Farmer Wants a Wife 2025 Farmers: Meet the eligible bachelors looking for love

Farmer Wants a Wife is gearing up to (hopefully) bring us a well-deserved love story for 2025. The four Farmers who will be leading that charge have been confirmed, and it’s time for us to meet them!

Eight farmers were shortlisted in July 2024 to be the leads for the upcoming season, and applicants were encouraged to apply for the one they liked the look of.

Now, the final lineup of 2025 Farmers has been announced—and Corey, Tom, Thomas, and Jarrad will search for a farm wife on the wholesome reality show.

Find out more about the Farmer Wants A Wife Farmers below.

Farmer Jarrad

Farmer Jarrad is 21 years old and describes himself as a “goofy creative”. He lives on a sheep farm outside of Stanthorpe, Queensland.

“I’ll also send you crazy from singing too much,” he says. (I’ve watched his intro reel and can confirm he has a fantastic voice!)

Farmer Thomas

Farmer Thomas

Farmer Thomas is a 35-year-old “hardworking and driven farmer” living on a wheat, lentil and barley farm in Kimba, South Australia. He is the oldest of the Farmer Wants A Wife farmers in our 2025 crop.

He’s a whopping 6’4 in height and is looking for someone who is “kind, caring and honest” with their own passions.

Farmer Corey

Farmer Corey on Farmer Wants a Wife

Farmer Corey is a 24-year-old working on a beans, hay and cotton farm in Biloela, Queensland. What’s he looking for?

“I’d like to have a partner who is kind and giving and able to enjoy the simple life, the farm and the way we live. I want a team player and a best mate to take on life with.”

Farmer Tom

Farmer Tom is a 31-year-old sheep farmer from Borambola, New South Wales. He’s keen to find a wife to share his life on the farm with.

Farmer Tom loves Taylor Swift (music) because he’s only human. He’d love to find “someone who looks for positives instead of negatives”.

Friendly reminder: Farmer Wants A Wife Australia has created 10 marriages and 27 kids (!!!) since it started airing. It’s a much better success rate than Married At First Sight and Love Island, right?

Farmer Wants a Wife 2025 will air after Easter on Channel 7 and 7plus.

Meet MAFS 2025’s Paul Antoine who’s a bit of a reality TV veteran

Paul Antoine was the very first Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 groom to be announced, and we’re unsurprised that he’s a recognisable face.

While ex-The Bachelor contestant Sierah Swepstone was one of the MAFS 2025 brides, she isn’t the only one who’s dipped her toes in a dating reality show before.

Yep, Paul — who was on reality TV just two years ago — is one of MAFS 2025 grooms.

Paul Antoine on MAFS 2025 at his wedding.
Paul Antoine on Married At First Sight 2025. Image: Nine.

What reality show has Paul Antoine been on before?

Paul starred on The Real Love Boat Australia in 2022. The short-lived show was basically Love Island on a boat.

Paul was one of 21 singles who tried to find love with the help of host Darren McMullen, cruise director Hannah Ferrier, head of entertainment Daniel Doody and captain Paolo Arrigo.

Unfortunately (or fortunately?), Paul’s quest for love was about as successful as the show itself, which has since been axed.

Paul is a fitness coach living in Perth. However, he is originally from France and moved to Australia 11 years ago.

When he was on The Real Love Boat Australia, he was hoping to find someone down-to-earth and was a fan of long chats — so we can only assume that’s what he’s looking for this time around, too.

Who is MAFS’ Paul Antoine?

According to Paul’s Channel 9 bio, he’s a hopeless romantic, who’s gone through the small dating pool in Perth.

He’s had two long-term relationships in the past and is ready to find his forever love. Paul said that person would ideally be a woman with European flair, with a smile that lights up the room.

Who is Paul Antoine matched with on MAFS 2025?

Paul’s MAFS bride is fashion influencer and aspiring actress Carina Mirabile. She’s also no stranger to the silver screen, with an acting career that includes roles in two short films and appearances in several commercials.

When they first got TV hitched, Carina wasn’t exactly over the moon. As luck would have it, the two had already dated before the show but, after a hiking date, Paul ghosted her. So, not exactly the best start.

Despite that little hiccup, it seems like the couple has managed to move on, and their relationship has only gotten stronger since.

In fact, Carina may have hinted at their current status during a Chattr interview.

When asked about all the MAFS drama unfolding, Carina told us she hasn’t been keeping up because she’s too busy spending time with Paul and the rest of the cast.

“To be fair, my phone is going off, and I’m just enjoying life with Paul and all the rest of the cast that are my friends,” she said.

Life with Paul, you say? Could this be third time lucky for the TV vet? Guess we’ll have to wait and see!

Married At First Sight 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

MAFS 2025’s Sierah Swepstone: Meet the ex-Bachelor contestant looking for love

Possibly one of the most recognisable faces on Married At First Sight 2025 (MAFS) is The Bachelor’s Sierah Swepstone

If that name doesn’t ring a bell for you, then maybe you’ll remember her as the self-professed “tall, horny bogan” from Jimmy Nicholson‘s season.

Here’s everything to know about Sierah.

MAFS 2025 star Sierah Swepstone winks at the camera on The Bachelor set, with flowers and candles in the background
An icon. Image: Ten.

Sierah Swepstone is the first ex-Bachelor contestant on MAFS

While there always seems to be reality TV crossovers — like MAFS 2024’s Ben Walters apparently being approached for The Bachelors and Janelle Han choosing MAFS 2023 instead of receiving roses — this will actually be the first time an ex-contestant has appeared on the MAFS social experiment.

And if it was going to be anyone, we’re low-key excited it’s Sierah. Her exit from Jimmy’s 2021 season of The Bachelor was iconic.

Remember when she told all of Australia that she “definitely had chlamydia”? We’re all for a woman of honesty who doesn’t give two shits about the judgement.

Apparently, Sierah was poached by MAFS producers

MAFS 2025 star Sierah Swepstone on The Bachelor set, wearing a long necklace and giving an unimpressed look
Bring it on! Image: Ten.

Daily Mail Australia reported that Sierah was poached by MAFS producers. An insider told the publication, “She is a nutter but amazing for television because she just doesn’t care.”

Honestly, it was a shame that she was on Jimmy’s season (because it had one of the worst ratings in television history). However, it’s good she’ll be making her return on a show people actually care to watch.

We’re getting Lauren Dunn 2.0 vibes.

Sierah will be joining fellow reality TV personality Paul Antoine from The Real Love Boat, who’s already been married off to his ex-fling Carina Mirabile.

Alongside them is a wave of actor hopefuls, including Ryan Donnelly, and former Neighbours actor turned businessman Jeff Gobbels.

We can smell their new followers from here.

Married At First Sight 2025 airs Sundays at 7:30pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Is Raygun going to be on I’m A Celebrity Australia 2025?

Rachel Gunn — AKA Raygun — is reportedly in the sights of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! producers following her viral breakdancing routine at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

According to New Idea magazine, the 36-year-old has been deemed “the ideal campmate” by unnamed producers of the hit TV show. On top of that, two of the I’m a Celebrity Australia 2025 cast clues strongly suggest that the Olympian will be heading to South Africa.

Robert Irwin and Julia Morris I'm a celebrity cast 2024

In the past, the show has had the likes of Bernard Tomic, Abbie Chatfield, Domenica Calarco, Brendan Fevola, Callum Hole and many more in the campsite.

Is Raygun going to be on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here?

Although Raygun hasn’t officially been confirmed to join the I’m A Celebrity Australia 2025 cast yet, there is some compelling evidence supporting the idea.

In December 2025, the first cast clue was posted on the I’m a Celebrity Instagram account, revealing that an Olympian was entering the jungle.

“A headline-grabbing Olympian has a ticket to the African wilds. They love freestyle; will the Jungle break them?” the narrator said in the clip.

Then, in mid-January 2025, a second clue was published, which further indicated that Raygun was the celeb in question.

The bonus clue shared three emojis representing the mystery Olympian: a kangaroo, a croissant, and a cap.

Of course, Raygun famously imitated a Kangaroo during her routine at the Paris Olympics, during which she wore a cap. It doesn’t exactly take a rocket scientist to connect the emojis to the controversial breakdancer.

Furthermore, back in August 2024, New Idea magazine reported that the I’m a Celebrity producers were in talks with Raygun about joining the show.

“The public will want to hear her story in the jungle. Love her or loathe her, she has everyone talking,” the source told the publication.

Raygun made a video cameo at the 2024 Logies in August, where she encouraged the industry to whip out some of her moves to celebrate the night.

Raygun surprised the TV industry with an appearance at the Logies.

“It’s these viral moments and water-cooler conversations that IAC [I’m a Celebrity] will want to capitalise on,” the source said.

How did Raygun become famous?

Raygun has been the topic of the internet since she performed at the Paris 2024 Olympics, busting out the sprinkler and some kangaroo-esque moves that baffled the audience.

@sanantoniozoo

The roos at Kangaroo Krossing thought Raygun NAILED IT, and should have received a perfect score at the Olympics. 🦘🥇 #animals #kangaroos #cuteanimals #olympics #funnyanimals

In August, Raygun was referenced on The Jimmy Fallon Show and at an Adele concert that same month, truly proving that she got the world talking (and smiling).

While not everyone was supportive of Raygun making it to the Olympics—where she was awarded zero points—it’s likely that people are keen to hear more about her story.

Perhaps we will in the jungle?

I’m a Celebrity Australia… Get Me Out Of Here Australia 2025 will premiere on January 19 on Channel 10 and 10Play.

The White Lotus Season 3 trailer: Beaches, brawls and a body bag

The White Lotus Season 3 is taking us to a luxurious trip to Thailand, but like previous seasons, not everything will be sunshine and rainbows.

The new trailer for The White Lotus Season 3 has dropped and it is pure and utter chaos. From scenes of boozy nights out, to a body bag getting wheeled out, the new instalment will be nothing short of dramatic.

Ahead of the drop, let’s dive into everything we know so far about The White Lotus Season 3.

Carrie Coon, Michelle Monaghan, and Leslie Bibb are all in the new series.

What is The White Lotus Season 3 release date?

The third season of the enthralling series will be available to stream from February 17 on BINGE.

Is there a White Lotus Season 3 trailer?

There is! The first full-length trailer dropped on January 28. Watch it for yourself below.

Who is in The White Lotus cast for Season 3?

We now have the confirmed cast for The White Lotus season 3, featuring Season 1’s Natasha Rothwell, the spa manager who was taken for a ride by Jennifer Coolidge‘s character, Tanya McQuoid.

The cast for season 3 also includes Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Sarah Catherine Hook, Jason Isaacs, Lalisa Manobal, Michelle Monaghan, Sam Nivola, Lek Patravadi, Parker Posey, Natasha Rothwell, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Tayme Thapthimthong, and Aimee Lou Wood.

Additional cast includes Nicholas Duvernay, Arnas Fedaravičius, Christian Friedel, Scott Glenn, Dom Hetrakul, Julian Kostov, Charlotte Le Bon, Morgana O’Reilly, and Shalini Peiris.

Walton has gone ahead and done God’s work for White Lotus fans by sharing a bunch of behind-the-scenes photos of the Season 3 cast. The carousels include photos of cast members Michelle, Carrie and Leslie.

Will Jennifer Coolidge return to The White Lotus?

In Season 2, fan favourite and the only returning character, Tanya, was seemingly killed off. Will we see her return from the dead, or perhaps a long-lost twin sister will come in to take her place? Fingers crossed for a Coolidge resurrection, but HBO has been keeping mum if she’s returning.

However, with the release of the full trailer and no Tanya in sight, things don’t look promising.

What is The White Lotus Season 3 filmed?

Jason Isaacs, Parker Posey, Patrick Shwarzenegger, Sarah Catherine Hook, and Sam Nivola in white lotus season 3

After vacationing in Maui in Season 1 and Sicily in Season 2, HBO revealed in a statement that Season 3 will take us to the stunning setting of Thailand. Filming locations include Bangkok, Koh Samui and Phuket.

What hotel is The White Lotus filmed at?

The first two seasons were shot at Four Seasons resorts in Hawaii and Italy, and Season 3 followed the trend.

While there are Four Seasons resorts in both Bangkok and Koh Samui, Bloomberg reported in early 2024 that The White Lotus Season 3 would be filmed at the Koh Samui location.

AFAR has also reported that Phuket’s Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas will feature in Season 3 scenes.

What can we expect from The White Lotus Season 3?

white lotus season 3 cast Lalisa Manobal and Tayme Thapthimthong
Lalisa Manobal and Tayme Thapthimthong. Image: HBO

In a press release, we got a vague synopsis for this season, “The social satire is set at an exclusive Thai resort and follows the exploits of various guests and employees over the span of a week.”

If the past two seasons are anything to judge this season off, we know it will be a very dramatic week for the guests.

During an episode of the Unpacking explainer series, White said, “The first season kind of highlighted money, and then the second season is sex.

“I think the third season would be maybe a satirical and funny look at death and Eastern religion – and spirituality. It feels like it could be a rich tapestry to do another round at White Lotus.”

The show has absolutely cleaned up at awards shows in recent years. In total, the series has been nominated for more than 80 awards, winning 38, including two Golden Globes and 10 Emmy awards.

Is there a Season 4?

Yes, there will be a Season 4 of The White Lotus.

The next season has already been confirmed on the show’s Instagram, but they have kept the details very threadbare.

“Good news travels fast. #TheWhiteLotus is excited to welcome you to a new destination,” the Instagram caption read.

Where can I watch The White Lotus in Australia?

Seasons 1 and 2 are available to stream on BINGE.

The White Lotus Season 3 will air on BINGE from February 17, 2025.

Charlotte Crosby teases Aussie Shore chaos ahead of the show’s premiere

The official Aussie Shore cast, trailer and release date have dropped to get us all very, very excited for this undeniably bonkers show.

Callum Hole was the first announced member of the new Aussie Shore cast (so consider us fans of the show already) and now 10 more names have been added to the mix.

Aussie Shore is basically Geordie Shore down under and it will have the one and only Charlotte Crosby at the helm.

Keep reading for everything we know about the Aussie Shore cast so far.

What has Charlotte Crosby said about Aussie Shore?

Charlotte has teased viewers about the wild shenanigans that will happen on Aussie Shore. The former Geordie Shore star called the show the “ultimate Australian party adventure” and gave viewers a sneak peek into what to expect from the series.

Who is in the Aussie Shore cast?

Charlotte gave Kyle and Jackie O a taste of what we can expect from the Aussie Shore cast earlier this year and it all sounds very spicy.

Confirming that none of the Aussie Shore cast knew each other before filming began, Charlotte said this new generation “are pushing boundaries” that we didn’t even know existed.

What’s Callum Hole from?

Callum will be adding Aussie Shore to his reality TV resume after appearing on Love Island Australia, Love Island Games and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Earlier this year rumours circled that Callum would be returning for Love Island 2024 off the back of his I’m A Celeb success, put perhaps Paramount beat Nine to the punch?

