. They just don’t understand society and what’s acceptable and what’s not acceptable,” she continued.

“Just a lack of intelligence and I can’t argue with stupid people.”

Lauren also noted that she was sent the video because she doesn’t follow Tim.

What Tim had to say about his reel

Speaking to Yahoo Lifestyle!, Tim said that he didn’t mention anyone specifically.

“I didn’t actually mention anyone at all! It seems like everyone is projecting their own thoughts onto my reel,” he told Yahoo Lifestyle!

“I like talking about my life experiences, regardless of if that chapter in my life is closed. MAFS is certainly a unique experience and I’ll likely keep sharing mine.”

What the MAFS cast are saying about the post

When the account @sodramaticpodcast_ posted Sara’s Instagram Story on their own page, fellow MAFS 2024 cast member Eden Harper entered the chat.

tim calwell instagram reel mafs

“So Sara can call Cass [Allen] a c****, Lauren call Jono [McCullough] a snake, dog, c*** (to name a few),” Eden wrote in the comments section.

“But that’s funny and lighthearted… It’s only unacceptable and wrong when Tim does it? The double standards are laughable.”

MAFS intruder Michael Felix added, “Louder for the people in the back” and Jono wrote, “Double standard queens.”

When asked by Chattr what her thoughts are about Sara and Lauren calling out Tim’s behaviour, she made it clear that what Tim said was “inappropriate”.

“I don’t think there was any malicious intent from Tim, but it’s definitely important for him to understand that using that kind of language is inappropriate and can be really damaging,” Eden told Chattr.

“However, I also believe that Lauren and Sara need to take some accountability for the name calling, insults, and bullying behaviour that they constantly demonstrate themselves.”

What do Lauren and Sara think about their cast’s comments?

In response to the “double standards” claims of her cast mates, Sara argued that “two wrongs don’t make a right”.

“Just because I did wrong doesn’t mean that Tim gets a hall pass for alluding to calling me a bitch,” Sara told Chattr.

“I apologised to Cassandra,” Sara added, in response to calling her the C word.

“That is the only time I use vulgar language to someone. And I would never do that publicly on the internet for the world to see.”

Lauren responded to the comments from her MAFS cast mates in a follow-up video on Instagram.

“I was the queen of the insult. I understand that. The purpose of what we’re talking about is men with a platform perpetuating language that is violent to women.”

MAFS continue to deliver lessons in what’s acceptable even without them all on our screens, no John Aiken required.

Will Ferrell was “so embarrassed” by his real name growing up

As with many celebrities you see and hear about, Will Ferrell is not actually the Stepbrothers actor’s real name.

In fact, Ferrell rarely gets addressed by his real name and would get “so embarrassed” if it was ever brought up.

In celebration of Anchorman‘s 20th anniversary, Ferrel joined his costar Christina Applegate and Jamie-Lynn Sigler (Big Sky) on their MeSsy podcast, where he discussed his legal name.

will ferrell real name
“It wasn’t my choice,” Will said on his legal name. Image: FOX Searchlight

What is Will Ferrell’s real name?

Ferrell’s legal name is John William Ferrell.

Discussing his youth with Applegate, Ferrell mentioned that he was able to make friends easily thanks to “being funny”.

However, he mentioned that the start of every school year could be quite embarrassing for him thanks to his real name rearing its head.

“This is a minor thing in terms of — it’s not really even trauma — but I remember feeling so embarrassed because my real name is John, John William Ferrell, so first day of school, I’d be John,” Ferrel recalled on the podcast.

“The teacher would be like ‘John Ferrell?’ and it was so embarrassing to me to have to say ‘Here, but I go by Will, I don’t go by John.’ “

Does Ferrell ever use his real first name?

Ferrell noted it took a while for his teachers to remember that he actually went by Will and not John, which was “excruciating”.

He also explained that kids at school would ask about his name after hearing him correct the teachers.

“I don’t know why that was so embarrassing to me to have to explain ‘I’m actually Will’,” he said.

“My parents named [me] John but they called me Will. I grew up as Will, but on a rule sheet, my legal name is John Ferrell.”

Ferrell told Applegate that he doesn’t like his legal name because it wasn’t his “choice”.

To be fair, I know a few people who’ve gone by their middle name their whole lives.

If you’re keen to love some lamp after reading this, you can watch Anchorman on Stan.

This podcast host reckons Eric Stonestreet is the worst guest she’s ever had

If you think that Cam from Modern FamilyEric Stonestreet — is likely the loveliest person in the world, podcast host Taylor Strecker‘s firsthand opinion of the actor is here to shake things up.

During an episode of Amazon Live’s In Bed With Paige DeSorbo (if you don’t listen to her Giggly Squad podcast with Hannah Berner, you should), Strecker did not hold back on her experience with the Modern Family star.

eric stonestreet modern family
Well, this should be interesting! Image: Modern Family

“Who’s the worst guest you’ve ever had on your podcast?” DeSorbo asked Strecker, who is the host of the Taste of Taylor podcast.

Unfazed, Strecker dropped Stonestreet’s name like the hot tea it is.

“He’s [Cameron Tucker] from Modern Family, and he’s like the chubby, jolly, sweet, funny one,” Strecker clarified when DeSorbo didn’t recognise the name.

“Could he be anything but… nasty!”

Strecker explained she quickly learned he was on her podcast to promote none other than Pepto-Bismol.

For the uninitiated, Pepto-Bismol is an anti-diarrhoea medication that’s a staple in American households but not available in Australia.

“I didn’t know!” Strecker explained.

Why was Eric Stonestreet her “worst” guest?

“So we’re chatting away, and I’m being my adorable self, and then he hits me with, ‘So when are we gonna talk about Pepto-Bismol?’”

Trying to roll with it, Strecker joked, “I have hemorrhoids. I’m the queen of diarrhea. I love Pepto-Bismol! We can talk about whatever you want.”

That was when she explained that things got a little sassy, if you will.

“And he said to me — and I quote — ‘Somebody didn’t do their homework.,” Strecker recalled.

As someone who interviews people in media regularly, that’s a pretty rough thing to hear.

“I said, ‘I’m sorry. Am I getting paid by Pepto-Bismol? No. So that’s your job to figure out, not mine.”

You know when people are relaying a story and it’s unclear if they actually said that thing or just thought it in response? I really hope she said that to him for the popcorn value alone.

It’s understood that the podcast appearance was likely around the time of his 2011 partnership with Pepto-Bismol for a Feeding America campaign.

I’d love to know the thoughts of whoever was the Pepto-Bismol publicist at the time. You know what they say? There are 17 sides to every story.

Modern Family streams on Disney+ if you want to watch it back with fresh eyes. Nab a subscription here.

Chelsea Handler roasts Sam Taunton over Margot Robbie pregnancy joke

Esteemed US comedian Chelsea Handler told The Project host Sam Taunton exactly how she felt about the Margot Robbie pregnancy joke he made and it wasn’t pretty.

Rumours quickly spread yesterday that Robbie and her partner, Tom Ackerley, were expecting their first child after paparazzi shots of the actress sporting an exposed stomach surfaced.

As Australia’s golden girl, it’s no surprise that Robbie’s reported pregnancy with Ackerley was a topic of conversation on the entertainment news program, The Project.

What was the Margot Robbie pregnancy joke?

“I’ve seen the Barbie movie by the way,” Taunton said. “It’s going to have to be a C-section.”

The joke didn’t immediately land with his cohosts, who started asking what he meant.

“About her in the Barbie movie?” he continued.

“What do you mean?” cohost Georgie Tunny asked.

“She doesn’t have a… [vagina],” Taunton finished.

What did Chelsea Handler say to Sam Taunton?

Later in The Project episode, which aired Monday, June 8, Handler joined the desk to promote her upcoming comedy tour titled ‘Little Big Bitch’.

“Before you get started, I want to touch on your Barbie joke,” Handler told Taunton.

“How can you even make a joke like that when you know a comedian is coming on the show? That’s humiliating for both of us,” she roasted him.

“It was a really bad joke. I felt so bad for you.”

Obviously aware of the cringe-worthy joke, Taunton told Handler that he was hoping it would never be brought up again.

“I had to,” Handler replied.

Sarah Harris and Tunny looked visibly uncomfortable as the exchange was happening, but also like they were low-key loving it. Who doesn’t love a good roast of their mate?

While it was definitely a case of two comedians joking with one another, it’s got to hurt to be schooled by someone so iconic on national television!

Handler’s tour kicks off in Melbourne Tuesday, July 9, and will also stop in Brisbane and Sydney. Buy tickets here.

We can officially confirm when the MasterChef Australia 2024 finale will air

MasterChef Australia 2024 has been a j-o-u-r-n-e-y, and now that we’re finally at the tail end of the season, we can confirm when the finale will air.

Throughout the season we’ve had impressive celebrity appearances, like Jamie Oliver and Curtis Stone, as well as some seriously drool-worthy dishes.

While this season’s been nothing short of spectacular, like all good things, it must come to an end.

Will Nat be in the MasterChef Australia finale

When is the MasterChef Australia 2024 finale on?

With just five contestants remaining, next week will see the competition enter Finals Week.

As per usual, the remaining Home Cooks will be whittled down until just three two are left to battle it out in the season’s final episode.

Channel 10 has confirmed to Chattr that this season’s MasterChef Australia finale will air on Tuesday, 16 July.

Who’s still in the competition?

At the time of writing, five contestants are still in the running for the MasterChef Australia 2024 finale.

Nat, Mimi, Josh ‘Pezza’ Perry, Harry and Sav will all take part in Finals Week in the hope of taking out the competition.

Harry on MasterChef

What is the MasterChef Australia 2024 prize?

The last standing contestant will, of course, receive bragging rights, as well as a whopping $250,000 cash prize. They’ll also (probably) gain a blue tick on Instagram. Winning!

What will happen during the MasterChef Australia Finals Week?

The episode that airs on Sunday July 7, will see one of the remaining five contestants eliminated. They will face off with some of the world’s most extreme ingredients and must select one ingredient to tame.

On Monday, the top four will tackle their final mystery box of the season. Under each mystery box is a golden ticket, and the winner of the challenge will be the first home cook to secure their place in the MasterChef Australia semi-final.

In the final challenge of the week on Tuesday, fish king Josh Niland will set a three-hour pressure test that will push everyone to their limits. Which seafood aficionado Harry will probably be excited about (if he makes it past Sunday’s elim ep).

The MasterChef Australia 2024 Finale will air on Tuesday, 16 July on Channel 10 and 10Play at 7:30pm.

Baby Reindeer almost cast this well-known name as Martha

Jessica Gunning wowed audiences around the world with her groundbreaking portrayal of Martha in the Netflix sensation Baby Reindeer.

However, news has just surfaced that there was another name in the mix for the role and I’m not sure how to feel about it.

According to a report by Variety, a source has claimed that agents for creator Richard Gadd (who also wrote and starred in Baby Reindeer as himself) “pushed aggressively” for Melissa McCarthy to play the leading role of Martha.

Can you imagine?

McCarthy reportedly wasn’t interested in the role

While McCarthy is known for her comedic roles such as her ones in Bridesmaids, The Heat and more, she has also shown her depth and more serious side in other roles such as Can You Ever Forgive Me? in 2018.

“A knowledgeable source says McCarthy met Gadd about the role but ultimately wasn’t interested,” the Variety report said.

“Those familiar with the production say Gadd micromanaged casting and fired his CAA agents after they and Netflix pushed aggressively for Melissa McCarthy to be cast as Martha.”

I don’t doubt that McCarthy would’ve been phenomenal in the role of Martha just like she nails every other character she’s portrayed, but Gunning’s casting was so perfect it’s hard to imagine the shoes being filled by anyone else.