“A huge addition to an already incredible cast! AUSSIE SHORE IS GUNNA BLOW EVERYONES MINDS,” Charlotte wrote on the Callum announcement post.

What’s Charlotte Crosby’s role on Aussie Shore?

Charlotte’s 12-year run on Geordie Shore makes her perfect for the role of House Boss on Aussie Shore.

Earlier this year, Charlotte confirmed to Kyle and Jackie O that she was filming the upcoming show but that the cast were all around a decade younger than her.

“That’s why I’m the boss,” she explained.

The Voice singer who shocked the nation with her screamo Britney Spears cover

Living rooms around the nation were surprised when The Voice Australia 2024 contestant Mol Turner whipped out powerful vocals that no one was prepared for.

On the August 26 episode of The Voice, 17-year-old Mol chose Britney Spears‘ iconic track Toxic — but with one very big death metal twist.

Sporting a shaggy blonde mullet, heavy eye makeup and chained jeans, Mol slowly built up to the chorus with an eerier and edgier take on the early noughties tune.

As she hit the chorus, well, The Voice coach LeAnn Rimes‘ reaction says it all:

the voice mol turner

The Voice coach Kate Miller-Heidke turned around for Mol, who is from the South Coast in New South Wales, meaning the teenager will now be on the Australian musician’s team.

What is Australia saying about Mol Turner’s audition?

With the show primarily showcasing mainstream genres and producing pop artists, Mol’s performance was surprising in a way that Australian audiences are loving.

While some viewers didn’t love the performance and are entitled to that opinion, the response is overwhelmingly positive.

“So good to finally see someone singing screamo,” someone commented on The Voice Instagram, noting that her “growl” was fire.

“An impressive death metal take on ‘Toxic’ that was so entertaining, she has quite an impressive vocal range — I think she will surprise us with what else she is capable of doing,” someone wrote to The Voice Australia Facebook.

Mol’s take on this song is definitely a welcome change. Even people who don’t neccesarily like death metal or screamo as a genre could still appreciate that she nailed it.

“Couldn’t think of anything more painful than listening to Death Metal but that was a fantastic performance and you can only appreciate the talent behind it,” one person wrote.

“Love it or hate it but that was amazing well done Mol !!!!. I loved every second!” wrote another.

“Not my cup of tea, but the girl has raw power. Glad she has the chance to perform on stage. All talents should be showcased,” an Instagram commenter added.

We can’t wait to see what Mol performs next!

The Voice Australia airs on Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Tuesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

An It Ends With Us sequel looks unlikely amid cast feud rumours

It Ends With Us just hit cinemas but there’s one sequel-shaped question on everyone’s lips: will we get a movie adaptation for It Starts With UsColleen Hoover‘s follow up novel to It Ends With Us?

Mentions of It Starts With Us have definitely been happening on the red carpets for the It Ends With Us movie but, as of right now, it hasn’t officially been green lit. In fact, it’s looking murkier than ever considering all the supposed beef between leads Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.

So what is Colleen and the It Ends With Us crew saying about the sequel? Here’s what you missed while trying to dissect the rumoured It Ends With Us drama.

Blake in It Ends With Us sequel It Starts With Us
Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni in It Ends With Us. Image: Sony

Does It Ends With Us have a sequel?

Colleen’s It Ends With Us book has a sequel called It Starts With Us.

While It Ends With Us follows the story of Lily Bloom trying to navigate a relationship that becomes abusive, It Starts With Us picks up where the last novel ended and focuses on Lily’s relationship with Atlas. (I’d go into further detail, but I don’t want to invite any spoiler backlash!)

The It Ends With Us book was released in 2016 and It Starts With Us came out in 2022.

it starts with us movie
It Starts With Us was released in 2022. Image: Simon & Schuster.

Justin, It Ends With Us director and lead actor, optioned the first novel back in 2019 — before It Starts With Us was even published.

Will there be an It Starts With Us movie?

A sequel is an obvious decision based on the huge box office success of It Ends With Us.

While in early August it appeared that no one had secured the rights for the It Starts With Us movie, The Hollywood Reporter is now reporting that Justin and Wayfarer Studios do have the rights for the sequel film.

If there was to be an It Ends With Us sequel off the back of the film’s success, it would be an obvious decision to keep the original cast including Blake as Lily, Justin as Ryle Kincaid, Brandon Sklenar as Atlas Corrigan and Jenny Slate as Alyssa Kincaid.

That being said, there have definitely been sequels that have deviated from the original casting (albeit usually awful).

But even if Justin was no longer in the role of Ryle or as the film director, a sequel involving Blake would mean the pair would still need to work together in some capacity. Because of this, there have been doubts over whether or not the film will go ahead.

What has Justin Baldoni said about an It Ends With Us Sequel?

Justin told Entertainment Tonight that he believes someone else should direct the sequel.

“I think that there are better people for that one,” he said. “I think Blake Lively’s ready to direct, that’s what I think.”

When asked whether or not he’d spoken to Colleen or Blake about a sequel, Justin admitted that he hadn’t.

“I haven’t. I have no idea what that story would be,” Baldoni told TV Insider at a press junket, noting that he’s trying to stay in the present.

“I’m just kind of doing my best to take this all in because it’s been five years to even get us here. So I can’t even fathom another story yet, but I’m so happy that fans love it and that she did it.”

What has Colleen Hover said about an It Starts With Us movie?

Author Colleen has definitely entertained the idea of a movie sequel.

“I think whoever decides to take charge of the next one would do it justice,” she told ET.

“I think they’re all in it for the right reasons, so I think that will be exciting. But it’s a lot of people to get the same schedules together again, so we’ll see.”

In regards to Blake coming on as director, the author said she’d “absolutely” be into that.

Considering It Ends With Us is all anyone’s talking about right now — and considering a lot of people want to see more of Atlas — we think a sequel could definitely be on the cards.

It Ends With Us is now in cinemas.

It Ends With Us’ Brandon Sklenar addresses online criticism of Blake Lively

The It Ends With Us drama has been dominating our algorithms for the past fortnight, moving from a rumoured rift between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni to an all-out public scrutiny of Blake’s promotional run. Now, costar Brandon Sklenar has addressed the criticism.

Taking to Instagram this week, Brandon released an online statement to discuss for “vilifying the women of this cast” is “counterproductive” to the film’s message.

Why are people criticising Blake Lively?

This month, Blake has been gradually dragged online for interviews, including one where she tells the audience to “wear their florals” for a film about domestic violence.

Old interviews have also been surfacing including one where she is rude to an interviewer and one where she makes a transphobic slur.

In one interview, the interviewer asks how those who personally resonate with It Ends With Us‘ themes can go about discussing it with Blake, to which she jokes about sharing her location or address alongside Brandon, who plays love interest Atlas Corrigan in It Ends With Us.

What did Brandon Sklenar’s statement say?

“I wanted to take a minute and address all this stuff swirling online,” 34-year-old Brandon wrote in an image uploaded to his Instagram account.

“The women of this cast stand for hope, perseverance, and for women choosing a better life for themselves,” he continued.

“Vilifying the women who put so much of their heart and soul into making this film because they believe so strongly in its message seems counterproductive and detracts from what this film is about.”

For weeks, rumours have been circling of creative differences between Blake, who plays lead actress Lily Bloom in It Ends With Us, and Justin, the director and also the lead actor playing the role of Ryle Kincaid.

When he was asked about an It Starts With Us movie — the It Ends With Us sequel — Justin suggested Blake as director.

“What may or may not have happened behind the scenes does not and hopefully should not detract from what our intentions were in making this film,” Brandon said.

“It’s been disheartening to see the amount of negativity being projected online.”

He called for people to stop spreading hate online and to remind themselves of the core message of the film.

“This movie is a harsh reality check for the men who need to get their shit together and take responsibility for themselves and their actions,” he wrote.

“Ultimately it’s meant to spread love and awareness. It is not meant to once again, make the women the ‘bad guy,’ let’s move beyond that together.”

It Ends With Us is in cinemas worldwide now.

The “powerful” Home and Away moment everyone’s talking about

Home and Away fans are praising the soap for the “powerful” portrayal of grief by actor Ethan Browne (Tane) on the show’s August 19 episode.

In the emotional scene, Tane mourns the loss of Felicity (played by Jaqui Purvis) following her shock death while performing the Haka.

Perri, played by Cantona Stewart, watches on in concern and heartbreak as Tane grieves Felicity.

Home and Away fans have been quick to share their thoughts on the episode, praising the scene along with Ethan’s acting and the inclusion of Maori culture.

Home and Away hair and makeup designer Laura Vazquez wrote, “So powerful, so beautiful. Felt every emotion in this scene,” on an Instagram post sharing the scene.

“Absolutely love that the Maori culture and traditions has been brought into the show. Such a beautiful culture,” another comment read.

“Finishing with the Haka was a perfect ending to the episode. And done with such pure emotion,” said another.

“Couldn’t stop crying watching this,” a commenter added.

Felicity collapsed at Cash and Eden’s engagement party during the August 12 episode. Felicity and Tane split late last year after Tane discovered she had been taking birth control pills behind his back.

At the engagement party, Felicity and Tane danced, flirted and instilled hope in viewers at home who have been rooting for their relationship. She then got blurred vision and collapsed before being taken to hospital.

The doctor declared she had suffered a brain aneurysm and she was eventually taken off life support on the August 19 episode.

When Home and Away producer Lucy Addario said we’d need tissues for this unexpected death, she wasn’t messing about.

Home and Away airs Monday – Thursday at 7:30pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.

Kate Miller-Heidke reveals which coach was “trigger happy” with The Voice buzzer

The Voice 2024 is set to premiere this August with Guy Sebastian, Kate Miller-Heidke, Adam Lambert and LeAnn Rimes leading the charge as coaches for the new season.

Apparently there’s one celebrity coach that got a little overexcited this season though, with fellow The Voice judge Kate labelling them as “trigger happy” with that big red button.

Adam Lambert was “trigger happy” on The Voice 2024

“Adam was super trigger happy,” Kate revealed in an exclusive interview with Chattr, explaining that he chewed up most of his singer positions within the first half of the blind auditions.

“He turned around for for so many people very early on in the filming and then he found himself with one spot left for, like the second half of the blinds,” Kate explained.

“He got a bit overexcited.”

On The Voice, four judges have traditionally gotten to choose 12 singers each. If they turn around for a contestant who chooses to be on their team in return, it means that one of their 12 positions have been filled.

What type of artists did Kate Miller-Heidke press the buzzer for?

Kate explained to Chattr that she turned around for moments that really struck her.

“You’re just listening to hear that one magic moment,” Kate explained to Chattr. “It’s such a cliche, but that magic moment in a song that gives you goosebumps or surprises you in some way.”

“Sometimes it’s really it can be hard to tell because a lot of people are struggling with nerves. It’s a deeply nerve-wracking experience to get up on that stage and you’re just waiting to hear that that kernel of something amazing.”

Kate met Adam and LeAnn for the first time on The Voice 2024

Kate revealed to Chattr that it was her first time meeting both LeAnn and Adam, the latter of which became one of her “favourite” people.

“They were both so lovely,” Kate explained of meeting Adam and LeAnn for the first time on The Voice.

“Leanne shot to superstardom when she was only 12 years old,” Kate recalled.

“She’s lived her entire life as a very famous person, but she’s still an artist to her core. She still takes the art and craft of singing really seriously and she’s so good at what she does.”

“And Adam, he’s lightning in a bottle. He’s just brilliant. He and I were sitting next to each other for the whole season, so we got to hang out and chat a lot.

“He is just one of my favourite people. He’s so funny and irreverent and kooky. He’s brilliant.”

Why did this just become the friendship we never knew we needed? Cute as hell.

The Voice airs on 7 and 7Plus from Monday, August 19.

FBoy Island recap: If ‘The Hot One’ isn’t an FBoy I want a refund

FBoy Island 2024 has landed and no one’s happier than me to see a big burning dick on the sand to kick off the Season 2 recaps.

fboy island season 2 episode 1 recap
burn motherfucker

This season we have three new leading ladies tasked with figuring out if the men vying for their love are FBoys or Nice Guys.

Choose wrong and they’ll be rorted out of the prize money.

fboy island season 2
this is fine

First we have Nicole, a model who is asking the bare minimum from a man: to be heard and not just seen.

see me hear me love me!

Krystal (who you remember from The Bachelors) is on the hunt for a “mid” — AKA a six of out 10 — because they’re fabulous at licking pussy.

where is the lie

Ally, our final leading lady, has dated “devil dick” — AKA Vernon Lyon from FBoy Island Season 1. She doesn’t even need to say his name.

I was younger then

Our host and saviour Abbie Chatfield is ready to introduce the ladies to the men of FBoy Island, but first they must finish the last leg of the 14-km City2Surf.

fboy island nicole
see you in 25 hours

First the boys are introduced to Nicole and it is immediately obvious that they have smelt model (and perfect underboob) because they cannot control their dick energy of varying sizes.

fboy island season 2
arooga

Next up is Krystal. She has placed second in City2Surf at two hours and 12 minutes, only to see a familiar face from the Gold Coast.

fboy island
omg is that the rando from Sin City

However, the guy she may or may not have rooted at Toolies isn’t the one she’s got her eyes set on. While she’s adamant about a mid who bothers to find the clit, she has instead chosen “the hot one”.

fboy island season 2
It is I, ‘The Hot One’

No, she literally called him that, in order to clarify that she’s not talking about this guy.

I lick pussy better than The Hot One tho

Ally places third for City2Surf, finishing at two hours and 19 minutes. She also has her eyes on The Hot One.

this should end well

The ladies and the men then head back to their respective villas where it becomes apparent that Frank has been declared as an FBoy by literally everyone.

Why? He was handsy with Krystal and… as for the guys? I think they just reckon he’s a toss.

Meanwhile, The Hot One has decided he likes Nicole the best.

fboy island season 2
The Hot Ones must stick together

Back at the women’s HQ, Abbie is getting to know the ladies better.

Ally confirms dirty dog Vernon dropped the L-word on her before going on a bender and blocking her.

that second bag will do it

Ally’s revenge? Implying to all of Australia he has a small dick.

that checks out

Krystal opens up about being the child of an FBoy. Her father cheated on her mum while she was pregnant with Krystal and now she feels like she has a responsibility to stop the chain.

We love Krystal and this is a powerful story. FBoys think their behaviour is funny but it actually can be really fucking traumatic. OK?

“My Fboy radar? Unmatched,” Krystal says.

fboy island season 2
not counting Felix Van Hofe

The bonfire

Once Jerome (the one who wears Crocs) shares that likes “licking ass” and “eating ass” (just like Flume), the FBoy Island crew head to a bonfire.

fboy island season 2
Cue Love Island montage

Krystal confirms she may have “sucked” off that guy from the Gold Coast but does not confirm if it was on Cavill Ave. Her memory is really failing her for someone who writes FBoy reminders in her notebook.

So far we know that the guy who wore a leather jacket on an island called her the wrong name and the guy who was on The Amazing Race isn’t sure if he wants to give up the single life.

We also know that everyone’s obsessed with Nicole, even though we all know she is going to choose The Hot One.

as per my last email, I would like to be heard

Sadly The Hot One is also The Dense One because he tells a woman wearing a full face of makeup that she’s a “natural beauty”.

fboy island season 2
lol this is makeup

Nicole reminds him of the makeup she is wearing, while looking at him with the same eyes lined with eyeliner and shaded with glitter.

“Doesn’t look like it,” he responds. Does this man think we came out of the womb looking like Mila Kunis in her Black Swan era?

you’re telling me those diamantes under your eyes aren’t permanent?

Someone open their TikTok and show this man a GRWM.

Thankfully another man named Nick takes over and he knows the word “intrinsic” so please, do not be fooled by his earlier peck pumping.

I brought my thesaurus

Krystal, who was once on The Bachelors, has taken a liking to Paddy, who was once on The Bachelorette.

“Paddy, he isn’t the hottest,” Krystal says and my heart breaks from him watching this back right now.

fboy island season 2
which means you’ll be fab at going down

Krystal can sense an anaconda in those pants so she gives him a pash with so much tongue it requires a KFC wet clean up towel.

slurp

“I love how you played with my tongue,” he tells her and I may just vomit on my television screen.

da fuq u just say

In other areas of the party, a man with tatoos decides to dry-root Nicole’s foot and Frank is trying to convince Krystal he’s a nice guy because his ex slept with his mate behind his back.

That doesn’t make you a nice guy, it just means you have fucked friends.

fboy island season 2
nice try

It’s time to choose who the ladies will be taking on their first dates.

Nicole chooses Jack (the man who can both use big words and pop his pecks), Krystal chooses Frank (to try and determine his FBoy status once and for all) and Ally goes for The Hot One (The Christian Who Has Sex Before Marriage AKA The Man Who Thinks Women Were Born With Eyeliner).

fboy island season 2
you lack common sense but as long as you fuck before nuptials we’re good

The first dates

Ally is wet. She’s dickmatised by The Hot One’s past four-year relationship and ability to talk nicely about his ex.

a man who doesn’t talk shit about his ex? Rare find!!!

Then he slips his tongue in like the good Christian boy he is.

forgive me father for I have sinned

Meanwhile, Krystal is embracing her inner Cavill Ave by sharing a vodka cruiser with Frank after making him run around a sunflower garden naked.

we love preemptive revenge

Nicole and Jack jetski, talk about how much they like each other and then slip their tongues in both on dry land and in the sea.

we are so intrinsic rn bby

We finish off our dates portion of the episode by Ally finding out that The Hot One liked Nicole first and would like to still get to know her considering he’s known Ally a full three minutes.

But she was born with eye glitter!

Ally cries.

The elimination

The girls have taken to their directors chairs for their first FBoy Island elimination.

A bunch of people we hardly know are up for elimination, plus Frank, that foot fucker, The Hot One (!!!) and that Jake dude who you recognise from The Amazing Race. Sadly The Amazing Race dude already left (probably to go on another reality TV show).

enjoy Love Is Blind

Only the foot fucker and Jin leave. Jin is the one who told Nicole she was stunning. Sorry, that didn’t narrow it down, did it?

This is Jin

Jin and his slutty ankles are an Fboy but the dry foot fucker is a Nice Guy!

I’ll never dry root a foot again

One down, many to go. I’ll be writing FBoy Island Season 2 recaps the entire season so I’ll see you here next Monday but until then, you can follow me on Instagram.

Everything you need to know about FBoy Island Season 2

FBoy Island Australia is coming back for Season Two and finally we’ve got the deets we’ve been waiting for — a trailer, release date and even our leading ladies.

Keep reading for everything we know so far about FBOY Island Season Two, including a familiar face as part of the leading ladies, one hell of a packed trailer, where the show’s filmed and more.

Here’s everything we know about FBoy Island Australia 2024.

Is there an FBoy Island Season Two trailer?

Sure is! And let me tell you, FBoy Island Season Two looks like it will D-E-L-I-V-E-R. Do I spy Abbie Chatfield telling someone off? Do I spy a Bachie contestant (more on that below)? Keen!!!

The official trailer follows a few teases we’ve copped this month, including one where Abbie asks why Limbro is open.

(For the uninitiated, Limbro is where naughty FBOYs are sent to repent after they’re eliminated.)

Could Abbie asking “Who left it open?” mean that some of the FBoysfrom Season One are returning in Season Two? Could Vernon Lyon be back for another round?

You can watch it below.

Who is in the FBoy Island Season Two cast?

The FBoys and Nice Guys for Season Two have just been announced and they include some reality TV alumni! See the FBoy Island men, including one block from Bachelor In Paradise and one from Amazing Race Australia.

will be made up of just yet. There’s a decent taste of what we’re in for thanks to the trailer above, though. I don’t think they’re going to disappoint.

Who are FBoy Island Australia’s leading ladies?

Australia, meet Krystal Thomas, Ally Woodfall and Nicole Mitrov.

From left to right: Ally Woodfall, Krystal Thomas, Nicole Mitrov. Image: BINGE.

Krystal has experience navigating FBoys — you might remember her as a The Bachelors contestant where she dated Felix Van Hofe.

Nicole is a model and Ally is Vernon‘s ex.

Who will host FBOY Island Season Two?

Abbie will return as host of FBoy Island Australia after nailing the job for Season One.

fboy island season two abbie chatfield
Literally the best host choice for this show. Image: BINGE.

Not only has she been on a reality dating show before as runner-up for Matt Agnew‘s The Bachelor season, but she also knows when to call out people for being shitty.

In Abbie we trust.

What can we expect from FBOY Island Season Two?

Host Abbie explained that while fans can expect drama again this season, the sophomore season will be different from the first.

fboy island season two cast
FBOY Island Season Two’s leading ladies with host Abbie. Image: BINGE.

“This season is as drama-filled but in really different ways,” Chatfield told Daily Telegraph earlier this year.

“The stories along the way are way more complex and I think the three leading women did such an amazing job at supporting each other, really doing detective work and being steadfast.

“They had some hard conversations with each other along the way as well, which I think is what real friendship is all about.”

FBOY Island Season Two release date

The official FBOY Island Season Two release date is August 5, 2024. Pencil it in! It will air every Monday for nine weeks.

Which FBOY Island Season One couples are still together?

In Season One, Molly O’Halloran, Ziara Rae and Sophie Blackley attempted to navigate their way through the FBOYs and find true love.

FBOY Island leads and their final picks. Image: BINGE.

Molly and Ziara both snagged “nice guys” in Nick Brown and Izaya Leota respectively. And they’re still with their chosen picks!

Meanwhile, Sophie chose Joshy Allen, even though he was revealed to be an FBoy. They split up shortly after.

How to watch FBoy Island Australia

FBOY Island Australia streams exclusively on streaming service BINGE from August 5. You can watch everyone episode of Season One now.

Where is FBoy Island Australia filmed?

Sadly (or gladly?) there is no actual FBoy Island on Google Maps. FBoy Island Australia is filmed in a place called Casaurina which is 150km south to south east of Brisbane.

It’s a good day for The Boys fans because the show’s getting a spinoff

Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys is getting a prequel spinoff called Vought Rising which is great news for fans who were bummed about Season 5 ending.

The Boys spinoff was announced during a panel presentation at San Diego Comic-Con. Supernatural‘s Jensen Ackles (Soldier Boy) and Aya Cash (Stormfront) will feature in the new prequel series.

Here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming The Boys spinoff, Vought Rising.

What is The Boys spinoff Vought Rising about?

Vought Rising is “a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 1950s”, according to the official The Boys Instagram page.

“Vought Rising may or may not feature the very first Herogasm, founded in 1952,” the post added about The Boys spinoff.

For the uninitiated, Herogasm is a yearly festival where superheroes engage in a bunch of sexual activity. A selling point for the new spinoff if I ever did hear one!

Vought Rising will also follow “the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical manoeuvres of a ‘Supe’ known to fans as Stormfront, who was then going by the name Clara Vought”, according to executive producers Eric Kripke and Paul Grellong‘s statement (shared by news.com.au).

“We cannot wait to blow your minds and trouble your souls with this salacious, grisly saga drenched in blood and Compound V.”

This will be the third The Boys spinoff.

The Boys Season 5 will be the last

During the San Diego Comic-Con panel, it was also revealed that Jensen will play a major role in The Boys Season 5 and that a relationship between Soldier Boy and Homelander will be further explored.

The Boys Season 4 premiered in June 2024 and it was recently confirmed that Season 5 would be its last.

Just before the highly anticipated premiere of Season 4 in June, Eric Kripke (the mastermind behind the show), announced that Season 5 would be the final season.

“SEE YOU FOR OUR FINAL SEASON, MOTHERF***ERS!” the tweet read.

“From the very beginning, I wanted to wrap it out around season five,” Kripke told The Hollywood Reporter.

“And then I would say plans really solidified that we were going to actually do it years ago.

“It might have been because I was trained as a TV writer and there were five acts,” he added.

“It gives you enough time to get to know the characters… It’s about the characters and then you kick off into a climax.”

End of an era! At least now we have The Boys spinoff to look forward to, huh?

The Boys is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.

Harry Garside shares an important realisation following his Olympics elimination

Harry Garside has shared a heartfelt message on social media after missing out on the gold medal he was gunning for at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Overnight Australian time, Harry was eliminated in the first round of the men’s 63.5kg class. He won a bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games and had been hoping to score a gold in Paris.

In a post-match interview that personally broke my heart watching at home, Harry apologised to his home country and revealed that times ahead will be tough for him.

Harry Garside’s disappointment over his Paris 2024 Olympics outcome

“It is crazy… two decades dedicated to one dream and it is over just like that,” Harry told Nine.

“Australia is such a sporting nation and I’m so sorry. Honestly, I feel like a failure right now … I don’t even know what to say,” he added.

“Deep down inside I fear for what the next couple of months look like for myself. I’m sure there’ll be some dark times. I’ve just got to prepare for that now.”

Harry’s heartfelt realisation

Harry has taken to social media following his Olympics outcome to share how he’s feeling after some time to process and we’re glad to see him looking a bit more optimistic.

Sharing that he’s been “beating himself up for a couple of hours” over the events before coming to a “realisation”.

“I had this realisation that I wanted a two-decade journey to try and get that gold medal. And yes, I didn’t get that gold medal but I became my own friend in that journey,” Harry reflected.

Harry continued to explain that his self-worth was low at the beginning of the journey and now he feels like he has the relationship with himself to manage his inner-critic.

“Over the last three years, I really worked hard and trying to build my self-worth and trying to grow and evolve and be kind to myself more often. In that, I don’t get success, but I’d rather be my friend and have no success.”

Harry then got emotional as he went on to share his hopes of becoming a dad one day.

“Being a dad and not passing on negative things to my kids is really important to me. So I’m really happy that the two-decade journey wasn’t for nothing,” Harry finished.

Absolutely sensational human that the whole of Australia is cheering on right now, gold medal or not.

You can watch the Paris 2024 Olympics on 9 and 9Now. Harry Garside also appeared on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2023 which you can watch on 10Play.

Neighbours costars honour Janet Andrewartha following the news of her death

Australian actor Janet Andrewartha — known fondly as Lyn Scully on soap Neighbours — has died. She was 72.

Neighbours announced the passing of Janet on their social media channels, sharing that the cast and crew of the television show are “deeply saddened”.

According to Herald Sun, Janet died peacefully on Friday with her daughters, Sarah and Eloise, by her side.

Janet also played Reb Keane in Prisoner: Cell Block H, and more recently appeared in Safe Home on SBS and the Logie-nominated Paramount+ drama Fake starring Asher Keddie.

Neighbours costars share tributes for Janet Andrewartha

In the social media post announcing Janet’s passing, Neighbours cast member Jackie Woodburne (who plays Susan Kennedy) remembered Janet as “an extraordinary woman” who she will miss.

“Janet was one of the finest actors of her generation, but more than that, she was an extraordinary woman,” Jackie said in the Neighbours post.

“Passionate, political, curious, delightfully eccentric, generous and fun. To me she was a steadfast friend for over 45 years. I will miss her every day.”

Stefan Dennis (who plays Paul Robinson) commented on the post to echo Jackie’s words.

“So very upset to lose the lovely Janet,” Stefan wrote. “As Jackie said, she truly was an exceptional actress who was a pleasure work with and to be around. We will all miss you dear girl.”

Lucinda Cowden (who plays Melanie Pearson), remembered Janet’s impact in her role as Reb Keane in Prisoner: Cell Block H.

“I remember when I first saw her on Prisoner … she lit up the screen, and continued to grace us with her exceptional talent in so many interesting and unique characters,” Lucinda wrote. “Vale Janet.”

Holly Vallance (who played Felicity Scully, the daughter of Lyn) shared her heartbreak on X (formerly known as Twitter).

“She was a superb human being who taught me so much from the age of 15. I’ll treasure her last trip to the UK forever,” Holly wrote.

The pair caught up late last year.

“Precious memories I’m so grateful for. A beautiful, talented, hilarious & kind woman.

“I’m so glad it was you who played my Mum. You were the real deal. Made us feel safe. And looked after us when we were all so young in the industry. It was an honour to work beside you and call you a friend.”

Carla Bonner (who played Steph Scully, Lyn’s daughter) shared an image of a candle overnight to her Instagram Stories saying, “I will miss you forever.”

Ada Nicodemou confirms her “lovely” relationship with costar James Stewart

Ada Nicodemou has officially confirmed that she is dating her Home and Away costar James Stewart and we couldn’t be happier for the pair.

“Jimmy and I are together, yes,” Ada said in an interview with Stellar magazine that was published over the weekend.

“At 47, you know what you want and what you don’t. It’s only early days,” Ada continued.

“It’s very recent and very unexpected. I’m super happy. It’s really lovely.”

This is huge news for Home and Away fans as the rumours of the pair’s romance first started swirling in May after photos of Ada and James kissing emerged.

It was following the April announcement of Ada’s split from Adam Rigby. Ada and Adam were together for eight years.

James, 48, finalised his divorce from former Home And Away star Sarah Roberts in March. The pair were together for five years.

Were Ada and James together while shooting their wedding scene?

Ada and James play husband and wife on Home and Away as their characters Leah Patterson and Justin Morgan. In fact, the pair filmed wedding scenes for the soap last year and the episode itself aired in April.

Prior to Ada’s confirmation of their relationship, The Sunday Telegraph reported that she was spotted kissing James at a Seven Network Christmas party last year.

That being said, Ada shut down any rumours that she was involved with James during shooting.

“There weren’t genuine feelings then,” Ada explained.

The couple’s characters got married earlier this year. Image: Seven.