Honestly, the way she brought so many layers to such a complex character was incredible.

About Baby Reindeer

Baby Reindeer has been met with high acclaim since the seven-episode series premiered on Netflix in April 2024.

Fiona Harvey (the woman claiming to be the real-life Martha) has since accused Gadd of lying in a tell-all interview with Piers Morgan.

Harvey has filed a $255 million lawsuit against Netflix, suing for defamation, negligence, intentional infliction of emotional distress and more.

You can stream every episode of Baby Reindeer on Netflix (if you haven’t already).

House of the Dragon fans shocked by blowjob scene

You know what they say: oral sex sells. OK, maybe that’s not quite it, but the gobby scene in the latest episode of House of the Dragon sure is getting people talking about the hit show.

The Game of Thrones spinoff has shocked viewers of Season 2, Episode 3 thanks to a massive penis (or schlong, wang, meat slapper for the more fun among you) alongside a spot of confronting blowjob activity.

It happened around halfway through the episode, which I know not from watching (it’s on my list) but because of how wild the internet’s going over it.

So how does a bit of head happen mid-episode, you ask? Well, King Aegon II Targaryen (Tom Glynn-Carney) treated his soldiers to a cheeky night out at a brothel — as you do — following many drinks.

When they rock up to said brothel, King Aegon opens a set of curtains to reveal a bunch of people getting jiggy with it.

The first curtain? A rather large penis. In a mouth. In front of all of our salads.

In case you were wondering: it’s been widely reported that the penis in question was a prosthetic one.

More explicit sex acts were revealed as he continued pulling back curtains, but nothing quite slapped viewers in the face like that first scenario.

The Game of Thrones universe is not a stranger to nudity and sex scenes. In the same episode, there is a full-frontal nude scene of Prince Aemond Targaryen (played by Ewan Mitchell).

Regardless, nothing prepared The House of the Dragon community for what they saw in Season 2, Episode 3.

“Was not expecting an explicit blowjob then Aemond full frontal in the span of 2 minutes,” a Redditor wrote.

If you want to see what went down for yourself (no judgement), then you can stream The House of Dragon on BINGE.

Could Home and Away OG Kate Ritchie save Summer Bay with her rumoured return?

There’s some strong intel that Home and Away‘s golden girl — none other than OG Kate Ritchie — could be returning to Summer Bay. And you know what? I think it’s what the show needs.

Kate Richie played Sally Fletcher on the Australian soap from 1988 until 2008 and her character absolutely went through it throughout her 20-year stint.

Her storylines included (but were not limited to) a dead husband, a long-lost brother and an imaginary friend. What a trooper!

Sally was an icon in Summer Bay and our television screens alike. There’s no doubt about it. And in my humble opinion, Home and Away has lost the plot in the years since she left the show.

That’s why I’m absolutely rooting for all these rumours about her returning to be true. But will it be enough, or is the show too far gone?

Will Kate Richie return to Home and Away?

Last year, Richie told her radio co-hosts on the Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald and Michael “Wippa” Wipfli that she’d definitely be back for a final episode of the show — not unlike Kylie Minogue returning from the final episode of Neighbours (or what we thought was the final episode).

“If Ray Meagher (Alf Stewart) asked me to come back, to change the sheets in the Caravan Park, I’d be there,” Richie told her cohosts in 2023.

More recently, the radio trio have been doubling down on her potential return, even claiming to have seen proof.

Last month Wippa asked Richie if she had caught up the the cast and crew from Home and Away, which she confirmed.

“I know you’re going back to the bay,” Wippa pushed. “I’ve seen your emails as I sit next to you in the office.”

“No you don’t, you have bad eyes,” Richie laughed back.

Wippa went on to say that he wanted to get “Home & Away fans warmed up” by “rolling out a couple of scenes here at Nova”. As he delved further into his plans, Kate asked:

“What is the point of this? Why are you trying to make me look silly, and you’re actually trying to blow an exclusive.”

Home and Away is “unrecognisable”

The rumours of Ritchie’s Home and Away return come after Meagher told TV Tonight that the longtime soap has lost its way.

When Ritchie started on the show, Home and Away was about a seaside community with the Fletcher family taking in foster children.

In recent times, however, the show became more focused on harder-hitting storylines, like crime, since the infamous “River Boys” (Lincoln Younes, Steve Peacocke and Dan Ewing) of 2011.

“I mean, that was just a great period. But was it Summer Bay? Hmmm …. in my humble opinion, not to that extent.”

But can any one person actually save Summer Bay?

While it seems like a return from Richie could help to get Home and Away bring back some lost viewers, there’d need to be more than just her reprised character to save the soap.

We’ve seen the return of other Home and Away OGs before like Roo Stewart (Georgie Parker) and Marilyn Chambers (Emily Symons), however, the show’s storylines and character mix were still different to its heyday.

Take Summer Bay High, for example. Not having the high school (we haven’t seen it since 2019) gaping hole in the current Home and Away format.

When a photo of ex-Summer Bay High students Casey Braxton (Younes), Sasha Bezmel (Demi Harman), Spencer Harrington (Andrew Morley) and Maddy Osborne (Kassandra Clementi) was posted to a popular Facebook group, fans were quick to get nostalgic.

“I wish they would use the school scenes again,” one fan wrote.

“I loved that it USED [to] encompass most age groups, if I am entirely honest I no longer get sad if I miss a[n] episode or two, or seven,” wrote another.

“Bring back those days. The present storylines are ridiculous.”

Perhaps if Sally comes back and resumes her role as a teacher, and they bring back a whole bunch of teenagers that Australia’s youth can relate to, then Home and Away might be in with a fighting chance?

If they could bring back Kim Hyde (Chris Hemsworth) while they’re at it, that’d be great.

“I can overcome obstacles and keep pushing forward”: Lochy on his time in the Masterchef kitchen

Last night, fan favourite Lachlan “Lochy” Whittle‘s time in the MasterChef kitchen came to a devastating end after he lost the time auction elimination challenge to fellow contestant (and bestie), Harry Butterfield.

“I’m just really proud of the food that I was able to put up,” Whittle reflects, speaking with Chattr.

“To not have the apparatus of what I’m so used to and what I’m actually really good at, to be able to get as deep in the competition as I did. I am extremely proud of that moment.”

Whittle describes the solace he finds in cooking and the release it gives him; something he looks forward to after work, even on the “bad days.”

“[You] just put on an album and cook something delicious and just groove to some music, and everything’s going to be all right again,” he says.

Whittle’s story has touched the hearts of many a MasterChef viewer after the heartbreaking reveal that his mother, Jan, passed away from Huntington’s Disease just days before filming.

The news came out during the Mum Cook challenge episode, along with another poignant revelation: that Whittle has since discovered he has inherited the degenerative brain condition.

Despite not having a conventional upbringing, he recalls, one where disease was an uncannily familiar character, but “always a difficult thing,” Whittle thanks his mum for giving him the power in that cook “to be able to push through, and realise that no matter what there is, I can overcome obstacles and keep pushing forward.”

He remembers that challenging day on the Masterchef floor, “the crew and the other contestants and even the judges knew what I was going through, and the support that I had on that day was phenomenal.”

Thinking about some of his favourite moments from the show, Whittle is grateful for the close friendship he struck up with kitchen mate, Harry Butterfield.

“It means the world to be able to be able to come into the competition and be able to click with somebody like Harry from day one,” he says.

“To have that kind of support system, that we would do so much together on our mornings to help get into the zone. Going into the kitchen and cooking every day, and then being able to come back and debrief with each other, cook for each other, and just talk about food and support each other’s ideas… it just made it so, so great.”

The ultimate Masterchef ‘bromance’ – can we please make ‘Hochy’ a thing?

He also fondly calls to mind “a really cool moment” that happened with esteemed Vietnamese-Australian chef and restaurateur, Luke Nguyen. It was particularly significant to him, given it was Nguyen who first made Whittle “fall in love” with Vietnamese cuisine.

“I actually travelled to Vietnam because of falling in love with him and his show and how he talks about food,” says Whitall.

“In my first cook in that elimination, I tried to really ‘MasterChef’ something on a traditional Vietnamese dish, and just didn’t pull it off.”

Despite the dish, short rib Bo La Lot, being what he estimates to be around 15 minutes away from what he envisioned, Whittle describes “the little message that Luke wrote to me in my Luke Nguyen Vietnam cookbook, which was absolutely beautiful, that made me feel so good about where my head was at.”

Lochy in the kitchen with Luke Nguyen – Instagram @lochycooks

“Don’t be surprised if you see that coming up in one of my restaurants, because I thought that was a fabulous idea,” wrote Nguyen.

The chef also gave a cheeky “Ps.” that he would be nabbing the wing bean and green mango pickle recipe Whittle used in his subsequent ghee-seared kingfish cook.

“I pride myself on Vietnamese cooking, and I tried to do a lot in that cook to really impress him. I may have bitten off more than I could chew, especially for a dish I hadn’t tested or done before,” Whittle admits.

“But to have that message after not being eliminated come down right in front of me really made me feel special about that.”

This is how much Harry Jowsey can make on a single Instagram Post

If Harry Jowsey‘s actions on the latest season of Netflix’s Perfect Match didn’t shock you then the serious coin he can make on Instagram sure will.

The 27-year-old Australian reality TV star — who shot to fame on Netflix’s Too Hot Too Handle debut season in 2020 — has an impressive 4.4 million followers on Instagram alone.

That’s a lot of potential influence and reach, something that is reflected in his estimated earnings on the platform.

As reported by PEDESTRIAN.TV, talent agency Hunter Talent has shared that Jowsey could charge just over $20,000 per post on the platform. Meanwhile, all a selfie costs me is my dignity.

Hear me out but I reckon I could also make $20K a post if I looked like this. And went on reality TV. Four times. (Image: @harryjowsey.)

In addition to his Instagram followers, Jowsey also has a podcast and YouTube channel to further attract brands into working with him.

Jowsey placed 28 in MediaWeek’s Social Media Influence 100 list in 2023.

He is also consistently re-entering the spotlight, following his reality TV debut in the midst of a global lockdown with stints on Dancing With The Stars, The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity Edition and most recently the second season of Perfect Match.

Considering the cheeky possum knows how to cause a stir on screen, it’s safe to assume that each stint brings some increased engagement to Jowsey’s platforms.

In the latest season of Perfect Match, Jowsey was caught lying to his match on the show about kissing another contestant.

Is the pope catholic? (Image: Netflix.)

In the past, he was televised proposing to Francesca Farago following their rollercoaster romance on Too Hot To Handle.

The bloke does some questionable shit but boy does he know how to make good television. And with an estimated $20,000 price tag, I’m assuming he can do the same thing for Instagram ads.

The real reason McSteamy left Grey’s Anatomy won’t help you sleep at night

There are a lot of things I’m still forgiving Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes for (like that musical episode — why?) but the departure of Mark Sloan (Eric Dane) from the Seattle Grace roster is pretty high on that list.

Today Dane — the man who played McStreamy before he rudely McLeft us — has helped us inch closer to closure by clarifying why he was savagely booted from the wildly successful television drama.

Not mad, just disappointed. (Image: Grey’s Anatomy.)

(Side note: I’m going to assume if you’re here you know what happened to Dane’s character in Grey’s Anatomy Season 9 but, on the off chance you don’t, I should let you know that this article will include spoilers.)

In a new podcast episode of Dax Shepard‘s Armchair Expert, Dane opened up about his struggles with drugs and alcohol, however, clarified that it wasn’t the reason he left Grey’s Anatomy.

In fact, he basically says he didn’t leave at all — at least not on his own accord.

“I didn’t leave so much as I think I was let go,” Dane explained.

“I was struggling. They didn’t let me go because of that, although it definitely didn’t help”.

The 51-year-old went on to say that he was let go after his six-year stint on the medical drama due to his pay-check.

“I was starting to become – as most of these actors who have spent significant time on the show – you start to become very expensive for the network,” Dane told Shepard.

“And the network knows that the show is going to do what it’s going to do irrespective of who they keep on it – as long as they have their [Meredith] Grey they were fine.”

To refresh your memory, Dane was killed off following a fatal plane accident.

It was extra hard pill to swallow considering we had lost Lexie Grey (Chyler Leigh) — another main character and McSteamy’s longtime love interest — just a few episodes prior.

It’s still one of the most talked about storylines of the show’s 20-season strong run on air.

The deaths of the pair were so impactful that Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital was renamed the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital in tribute.

Dane joined Grey’s Anatomy in Season Two which aired back in 2006.

“I wasn’t the same guy they had hired. So I had understood when I was let go,” Dane explained on the podcast.

“And Shonda was really great,” Dane clarified of the mastermind behind the show.

“She protected us fiercely. She protected us publicly. She protected us privately…,” he continued.

“But I was probably fired. It wasn’t ceremoniously like, ‘You’re fired,’ it was just like, ‘You’re not coming back.’”

They say reasons can provide understanding and closure, but I’m not sure these ones are going to help me sleep any better at night. Especially when my dreams involve an alternate universe where Mark and Lexie have several babies.

But at least Dane can get decent shut-eye knowing that the show peaked while he was on it?

MKR’s Amy and Lara on what Michael is really like and the cast rivalry

My Kitchen Rules (MKR) 2025 gatecrashers Amy and Lara aren’t afraid of a bit of conflict, and they’ve already clashed with Michael at the dinner table. During Danielle and Marko’s Instant Restaurant, Michael was visibly frustrated that Amy and Lara dodged his questions about why they were competing in MKR, and he declared the two saucy divorcees would be the first to go home.

The divorcees tell Chattr they didn’t have the best first impression of Michael and Rielli, with Lara joking their necks “must be sore from looking down on everyone”.

“I think Michael just feels like he’s the captain of this ship, or whatever this is, and it’s like, when did he take over? Is he the self-proclaimed boss of the table?” Amy says. “He unfairly judged us, but I think he just needs a cuddle… it’s like he gets [wound] up, and then he just can’t stop himself.”

Michael labelled Lara a “blonde bimbo” during their first interaction, but the divorcees are quick to point out that Lara is a natural redhead.

“I feel sorry for him,” Lara says. “I don’t actually think he knows what the word bimbo means. I might have to give him a pass at this stage, but he was quick to fire back at me, yeah.”

Are the MKR gatecrashers going to score the OGs strategically?

There’s a bit of a divide between the MKR gatecrashers and the OG contestants, and it doesn’t look like that’s changing soon.

“1000 per cent there’s going to be some rivalry. I mean, it’s a competition, and it makes sense, and it’s just amusing to sit back and watch [the OGs] just go so basic. It’s so basic,” Amy says, referring to the OGs being critical of gatecrashers Danielle and Marko’s dishes.

“We got the feeling as soon as we sat down, it was gonna be that way,” Lara adds. “I think the judges were on par with our scoring, and then the OGs, they just low-balled. That was a bit disappointing.”

However, Amy and Lara plan on scoring all of the teams — including the OGs — fairly instead of strategically.

“At the end of the day, it is a cooking competition and we wouldn’t [score unfairly]. What do they say? Do unto others as you’d like to be treated,” Amy declares. “It should be fair, because it’s a competition and all that strategic scoring, we don’t want a part of it… it’s about the food, not the drama. We’re here for cooking, so we judge fairly.”

Lara also notes that if you start getting messy and scoring badly, it could come back to bite you in the end.

“We don’t want the karma coming back at us and then having them lowball us. We just want to make it as fair as possible,” Lara says.

The saucy divorcees Amy and Lara are yet to cook on MKR, but with Amy’s background as a private cook, they’re definitely a pair to watch.

My Kitchen Rules (MKR) airs on Monday and Tuesday nights at 7:30pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.

Meet MKR’s Mark and Tan: The competitive duo bringing Thai flavours to the table

Mark and Tan are one of three Gatecrasher teams who have joined My Kitchen Rules (MKR) 2025 for round two of the Instant Restaurants.

Mark, 35, and Tan, 27, are both from South Australia. They met five years ago at a martial arts event, where they shared a few post-match beers and instantly became close friends.

Mark is a private business consultant. Meanwhile, Thai-born Tan moved to Australia when he was three and now owns a thriving hospitality business, managing three bars in Adelaide.

The men will be cooking for five of their fellow competitors with the hope of topping the MKR leaderboard — but, with Danielle and Marko kicking off round two of the Instant Restaurants with a score of 84, they’ve got a tough act to follow.

Read on to find out everything you need to know about MKR’s Mark and Tan.

Why Mark and Tan joined My Kitchen Rules

Mark is a self-taught cook, while Tan honed his Thai cooking skills growing up.

“I have a Thai background, which means I grew up learning to cook traditional cuisine from my parents. All other cuisines are self-taught. Fortunately, I love cooking and I’m eager to explore new ideas and cuisines from different cultures. I watch food reels every day to learn something new,” he said.

Mark said that cooking with Tan was a driving force behind his choice to join MKR.

MKR is a chance to try something different and interesting, combining the competition element and cooking alongside Tan,” he said.

Tan added that he’s looking forward to showcasing food from his culture on the show.

To prove to myself that I can compete and do well in high-pressure environments, outside of businesses. I want to cook for people, showcase my background and make my family proud,” he said.

When will Mark and Tan’s instant restaurant be?

The first team to cook for round two of the Instant Restaurants was Danielle and Marko, who received the highest score this season.

Maria and Bailey are scheduled to cook next, and their Instant Restaurant will air on September 23 at 7:30pm.

Mark and Tan don’t have a scheduled air date for their Instant Restaurant just yet, but we can’t wait to see how they go!

My Kitchen Rules (MKR) airs on Monday and Tuesday nights at 7:30pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.

Who are MKR’s Danielle and Marko? What we know about the happy couple

The gatecrashers have arrived on My Kitchen Rules (MKR) 2025, and happy couple Danielle and Marko have already received the best score of the competition so far.

The 26-year-olds from Western Australia are super bubbly and positive, but make no mistake — they’re here to win. The couple met at a music festival seven years ago, and now live together in Perth with Marko’s family.

With Marko’s Serbian background and Danielle’s Chinese heritage, the keen home cooks are going to bring plenty of flavour and spice to the competition.

Here’s everything we know about MKR’s happy couple Danielle and Marko

Marko works as a truck driving assessor and instructor, while Danielle is a project officer for a company supporting people with disabilities who are looking for employment in Australia. Danielle is also a budding influencer, and you can find her reviewing bars and restaurants on social media.

“My parents inspired my love of cooking. There is nothing better than a good home-cooked meal,” Danielle says.

MKR combines so many things that I love: competing, cooking, travelling, meeting new people and getting to spend time with Marko.”

Marko believes he works so well with Danielle in the kitchen due to their “chill” relationship. “We both try to stay as chill as possible and not boss each other around. Once stress enters the kitchen, you don’t cook to your full potential,” he says.

Danielle adds that while she is better with the technical side of cooking, Marko has a “good understanding” of flavours.

What did Danielle and Marko cook for their MKR Instant Restaurant?

Danielle and Marko were first to cook in MKR‘s second Instant Restaurant round, and they set the bar extremely high. The pair served a Spicy Ahi Tuna on Crispy Rice for their entree, Pork Belly with Noodles for their main, and Miso Brownies with Sesame Ice Cream and Miso Caramel Sauce for dessert.

The WA couple received a total of 84/110 for their delicious feast.

Will Danielle and Marko get along with any of the other MKR contestants?

Danielle and Marko are closest in age to Lol, 26, and Lil, 25, and seem to have similar personalities.

After Lil met the MKR gatecrashers for the first time, she told Chattr she had a good feeling about Danielle and Marko.

“I think we’ll get along with the young couple, and then possibly the two boys [Mark and Tan] as well,” Lil spilled.

Will Danielle and Marko keep their place on top of the leaderboard? With five more couples to cook for a spot in the competition, anything could happen.

My Kitchen Rules (MKR) airs on Monday and Tuesday nights at 7:30pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.

MKR 2025: Where the leaderboard stands after Danielle and Marko’s cook

ts own Instant Restaurant for the rest of the group.

At their own Instant Restaurant, the teams will serve a three-course meal, which will be scored by the fellow contestants and MKR judges Manu Feildel and Colin Fassnidge.

The six teams of contestants will give an overall score out of 10 for all of the meals prepared, meaning that their score made up 50 points out of 110. Meanwhile, Manu and Colin will score each course out of 10, so their points make up 60 out of 110.

So far, round one of the Instant Restaurants has been completed, and Mel and Jacinta received the lowest score, so they were eliminated from the competition. Because Justin, Will, and Anne and Maree received the two highest scores, they were exempt from participating in round two.

The second round sees Maria and Bailey, Michael and Rielli and Lol and Lil joined by three new teams dubbed the Gatecrashers. Whoever finishes the round with the lowest scores will risk being eliminated.

Here’s where the MKR scoreboard sits so far.

The Overall MKR 2025 Leaderboard for round two

  • Danielle and Marko – 84 out of 110
  • Mark and Tan – yet to cook
  • Amy and Laura – yet to cook

  • Michael and Rielli – yet to cook
  • Lol and Lil – yet to cook

Danielle and Marko

Danielle and Marko whipped up a Spicy Ahi Tuna on Crispy Rice for an entree, which Manu and Colin loved. They carried on their successful streak with their main on Pork Belly with Noodles, with Manu saying the pork was “done amazingly” and Colin adding that it “put a smile” on his face.

For dessert, the couple served Miso Brownies with Sesame Ice Cream and Miso Caramel Sauce, which, unsurprisingly, the judges loved, too.

Danielle and Marko received an overall score of 84, higher than any score from the first round.

Individual scores for the Ultimate Instant Restaurant round

Mel and Jacinta – Eliminated

Where will Mel and Jacinta sit on the MKR leaderboard.

It was a tough night for Jacinta and Mel. Their dishes were criticised by both the judges and their fellow contestants before they were informed that they had been eliminated from the competition.

Their entree of Bang Bang Cauliflower with Spiced Cashew Sauce and Pickled Cucumber was their strongest, with both judges noting that they loved the flavour combination.

Their main of Braised Beef with Black Rice, Lime and Corn Salad and Coconut Roti was critiqued by Manu, who said there were some “really dry pieces of beef”, with Colin adding that it was burnt on top.

Their dessert of Tofu Mocha Mousse with Coffee Liqueur and Coconut Sauce came out even weaker, receiving a three from both Colin and Manu. Colin called the texture a brick-like and pointed out that “you should not be able to stand a spoon in mousse.”

Their overall score of 50 put them much lower than Lol and Lil, who were sitting at the bottom of the leaderboard before Jacinta and Mel’s Instant Restaurant, and they were sent home.

Guest Teams scores: 22/50

Manu’s scores: 14/30

Colin’s scores: 14/30

Overall MKR 2025 leaderboard score: 50/110

Justin and Will

Justin and Will are currently on the top of the MKR leaderboard.

Justin and Will were the first team off the block on MKR 2025. They served up a heartfelt menu to set a strong culinary tone at their Instant Restaurant Tropic Like It’s Hot.

They served Ota Ika (Ceviche) with Taro crisps for entrée, Red Duck Curry with Coconut Rice for main, and Cape Malay Koeksister (South African fried doughnut) with spice syrup for dessert.