“It was shot last year. But I think whenever you’re watching any TV couple, you’re always wondering if they really do have feelings.

“We’ve always respected each other. We’ve known each other since [1998 soap opera] Breakers. Jimmy is an amazing actor,” she added.

“I’ve loved working with him for five years and I think our scenes are great. I always like going to work — we push ourselves, and push each other, in a really good way.”

As someone who’s watched Ada’s character, Leah, lose Vinnie (Ryan Kwanten) all those years ago, I’m happy for her. And for Ada too!

MAFS’ Eden says Jayden lying about *that* confession still “baffles” her to this day

Remember when Jayden Eynaud told Eden Harper during Married At First Sight’s confessions week that he slept with his ex’s best friend while she watched? It was truly shocking television in every sense of the word.

The shock quickly turned to confusion when a woman claiming to be Jayden’s ex-girlfriend told PEDESTRIAN.TV that his confession was a lie, though. Why — WHY — would you lie about something like… that?

It’s something that still baffles Jayden’s TV bride Eden, who admitted to Chattr that she found out it was a lie “during MAFS airing” like everyone else.

That’s a lot of months to be kept in the dark. Keep reading to see what Eden had to say about Jayden’s confession lie.

Jayden told Eden he slept with his ex’s best friend after finding out she cheated on him. Image: Nine.

How did Eden feel when Jayden told her that confession?

Even though it seemed like Jayden’s confession was quickly forgotten about by viewers, Eden revealed that the whole thing really changed things for the relationship.

“When I first experienced the confession letter in real life, I had only known Jayden a few weeks,” Eden told Chattr.

“It was hard at the time as I really liked him. Prior to finding out I trusted him 100 per cent and but that trust was completely shattered,” she continued.

“It made me question and overthink everything he ever said from that day on.

“So as much as I did make the choice to forgive him, the trust was subconsciously broken and I wouldn’t have been the best version of myself in the relationship from then on.”

How did Eden feel watching Australia’s reaction to Jayden’s confession?

Eden says that having to watch the confession on television was difficult, especially because of how much their relationship had grown outside the experiment in that time.

“Reliving the story all over again when it aired was really hard for me as by that point I’d been with the guy for seven-to-eight months and was completely in love.

“It was tough seeing everyone’s opinions and they way people spoke about him online.”

Eden was upset when she found out Jayden’s MAFS confession. Image: Nine.

How did Eden find out Jayden’s confession was a lie?

While Australia found out about the lie within 24 hours of the episode airing, Eden thought it was true for months — up until Jayden himself admitted it was false.

“The day after it aired, his ex-girlfriend had come out and claimed the story was false,” Eden recalled.

“After that, he did admit to me that it didn’t happen.

“It made me really angry to be honest — angry at him for putting me through that and putting his ex through that and for sharing it on national television.

“It honestly made me so angry that if I wanted to be with him, I really had to choose to forgive him for it and never bring it up again, which is the choice I made.”

Eden and Jayden announced their breakup in April 2024. Image: Nine.

She’s a stronger woman than me! Jayden and Eden announced their break up just after MAFS 2024 stopped airing.

As for why Jayden would make up a story that doesn’t necessarily make him look great of national (and later international) television, Eden hinted she’d probably never know.

“It baffles me to this day why anyone would make that up,” she explained to Chattr.

“I couldn’t get a straight answer from him as to why, just lots of different reasons and blaming other people which didn’t make any sense.”

Jayden was accused of lying during home visits week as well.

It’s situations like this that make me want to study the human mind.

House of the Dragon fans are wigging out over this incest scene

House of the Dragon has once again shocked its viewers with confronting footage and this time it’s kept it in the family with an incest scene. Yes, you read that right.

Although it’s a storyline we’ve seen before in the Game of Thrones universe and George R.R Martin‘s work in general, viewers of the hit show have some thoughts about the latest House of the Dragon incest scene where a character imagined having sex with his mother.

While it’s almost expected from the same show that shocked viewers with a confronting blowjob scene earlier this month, I can understand the confused reaction from the general public when it comes to the House of the Dragon incest scene in question.

Whether you’re a regular viewer of House of the Dragon or not, one thing’s for sure: this scene is so uncomfortable to watch (which you can do below at your own risk):

What happens in the incest scene with Daemon’s mother?

The footage shows Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) having a very sensual dream about his mother, Alyssa Targaryen (Emeline Lambert).

“Daemon, you were always the strong one. The finest swordsman. The fearless dragon rider,” Alyssa tells her son as he… goes down on her.

house of the dragon incest scene daemon mother
Keep your head where I can see it! Image: House of the Dragon.

At one point, she says, “If only you’d been born first, my favourite son.”

This was the first appearance viewers have seen of Daemon’s mother as she passed away during childbirth complications.

For the uninitiated, Daemon is also married to his own niece Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy). In this House of the Dragon episode, the visions he has of his mother are sent by witch Alys Rivers (Gayle Rankin) to wig him out.

One person questioned the point of the scene including Daemon’s mother, labelling it as “so cringe, disgusting and absolutely unnecessary” on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Daemon snap out of it! Eating thy mother’s box was not on my bingo card for this episode,” another wrote.

Heavens to Betsy.

If you want to see what went down for yourself (no judgement), then you can stream The House of Dragon on BINGE.

Shannen Doherty’s publicist confirmed the news

“It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the passing of actress Shannen Doherty,” Shannen’s longtime publicist, Leslie Sloane, confirmed in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE.

“On Saturday, July 13, she lost her battle with cancer after many years of fighting the disease.

“The devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend was surrounded by her loved ones as well as her dog, Bowie.

“The family asks for their privacy at this time so they can grieve in peace,” the statement continued.

Costars mourn Shannen Doherty’s death

Shannen’s costars and friends have been taking to social media to grieve following the news of her death.

Rose McGowan, who starred in Charmed following Shannen’s departure from the hit show, remembered her friend as a “soft-hearted badass” with the “heart of a lion”.

You can read the full tribute below.

Jennie Garth starred in Beverly Hills, 90210 with Shannen, both in the original version of the series and the 90210 reboot which started airing in 2008.

“I am still processing my tremendous grief over the loss of my long-time friend Shannen, the woman I have often described as one of the strongest people I have ever known,” Jennie wrote alongside photos of the pair from their early Beverly Hills, 90210 days.

Shenae Grimes-Beech, who played Annie Wilson in the 90210 reboot alongside Shannen, shared her tribute on Instagram Reels.

“To the icon, the legend, the take-no-sh!t WARRIOR of a woman, Shannen Doherty… thank you for inspiring me in more ways than I can bring myself to put into words right now,” Shenae wrote alongside a video she posted to Instagram.

“You paved the way and it was an absolute privilege and honour to follow in your footsteps.”

Tori Spelling wrote “I don’t have outward words yet… but we KNEW and that’s what matters” to her Instagram Stories alongside a selfie of her and Shannen.

Shannen Doherty cause of death

Shannen was diagnosed with breast cancer almost a decade ago. She confirmed the news in August 2015 when she was aged 44.

“Yes, I have breast cancer, and I am currently undergoing treatment,” the actress said in a statement to PEOPLE at the time.

Two years later Shannen went into remission but announced in 2020 that the cancer had returned as Stage 4. It was made public in court documents that her cancer was terminal, as reported by TODAY.

Shannen underwent brain surgery in 2023 following the cancer metastasising to her bones and brain.

Shannen had been open and honest about her condition in her ‘Let’s Be Clear’ podcast, sharing that earlier treatment protocols were no longer working.

Our thoughts are with Shannen’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.

One social media post has caused uproar between the MAFS cast

The Married At First Sight 2024 drama is still in full force with Sara Mesa and Lauren Dunn calling out MAFS groom Tim Calwell for his latest Instagram Reel.

But now the rest of the MAFS cast have gotten involved, as they do, and the word ‘drama’ just doesn’t cut it.

Keep reading to catch up on everything from start to finish.

What did Tim post on Instagram?

Tim shared a video to his 111,000 Instagram followers which featured Tim doing activities with his new girlfriend, Barbara Griebeler, attending a few appointments and showing a car with a sign reading, “WARNING! 100% BITCH”.

“This car reminds me of someone,” Tim’s voiceover said.

Sara, who was fake-married to Tim during the experiment, took to Instagram Stories to express her frustration.

What Sara said about Tim’s reel

“If my partner put a video of us doing cute things together on the internet for the world to see and then subliminally took a dig at his ex-girlfriend, I would be livid. Livid,” Sara said in her Instagram Stories.

sara mesa mafs tim calwell
Sara took to Instagram Stories to air her thoughts about Tim’s reel. Image: @saramessy

“I hope that she’s still okay that you mentioned me in there, regardless of whether it’s calling me ‘100% Bitch’. Don’t you think that it’s time to move on and give her that respect as well?” Sara asked.

Sara also suggested that there was a side of Tim not shown on MAFS Season 11.

“That reel that you made including me is giving insecure and that is the man that you showed to me the whole time on the show. And I really wish that people could have seen that side.”

What Lauren had to say about Tim’s reel

Sara’s MAFS bestie, Lauren, also entered the chat in her own Q&A on Instagram Stories.

lauren dunn mafs 2024
Lauren entered the chat to call Tim out for using the word “Bitch”. Source: @lauren_funn_

“Do these men not get it? We just don’t call women bitches in 2024,” Lauren said.

“The men in our season, they just weren’t it. They just don’t understand society and what’s acceptable and what’s not acceptable,” she continued.

“Just a lack of intelligence and I can’t argue with stupid people.”

Lauren also noted that she was sent the video because she doesn’t follow Tim.

What Tim had to say about his reel

Speaking to Yahoo Lifestyle!, Tim said that he didn’t mention anyone specifically.

“I didn’t actually mention anyone at all! It seems like everyone is projecting their own thoughts onto my reel,” he told Yahoo Lifestyle!

“I like talking about my life experiences, regardless of if that chapter in my life is closed. MAFS is certainly a unique experience and I’ll likely keep sharing mine.”

What the MAFS cast are saying about the post

When the account @sodramaticpodcast_ posted Sara’s Instagram Story on their own page, fellow MAFS 2024 cast member Eden Harper entered the chat.

tim calwell instagram reel mafs

“So Sara can call Cass [Allen] a c****, Lauren call Jono [McCullough] a snake, dog, c*** (to name a few),” Eden wrote in the comments section.

“But that’s funny and lighthearted… It’s only unacceptable and wrong when Tim does it? The double standards are laughable.”

MAFS intruder Michael Felix added, “Louder for the people in the back” and Jono wrote, “Double standard queens.”

When asked by Chattr what her thoughts are about Sara and Lauren calling out Tim’s behaviour, she made it clear that what Tim said was “inappropriate”.

“I don’t think there was any malicious intent from Tim, but it’s definitely important for him to understand that using that kind of language is inappropriate and can be really damaging,” Eden told Chattr.

“However, I also believe that Lauren and Sara need to take some accountability for the name calling, insults, and bullying behaviour that they constantly demonstrate themselves.”

What do Lauren and Sara think about their cast’s comments?

In response to the “double standards” claims of her cast mates, Sara argued that “two wrongs don’t make a right”.

“Just because I did wrong doesn’t mean that Tim gets a hall pass for alluding to calling me a bitch,” Sara told Chattr.

“I apologised to Cassandra,” Sara added, in response to calling her the C word.

“That is the only time I use vulgar language to someone. And I would never do that publicly on the internet for the world to see.”

Lauren responded to the comments from her MAFS cast mates in a follow-up video on Instagram.

“I was the queen of the insult. I understand that. The purpose of what we’re talking about is men with a platform perpetuating language that is violent to women.”

MAFS continue to deliver lessons in what’s acceptable even without them all on our screens, no John Aiken required.

Will Ferrell was “so embarrassed” by his real name growing up

As with many celebrities you see and hear about, Will Ferrell is not actually the Stepbrothers actor’s real name.

In fact, Ferrell rarely gets addressed by his real name and would get “so embarrassed” if it was ever brought up.

In celebration of Anchorman‘s 20th anniversary, Ferrel joined his costar Christina Applegate and Jamie-Lynn Sigler (Big Sky) on their MeSsy podcast, where he discussed his legal name.

will ferrell real name
“It wasn’t my choice,” Will said on his legal name. Image: FOX Searchlight

What is Will Ferrell’s real name?

Ferrell’s legal name is John William Ferrell.

Discussing his youth with Applegate, Ferrell mentioned that he was able to make friends easily thanks to “being funny”.

However, he mentioned that the start of every school year could be quite embarrassing for him thanks to his real name rearing its head.

“This is a minor thing in terms of — it’s not really even trauma — but I remember feeling so embarrassed because my real name is John, John William Ferrell, so first day of school, I’d be John,” Ferrel recalled on the podcast.

“The teacher would be like ‘John Ferrell?’ and it was so embarrassing to me to have to say ‘Here, but I go by Will, I don’t go by John.’ “

Does Ferrell ever use his real first name?

Ferrell noted it took a while for his teachers to remember that he actually went by Will and not John, which was “excruciating”.

He also explained that kids at school would ask about his name after hearing him correct the teachers.

“I don’t know why that was so embarrassing to me to have to explain ‘I’m actually Will’,” he said.

“My parents named [me] John but they called me Will. I grew up as Will, but on a rule sheet, my legal name is John Ferrell.”

Ferrell told Applegate that he doesn’t like his legal name because it wasn’t his “choice”.

To be fair, I know a few people who’ve gone by their middle name their whole lives.

If you’re keen to love some lamp after reading this, you can watch Anchorman on Stan.

This podcast host reckons Eric Stonestreet is the worst guest she’s ever had

If you think that Cam from Modern FamilyEric Stonestreet — is likely the loveliest person in the world, podcast host Taylor Strecker‘s firsthand opinion of the actor is here to shake things up.

During an episode of Amazon Live’s In Bed With Paige DeSorbo (if you don’t listen to her Giggly Squad podcast with Hannah Berner, you should), Strecker did not hold back on her experience with the Modern Family star.

eric stonestreet modern family
Well, this should be interesting! Image: Modern Family

“Who’s the worst guest you’ve ever had on your podcast?” DeSorbo asked Strecker, who is the host of the Taste of Taylor podcast.

Unfazed, Strecker dropped Stonestreet’s name like the hot tea it is.

“He’s [Cameron Tucker] from Modern Family, and he’s like the chubby, jolly, sweet, funny one,” Strecker clarified when DeSorbo didn’t recognise the name.

“Could he be anything but… nasty!”

Strecker explained she quickly learned he was on her podcast to promote none other than Pepto-Bismol.

For the uninitiated, Pepto-Bismol is an anti-diarrhoea medication that’s a staple in American households but not available in Australia.

“I didn’t know!” Strecker explained.

Why was Eric Stonestreet her “worst” guest?

“So we’re chatting away, and I’m being my adorable self, and then he hits me with, ‘So when are we gonna talk about Pepto-Bismol?’”