Their standout dish was their main, which impressed both judges and the other teams.  Manu called it a “wonderful, ballsy curry”, and Colin said it was “near perfect,” though the undercooked rice let them down.

Guest Teams scores: 37/50

Manu’s scores: 21/30

Colin’s scores: 21/30

Overall MKR 2025 leaderboard score: 79/110

Anne and Maree

Anne and Maree are second on the MKR 2025 leaderboard.

Mother-daughter duo Anne and Maree headed into the kitchen for their Instant Restaurant with their secret weapon – Yia-yia’s treasured handwritten recipe book passed down through generations.

The judges loved the entrée of Chargrilled Octopus with Spanakorizo. However, they said their main dish, Chicken and Lamb Souvlakia with Pita and Tzatzikiwas flavourful but didn’t hit the mark technically.

The dessert of Orange Semolina Cake with Chocolate and Candied Orange held deep sentimental value, as it was one of the first recipes Anne’s mother taught her.

Despite getting a higher score from the judges than Justin and Will, the guest teams score left them sitting lower on the leaderboard.

Guest Teams scores: 34/50

Manu’s scores: 22/30

Colin’s scores: 22/30

Overall MKR 2025 leaderboard score: 78/110

Michael and Rielli

Michael and Rielli on my Kitchen Rules 2025

Michael and Rielli sent shockwaves through the competition when they served up a main meal of Buttered Beef Tongue with Braised Cabbage and Potato Straws to the group, which notably included one vegan.

For their entree, they opted for Beetroot and Feta Cheesecake and a Raspberry Gel with Chocolate Mousse Dome for dessert.

Colin was impressed with the cook on the beef tongue but thought that the main’s garnish and lack of sauce let the dish down. Manu loved the dessert and said it was a “great finish”.

Guest Teams scores: 28/50

Manu’s scores: 18/30

Colin’s scores: 19/30

Overall MKR 2025 leaderboard score: 65/110

Lol and Lil

Lol and Lil on MKR

Lol and Lil launched their Instant Restaurant, Sugar, Spice and Everything, with their usual upbeat attitude. But not everything went to plan.

The judges deemed the prawns in their entree of Grilled Prawn and Mango Tortilla Bites undercooked, and the pastry in their hearty Chicken and Leek Pot Pie was burnt.

Fortunately, their dessert of Lemon Meringue Pie was a standout, which both judges enjoyed. However, it wasn’t enough to get them a strong score, and Lol and Lil ranked last on the leaderboard, with only Mel and Jacinta left to cook.

Guest Teams scores: 27/50

Manu’s scores: 18/30

Colin’s scores: 19/30

Overall MKR 2025 leaderboard score: 64/110

Maria and Bailey

Maria and Bailey on My Kitchen Rules

Maria and Bailey had high expectations for their Instant Restaurant, Medusa. However, despite having an almost perfect entree of Spanakopita Raviolo with Feta Crème, Crispy Leek and Dill Oil, the rest of the night didn’t fare as well.

Their main was Citrus Beurre Blanc and Charred Leek, but Bailey forgot to add white wine to the sauce, resulting in a thick, unbalanced dish. Manu and Colin weren’t sure about their dessert of Citrus Panna Cotta either, with Colin calling it “odd and jarring”.

Guest Teams scores: 29/50

Manu’s scores: 19/30

Colin’s scores: 20/30

Overall MKR 2025 leaderboard score: 68/110

What rules do MKR contestants have to follow and how much are they paid?

The new season of My Kitchen Rules 2025 (MKR) has already kicked off with a knife fight, and the drama is just beginning. However, there is some method to the madness, with producers putting strict rules in place for the cooks.

Contestants Michael and Rielli have lifted the lid on what really happens behind the scenes on MKR, including whether contestants have to follow rules in the kitchen, how much they’re paid, and whether anyone has to eat cold food.

How much are MKR contestants paid?

Michael and Rielli wouldn’t give an exact figure for compensation, but confirmed that the cooks are paid for their time on the cooking show.

“I would say that the pay is reasonable, definitely livable, and yeah, very fair,” Michael says mysteriously.

In 2019, Piper O’Neill competed on MKR, and at that time, said she received $1000 per week by Channel Seven. “I was paid $500 per week for being on the show,” she said in a claim made to the Personal Injury Commission of NSW.

“I was given an additional $500 a week for food for myself to eat and to aid in the purchase of food that would need to be bought and to practice cooking for the show.”

What rules do MKR contestants have to follow in the kitchen?

Rielli tells Chattr there are “so many rules” the contestants have to follow in the kitchen, especially when it comes to hygiene.

“Even before cooking, you have to have your hair up, you have to have your fingers and hands well groomed, and you always have to be constantly washing your hands,” she says.

“You’re feeding people at the end of the day so there’s definitely health regulations.”

Is there a limit on the amount of alcohol MKR contestants can drink?

Jacinta and Mel tell Chattr there isn’t a copious amount of alcohol served on MKR. “What we’re given at the start of the show is what’s there, and then that’s it,” Jacinta spills. “Nobody’s drinking more than they should, because that’s what we’ve got at the start of the night and that’s what we work with.”

Mel jumps in and says: “Most of us don’t really drink that much. I think most of us have about a couple of glasses of wine for a restaurant. But the producers, they also keep an eye on anything.”

How long are MKR filming days?

Some of the days on set can be rather long, with the Instant Restaurant round taking a while to film.

“Filming days can be quite long. I probably couldn’t put it into an exact time frame, but they’re definitely long days and you can be quite tired,” Mel admits. “But you’re also excited, it’s an awesome opportunity to be involved in.”

Are there any limitations on what MKR contestants can cook?

Contestants on MKR have complete control over what they decide to cook, with one caveat: each element of the dish, including pastry, pasta, and stocks, must be made in the kitchen.

“You can’t have any pre-bought stuff. Like my beef stock, I had to make it from bone. If you’ve got pasta, you’ve got to make it,” Michael spills.

Sounds like there are no shortcuts on MKR! “It’s fully about cooking,” Rielli adds. “Everything has to be made from scratch.”

Do MKR contestants have to quit their jobs to go on the show?

Contestants don’t necessarily have to quit their jobs to go on MKR, but they do need to take some leave.

“You don’t have to quit [your job] if you have a good boss,” Lol tells Chattr. “Maybe, if you don’t have a good boss, you might have to quit.”

Do MKR contestants ever have to eat cold or raw food?

Rielli tells Chattr that a duo could potentially serve raw food later in the season, which has us intrigued.

“Theoretically, a contestant could serve raw food. You never know, that kind of thing can happen,” Rielli teases. “Might have to watch the rest of the season.”

Mel and Jacinta on MKR 2025
Mel and Jacinta on My Kitchen Rules. Image: Seven

Michael also adds that sometimes contestants end up having to eat cold food if the timing of the cook doesn’t go perfectly.

“It all depends on the actual cooks and how quickly they can prepare it and plate it,” he says, before Rielli adds, “It’s a production at the end of the day. And you know what? Not everything comes out [at a] speedy time, because we are just normal everyday people trying to cook for 12 people. That’s craziness.”

We’ll have to keep an eye out during the rest of the My Kitchen Rules season to see if anybody serves up a stone-cold dish.

My Kitchen Rules (MKR) airs on Monday and Tuesday nights at 7:30pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.

Who are MKR’s Amy and Lara? What we know about the saucy divorcees

We may have said goodbye to My Kitchen Rules (MKR) 2025 ‘villains’ Jacinta and Mel, but there’s a new pair in the kitchen ready to bring the heat: gatecrashers Amy and Lara. The saucy divorcees made a dramatic entrance, giving meat master Michael quite the stare-down.

The mums have only been friends for two years, but have a really strong connection. Lara describes herself as “dry-witted, confused and calculating”, while Amy says she’s “funny, chill and cuts to the chase”.

Amy and Lara enjoy whipping up delicious meals in the kitchen, and both say they were self-taught. It looks like Amy might be the one to ruffle a few feathers, with Lara describing her as “danger, high voltage” and warning contestants to “proceed with caution!”.

Here’s everything we know about MKR’s saucy divorcees Amy and Lara

Amy works as an occasional private cook, but prefers to describe herself as a stay-at-home mum going through a divorce. Her friend Lara is a tech consultant who sees creating dishes as a great counterbalance to her office work.

“I’ve loved cooking since I was little and wanted to be a baker by the time I was two. I grew up on a farm, where I loved cooking with homegrown food and catching fresh food,” Amy says.

Lara developed her love of food from watching her parents entertain guests. “Dad was the freestyle ‘a bit of this, a bit of that’ type cook, while mum was recipe faithful. I’m the hybrid child of both,” Lara says. “[I’m] self-taught, kitchen-trained and family-tested. I learned through curiosity, repetition, and trial and error.”

Is MKR gatecrasher Amy a professional chef?

Amy is a private cook but not a qualified chef, which means she’s allowed to compete on MKR. A bio on Instagram shared by Ford PR reveals she has cooked for some extremely high-profile clients, including Kerry Packer, Chris Hemsworth, and Lorna Jane. So, she won’t be intimidated by Manu Feildel and Colin Fassnidge on the show.

“From the tender age of two, Amy’s fascination with baking led her to dream of creating delectable treats, filling her home with irresistible aromas. Inspired by her mother’s expertise, she spent countless hours in the kitchen, eagerly absorbing techniques and flavours,” the post reads.

“Having served esteemed clients such as Liam Talbot, Brisbane Bullets basketballer Aron Baynes, and the owners of Good Price Pharmacy, Hanh Luu and Anthony Yap, Amy has honed her skills in providing personalised experiences tailored to the unique preferences of each of her clients. Her tenure as a Private Cook for high-profile identities like Kerry Packer, Chris Hemsworth and Lorna Jane, underscores her ability to uphold confidentiality while delivering impeccable service.”

Who will MKR’s Amy and Lara clash with on the show?

With Amy’s large personality, it’s possible she will clash heavily with Michael, especially since his main sparring partner, Jacinta, has left.

Lol and Lil also told Chattr they weren’t sure if they would get along with Amy and Lara after meeting them at Jacinta and Mel’s house.

“The saucy divorcees, shall we call them? Not sure how we feel about them at this stage,” Lol admitted.

Will Amy and Lara be able to top the leaderboard of the second Instant Restaurant round? Only time will tell.

My Kitchen Rules (MKR) airs on Monday and Tuesday nights at 7:30pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.

Ben and Emma think their ‘second place streak’ could pay off at The Block auction

The Block‘s Ben and Emma may have repeatedly missed out on bagging a room reveal win and taking home the $10,000 cash prize. However, the married couple believes their near-misses could lead to a win on auction day.

During the first seven weeks of The Block, Emma and Ben have come in second place four times, as well as coming runner-up in the Hepburn Spa Challenge.

While the bubbly couple admitted that it was disappointing to miss out on the win during an interview with Chattr, they had a positive outlook, saying that consistently having great rooms could lead to their house selling for the most on auction day.

“Every week we just aim to put our best room forward and hope that we get strong scores,” Ben explained.

“It became hard not getting the cash to help us do better rooms in the following weeks. But we just knew that we had to be consistent. That’s what we wanted. We wanted a consistent, coherent house all the way through.”

Shelley Craft and Scotty Cam with Ben and Emma.

Emma said that while they might not be taking out weekly wins, their focus has always been on building a strong, cohesive home.

“We were just always thinking of the end user,” she said. “I think you can play one of two games with The Block, you play the game for the end use, or you play the game to impress the judges each week, and sometimes [the former is] a bit of a roll of the dice.

“You can go really good one week and then bomb out the next. Whereas Ben and I, we just trying to make a really solid, consistent house, which I think is what we’ve created.”