Trying to roll with it, Strecker joked, “I have hemorrhoids. I’m the queen of diarrhea. I love Pepto-Bismol! We can talk about whatever you want.”

That was when she explained that things got a little sassy, if you will.

“And he said to me — and I quote — ‘Somebody didn’t do their homework.,” Strecker recalled.

As someone who interviews people in media regularly, that’s a pretty rough thing to hear.

“I said, ‘I’m sorry. Am I getting paid by Pepto-Bismol? No. So that’s your job to figure out, not mine.”

You know when people are relaying a story and it’s unclear if they actually said that thing or just thought it in response? I really hope she said that to him for the popcorn value alone.

It’s understood that the podcast appearance was likely around the time of his 2011 partnership with Pepto-Bismol for a Feeding America campaign.

I’d love to know the thoughts of whoever was the Pepto-Bismol publicist at the time. You know what they say? There are 17 sides to every story.

Modern Family streams on Disney+ if you want to watch it back with fresh eyes. Nab a subscription here.

Chelsea Handler roasts Sam Taunton over Margot Robbie pregnancy joke

Esteemed US comedian Chelsea Handler told The Project host Sam Taunton exactly how she felt about the Margot Robbie pregnancy joke he made and it wasn’t pretty.

Rumours quickly spread yesterday that Robbie and her partner, Tom Ackerley, were expecting their first child after paparazzi shots of the actress sporting an exposed stomach surfaced.

As Australia’s golden girl, it’s no surprise that Robbie’s reported pregnancy with Ackerley was a topic of conversation on the entertainment news program, The Project.

What was the Margot Robbie pregnancy joke?

“I’ve seen the Barbie movie by the way,” Taunton said. “It’s going to have to be a C-section.”

The joke didn’t immediately land with his cohosts, who started asking what he meant.

“About her in the Barbie movie?” he continued.

“What do you mean?” cohost Georgie Tunny asked.

“She doesn’t have a… [vagina],” Taunton finished.

What did Chelsea Handler say to Sam Taunton?

Later in The Project episode, which aired Monday, June 8, Handler joined the desk to promote her upcoming comedy tour titled ‘Little Big Bitch’.

“Before you get started, I want to touch on your Barbie joke,” Handler told Taunton.

“How can you even make a joke like that when you know a comedian is coming on the show? That’s humiliating for both of us,” she roasted him.

“It was a really bad joke. I felt so bad for you.”

Obviously aware of the cringe-worthy joke, Taunton told Handler that he was hoping it would never be brought up again.

“I had to,” Handler replied.

Sarah Harris and Tunny looked visibly uncomfortable as the exchange was happening, but also like they were low-key loving it. Who doesn’t love a good roast of their mate?

While it was definitely a case of two comedians joking with one another, it’s got to hurt to be schooled by someone so iconic on national television!

Handler’s tour kicks off in Melbourne Tuesday, July 9, and will also stop in Brisbane and Sydney. Buy tickets here.

We can officially confirm when the MasterChef Australia 2024 finale will air

MasterChef Australia 2024 has been a j-o-u-r-n-e-y, and now that we’re finally at the tail end of the season, we can confirm when the finale will air.

Throughout the season we’ve had impressive celebrity appearances, like Jamie Oliver and Curtis Stone, as well as some seriously drool-worthy dishes.

While this season’s been nothing short of spectacular, like all good things, it must come to an end.

Will Nat be in the MasterChef Australia finale

When is the MasterChef Australia 2024 finale on?

With just five contestants remaining, next week will see the competition enter Finals Week.

As per usual, the remaining Home Cooks will be whittled down until just three two are left to battle it out in the season’s final episode.

Channel 10 has confirmed to Chattr that this season’s MasterChef Australia finale will air on Tuesday, 16 July.

Who’s still in the competition?

At the time of writing, five contestants are still in the running for the MasterChef Australia 2024 finale.

Nat, Mimi, Josh ‘Pezza’ Perry, Harry and Sav will all take part in Finals Week in the hope of taking out the competition.

Harry on MasterChef

What is the MasterChef Australia 2024 prize?

The last standing contestant will, of course, receive bragging rights, as well as a whopping $250,000 cash prize. They’ll also (probably) gain a blue tick on Instagram. Winning!

What will happen during the MasterChef Australia Finals Week?

The episode that airs on Sunday July 7, will see one of the remaining five contestants eliminated. They will face off with some of the world’s most extreme ingredients and must select one ingredient to tame.

On Monday, the top four will tackle their final mystery box of the season. Under each mystery box is a golden ticket, and the winner of the challenge will be the first home cook to secure their place in the MasterChef Australia semi-final.

In the final challenge of the week on Tuesday, fish king Josh Niland will set a three-hour pressure test that will push everyone to their limits. Which seafood aficionado Harry will probably be excited about (if he makes it past Sunday’s elim ep).

The MasterChef Australia 2024 Finale will air on Tuesday, 16 July on Channel 10 and 10Play at 7:30pm.

Baby Reindeer almost cast this well-known name as Martha

Jessica Gunning wowed audiences around the world with her groundbreaking portrayal of Martha in the Netflix sensation Baby Reindeer.

However, news has just surfaced that there was another name in the mix for the role and I’m not sure how to feel about it.

According to a report by Variety, a source has claimed that agents for creator Richard Gadd (who also wrote and starred in Baby Reindeer as himself) “pushed aggressively” for Melissa McCarthy to play the leading role of Martha.

Can you imagine?

McCarthy reportedly wasn’t interested in the role

While McCarthy is known for her comedic roles such as her ones in Bridesmaids, The Heat and more, she has also shown her depth and more serious side in other roles such as Can You Ever Forgive Me? in 2018.

“A knowledgeable source says McCarthy met Gadd about the role but ultimately wasn’t interested,” the Variety report said.

“Those familiar with the production say Gadd micromanaged casting and fired his CAA agents after they and Netflix pushed aggressively for Melissa McCarthy to be cast as Martha.”

I don’t doubt that McCarthy would’ve been phenomenal in the role of Martha just like she nails every other character she’s portrayed, but Gunning’s casting was so perfect it’s hard to imagine the shoes being filled by anyone else.

Honestly, the way she brought so many layers to such a complex character was incredible.

About Baby Reindeer

Baby Reindeer has been met with high acclaim since the seven-episode series premiered on Netflix in April 2024.

Fiona Harvey (the woman claiming to be the real-life Martha) has since accused Gadd of lying in a tell-all interview with Piers Morgan.

Harvey has filed a $255 million lawsuit against Netflix, suing for defamation, negligence, intentional infliction of emotional distress and more.

You can stream every episode of Baby Reindeer on Netflix (if you haven’t already).

House of the Dragon fans shocked by blowjob scene

You know what they say: oral sex sells. OK, maybe that’s not quite it, but the gobby scene in the latest episode of House of the Dragon sure is getting people talking about the hit show.

The Game of Thrones spinoff has shocked viewers of Season 2, Episode 3 thanks to a massive penis (or schlong, wang, meat slapper for the more fun among you) alongside a spot of confronting blowjob activity.

It happened around halfway through the episode, which I know not from watching (it’s on my list) but because of how wild the internet’s going over it.

So how does a bit of head happen mid-episode, you ask? Well, King Aegon II Targaryen (Tom Glynn-Carney) treated his soldiers to a cheeky night out at a brothel — as you do — following many drinks.

When they rock up to said brothel, King Aegon opens a set of curtains to reveal a bunch of people getting jiggy with it.

The first curtain? A rather large penis. In a mouth. In front of all of our salads.

In case you were wondering: it’s been widely reported that the penis in question was a prosthetic one.

More explicit sex acts were revealed as he continued pulling back curtains, but nothing quite slapped viewers in the face like that first scenario.

The Game of Thrones universe is not a stranger to nudity and sex scenes. In the same episode, there is a full-frontal nude scene of Prince Aemond Targaryen (played by Ewan Mitchell).

Regardless, nothing prepared The House of the Dragon community for what they saw in Season 2, Episode 3.

“Was not expecting an explicit blowjob then Aemond full frontal in the span of 2 minutes,” a Redditor wrote.

If you want to see what went down for yourself (no judgement), then you can stream The House of Dragon on BINGE.

Could Home and Away OG Kate Ritchie save Summer Bay with her rumoured return?

There’s some strong intel that Home and Away‘s golden girl — none other than OG Kate Ritchie — could be returning to Summer Bay. And you know what? I think it’s what the show needs.

Kate Richie played Sally Fletcher on the Australian soap from 1988 until 2008 and her character absolutely went through it throughout her 20-year stint.

Her storylines included (but were not limited to) a dead husband, a long-lost brother and an imaginary friend. What a trooper!

Sally was an icon in Summer Bay and our television screens alike. There’s no doubt about it. And in my humble opinion, Home and Away has lost the plot in the years since she left the show.

That’s why I’m absolutely rooting for all these rumours about her returning to be true. But will it be enough, or is the show too far gone?

Will Kate Richie return to Home and Away?

Last year, Richie told her radio co-hosts on the Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald and Michael “Wippa” Wipfli that she’d definitely be back for a final episode of the show — not unlike Kylie Minogue returning from the final episode of Neighbours (or what we thought was the final episode).

“If Ray Meagher (Alf Stewart) asked me to come back, to change the sheets in the Caravan Park, I’d be there,” Richie told her cohosts in 2023.

More recently, the radio trio have been doubling down on her potential return, even claiming to have seen proof.

Last month Wippa asked Richie if she had caught up the the cast and crew from Home and Away, which she confirmed.

“I know you’re going back to the bay,” Wippa pushed. “I’ve seen your emails as I sit next to you in the office.”

“No you don’t, you have bad eyes,” Richie laughed back.

Wippa went on to say that he wanted to get “Home & Away fans warmed up” by “rolling out a couple of scenes here at Nova”. As he delved further into his plans, Kate asked:

“What is the point of this? Why are you trying to make me look silly, and you’re actually trying to blow an exclusive.”

Home and Away is “unrecognisable”

The rumours of Ritchie’s Home and Away return come after Meagher told TV Tonight that the longtime soap has lost its way.

When Ritchie started on the show, Home and Away was about a seaside community with the Fletcher family taking in foster children.

In recent times, however, the show became more focused on harder-hitting storylines, like crime, since the infamous “River Boys” (Lincoln Younes, Steve Peacocke and Dan Ewing) of 2011.

“I mean, that was just a great period. But was it Summer Bay? Hmmm …. in my humble opinion, not to that extent.”

But can any one person actually save Summer Bay?

While it seems like a return from Richie could help to get Home and Away bring back some lost viewers, there’d need to be more than just her reprised character to save the soap.

We’ve seen the return of other Home and Away OGs before like Roo Stewart (Georgie Parker) and Marilyn Chambers (Emily Symons), however, the show’s storylines and character mix were still different to its heyday.

Take Summer Bay High, for example. Not having the high school (we haven’t seen it since 2019) gaping hole in the current Home and Away format.

When a photo of ex-Summer Bay High students Casey Braxton (Younes), Sasha Bezmel (Demi Harman), Spencer Harrington (Andrew Morley) and Maddy Osborne (Kassandra Clementi) was posted to a popular Facebook group, fans were quick to get nostalgic.

“I wish they would use the school scenes again,” one fan wrote.

“I loved that it USED [to] encompass most age groups, if I am entirely honest I no longer get sad if I miss a[n] episode or two, or seven,” wrote another.

“Bring back those days. The present storylines are ridiculous.”

Perhaps if Sally comes back and resumes her role as a teacher, and they bring back a whole bunch of teenagers that Australia’s youth can relate to, then Home and Away might be in with a fighting chance?

If they could bring back Kim Hyde (Chris Hemsworth) while they’re at it, that’d be great.

“I can overcome obstacles and keep pushing forward”: Lochy on his time in the Masterchef kitchen

Last night, fan favourite Lachlan “Lochy” Whittle‘s time in the MasterChef kitchen came to a devastating end after he lost the time auction elimination challenge to fellow contestant (and bestie), Harry Butterfield.

“I’m just really proud of the food that I was able to put up,” Whittle reflects, speaking with Chattr.

“To not have the apparatus of what I’m so used to and what I’m actually really good at, to be able to get as deep in the competition as I did. I am extremely proud of that moment.”

Whittle describes the solace he finds in cooking and the release it gives him; something he looks forward to after work, even on the “bad days.”

“[You] just put on an album and cook something delicious and just groove to some music, and everything’s going to be all right again,” he says.

Whittle’s story has touched the hearts of many a MasterChef viewer after the heartbreaking reveal that his mother, Jan, passed away from Huntington’s Disease just days before filming.

The news came out during the Mum Cook challenge episode, along with another poignant revelation: that Whittle has since discovered he has inherited the degenerative brain condition.

Despite not having a conventional upbringing, he recalls, one where disease was an uncannily familiar character, but “always a difficult thing,” Whittle thanks his mum for giving him the power in that cook “to be able to push through, and realise that no matter what there is, I can overcome obstacles and keep pushing forward.”

He remembers that challenging day on the Masterchef floor, “the crew and the other contestants and even the judges knew what I was going through, and the support that I had on that day was phenomenal.”

Thinking about some of his favourite moments from the show, Whittle is grateful for the close friendship he struck up with kitchen mate, Harry Butterfield.

“It means the world to be able to be able to come into the competition and be able to click with somebody like Harry from day one,” he says.

“To have that kind of support system, that we would do so much together on our mornings to help get into the zone. Going into the kitchen and cooking every day, and then being able to come back and debrief with each other, cook for each other, and just talk about food and support each other’s ideas… it just made it so, so great.”

The ultimate Masterchef ‘bromance’ – can we please make ‘Hochy’ a thing?

He also fondly calls to mind “a really cool moment” that happened with esteemed Vietnamese-Australian chef and restaurateur, Luke Nguyen. It was particularly significant to him, given it was Nguyen who first made Whittle “fall in love” with Vietnamese cuisine.

“I actually travelled to Vietnam because of falling in love with him and his show and how he talks about food,” says Whitall.

“In my first cook in that elimination, I tried to really ‘MasterChef’ something on a traditional Vietnamese dish, and just didn’t pull it off.”

Despite the dish, short rib Bo La Lot, being what he estimates to be around 15 minutes away from what he envisioned, Whittle describes “the little message that Luke wrote to me in my Luke Nguyen Vietnam cookbook, which was absolutely beautiful, that made me feel so good about where my head was at.”

Lochy in the kitchen with Luke Nguyen – Instagram @lochycooks

“Don’t be surprised if you see that coming up in one of my restaurants, because I thought that was a fabulous idea,” wrote Nguyen.

The chef also gave a cheeky “Ps.” that he would be nabbing the wing bean and green mango pickle recipe Whittle used in his subsequent ghee-seared kingfish cook.

“I pride myself on Vietnamese cooking, and I tried to do a lot in that cook to really impress him. I may have bitten off more than I could chew, especially for a dish I hadn’t tested or done before,” Whittle admits.