Emma and Ben.

How do The Block auctions work?

Once the Blockheads have finished renovating their hours, each is set a reserve price. In the past, reserves have varied depending on the size of the homes. But because every place has the same floor plan this year, it’s likely that the reserves will all be around the same price.

On audition day, buyers bid for the houses, and the contestants get to take home whatever the house sells for over reserve. If a house doesn’t sell for above its reserve, it will be passed in and later sold on the open market like a standard property sale. The contestants will still take home any amount the house sells for above the reserve.

The team’s house that sells for the most over the reserve will also receive an additional $100,000 prize money.

The Block 2025 airs on Sundays at 7:30pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Meet the MKR Gatecrashers

Three new teams are joining My Kitchen Rules (MKR) 2025 as Gatecrashers, joining Michael and Rielli, Maria and Bailey, and Lol and Lil as they travel across Australia for round two of the Instant Restaurants.

Just moments after Mel and Jacinta were eliminated from the competition after scoring the lowest on the MKR leaderboard in round one, Danielle and Marko, Mark and Tan and Amy and Laura were introduced.

MKR 2025 OG team, Lol and Lil narrowly missed out on being the first team eliminated, after scoring the second lowest in round one. So, the girls had better hope that one of the newcomers takes the heat off them in the next round.

Speaking to Chattr, Lol and Lil seemed to only warm to one of the three teams of Gatecrashers.

“The saucy divorcees shall we call them? Not sure how we feel about them at this stage,” Lol said of Amy and Lara.

“The two boys at the end, I feel like they’re definitely going to be a threat,” Lil chimed in, referring to Mark and Tan. She added that she and Lol got along best with “the young couple”.

Read on to find out everything you need to know about the MKR 2025 Gatecrashers.

Danielle, 26 and Marko, 26

Danielle and Marko on MKR 2025

Danielle and Marko have been dating for seven years after meeting at a music festival. Danielle already has a taste for the food scene, reviewing Perth’s restaurants and bars on social media as a side hustle.

Danielle credits her parents for sparking her love of food. “My mum and dad inspired my passion for cooking. To me, nothing compares to a good home-cooked meal.”

Marko shares a similar story, drawing inspiration from his Serbian heritage. “Growing up in a Serbian household, I learned much of my cooking from my dad. My passion and skills grew through trial and error, creativity, and simply observing what works.”

Mark, 35 and Tan, 27

MKR 2025 Mark and Tan Gatecrashres

Mark and Tan are competitive mates who met five years ago at a martial arts event.

Mark loves cooking and was a a former personal trainer who now runs his own sports and gym consulting business. However, it sounds like Tan will be doing the heavy lifting in the kitchen, as owns a thriving hospitality business, managing three bars in Adelaide.

Thai-born Tan, who moved to Australia when he was three, and Marko both plan to focus on Thai-inspired dishes during their time on MKR.

“On MKR, we’re primarily focusing on Thai cuisine, so we aim to highlight the importance of family, culture, and food,” Mark said.

Amy, 45 and Lara, 36

Amy and Lara on MKR 2025 as Gatecrashers

Amy and Lara are mums from Queensland who have only known each other for two years, but are hoping to make a splash in the MKR kitchen.

Amy is a self-taught, occasional private cook, while Lara is a tech consultant.

“I’m a self-taught cook. As a little girl, I watched my mother cook, always sitting on the bench, helping her,” Amy said, potentially downplaying her experience as a private chef.

Meanwhile, Lara described herself as “self-taught,” saying her love of cooking was ingrained from an early age. “Dad was the freestyle, ‘a bit of this, a bit of that’ type of cook, while Mum was recipe-faithful. I’m the hybrid child of both,” she explained.

The Block 2025: Steph and Gian know which house will win this year

The Block 2025 winner will be determined by a live auction, but former winners Steph and Gian Ottavio already know which house will sell for the most money.

On Shelley Craft’s official The Block podcast, Steph and Gian joined her to chat about the show, and the couple weren’t shy about which house they would have chosen if they were contestants this year.

“Absolutely [House] 5. There is no other option,” Steph said, before Gian agreed, saying he thought House 5 was “the best”.

Steph is an architect, so she had some thoughts about the layout of The Block and tipped Robby and Mat as the future winners for 2025.

“I personally know the house that is going to win before anyone did anything to it. From the orientation,” Steph claimed. “You’ve got five houses, all with the same floor plan. The one on the end that overlooks the national park so that no one can obstruct your view, naturally, then would have the best sunlight and the way in which the sun hits that space and just the landscaping, the portals and everything, that’s created by not having a neighbour on one side, it’s an obvious no-brainer.”

Steph stressed her choice wasn’t based on any of the contestants or who she liked the most from her visit to site, but because of the bones of the houses.

“The way we look at property is the things that you cannot change and you can’t change the site conditions and that is why House 5 will win,” she added.

What does Gian like about Robby and Mat’s House 5?

Gian also picked Robby and Mat to take away the grand prize, because they are “thinking outside the box”.

“They were gonna have an added amenity in that wine cellar, that if 100 people were walking through five houses, that was the one that would stick in their heads, because no one else has utilised the space like that,” he told Shelley.

However, Emma and Ben decided to add a “wine storage room” below their house, which kicked off a whole cheating scandal.

“I think copying is the biggest form of flattery. I don’t believe in copying. If you see someone is doing something exceptional, be better, be faster, be more creative. Do something to one-up that. Don’t just try and do an inferior version of it,” Mat told Chattr.

At least Robby and Mat have Steph and Gian’s stamp of approval, whether or not there’s a copycat on The Block.

The Block 2025 airs on Sundays at 7:30pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

MKR’s Jacinta and Mel explain shock decision to serve meat

My Kitchen Rules (MKR) 2025 contestants Jacinta and Mel have been at the centre of many heated discussions, mostly due to their outspoken nature and Jacinta’s restrictive plant-based diet. While contestants were expecting a full vegetarian meal at their Instant Restaurant, the feisty cousins shook things up by serving a meat-heavy braised beef with black rice, lime and corn salad with coconut roti.

Jacinta tells Chattr she believes the contestants and viewers would likely have been “surprised” by their meat-heavy dish, but it’s a dish Mel personally loves to cook and eat.

“I don’t cook meat in my everyday life, so when Mel and I, the way we cook together is Mel would do her portion if she wanted to eat meat, only for the reason [that] I like to taste as I cook,” Jacinta says.

“But the dish that we made, Mel loves. So it just makes sense… we’re a team, and she loves to eat that, so it’s not like we [did] it to cause any more drama, obviously.”

Jacinta tells us she wished they had plated up a different dish, but from what Chattr understands, contestants put forward different recipe options, and producers have the final say.

“[Everybody would have been] surprised with what was chosen for the first meal. There were other meals that Mel and I would have rather cooked, because we had some pretty exciting plant-based sort of dishes,” Jacinta explains.

Mel and Jacinta knew there would be quite a reaction at the dinner table when the guests realised they were being served braised beef, with the self-proclaimed meat master, Michael, judging them heavily.

“They [would have been] a bit shocked with that, just because obviously it’s been quite the big talk around the table that because [Jacinta doesn’t eat] meat, so for us to then serve up our main dish to be a meat-heavy component… it’ll definitely [have] set some tongues wagging around the table,” Mel adds.

What went wrong with Mel and Jacinta’s Instant Restaurant?

In the end, it wasn’t just Mel and Jacinta’s burnt meat dish that let them down — the MKR judges and other contestants also gave their tofu mocha mousse with coffee liqueur and coconut sauce a thumbs-down.

At one point, Manu Feildel placed his spoon into the glass and then waved the entire dessert around in the air to show how solid it was. Michael and Rielli declared they didn’t like the dessert, while Lil couldn’t contain her glee in seeing her competition fail at the final hurdle.

In the end, Mel and Jacinta scored a lowly 50 for their Instant Restaurant, compared to Lil and Lol’s 64, and they were sent packing.

My Kitchen Rules (MKR) airs on Monday and Tuesday nights at 7:30pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.

Who has left MKR 2025?

The first round of Instant Restaurants on My Kitchen Rules (MKR) 2025 are in the bag, and the time has come for the first team to be eliminated from the competition.

Throughout the competition so far, each of the teams have been scored by both their fellow competitors, as well as judges Manu Feildel and Colin Fassnidge, and those scores determined their place on the MKR leaderboard.

Ahead of the last Instant Restaurant, which was Mel and Jacinta’s, Lol and Lil sat at the bottom of the scoreboard with a total of 64 out of 110. The only way that Mel and Jacinta could be saved was if they racked up a lower total score.

After the first elimination, MKR contestants usually travel around Australia for a second round of Instant Restaurants — but this time, they’ll be joined by Gatecrashers. Gatecrashers are three late-comers — often known as intruders — who compete against the remaining home cooks

So, who has been eliminated from MKR so far? Read on to find out!

Who was eliminated from My Kitchen Rules 2025?

Jacinta and Mel were the final team to host their Instant Restaurant on MKR 2025. To stay in the game, all they needed to do was score higher than Lol and Lil’s total of 64 out of 110.

Unfortunately for the feisty cousins, they fell well below that mark, receiving a total of 50 points.

Their entrée of Bang Bang Cauliflower with Spiced Cashew Sauce and Pickled Cucumber was the highlight of the night, with both judges praising the flavour combination.

The main — Braised Beef with Black Rice, Lime and Corn Salad, and Coconut Roti — fared worse. Manu remarked that some pieces of beef were “really dry,” while Colin noted the top was burnt.

Dessert proved to be their weakest course. The Tofu Mocha Mousse with Coffee Liqueur and Coconut Sauce earned just a three from each judge, with Colin criticising its brick-like texture and quipping, “You should not be able to stand a spoon in mousse.”

Their score of 50 sent them to the bottom of the MKR leaderboard, sealing their fate and seeing them eliminated from the competition.

My Kitchen Rules (MKR) airs on Monday and Tuesday nights at 7:30pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.

Steph Tisdell on the close bond The Amazing Race contestants formed behind the scenes

They might not have taken home the win, but Ben and Steph Tisdell walked away from The Amazing Race Australia with friendships that will last well beyond the finish line.

While The Amazing Race Australia is predominantly competitive, and focuses on the challenges each team face as they race each pitstop, Steph told Chattr that there was a lot of camaraderie between this year’s cast.

“It’s so funny, because obviously it never makes the air, right? But we all cried when each other left. All of us were a little family, and it was weird how we ended up wanting to kind of cheer each other on.”

Steph added that the entire cast is in a group chat, which still pops off to this day.

“We all chat in the group chat all day, every day. And I would say, I think I got particularly close with Dom [Tomato].

“All of us were really, really close, but I think Luke and Scott and Ben and I, we were so close, and we just kept on being right next to each other and all the challenges. So we kind of had the most time together as well.”

Steph and Ben on The Amazing Race.

Steph added that while Luke and Scott have a “funny” relationship on social media, “they’re also the smartest, most kind-hearted, generous people.”

“The bits that didn’t make the edit were the most beautiful parts. There was a moment where we were walking up this giant hill to get to the zip line in Nepal, and Luke and Scott lost a place because they wanted to hold my hand and walk up with me.”

Steph explained that, although she expected eliminations to feel rewarding in a competitive setting, she was surprised to find them devastating.

“When the camera stopped rolling, we’d all just be crying, saying goodbye to each other. It all happens quite quickly, but you get that close that quickly.”

How Steph felt finding out that she was eliminated from The Amazing Race Australia

Steph and Ben knew that they were at the end of the pack when they hit the mat during The Amazing Race Episode 4, and having already had a non-elimination round, they were fairly certain they’d be heading home.

“It was one of those things where it was like, yeah, this is coming, and this is fair. I was gutted, obviously, because we wanted to win the money for Bridget, Water Foundation, and then we obviously wanted to win, just to have that win on the side.

“But, at the same time, it was like, you know what, I can’t compete with these guys, everyone’s just fucking brilliant at this, and I was excited for everyone.”

Every baker who has been whisked away on The Great Australian Bake Off 2025

Whisks up, ovens on — The Great Australian Bake Off Season 8 is back, streaming on LifeStyle and on Demand every Tuesday, and the competition is already baking up a storm.

This season, twelve new home bakers from all walks of life come together to take part in bake-offs to test their baking skills as they battle it out for the crown of Australia’s best amateur baker. Across 10 jam-packed episodes, the bakers will face the ultimate triple-threat every week: the signature, the technical, and the dreaded showstopper — all tied together with a fresh theme each episode.

And of course, you can’t have a Great Australian Bake Off without some hosts and judges, right? This year, Natalie Tran and Tom Walker bring the laughs as hosts, while Darren Purchese and Rachel Khoo return to dish out the critiques (and some smiles).

Keep reading to see everyone eliminated from The Great Australian Bake Off 2025.

Everyone who has left The Great Australian Bake Off 2025

Aysha Moulton

Aysha infused every bake with the flavours and memories of the Solomon Islands, wowing the judges with her creativity and winning hearts with her generosity.

But during Japan Week, things didn’t quite go to plan.

First up, Aysha tackled 12 pandan and coconut shokupan buns. The flavours hit the mark, but the dough and detailing on the braids held her back.

Next came the technical challenge — Rachel’s matcha, yuzu and black sesame crepe roll. Aysha absolutely nailed it. Darren even said, “Whoever this is, they know what they’re doing.”

Finally, the showstopper: her tropical cheesecake. Sadly, the flavours and texture didn’t come together the way she hoped.

In the end, Aysha became the seventh contestant to leave the competition.

“I’ve had an amazing time,” she said.

“It really opened my eyes to my skills and showed me that I can do anything I put my mind to.

Brian Rooney

Brian Rooney on The Great Australian Bake Off
Brian Rooney on The Great Australian Bake Off. Image: LifeStyle.

Brian Rooney walked into the shed full of determination, ready to show off his baking skills — and for the most part, he did. But during Little and Large Week, his bakes didn’t quite hit the mark.

His first creation, a Tiny Snowman, sadly ended up looking more like a melted one. The white chocolate ganache didn’t set, and the cake’s texture wasn’t quite consistent.

Then came Darren’s technical challenge: the Giant Chocolate Éclair. Brian faced the challenge head on, but his choux pastry missed the crunch the judges were looking for.

Finally, the showstopper — Brian’s Department Store. He was praised for his super-neat stencil work, but the judges wanted more decoration on the front and wished for a bigger hit of spice. To top it off, the biscuit was a little too soft.

And just like that, Brian became the sixth baker to leave the competition.

“I had a great time,” Brian said with a smile.

“Every baker that’s left deserves to be in the top three. They’re so talented and passionate — they’ve really reignited my love for baking.”

Jai Johns

Jai on The Great Australian Bake Off 2025
Jai Johns on The Great Australian Bake Off. Image: LifeStyle.

Jai Johns entered the competition with a love for plant-based baking and a flair for bold flavours. A passionate vegan, they took on every challenge with confidence and creativity — but during Tropical Week, things just didn’t quite come together.

Their first bake — Beachy Banoffee Tarts — wowed the judges with tropical vibes and great flavour. Unfortunately, the pastry didn’t rise to the occasion and left them wanting more.

The technical challenge — a classic mille-feuille — also fell short, with pastry that wasn’t quite cooked through.

Finally, Jai’s showstopper, cheekily named Calaman-See Ya Next Week, sadly lived up to its name. The judges felt the balance of flavours wasn’t quite there, and it just wasn’t enough to keep them in the competition.

“I’ve had such a good time,” they said.

“I’ve met so many beautiful people, it’s been so fun just to nerd pout with people about baking, I never get to do that.”

Kelarnie Whalen

Kelarnie on The Great Australian Bake Off
Kelarnie Whalen on The Great Australian Bake Off. Image: LifeStyle.

Kelarnie Whalen lit up the shed with pure joy, boundless enthusiasm, and undeniable talent — but when bread week rolled around, her sunshine spirit just wasn’t quite enough to save her from elimination.

She started strong with her Cinnamon Scroll Bagels, impressing the judges with their vibrant colour and delicious flavour. Darren, however, noted that he was craving a little more lift and fluffiness in the dough.

Next came the technical: Darren’s Turkish Bread with baba ganoush. While Kelarnie tackled the challenge head-on, the judges again pointed out that the dough fell slightly flat and could’ve benefited from a gentler touch.

Finally, her third bake — Kelarnie’s Snake Bread — missed the mark for the judges, with the details and definition not quite coming together, making her the fourth contestant to be whisked from the shed.

“I’m proud of how far I’ve come,” Kelarnie said after being eliminated.

“I did not even expect to be here, I’ve made so many new friends and I can’t wait to be baking again.”

Wesley Mitton

Wesley on The Great Australian Bake Off 2025
Wesley Mitton on The Great Australian Bake Off. Image: LifeStyle.

Wesley Mitton entered the tent with passion, flair and plenty of baking confidence, but Pie Week ended up being his undoing.

His first bake — a Galette Des Rois — was underbaked and not quite sealed properly, though Rachel did admit it had a nice bit of flakiness going on. Then came his Rhubarb Tangram Pie, but sadly, both the look and the flavours fell flat for the judges. That was enough to see Wesley become the third baker sent packing from the shed.

Still, he left with his head held high.

“I’ve had an amazing time, I’m really proud of myself,” Wesley said after his elimination.

“I will be taking away 11 new friends.”

Erik Newcomb

Erik on The Great Australian Bake Off 2025

Erik Newcomb entered the tent with a passion for baking and a love of decorating, inspired by his Polish grandmother, but this week was where the cookie crumbled.

His first dish — Hot Chocolate Biscuits & S’mores — had the judges drooling, but Darren was quick to point out that his chocolate needed proper tempering. Then came his showstopper, Travel Around the Globe. The judges loved the idea and the flavours, but sadly, it just wasn’t enough to save him, and Erik became the second baker whisked out of the competition.

Gregson Gastar

Gregson on The great Australia Bake Off

Even though Gregson Gastar twirled into the shed with his pineapple obsession and his sweet dance moves, Cake Week wasn’t his week.

Gregson kicked things off with his Dancing Pineapple Roll, which wowed the judges with its colour and perfectly fluffy sponge and cream. But his second bake, the Gum Tree cake just didn’t quite hit the mark with judge Darren admitting it “may have fallen short a little bit” — making Gregson the first baker to be sent packing.

“I’ve had the best time,” he said.

“The stuff that I have learned in this shed is priceless. I might be the first gone, but they’re always gonna remember my pineapple dance.”

The Great Australian Bake Off season 8 airs in 2025 on LifeStyle and Demand.

MKR’s Lol and Lil reveal if they’re going to score Mel and Jacinta fairly or strategically

My Kitchen Rules (MKR) 2025 is heating up, with the first elimination taking place tonight after Mel and Jacinta’s Instant Restaurant. Fan-favourites Lil and Lol are last on the leaderboard, so they’re hoping Mel and Jacinta trip up and get sent home.

There’s a strategic component to the Instant Restaurant rounds, with each team being able to score their competition’s meal. If a team wants to stay in the competition, they could theoretically score the other cooks one out of 10.

But will Lil and Lol stoop to that level to secure their spot in the MKR competition? The pair tell Chattr that while they hope “something goes wrong” with Mel and Jacinta’s cook, they won’t be scoring strategically.

“I think we will definitely still be fair,” Lil says, before Lol adds, “I think it makes us look at things a little bit differently because of how we were scored [at our Instant Restaurant], but definitely will still be fair going into it.”

“[We] may be vocal when we definitely don’t like something… maybe making our point a bit more valid. Maybe we’ve been a little bit too nice. Time to bring the spice.”

Lil and Lol on MKR 2025

Lil tells us the pair are feeling “very nervous” going into Jacinta and Mel’s Instant Restaurant, as they are desperate to not go home. “The nerves are really high, and there is a possibility that we might be going home,” she admits.

“Being on the bottom, we really just hope that everything’s in our favour, and maybe something goes wrong [with Jacinta and Mel’s cook]. We really don’t want this to be our last cook or last dinner party.”

Lil and Lol reveal what Jacinta and Mel are really like

Even though Jacinta and Mel’s cook will determine whether or not Lil and Lol go home, the girls still won’t speak badly of their competition.

“I don’t think [Jacinta and Mel] deserve the amount of backlash they’ve got,” Lol says carefully. “Emotions are heightened in that situation. You have all these big personalities at the table that have never met.

“Obviously, people are going to react in different ways and get emotional about things, but I definitely don’t think they deserve the backlash they’ve gotten.”

What would Lil and Lol do with the MKR prize money?

The winners of My Kitchen Rules (MKR) 2025 will walk away with a whopping $100,000. Lil and Lol have big plans for their winnings, should they manage to stay in the competition and take out the title.

“The money is absolutely life-changing. We have a few little ideas together. We want to release a cookbook based on our Instant Restaurant name, Sugar, Spice, Everything Nice. Maybe like a three-part cookbook, and then eventually down the track, we would love a little cafe together,” Lol spills.

“We are definitely underestimated in this competition… you don’t have to be, as I said, 83 to know how to cook. There’s so many TikToks, there’s social media these days. It shows you different cuisines from all around the world.

“You don’t have to go there to know how to do it and I think Lil and I are proof. You don’t have to travel to know how to cook.”

But will Lol and Lil still have a chance to win the $100,000 MKR prize? It all depends on how Mel and Jacinta’s cook goes tonight.

My Kitchen Rules (MKR) airs on Monday and Tuesday nights at 7:30pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.

The Block 2025: Week 7 room reveals

Each week The Block 2025 cast will unveil their finished rooms to the judges in the hope of scoring glowing reviews and snagging some prize money to put towards their renovations.

During The Block 2025 premiere, the contestants were given a budget of $250,000 for their renovation. If they win challenges and the weekly room reveals, they have the potential to earn extra cash and furnishing vouchers.

Unlike some recent years, they were also given the entire renovation schedule, with suggested budgets for each room. In another new twist, every house this year is exactly the same in size and layout, so it will be up to the contestants to show their creativity and initiative in styling and make their choices really stand out.

However, it’s not just the winning teams that score prize money this year. The team that spends the least each week takes home a Commonwealth Bank $10,000 award for the best budget, matching the amount the best room receives in prize money.

Robby and Mat

Week 7 – Kitchen (Tied winners with Britt and Taz)

There was plenty to love in Robby and Mat’s kitchen this week. The judges were impressed with the appliance choices and the sleek styling, while Shaynna praised the space for having real heart. The only question mark was the fake door leading into the main bedroom — but overall, it was a glowing week for the boys.

Cash Spent: $19,413

Scores:

  • Darren: 9.5
  • Marty: 9.5
  • Shaynna: 9.5

Total: 28.5

Week 6 – Rumpus Room

Not the boys’ finest week. They didn’t get to finish their rumpus room after a floorboard supply issue left them short. The judges thought they completely dropped the ball — the design was a poor effort and not very Daylesford. Shaynna was especially unimpressed with the overload of indoor plants.

Cash spent: $21,225

Scores:

  • Darren: 6
  • Marty: 6
  • Shaynna: 6

Total: 18

Week 5 – Living and Dining Room – Winners

Another week, another stand out result for Robby and Matt. Marty was left speechless (in the best way). He was very confident that this room will appeal to buyers. Shaynna was pleasantly surprised with the styling and the furniture choices were excellent. An extra point was awarded after playing the gnome.