“But to have that message after not being eliminated come down right in front of me really made me feel special about that.”

This is how much Harry Jowsey can make on a single Instagram Post

If Harry Jowsey‘s actions on the latest season of Netflix’s Perfect Match didn’t shock you then the serious coin he can make on Instagram sure will.

The 27-year-old Australian reality TV star — who shot to fame on Netflix’s Too Hot Too Handle debut season in 2020 — has an impressive 4.4 million followers on Instagram alone.

That’s a lot of potential influence and reach, something that is reflected in his estimated earnings on the platform.

As reported by PEDESTRIAN.TV, talent agency Hunter Talent has shared that Jowsey could charge just over $20,000 per post on the platform. Meanwhile, all a selfie costs me is my dignity.

Hear me out but I reckon I could also make $20K a post if I looked like this. And went on reality TV. Four times. (Image: @harryjowsey.)

In addition to his Instagram followers, Jowsey also has a podcast and YouTube channel to further attract brands into working with him.

Jowsey placed 28 in MediaWeek’s Social Media Influence 100 list in 2023.

He is also consistently re-entering the spotlight, following his reality TV debut in the midst of a global lockdown with stints on Dancing With The Stars, The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity Edition and most recently the second season of Perfect Match.

Considering the cheeky possum knows how to cause a stir on screen, it’s safe to assume that each stint brings some increased engagement to Jowsey’s platforms.

In the latest season of Perfect Match, Jowsey was caught lying to his match on the show about kissing another contestant.

Is the pope catholic? (Image: Netflix.)

In the past, he was televised proposing to Francesca Farago following their rollercoaster romance on Too Hot To Handle.

The bloke does some questionable shit but boy does he know how to make good television. And with an estimated $20,000 price tag, I’m assuming he can do the same thing for Instagram ads.

The real reason McSteamy left Grey’s Anatomy won’t help you sleep at night

There are a lot of things I’m still forgiving Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes for (like that musical episode — why?) but the departure of Mark Sloan (Eric Dane) from the Seattle Grace roster is pretty high on that list.

Today Dane — the man who played McStreamy before he rudely McLeft us — has helped us inch closer to closure by clarifying why he was savagely booted from the wildly successful television drama.

Not mad, just disappointed. (Image: Grey’s Anatomy.)

(Side note: I’m going to assume if you’re here you know what happened to Dane’s character in Grey’s Anatomy Season 9 but, on the off chance you don’t, I should let you know that this article will include spoilers.)

In a new podcast episode of Dax Shepard‘s Armchair Expert, Dane opened up about his struggles with drugs and alcohol, however, clarified that it wasn’t the reason he left Grey’s Anatomy.

In fact, he basically says he didn’t leave at all — at least not on his own accord.

“I didn’t leave so much as I think I was let go,” Dane explained.

“I was struggling. They didn’t let me go because of that, although it definitely didn’t help”.

The 51-year-old went on to say that he was let go after his six-year stint on the medical drama due to his pay-check.

“I was starting to become – as most of these actors who have spent significant time on the show – you start to become very expensive for the network,” Dane told Shepard.

“And the network knows that the show is going to do what it’s going to do irrespective of who they keep on it – as long as they have their [Meredith] Grey they were fine.”

To refresh your memory, Dane was killed off following a fatal plane accident.

It was extra hard pill to swallow considering we had lost Lexie Grey (Chyler Leigh) — another main character and McSteamy’s longtime love interest — just a few episodes prior.

It’s still one of the most talked about storylines of the show’s 20-season strong run on air.

The deaths of the pair were so impactful that Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital was renamed the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital in tribute.

Dane joined Grey’s Anatomy in Season Two which aired back in 2006.

“I wasn’t the same guy they had hired. So I had understood when I was let go,” Dane explained on the podcast.

“And Shonda was really great,” Dane clarified of the mastermind behind the show.

“She protected us fiercely. She protected us publicly. She protected us privately…,” he continued.

“But I was probably fired. It wasn’t ceremoniously like, ‘You’re fired,’ it was just like, ‘You’re not coming back.’”

They say reasons can provide understanding and closure, but I’m not sure these ones are going to help me sleep any better at night. Especially when my dreams involve an alternate universe where Mark and Lexie have several babies.

But at least Dane can get decent shut-eye knowing that the show peaked while he was on it?

Andrew’s time on MAFS NZ

Andrew appeared in MAFS NZ Season 1 back in 2017 when he was aged 26. He was matched with bride Vicky Gleeson-Stokes but the pair were not able to make the relationship work beyond the reality TV show.

A year after his time on MAFS, Andrew publicly questioned the show’s ethics, saying he and his match, Vicky, were complete opposites.

Andrew also made accusations about the filming conditions while on the show, as reported by NZ Herald.

Warner Bros Discovery — the company that brings MAFS NZ to screens — has said that they take their duty of care “extremely seriously”.

“Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) expresses our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Andrew Jury,” a WBD spokesperson told NZ Herald.

“WBD takes duty of care extremely seriously and has protocols in place regarding the wellbeing of cast and crew.

We went to The Golden Bachelor premiere and we reckon we know who’s going to win

In an Aussie TV first, when The Golden Bachelor premiered earlier this week, Channel Nine put on a red carpet screening, bringing together all of the ladies and Bachelor Barry ‘Bear’ Myrden for a reunion.

Previously for shows like The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, we’ve never seen our leading man or lady interact publicly with ALL of their contestants before the show even kicks off.

In fact in the media world, it’s usually solo interviews with the leading person to promote the show, and we only chat to the contestants afterwards as they’re being eliminated, or when the happy couple goes live after the big finale.

So what happened on this Aussie-first red carpet? Come on the journey with us as we unravel it.

Here’s what happened at The Golden Bachelor premiere

As the ladies all walked the red carpet, talking to various press outlets, one thing was obvious: the camaraderie and female friendship was a strong focus for this season.

Catherine, Lauren, Nicolette on The Golden Bachelor red carpet
The Golden Bachie ladies stuck together on the red carpet. Image: Chattr

Often arm in arm, and sticking together in pairs or groups of three, the ladies were excited to see the premiere of their upcoming season, with others notably keeping an eye out for Bear.

Lauren was very excited to get a photo with the Bachie himself, which was kinda giving vibes of, well, she hasn’t seen him very recently. So we’re ruling her out as the winner!

Laura Junner, Abbie Chatfield’s mum, happily posed on the carpet with Abbie and Adam Hyde, but didn’t engage much with the media, and while she may have interacted with Bear inside, we didn’t see her interact with him much on the red carpet. So we’re also ruling her out as a winner!

But one interaction DID catch our eye. And it was when Jan was in the background of interviews, waiting in turn with another fan-favourite Janette.

As Jan took her heels off to give her feet a break, she stayed chatting with Janette with the two of them keeping close the whole event, Janette’s arm often around Jan.

Enter, Bear in the background.

Is it just us or is he looking directly at Jan?

Does Bear have eyes for just one lady? Image: Chattr

As it turns out, with our very own eyes, we watched him come over and greet Jan with a kiss on the cheek and a hug, while only briefly touching Janette’s arm, and not actively interacting with many of the other ladies on the red carpet.

Is it because he had already greeted Janette earlier? Is it because Jan is the one? Or is she the one who got away?

With Jan winning the First Impressions rose, we know on the show that Bear is keen on her, but months later in person, it also appeared that he couldn’t take his eyes off her.

However, it must be noted that Bear has remained very coy in interviews when talking about his final choice, even calling his final decision ‘unexpected’, which doesn’t necessarily align with Jan who is currently an obvious frontrunner.

“It will be totally unexpected to everyone, I think,” he said previously told Sky News. “All I can tell you is, I made the right decision.”

Insider spills on Bear’s actions during the screening of the episode

While media were situated in a different screening room to the cast, an insider who attended the event told Chattr that Bear sat with someone not from the show during the screening of the first episode, and left the room on two occasions.

The insider said: “Bear left the room when Kim gate-crashed the cocktail party, and when he gave Jan the First Impressions rose. Coincidence? Or could these be his final two?”

A sixth secret The Block house is for sale in Daylesford

A plot of land nicknamed the unofficial “sixth Block lot” is up for sale in Daylesford — home to host Scott Cam’s iconic Sawmill Shed, where contestants take part in judging and challenges.

The Sawmill is a premium Stratco shed that is currently on-site and will be included in the sale. Plans to transform it into a contemporary four-bedroom home called Barn House have also been drawn up by The Block architect Julian Brenchley of Group Architects.

Belle Propertie’s Natalie Fagan and Ashlee McKee are the realtors for the property, and the former told Domain about the listing.

“Lot 106 has stunning views, so it gives you the same sort of grandeur as what The Block houses have with the land size, the location, the possibilities,” Natalie said.

“Essentially, you’ll have no neighbours to your north. It’s just an open paddock, and it’s stunning,” she added of the view.

How far from The Block houses is the sixth lot?

The buyer of the plot of land where Scott’s Sawmill Shed sits will be neighbours with the purchasers of Robby and Mat’s renovated house.

The sixth lot — which is located at 2 Armistice Way, Daylesford — is just a stone’s throw from House One.

How much is the sixth Block lot?

The plot of land is 2649 square metres and has been listed for sale at $1.1 million.

When are The Block auctions?

The Block 2025 auctions will take place on Saturday, October 25, at The Block site in Daylesford. So, the attendees and contestants will know who the winner is — and whether the houses sold — then.

However, fans will have to wait until Sunday night to watch the auction action unfold on Channel 9 and 9Now.

The Block auction airs on October 26th at 7pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Can the public attend The Block 2025 auctions?

One of Australian reality TV’s biggest nights is almost here — The Block auctions — and fans are wondering whether they can be there to watch it all unfold in person on Saturday.

While the all-important auctions won’t air until Sunday night at 7pm on Channel 9 and 9Now, they’re actually taking place the day before in Daylesford.

In past seasons, fans have been able to attend in person, which is a fun day out for those eager to see the action up close.

So, can the public attend The Block 2025 auctions? Read on to find out.

The Block 2022 auctions. Image: Nine.

Will The Block fans be able to watch the auctions in person?

Unfortunately not. The auctions are invite-only, and only those on the list will be able to attend the event. The crowd will include a mix of registered bidders, professional buyer’s agents, and contestants’ family members.

When and where are the auctions taking place?

The auctions will take place on Saturday at The Block site in Daylesford. So, the attendees and contestants will know who the winner is — and whether the houses sold — then.

However, fans will have to wait until Sunday night to watch the auction action unfold on Channel 9 and 9Now.

How much are The Block 2025 houses selling for?

Each house will be given a reserve ahead of the auctions, and interested buyers will make bids. Whatever the house sells for (if it sells) over the reserve goes in the contestant’s pocket. Plus, the team that makes the biggest profit will also score a $100,000 prize.

The reserves haven’t been revealed yet, and some of the houses boast state-of-the-art amenities that they’ve earned through challenge wins, such as Mat and Robby’s pickleball court and Britt and Taz’s smart kitchen appliances.

However, despite the extras, Emma told Chattr that she believes all the reserve prices will be the same.

“It might be a different story this week when we find out the auction reserve,” Emma said. “But, so far, we’ve been told that all the reserves are the same because they go off the original floor plan of the house design.”

The Block auction airs on October 26th at 7pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Selected couples will spend approximately 12 weeks transforming rundown properties into dream homes, navigating deadlines, design challenges, and the occasional sleepless night along the way.

Next year’s season will be taking place in Mount Eliza, a beachside suburb on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia.

So, if you’re thinking of applying for The Block 2026, here’s what to know.

Finally, you’ll be asked to upload a video of you and your teammate.

How hard is it to get cast?

The Block receives thousands of applications every year, and some Redditors have detailed their experiences of applying for the show.

“We applied last year and got to the top 26, but are still undecided if we will again. I was curious about how others who have applied and not got in,” one person wrote.

They added that they didn’t spend much time on their application, but managed to almost get cast on the popular renovation show.

“We didn’t even really try last year, we just chucked our hat in the ring… and were totally shocked to get as far as we did. I mean, we did the in-person interviews and hadn’t even looked up Daylesford lol, we would try to be a bit more prepped next time,” they added.

Good luck to all The Block 2026 applicants!

One team has been spending the most time at their Block house ahead of the auctions

The Block 2025 auctions are just days away, and in the lead-up, the contestants have been back at their houses meeting potential buyers.

However, making the trip to Daylesford has been a little harder for Emma and Ben, who welcomed their baby boy Bailey Coulter Cox into the world a month ago. Bailey was born four weeks early, so the couple were only able to take him home in early October.

Despite having a newborn in their life, the Melbourne-based couple told Chattr they’ve still been able to make plenty of trips to meet buyers at their renovated house.

“We’ve been back and forth from the Block the last week; we only got Bailey out of the hospital a week ago. So, since having Bailey out, we’ve been up and back and doing events and meeting potential buyers. So we’re getting there as much as we can. We’re actually going there after this as well,” Emma explained.

Emma and Ben added that Britt and Taz — who are from Western Australia — don’t have the luxury of driving back and forth to the Victorian properties, so they’ve been spending a lot of time at their renovated house.

Britt and Taz at their completed Block house. Image: Nine.

Britt and Taz have been there the most; they’ve just taken work off. That was our intention, too. But with Bailey arriving early, it just meant we’ve had to be home for midwife appointments and hospital things,” Ben said.

“So realistically, we would have liked to have been out there a bit more, but we’re making the trip out as much as we can for the really important stuff.”

Emma pointed out that with a newborn baby, it’s important not to have him around too many people, especially with all the crowds and activity at The Block houses.

“It’s quite busy at The Block. They’ve got lots of events and sponsors and people walking through the houses most days. So we thought that with a brand new, fresh baby, it might be a bit harder to be there. 24/7, as well.”

What will the reserve prices be at The Block 2025 auctions?

Neither the official reserve prices nor the auction order has been revealed yet for the 2025 Block houses. So, viewers will watch that play out ahead of the actual auctions, which air on Sunday, October 26.

However, the price guides released earlier in the season have given an indication of what they might be. The official price guides on the real estate website Domain, where all five properties are listed, have been priced between $3 million and $3.3 million.

This year, all of the houses originally had the same floor plan, suggesting that they’d have the same reserve. But, there have been a substantial amount of sponsor prizes given away, including Britt and Taz’s win of kitchen appliances worth around $175,000, as well as Mat and Robby’s $50,000 pickleball court and their $50,000 outdoor fireplace.

Despite these big additions, Emma and Ben said they’d been told the prizes won’t affect the reserve prices.

“It might be a different story this week when we find out the auction reserve,” Emma said. “But, so far, we’ve been told that all the reserves are the same because they go off the original floor plan of the house design.”

The Block auction airs on October 26th on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Emma and Ben reveal watching The Block opened ‘old wounds’ between some teams

Filming for The Block 2025 wrapped in June, but the season didn’t hit screens until late July — so by the time viewers were watching the drama unfold, the teams had already finished their renovations and had moved past all the on-site bickering.