Cash spent: $21,225

Scores:

  • Darren: 9.5
  • Marty: 9.5
  • Shaynna: 9.5

Total: 29.5 (after playing the gnome)

Week 4 – Main Bedroom

All three judges were impressed with the painting. Darren and Shaynna loved the four-poster bed, though Shaynna felt it was a little off-centre. Overall, the spaces were strong and very hard to fault.

Cash spent: $17,933

Scores:

  • Darren: 9
  • Marty: 8
  • Shaynna: 8

Total: 25

Week 3 – Main Bathroom

It was a strong week for both Robby and Matt, resonating with two of the judges. Darren described the bathroom styling as his “love language,” while Shaynna felt it lacked the same bravery they had shown in Weeks 1 and 2, but still loved a lot of things about it.

Scores:

  • Darren: 9.5
  • Marty: 9.75
  • Shaynna: 8

Total: 27.25

Week 2 – Kids Bedroom

Feeling bold after a few champagnes at last week’s celebratory dinner, Robby and Mat chose a daring material for their bedhead. However, the decision didn’t sit well with the judges, who said the room felt more like a grandma’s than a kid’s.

Cash spent: $24,432

Scores:

  • Darren: 7.5
  • Marty: 6.5
  • Shaynna: 6.5

Total: 20.5

Week 1 – Bathroom reveal

Robby and Mat were the only ones to have horizontal towel rails, which the judges loved. Shaynna, Darren and Marty loved the room and said it was a strong start for the mates.

Cash spent: $25,394

Scores:

  • Darren: 9
  • Marty: 9
  • Shaynna: 8.5

Total: 26.5

Sonny and Alicia

Week 7 – Kitchen

Shaynna and Darren were big fans of this kitchen, especially the bold blue — a colour rarely seen on The Block. But Marty wasn’t impressed, calling it “as bland as a piece of bread.” His harsh critique even had Alicia admitting she’s starting to take his comments personally. Still, the judges agreed the reworked living and dining spaces were a huge improvement and finally feel like they’ve come together. Sonny and Alicia also took the $10,000 Commonwealth Bank budget award again.

Cash Spent: $12,103

Scores

  • Darren: 9.5
  • Marty: 8.5
  • Shaynna: 9

Total: 27

Week 6 – Rumpus Room

A huge week for Sonny and Alicia! The judges loved everything about their rumpus room — especially the burgundy colour drenching, which Darren had been waiting on all season. Shaynna said the space feels quintessentially Daylesford. And to top it all off, Sonny and Alicia finished week 6 on a high, taking home the $260,000 Titanium caravan.

Cash spent: $19,999

Scores:

  • Darren: 9.5
  • Marty: 9
  • Shaynna: 9

Total: 27.5

Week 5 – Living and Dining Room

This week was nothing short of a disaster. The judges found fault with almost everything, starting with the spatial planning — which they felt was completely off. The living room felt cramped and cluttered, a huge missed opportunity that left the judges disappointed. They said Sonny and Alicia had a lot of work to do before the auction as they’ll have to completely salvage it with new furniture choices. However, one positive was that the judges loved the brick fireplace.

Cash spent: $19,999

Scores:

  • Darren: 8
  • Marty: 6.5
  • Shaynna: 6.5

Total: 20.5

Week 4 – Main Bedroom

The judges kicked off with praise for Sonny and Alicia, calling their lighting plan the best on The Block this week. But that’s where the compliments ended. The painting missed the mark, and the room felt too spacious. Shaynna thought it all came across as corporate, while Marty said the walk-in wardrobe looked like it belonged in a Southbank apartment. Sonny and Alicia were devastated.

Cash spent: $19,172

Scores:

  • Darren: 7
  • Marty: 7.5
  • Shaynna: 7

Total: 21.5

Week 3 – Main Bathroom

Sonny and Alicia’s bathroom could woo buyers, but the judges weren’t loving the scattershot layout — and one side’s styling totally fell flat. The pair promised it’ll all click once the main bedroom and walk-in robe are unveiled. On the bright side, the Gold Coast duo snagged their second $10k Commonwealth Bank win in a row.

Scores:

  • Darren: 9
  • Marty: 9
  • Shaynna: 9.5

Total: 27.5

Week 2 – Kids Bedroom

The judges were relatively impressed with Sonny and Alicia’s room, but felt like they could have pushed harder. However, the Blockheads said that they had their eye on the long game and wanted to appeal to a broad market.

Cash spent: $14,970

Scores:

  • Darren: 9
  • Marty: 7.5
  • Shaynna: 8

Total: 24.5

Week 1 – Bathroom reveal

Cash spent: $14,739

Marty, Darren and Shaynna loved Sonny and Alica’s colour palette and said they were off to a great start.

Scores:

  • Darren: 9
  • Marty: 8.5
  • Shaynna: 8

Total: 25.5

Han and Can

Week 7 – Kitchen

It was a week of highs and lows for Han and Can. Marty and Darren adored the kitchen and were full of praise, but Shaynna wasn’t convinced. For her, it lacked soul and missed the essence of Daylesford. Marty, ever the real estate agent, called it flamboyant and highly marketable. But when it came to the rangehood, all the judges — and even host Scott Cam — agreed it was far too low. Overall? A real mix of feedback for the girls.

Cash Spent- $20,845

Scores:

  • Darren: 9.5
  • Marty: 9
  • Shaynna: 8

Total: 26.5

Week 6 – Rumpus Room – Winners

Lots of love this week for Han and Can. The judges loved the layout of the cinema room, and the furniture choices were perfect — including the couch. Marty thinks this room is very marketable. Easily their best feedback so far in the competition. The girls took out the win, plus their first 10, meaning that $20,000 went straight into their bank.

Cash Spent: $32,412

Scores:

  • Darren: 10
  • Marty: 9.75
  • Shaynna: 9.5

Total: 29.25

Week 5 – Living and Dining Room

It looks like Han and Can are back on track this week. All three judges thought they did an incredible job getting the vibe just right. Shaynna said it’s as if they have grown up. Every element in the room worked beautifully, creating a space that impressed across the board. The real star of the show was the custom-made Christian Cole table, which the judges absolutely adored.

Cash spent: $32,412

Scores:

  • Darren: 9.5
  • Marty: 9
  • Shaynna: 9

Total: 27.5

Week 4 – Main Bedroom

Marty came in swinging, saying he hated everything about Han and Can’s room this week. The bold blue was “too much” and needed to go. The judges did like the walk-in wardrobe, but Shaynna wasn’t convinced. She felt the girls’ home was having an identity crisis, with the main bedroom, wardrobe and bathroom all feeling completely different.

Cash spent: $18,643

Scores:

  • Darren: 6.5
  • Marty: 6.5
  • Shaynna: 7

Total: 20

Week 3 – Main Bathroom – Winners

All eyes were on the see-through bath — bold, different, and totally loved by the judges. The colour palette? Big tick. And with Han sick all week, the girls still pulled off an absolute stunner of a bathroom. An extra point was awarded after playing the gnome.

Scores:

  • Darren: 9.5
  • Marty: 9.5
  • Shaynna: 9

Total: 29

Week 2 – Kids Bedroom

At first glance, Shaynna, Marty and Darren loved Han and Can’s room, but on closer inspection, they felt like too much was going on, and said the nursery was too busy and impractical for a baby.

Cash spent: $15,477

Scores:

  • Darren: 9
  • Marty: 7.5
  • Shaynna: 7.5

Total: 24

Week 1 – Bathroom reveal

Cash spent:  $19,711

The judges were devastated for Han and Can that they weren’t able to finish their first room. Aside from the unfinished elements, they weren’t impressed with overall styling or  the high vanity and horizontal towel rails.

Scores:

  • Darren: 6.5
  • Marty: 6.5
  • Shaynna: 6.5

Total: 19.5

Britt and Taz

Week 7 – Kitchen – Tied winners with Robby and Mat

Britt and Taz bounced back to the top this week with a kitchen that wowed the judges from every angle. The E&S appliances from week 2 added to the impact, but it was the design that truly stole the show. The ceiling left everyone impressed, Darren raved about the smart layout and breathtaking architecture, and Shaynna felt the space had a real emotional connection.

Cash Spent: $17,968

Scores:

  • Darren: 9.5
  • Marty: 9.5
  • Shaynna: 9.5

Total: 28.5

Week 6 – Rumpus Room

Unfortunately, not a great week for Britt and Taz as the judges think they completely missed the mark by turning the rumpus into a wellness room. This means they only have one living space in what’s meant to be a luxury home. The judges have advised Britt and Taz to rethink what they are doing. But will they listen? They plan to consult their real estate agent.

Cash Spent: $33,585

Scores:

  • Darren: 7
  • Marty: 6.5
  • Shaynna: 7

Total: 20.5

Week 5 – Living and Dining Room

Another strong room from Britt & Taz. The judges were taken by the timber detailing in the roof, calling it a beautiful blend of mid-century country — very Daylesford. Shaynna even said that it could have been a perfect 10, but the layout let it down as the couch wasn’t quite in the right place.

Cash spent: $33,585

Scores:

  • Darren: 9.5
  • Marty: 9.5
  • Shaynna: 9.5

Total: 28.5

Week 4 – Main Bedroom – Winners

The judges glided into the main bedroom and were hit with instant wow factor. Britt’s styling and design skills left them seriously impressed, with big love for the furniture choices in both the bedroom and the walk-in. The paintwork wasn’t perfect, but it hardly mattered — this was about as close to perfect as it gets, crowning this week’s winners.

Cash spent: $15,074

Scores:

  • Darren: 10
  • Marty: 9.5
  • Shaynna: 9.5

Total: 29

Week 3 – Main Bathroom

Vanity

Marty reckoned the room had “upmarket abattoir” vibes — luckily, Britt and Taz took it on the chin. The judges weren’t sold on the bathroom’s design choices either, with an arched shower screen and a square door that Marty thought was a total mismatch.

Scores:

  • Darren: 7.5
  • Marty: 6.5
  • Shaynna: 7.5

Total: 21.5

Week 2 – Kids Bedroom – Winners

The judges thought Britt and Taz nailed the modern contemporary country theme, and had plenty of compliments for their use of colour.

Cash spent: $16,970

Scores:

  • Darren: 9.5
  • Marty: 9
  • Shaynna: 9.5

Total: 28

Week 1 – Bathroom reveal

Cash spent: $21,350

Marty, Darren and Shaynna thought that Britt and Taz were off to a good start, but had a bit of advice for the couple. They didn’t like that they used floor to ceiling tiles, and thought the vanity was too high.

Scores:

  • Darren: 8
  • Marty: 8
  • Shaynna: 8

Total: 24

Emma and Ben

Week 7 – Kitchen

The judges were instantly impressed as soon as they walked in. Emma and Ben had completely transformed the living and dining areas, and Shaynna declared that they’d “saved this house”. All three judges loved the kitchen for its simplicity and styling. The only critique? The fridge placement — sitting awkwardly right next to the main bedroom entrance.

Cash spent: $12,223

Scores

  • Darren: 9
  • Marty: 8.5
  • Shaynna: 8.5

Total: 26

Week 6 – Rumpus room

Emma and Ben’s rumpus room reveal totally wowed Marty, who loved the vibe and said it felt very Daylesford. Shaynna, on the other hand, wished it leaned a little more kid friendly. But overall? The judges agree — Emma and Ben have officially set the standard for the rest of the competition. Plus, an extra $10,000 for having the best budget of the week.

Cash Spent: $22,269

Scores:

  • Darren: 9.5
  • Marty: 9.5
  • Shaynna: 9

Total: 28

Week 5 – Living and Dining Room

Unfortunately, this was Emma and Ben’s first room that didn’t win the judges over. The layout felt off, with the couch in the wrong place, and overall, the space just didn’t deliver. The grandeur of the ceiling was the highlight, but that’s as good as it got for this week’s reveal. Shaynna said the space lacked sophistication and felt a bit corporate.

Cash spent: $22,269

Scores:

  • Darren: 8
  • Marty: 6.5
  • Shaynna: 7.5

Total: 22

Week 4 – Main Bedroom

The judges were seriously impressed this week, especially with the bold burgundy palette. Marty said buyers will love the main bedroom and the luxury of the walk-in wardrobe. For Emma and Ben, the verdict was clear — close to perfect coming in second for this week’s room reveal.

Cash spent: $24,575

Scores:

  • Darren: 9.5
  • Marty: 9
  • Shaynna: 9.5

Total: 28

Week 3 – Main Bathroom

Em and Ben’s bathroom was a hit with the judges, who were obsessed with the tile choice — pure Daylesford vibes. Bold without tipping into tacky, the space sealed their status as Shaynna’s pick for frontrunners in the comp so far.

Scores:

  • Darren: 9.5
  • Marty: 9
  • Shaynna: 8.5

Total: 28

Week 2 – Kids Bedroom

Marty, Shaynna and Darren deemed both of Emma and Ben’s room strong and said that they were both executed to a very high standard.

Cash spent: $17,554

Scores:

  • Darren: 9
  • Marty: 8
  • Shaynna: 8.5

Total: 25.5

Week 1 – Bathroom reveal

All three judges loved Emma and Ben’s room, with the only real negative they pointed out being the curved nib wall and a few rough finishes.

Cash spent: $22,552

Scores:

  • Darren: 8.5
  • Marty: 7.5
  • Shaynna: 8

Total: 24

The Voice Australia’s Hunter responds to ‘cheating’ claims after Ronan Keating’s shock move

Hunter Black has responded to “cheating” claims after coach Ronan Keating stunned viewers and changed his mind on The Voice Australia 2025. During the Battle Round, Ronan decided to keep Cle Morgan and cut Hunter Black from the competition.

However, when the episode was wrapping up, the coach told host Sonia Kruger he needed to do something unorthodox before walking backstage to find Hunter. Ronan told Hunter he’d made a “mistake” by not using his save to keep the 21-year-old singer in the competition, and used it retrospectively. Coach Richard Marx asked if it was “legal”, while Kate Miller-Heidke asked if it was “cheating”.

Hunter tells Chattr he was so “happy” when Ronan pressed save, but when Kate brought up “cheating”, he saw his dream slip away. “I realised, oh, maybe she’s right, I believe her, because it is [cheating], it kind of is. But I just went with the flow, I wasn’t trying to argue, and that’s when I asked the question, ‘Is this allowed?’, and then Ronan said, ‘Well, it is now’,” he recalls.

“I didn’t ask many more questions, because I didn’t want to, you know, jinx something. So I just went with it. But for a second, I was definitely worried.”

Hunter has been reading some of the comments left by viewers, and he tells us the response to being retrospectively saved has been primarily positive.

“I think a lot of people have come to the agreement that, because you know, we just gelled so well together on the stage, that I think most people are happy that I was saved,” he says.

“I’m sure there’s people that don’t think that [was] the traditional save process, but like Ronan said, I think it’s in the fine print, he’s allowed to do it.”

Hunter was “angry” when he was called back on The Voice Australia

After Hunter was eliminated from The Voice Australia, he was “devastated” and ready to go to a bar to reflect on his time in the competition. After changing out of his costume and messing up his hair, he was sitting in the departure room, ready to leave.

“I was approached by a producer last minute, saying, ‘Oh, there’s been a mistake. You need to come back in and do some more filming and extra photos’,” Hunter remembers. “I was really angry, I nearly swore at them, I was just so devastated [by being eliminated].”

After changing back into his outfit and redoing his hair, he was rushed backstage and saw Ronan, which made him realise something was about to change.

“I kind of had a little bit of spark of hope, a bit of excitement,” he says. “[I didn’t think I was] back in the show, but maybe I [could] at least go on stage and give it another crack, or whatever it was… I was confused but excited.”

After Ronan used his final save on Hunter, it took him a long time to believe he deserved a spot in the competition. However, it’s made him a lot hungrier to win The Voice Australia 2025.

“I didn’t think I was worthy of it, because I knew that [it] was the last save… I got really emotional, because I was just so grateful for him, especially using the last save of all four coaches,” Hunter spills.

“For this next performance, I’ve got to give it all, all I have really. I’ve been given my last shot on this show, I’m on a bit of thin ice. If I can give this next performance my all [and] leave it all on the table, then I’m happy with myself.”

If Hunter takes out the win, this would be The Voice Australia’s best redemption story yet. We’ll have to see how the competition shakes out.

The Voice Australia continues 7pm on Sundays on Channel Seven and 7plus.

Steph Tisdell on why non-elimination legs are so important on The Amazing Race

Steph and Ben Tisdell were eliminated after arriving last at The Amazing Race Australia mat for the second time, having been spared during their first last-place finish on a non-elimination leg.

Every season of The Amazing Race Australia features a handful of non-elimination legs, but contestants are never told in advance which stages will send them home and which won’t. In Episode 2, Steph and Ben were the last team to cross the finish line, and host Beau Ryan told them that their spot in the race was saved because it was a pre-determined non-elimination leg.

Steph told Chattr that she fully expected to be sent home then.

“It was awful because I didn’t want to let Ben down. For me, that was the big thing; he stepped up constantly,” she said.

While non-elim legs often draw strong opinions from social media users, with some believing that they are used to save favourites, Steph said they have a huge psychological benefit for the racers.

“I don’t know how people feel watching it, but I think the non-elimination rounds, as contestants, are so amazing because it puts you back in the mindset, it’s all about that psychology of really recommitting to the race.

“It is really tiring, the long days, and it’s on the back of travelling a lot, and there’s just so much more that you can’t really think of because of how tired you are. So, those non-elimination rounds are always this: ‘Oh, my God, I actually do really want to be here.'”

Steph added that her and Ben’s pre-determined non-elimination round on episode two gave her an extra oomph to work harder to stay in the race.

Steph on the one quality that makes a great Amazing Race contestant

Though Steph and her brother Ben may have bowed out of The Amazing Race Australia fairly early, she believes there’s one quality that makes a great racer.

“I think what makes somebody really good at it is being able to stay present,” she explained.

“Aesha and Scott are just having the best time of their lives, right? And, Leni and Fev [Brendan], you can just see they are just bonding so much, and he’s just excited all the time.

“That’s what I loved watching as well. It was just everyone’s enthusiasm, she added. “You just go, they’re just having a good time, and it makes all the difference, because it makes you want to work harder.”

The Amazing Race Australia airs on Sundays at 7pm and Mondays at 7:30pm on Channel 10 and 10Play.

Who has left The Amazing Race Australia 2025?

The Amazing Race Australia 2025 is underway, and 13 teams of Australian celebrities are gallivanting around the globe in the hope of winning the prize for their chosen charity.

Among this year’s cast is Brendan Fevola and his daughter Leni, Dessert Masters host Melissa Leong and her friend Leah Wilson and Below Deck icon Aesha Scott and her fiance Scott Dobson.

Each team has chosen a charity to represent, and whichever team crosses the finish line first will win $100,000 for their cause.

Tai ‘Bam Bam’ and Logan Tuviasa won The Amazing Race Australia 2024 and donated their prize to the Sydney Region Aboriginal Corporation.

“I used to work for them,” Tai told Chattr at the time. “I used to run a men’s group, and used to look after men down there. So we do a lot of work with the community, so I was really familiar with them. I had been doing a lot of football stuff with them.”

But with eliminations happening almost every episode, some celebrities are already losing their chance at snagging the winner’s title and the prize money.

Read on to find out who has left from The Amazing Race Australia 2025 so far.

Who has been eliminated from The Amazing Race Australia so far?

Stop four – Steph and Ben

Steph and Ben on The Amazing Race

Steph and Ben narrowly avoided elimination at stop two, but they met their end at stop four. While they thrived at selling pomegranate juice in the first challenge, thanks to Steph’s confident approach, they fell behind during the second dance challenge.

When they hit the mat shortly after Lindy and Stella, Beau informed them that they were eliminated.

“Brigit Water Foundation is run by our mum,” Steph said. “And it provides water to rural communities and developing countries.”

“It would have been nice to get the money for it, but we’ve had such a good time here anyway,” Ben added.

Stop three – Bronte Campbell and Benfield Lainchbury

Bronte and Benfield chose a door-painting challenge over tile scrubbing, which proved far too time-consuming. Luke and Sassy made the same choice, and the lengthy task ultimately left both teams trailing in last place.

However, Luke and Sassy managed to finish their challenge first, beating Bronte and Benfield to the finish line.

After host Beau Cook confirmed their elimination, Olympian Bronte reflected on the charity they were racing for — Carers Australia — sharing how her own mum dedicates herself to caring for her brother, who lives with cerebral palsy.

Stop two – non elimination

Brendan and Leni narrowly missed out on finishing last on The Amazing Race Australia during episode two, after they took a wrong turn right before the finish line.

Meanwhile, Luke and Sassy and Steph and Ben fell behind during the last challenge and it was Steph and Ben who were last to the Pit Stop. However, luckily for them, it was a pre-determined non-elimination.

Stop one – Ed Kavalee and Tiff Hall

Ed and Tiff fell behind during the Detour challenge, where they had to stack hay into a pyramid tall enough to meet the required height.

After spending a considerable amount of time trying to complete the task, they decided to take a time penalty, which meant they’d have an extra 20 minutes added on after they reached the mat.

Although Ed and Tiff arrived at the mat in 11th place, both Luke and Sassy, along with Lindy and Stella, managed to check in while the pair served their time penalty — ultimately leading to their elimination from the race.

The Block contestants reveals how much the cast is paid and other juicy BTS secrets

While The Block is one of the most lucrative shows on Australian TV for contestants, their financial compensation isn’t solely tied to the profit from selling their renovated homes.

Like other reality TV shows, the cast is paid a salary while on the show, but Mitch and Mark from The Block 2019 and 2021 reveal that it’s barely enough to get by.

“Contestants are paid $100 per day, so it’s tough to maintain bills. You need to have savings to be able to go onto The Block and be out of the workforce for 12 weeks and the duration of promotional work, etc., ” they said in a Reddit Ask Me Anything (AMA).

“When we did The Block, there were meals from sponsors — and they were amazing,” they added.

Mark and Mitch on why contestants don’t spill on what happens behind the scenes

It’s well known that most reality TV shows have input from producers to help form storylines and make interesting TV. However, it’s very rare for contestants to come out and talk about what happens behind the scenes.

In the AMA, Mark and Mitch specualted that the reason The Block contestants stay away from revealing behind-the-scenes details is to help them get a better edit, or boost post-show career prospects.

“There seems to be the sense of a ‘lure’ that if you play the game right, there might be other opportunities, but that generally is far from reality,” They wrote.

“On our last season we spoke openly and honestly about how we felt about the judging and their track record in predicting the winner of The Block – and on the night we won, our manager advised they had received an email telling them that we should stop our honest comments about the judging (which were a key part of the edit in the show) or we would never have opportunities again.

“Since then, we’ve had shows with Channel 10 and Channel 7, but never heard from The Block, or maybe it’s just a coincidence,” they concluded.

That might explain why they’re doing an AMA on Reddit!

The Block 2025 airs on Sundays at 7:30pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