However, watching it all play out on TV screens apparently resurfaced some bad blood between the contestants. In an interview with Chattr, Ben and Emma hinted that some tensions had flared up again as the episodes went to air.

“We’re getting to the final week of the episodes, and we’ve got to remind ourselves that we finished the show all really friendly, and as you watch it back, you sort of relive the moments as if they just happened,” Ben told Chattr.

“And so, you know, it opened old wounds for some, but I think everyone will move past it and be back to being friends like we were when we finished the show.”

Where do Emma and Ben stand with the other teams?

Emma shared that she and Ben have stayed on good terms with all of their fellow Blockheads since filming wrapped.

“We actually had an event last night, and we were all hanging out, taking selfies with each other, having a good time. So I guess we can talk on our behalf. We definitely get along with everyone in the crew, still. We chat to everyone, see, catch up with them when we’re at the Block.”

Ben added that he believes that most of their neighbours are still friendly, and said that he had a great relationship with Robby and Mat — despite the competing wine cellar drama that viewers saw play out on TV.

“They were really good sports about it,” he explained. “They, you know, said their two cents worth, and it was all part of the show, and in the spirit of competition. But, I reckon they were champs. They were honest to God, the best sports, and we got along well with them.”

The Block auction airs on October 26th on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Who left the Golden Bachelor? We’re keeping track so you don’t have to

The Golden Bachelor Australia has officially kicked off its first-ever season on Channel Nine, as we follow Barry ‘Bear’ Myrden’s journey to finding love in the golden age.

Bear, a widower, tragically lost his first wife, Audrey, 14 years ago, after she was diagnosed with a rare and very aggressive malignant brain tumour in 2009.

After Audrey passed in 2011, Bear focused on raising their three sons, but as he becomes an empty-nester, he’s ready to open his heart again to the possibility of love.

With 20 ladies vying for his affections, ranging in ages from 51 to 66, Bear will have his work cut out for him as he wines, dines, and gets to know the unique women, before hopefully getting his happily ever after and sailing off into the sunset.

We’re keeping track of who’s getting eliminated from the episodes, so if you miss one or two, you’re still up to date. You’re welcome!

Here’s who has left The Golden Bachelor Australia 2025

Episode 2 – Linda and Nicolette

Nicolette and Linda leave The Golden Bachelor
Nicolette and Linda. Image: Nine

Episode two saw Bear take Janette on a beautiful sailing date and gifting her with a rose, while also partaking in the infamous photo shoot group date.

Themed on iconic movies, while some ladies (ahem, Catherine) basked in their chance to get close to Daddy Bear, things got emotional for Shamse, who donned a wedding dress for a Muriel’s Wedding-themed shoot.

Reflecting on losing her husband less than two years ago, Shamse left the shoot in tears, as both she and Bear struggled with the thoughts of their previous partners.

“I am grieving a lot of people, so maybe that’s what’s happening right now. I don’t know,” Shamse told Sam Armytage.

At the cocktail party after, Bear checked in on Shamse, giving her a rose and keeping her safe for another week.

It was Nicolette and Linda who left roseless, with Nicolette disappointed that she didn’t get much time with Bear in the photo shoot due to Catherine taking centre stage, and Linda being someone who was definitely on the show at some stage.

Episode 1 — Jane, Shana and Angela

Shana, Angela and Jane on The Golden Bachelor. Image: Nine.

God, we needed the tissues in episode one and not because we were sad to say goodbye to three women we barely knew. No offence to them.

The show opened with Bear sharing the story of losing his one true love, Audrey, describing her cancer journey with tears in his eyes as he looked back on old photos.

While he described her as “one in six billion” he then spoke of having his three sons’ support as he looks forward to “possibly finding love again”. “I’ve had the love of my life and lost her, and I think I’m ready to move on and find a lasting relationship,” Bear told host Sam Armytage, admitting that for a long time he didn’t think he’d find love again.

As he met the 20 vibrant women seeking his affections, there were a few standout bonding moments: first cab off the rank, Pilates guru Janette caught his attention, as did Terri and Catherine, who even nabbed a cheeky little kiss (and the sexy intro music) after winning an arm-wrestle.

Then there was Jan, who got the wifey music edit as she sauntered in with a welcome drink.

However, not all romances end in a fairytale and we had to bid farewell to three ladies: Jane, Sharna, and Angela.

Bye! We barely knew ye.

The Golden Bachelor airs on Mondays and Tuesdays at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

MKR 2025: Where the leaderboard stands after Justin and Will’s Ultimate Instant Restaurant

The My Kitchen Rules (MKR) 2025 cast is making its way around Australia, and each team is cooking at its own Instant Restaurant for the rest of the group.

At their own Instant Restaurant, the teams will serve a three-course meal, which will be scored by the fellow contestants and MKR judges Manu Feildel and Colin Fassnidge.

The six teams of contestants gave an overall score out of 10 for all of the meals prepared, meaning that their score made up 50 points out of 110. Meanwhile, Manu and Colin will score each course out of 10, so their points make up 60 out of 110.

So far, round two of the Instant Restaurants has been completed. In the first, Mel and Jacinta received the lowest score, so they were eliminated from the competition. Because Justin, Will, and Anne and Maree received the two highest scores, they were exempt from participating in round two.

The second Instant Restaurant round saw Maria and Bailey, Michael and Rielli and Lol and Lil joined by three new teams dubbed the Gatecrashers. It was Gatecrashers Danielle and Marko who topped the scoreboard, and Amy and Lara were eliminated.

After that, the remaining contestants battled it out in Kitchen HQ, and Anne and Maree and Michael and Rielli were sent home, before the rest of the competitors headed off for the Ultimate Instant Restaurant round.

Here’s where the MKR scoreboard sits so far.

The Overall MKR 2025 Leaderboard for the Ultimate Instant Restaurants

  • Justin and Will – 75 out of 100
  • Danielle and Marko – yet to cook
  • Mark and Tan – yet to cook
  • Lol and Lil – yet to cook
  • Maria and Bailey – yet to cook

Justin and Will

The Ultimate Instant Restaurant round marked Justin and Will’s second time touring the country for MKR, after they skipped the second round thanks to their top score in the first.

Once again, the boys were the first team off the rank for this round, welcoming the remaining contestants to their Sydney home.

Justin and Will set the bar high, with two tens from Manu for their Ouma’s Seafood Hotpot and Paris-Brest with Pistachio Crème, and then ended up with an impressive overall score of 75 out of 100.

  • Mark and Tan – 80 out of 110
  • Michael and Rielli – 72 out of 110

  • Amy and Lara – 58 out of 110 – eliminated

Amy and Lara – Eliminated

Amy and Lara. Image: Seven.

Amy and Lara were the last team to cook, and they kicked off their Instant Restaurant Only Pans with a ceviche featuring pork belly and peanut relish, which Manu loved and Colin described as a “flavour explosion”.

It was surf and turf with an eye fillet, lobster and truffle mash, which Manu called a “little bit of a disaster”, pointing out that the beef wasn’t “done properly” and that there was a lack of seasoning. Colin said his lobster was undercooked and their mash was underworked.

However, things picked up again with their dessert of white chocolate and passionfruit cheesecake, which was quite well received by both judges.

However, it wasn’t enough to get Amy and Lara over the line; they ultimately finished with a total score of 58, which meant they were eliminated from the competition.

Guest Teams scores: 26/50

Michael and Rielli

Michael and Rielli. Image: Seven.

The pressure was on for Michael and Rielli at their second Instant Restaurant, after grilling the teams over their dishes all week long.

And, they didn’t drop the ball, scoring a respectable 72 out of 110. While the couple received a relatively high score of 46 out of 60 from the judges, the guest teams were much harsher, awarding them just 26 out of 50.

Michael and Rielli made a Confit Duck Tart with Caramelised Onion for entrée, a Pistachio-Crusted Lamb Rack with Leek Purée and smashed, crispy potatoes for main and a Paris-Brest with hazelnut praline cream for dessert.

Lol and Lil

Lil and Lol. Image: Seven.

Lol and Lil upped their score at their second Instand Restaurant, and while it was nowhere near enough to put them at the top of the leaderboard, they didn’t land in last place.

For their entree, they made Pan-Seared Scallops, it was Pumpkin and Ricotta Ravioli for main, and a Lamington with a twist for dessert.

Colin and Manu were most impressed with their main, which landed them an eight from each judge. However, their dessert slightly missed the mark, with Manu noting that the base was dry and Colin saying it was too thick and detracted from the dish.

Guest Teams scores: 29/50

Manu’s scores: 20/30

Colin’s scores: 20/30

Overall MKR 2025 leaderboard score: 69/110

Mark and Tan

Mark and Tan. Image: Seven.

Mark and Tan had a successful night at their first Instant Restaurant, whipping up Grilled Octopus with Thai-style Chimichurri for an entree, Chicken Khao Soi for the main, and Passionfruit Crème Brûlée for dessert.

The judges were taken with both the entree and main, with Colin and Manu both awarding a nine and a ten, respectively. However, the dessert let the men down slightly earning a a six from Colin and a five from Manu.

While Mark and Tan finished up with an impressive score of 80, they weren’t able to top the leaderboard and Danielle and Marko remained in first place.

Guest Teams scores: 31/50

Manu’s scores: 25/30

Colin’s scores: 24/30

Maria and Bailey

Maria and Bailey. image: Seven.

For the second round of MKR 2025’s Instant Restaurants, Maria and Bailey started with a Moussaka as their entrée. The judges weren’t overly impressed, with Manu saying that while the technique was fantastic, the flavours were lacking.

They prepared a Sou Vide Chicken Skewer with Salsa Verde for their main, which received a five from Colin and seven from Manu.

Maria and Bailey finished off with a Dulce De Leche with Chocolate Whiskey and Pear and Caramel Sorbet. Manu said the pear sorbet was “gorgeous,” but the dulce de leche’s flavour was overpowered.

Guest Teams scores: 28/50

Manu’s scores: 17/30

Colin’s scores: 17/30

Overall MKR 2025 leaderboard score: 62/110

Danielle and Marko

Danielle and Marko. Image: Seven.

Danielle and Marko whipped up a Spicy Ahi Tuna on Crispy Rice for an entree, which Manu and Colin loved. They carried on their successful streak with their main on Pork Belly with Noodles, with Manu saying the pork was “done amazingly” and Colin adding that it “put a smile” on his face.

For dessert, the couple served Miso Brownies with Sesame Ice Cream and Miso Caramel Sauce, which, unsurprisingly, the judges loved, too.

Danielle and Marko received an overall score of 84, higher than any score from the first round.

Guest Teams scores: 34/50

Manu’s scores: 24/30

Colin’s scores: 26/30

Overall MKR 2025 leaderboard score: 84/110

  • Anne and Maree – 78 out of 110
  • Maria and Bailey – 68 out of 110
  • Michael and Rielli – 65 out of 110
  • Lol and Lil– 64 out of 110
  • Mel and Jacinta – 50 out of 110 – eliminated

Individual scores for the Ultimate Instant Restaurant round

Mel and Jacinta – Eliminated

Where will Mel and Jacinta sit on the MKR leaderboard.

It was a tough night for Jacinta and Mel. Their dishes were criticised by both the judges and their fellow contestants before they were informed that they had been eliminated from the competition.

Their entree of Bang Bang Cauliflower with Spiced Cashew Sauce and Pickled Cucumber was their strongest, with both judges noting that they loved the flavour combination.

Their main of Braised Beef with Black Rice, Lime and Corn Salad and Coconut Roti was critiqued by Manu, who said there were some “really dry pieces of beef”, with Colin adding that it was burnt on top.

Their dessert of Tofu Mocha Mousse with Coffee Liqueur and Coconut Sauce came out even weaker, receiving a three from both Colin and Manu. Colin called the texture a brick-like and pointed out that “you should not be able to stand a spoon in mousse.”

Their overall score of 50 put them much lower than Lol and Lil, who were sitting at the bottom of the leaderboard before Jacinta and Mel’s Instant Restaurant, and they were sent home.

Guest Teams scores: 22/50

Manu’s scores: 14/30

Colin’s scores: 14/30

Overall MKR 2025 leaderboard score: 50/110

Justin and Will

Justin and Will are currently on the top of the MKR leaderboard.

Justin and Will were the first team off the block on MKR 2025. They served up a heartfelt menu to set a strong culinary tone at their Instant Restaurant Tropic Like It’s Hot.

They served Ota Ika (Ceviche) with Taro crisps for entrée, Red Duck Curry with Coconut Rice for main, and Cape Malay Koeksister (South African fried doughnut) with spice syrup for dessert.

Their standout dish was their main, which impressed both judges and the other teams.  Manu called it a “wonderful, ballsy curry”, and Colin said it was “near perfect,” though the undercooked rice let them down.

Guest Teams scores: 37/50

Manu’s scores: 21/30

Colin’s scores: 21/30

Overall MKR 2025 leaderboard score: 79/110

Anne and Maree

Anne and Maree are second on the MKR 2025 leaderboard.

Mother-daughter duo Anne and Maree headed into the kitchen for their Instant Restaurant with their secret weapon – Yia-yia’s treasured handwritten recipe book passed down through generations.

The judges loved the entrée of Chargrilled Octopus with Spanakorizo. However, they said their main dish, Chicken and Lamb Souvlakia with Pita and Tzatzikiwas flavourful but didn’t hit the mark technically.

The dessert of Orange Semolina Cake with Chocolate and Candied Orange held deep sentimental value, as it was one of the first recipes Anne’s mother taught her.

Despite getting a higher score from the judges than Justin and Will, the guest teams score left them sitting lower on the leaderboard.

Guest Teams scores: 34/50

Manu’s scores: 22/30

Colin’s scores: 22/30

Overall MKR 2025 leaderboard score: 78/110

Michael and Rielli

Michael and Rielli on my Kitchen Rules 2025

Michael and Rielli sent shockwaves through the competition when they served up a main meal of Buttered Beef Tongue with Braised Cabbage and Potato Straws to the group, which notably included one vegan.

For their entree, they opted for Beetroot and Feta Cheesecake and a Raspberry Gel with Chocolate Mousse Dome for dessert.

Colin was impressed with the cook on the beef tongue but thought that the main’s garnish and lack of sauce let the dish down. Manu loved the dessert and said it was a “great finish”.

Guest Teams scores: 28/50

Manu’s scores: 18/30

Colin’s scores: 19/30

Overall MKR 2025 leaderboard score: 65/110

Lol and Lil

Lol and Lil on MKR

Lol and Lil launched their Instant Restaurant, Sugar, Spice and Everything, with their usual upbeat attitude. But not everything went to plan.

The judges deemed the prawns in their entree of Grilled Prawn and Mango Tortilla Bites undercooked, and the pastry in their hearty Chicken and Leek Pot Pie was burnt.

Fortunately, their dessert of Lemon Meringue Pie was a standout, which both judges enjoyed. However, it wasn’t enough to get them a strong score, and Lol and Lil ranked last on the leaderboard, with only Mel and Jacinta left to cook.

Guest Teams scores: 27/50

Manu’s scores: 18/30

Colin’s scores: 19/30

Overall MKR 2025 leaderboard score: 64/110

Maria and Bailey

Maria and Bailey on My Kitchen Rules

Maria and Bailey had high expectations for their Instant Restaurant, Medusa. However, despite having an almost perfect entree of Spanakopita Raviolo with Feta Crème, Crispy Leek and Dill Oil, the rest of the night didn’t fare as well.

Their main was Citrus Beurre Blanc and Charred Leek, but Bailey forgot to add white wine to the sauce, resulting in a thick, unbalanced dish. Manu and Colin weren’t sure about their dessert of Citrus Panna Cotta either, with Colin calling it “odd and jarring”.

Guest Teams scores: 29/50

Manu’s scores: 19/30

Colin’s scores: 20/30

Danielle and Marko open up about Michael and Rielli’s ‘softer side’ following MKR elimination

Michael hasn’t shied away from ruffling a few feathers on My Kitchen Rules (MKR) 2025, but following his and Rielli’s elimination, fellow contestants Danielle and Marko have revealed their softer side.

Michael and Rielli were sent to the elimination challenge, where they competed against Danielle and Marko, and were sent home after losing by one point. Perhaps one of the most detrimental moments of the cook was when Michael dropped a tray of ribs.

In an interview with Chattr, Danielle said she had a mixed reaction when she saw Michael make the monumental slip.

“When Michael dropped the tray of ribs, like, there was a part of it that felt bad for them, like, obviously not a nice feeling. But then at the same time, I guess him dropping it brought us a little bit closer to possibly getting ahead of them,” she said.

Marko said that while Michael and Rielli were often made out to look like villains on TV, they weren’t really that way in real life.

“They definitely have that different side to them. Obviously, you see one side on the TV and that sort of stuff, but both of them are actually really good people,” he said.

Danielle added: “We got on really well with Michael and Riley, and they definitely have a softer side. I think they just didn’t want to go home. And also, like they’re really proud of what they do as well, they didn’t want to embarrass themselves.”

While Marko and Danielle were sad to see Michael and Rielli go, they admitted it was better than the alternative — being sent home themselves.

“It was bittersweet when Michael and Rielli were eliminated, to be honest. We both felt happy that one more team is eliminated, which means we’re getting closer to winning, but sad as sharing the MKR experience with Michael and Rielli was super fun and they definitely made things interesting to say the least.

How Marko and Danielle feel about the third round of MKR Instant Restaurants

At the end of Monday night’s episode, Colin and Manu revealed that the remaining contestants will be touring around Australia once again for the Ultimate Instant Restaurant round.

Speaking to Chattr, Danielle and Marko said they were thrilled by the news, especially given how well their first Instant Restaurant went.

Marko and Danielle at the first Instant Restaurant.
Marko and Danielle at the first Instant Restaurant. Image: Seven.

“To be honest, we actually were delighted! Clearly, we seem to thrive better in that environment, so we’re looking forward to proving ourselves again at the Ultimate Instant Restaurant,” Danielle said.

“Our strategy is to replicate as much as possible what we did in our first Instant Restaurant. That means aiming to accomplish as much as possible during preparation time before things get too hectic,” she added.

My Kitchen Rules (MKR) airs on Monday and Tuesday nights at 7:30pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.

Who has left MKR 2025?

The first round of Instant Restaurants on My Kitchen Rules (MKR) 2025 are in the bag, and the time has come for the first team to be eliminated from the competition.

Throughout the competition so far, each of the teams have been scored by both their fellow competitors, as well as judges Manu Feildel and Colin Fassnidge, and those scores determined their place on the MKR leaderboard.

Ahead of the last Instant Restaurant, which was Mel and Jacinta’s, Lol and Lil sat at the bottom of the scoreboard with a total of 64 out of 110. The only way that Mel and Jacinta could be saved was if they racked up a lower total score.

After the first elimination, MKR contestants usually travel around Australia for a second round of Instant Restaurants — but this time, they’ll be joined by Gatecrashers. Gatecrashers are three late-comers — often known as intruders — who compete against the remaining home cooks

So, who has been eliminated from MKR so far? Read on to find out!

Who was eliminated from My Kitchen Rules 2025?

Michael and Rieli

Michael and Rieli

Michael and Rielli were sent home from the competition after cooking in an elimination round against Marko and Danielle.

Both couples earned an average score of 7 from their teammates and from Manu, leaving Colin’s score to decide their fate. In the end, Marko and Danielle edged ahead with an 8 from Colin, while Michael and Rielli received another 7, ending their journey in the competition.

Anne and Maree

Anne and Maree.
Anne and Maree. Image: Seven.

Anne and Maree competed against Lol and Lil in the elimination round, losing out to them by just two points.

The two teams were tasked with cooking a main and a dessert. Lol and Lil opted for a classic Sunday roast featuring Roast Chicken, Vegetables, Yorkshire pudding, and gravy and a  Profiterole tower. Anne and Maree served up a traditional Greek feast of Lamb shoulder, Lemon potatoes, Dolmades, Greek salad and Tzatziki and  Greek Ekmek Kataifi for dessert.

While Manu and Colin loved their main, Manu noted the dessert base was “a little too thick and not crispy”. The mother-daughter duo got a score of 19 out of 30, and Lol and Lil triumphed with 21.

“I never thought I’d get here, to be honest. I’m so proud,” Maree said of their elimination, adding, “We are going to go home with our heads held high. The fact that we even got chosen to do this – we are winners.”

Amy and Lara

Amy and Laura on MKR. Image: Seven.
Amy and Lara on MKR. Image: Seven.

Amy and Lara were the second team eliminated from the competition after winding up at the bottom of the MKR leaderboard in round two with a score of 58.

Throughout the competition, they spoke proudly about their cooking skills, and while they did well on their entree, their main meal of surf and turf with an eye fillet, lobster and truffle mash really let them down, receiving a score of 2 and 3 from Manu and Colin.

“This is gobsmacking, we’re shocked,” Amy said upon finding out they were eliminated. “We’re mortified, embarrassed, gutted.”

Mel and Jactinta

Mel and Jacinta at their first (and only) Instant Restaurant. Image: Seven.

Jacinta and Mel were the final team to host their Instant Restaurant on MKR 2025. To stay in the game, all they needed to do was score higher than Lol and Lil’s total of 64 out of 110.

Unfortunately for the feisty cousins, they fell well below that mark, receiving a total of 50 points.

Their entrée of Bang Bang Cauliflower with Spiced Cashew Sauce and Pickled Cucumber was the highlight of the night, with both judges praising the flavour combination.

The main — Braised Beef with Black Rice, Lime and Corn Salad, and Coconut Roti — fared worse. Manu remarked that some pieces of beef were “really dry,” while Colin noted the top was burnt.

Dessert proved to be their weakest course. The Tofu Mocha Mousse with Coffee Liqueur and Coconut Sauce earned just a three from each judge, with Colin criticising its brick-like texture and quipping, “You should not be able to stand a spoon in mousse.”

Their score of 50 sent them to the bottom of the MKR leaderboard, sealing their fate and seeing them eliminated from the competition.

My Kitchen Rules (MKR) airs on Monday and Tuesday nights at 7:30pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.

The Amazing Race’s Bernie and Steve reveal how close Rob and Georgie actually came to winning

The Amazing Race Australia 2025 finale was a nail-biter, with Steve and Bernie Curry completing the final puzzle moments before Rob Mills and Georgie Tunny. The two teams raced to the finish, but while viewers saw Bernie and Steve reach the mat first and Rob and Georgie arrive just after, was the race really as close as it looked?

In a post-win interview, winners Steve and Bernie told Chattr that the race was unbelievably tight.

“Less than four seconds. Yeah, it was close,” Steve explained.

“We were almost to the point where we arrived at this beautiful, sort of Temple, hotel thing, and there were all these people who were doing high fives along the way,” Bernie added. “And there was a chance that, if we were goofing around too much there, that they would have come in behind us [and won].”

“Imagine you lose 100 grand because you’re busy high-fiving the locals,” Steve laughed.

However, on the plus side, if Georgie and Rob did manage to beat out Steve and Bernie at the last minute and win the show, they would have gotten married on the mat.

“They didn’t show this in the edit, but we still offered them the chance. We said we’d still like to see it, and they chose not to,” Steve explained, adding that the couple didn’t want to take away from Steve and Bernie’s moment.

Steve and Bernie’s strategic winning move

A smart move made early on by Bernie ended up playing a huge part in the brothers’ win on The Amazing Race Australia 2025.

The season’s final challenge was a memory puzzle that involved keeping track of logos that popped up throughout the entire race. Having watched previous seasons with similar final puzzles, Bernie came prepared.

“Bernie is a student of these shows. Loves these shows. And he did say at the very start of the race, he said, ‘Mate, I will guarantee you there will be a puzzle at the end which revolves around our recollection of symbols,'” Steve told Chattr.

“So we’d get to that mat, and you’re so cooked. You’re so cooked every time you get to the mat, that my brain isn’t thinking about symbols or retaining them. His was.”

Bernie had an idea that the final challenges would involve the symbols along the way at some point, so he jotted them down after every stop.

“I noticed a bunch of them. I didn’t see all of them, but I did say, ‘Steve, see, look, look up the flag there. See that little, that little symbol, little star’. And then we’d go home to the hotel that night, and I’d pull out the notebook, and I’d go, ‘Right. What did we do? Where did we start? We started here. What did we see? There’s a star symbol?”

Bernie admitted that he and Steve had high hopes of winning the entire show, which is why they were so diligent about taking note of the symbols.

“You wouldn’t be writing down these symbols if you didn’t feel as though you were going to get to the point where you’re going to use the symbols, so you had to have some sort of confidence that there was a chance you might make it to that final puzzle if you’re going to be writing down the symbols.”

Georgie and Rob were fully committed to having an Amazing Race wedding: ‘They got us rings’

Throughout the season of The Amazing Race Australia 2025, Georgie Tunny and Rob Mills made it clear that if they won, they’d get officially married on the mat. Unfortunately for them — and for us as viewers — Georgie and Rob came a close second to the Curry brothers, and we missed out on the first The Amazing Race wedding ever.

During a post-elimination interview with Chattr, Georgie and Rob revealed just how close the wedding was to happening.

“We were just chatting [to producers] in the pre-interviews. And, people always ask us — which is lovely, legitimately —when are you guys getting married? And I was like, ‘Hey, if we win The Amazing Race and we win $100,000 for the Australian Children’s Music Foundation, we’ll get married.’ Because what could be better than that? And then the closer we got, we’re like, ‘Are we going to actually get married?'” Georgie explained.

Georgie Tunny and Rob Mills on The Amazing Race.

“It was wild, but as we progressed, we’re like, ‘No, yep, that’s going to happen’. The producers were taking it seriously, like Beau had a full script in case we got married, in case we won. They got us rings that we have. There was this huge bouquet, which I saw after,” she added.

“We were like, ‘No, sorry guys, we did not win’ because they were prepping like we could have won, because we were the favourites heading into that last round.”

Georgie added that if they’d reached the mat first, host Beau Ryan was ready to officiate their wedding.

“Beau had done a three-hour online course, and we’re like, ‘We’re so sorry, Beau, because we didn’t win and we made you sit there and do all that’, but yeah, he was ready. So yeah, we were going to get married by Beau Ryan in Java.”

However, in hindsight, Rob added that their parents probably wouldn’t have been “furious” at them for saying “I do” in Java without them there.

Rob Mills and Georgie Tunny’s wedding plans

Rob and Georgie got engaged back in 2021 during a road trip in Sydney. The couple told Chattr that although their Amazing Race wedding was only moments from happening, they’re yet to make any firm plans for their actual big day.

“We think next year, next year could be the year, but we haven’t made any plans. And I hear that’s really important with weddings,” Georgie joked, with Rob added, “Apparently, you have to plan them.”

Georgie explained that part of the allure of getting married on The Amazing Race was the fact that they wouldn’t have to play into part in planning their own wedding.

“This is another part of the thing, because it would have been great to get away with the wedding and not plan anything and have, like, a full production team figure it out,” she said.

However, Rob added that despite not getting a televised wedding on The Amazing Race, the show’s producers are still keen to help them plan their big day.

“So at the end of the race, after the drinks, so many of the segment producers, or the challenge producers, came up and said, if you need us to progress, to plan anything for you, let us know.”

Among the 20 women vying for his heart, there’s one familiar face: Laura Junner, a 64-year-old primary school teacher, and the mother of well-known Bachie star, podcaster, and influencer Abbie Chatfield.

Abbie first rose to fame on Matt Agnew’s season of The Bachelor in 2019, coming in as runner-up. She went on to launch a successful podcast career and is now one of Australia’s most well-known influencers.

So will Laura follow in her daughter’s footsteps and find her own love story? We can’t wait to find out.

Here’s everything we know about The Golden Bachelor’s Laura Junner

Laura resides in Queensland and is described as a ‘true pocket rocket with a heart of gold’. She’s been married twice and is ready to embrace life with a special someone by her side.

Saying her proudest achievement to date is her ‘two beautiful daughters’ (Abbie and Jolie) Laura said she applied for The Bachelor because it’s ‘definitely her time’. Laura said she’s looking for an emotionally present and kind partner.

With one daughter in the limelight, Laura isn’t a complete stranger to the Bachie world, and often appears on some of Abbie’s social media content. Plus, she had a brief cameo on Abbie’s season of The Bachelor, where she met Matt Agnew during hometown visits and politely sipped wine while he contemplated brutally dumping her daughter at the end of the show.

The Block’s Mat is expecting a baby!

Another The Block 2025 baby is on the way, with House 5’s Mat Johnson announcing that he’s expecting.

The loveable hairdresser shared the exciting news in an Instagram reel, which showed him handing his family a bag of baby clothes.

“So I’ve got something very exciting to share with you all, honestly, you will have no idea,” he began.

“I’m going to give you this to open, and have a bit of a look through, and pull something out, mum,” he added before handing over the bag.”

His family looked at the items in shock, and Mat confirmed that he’s having a baby.

“I’m having a baby, you’re going to be a granny, and you’re going to be an aunt,” he told his mum and sister, adding that the baby is due in December.

Who is The Block’s Mat having a baby with?

Mat told New Idea that he’s having a baby boy with his long-time friend, Leah Cocks. He revealed that Leah, who’s in a same-sex relationship, initially approached him with the idea years ago.

“I didn’t know if I was ready at that stage of my life, and I think I was terrified because I have a very good life that I worked decades to be able to have,” he said.

About a year later, Mat decided he was ready to be a dad and asked Leah if she still wanted to go ahead with the process.

“I was ecstatic when it was a yes,” Leah told the publication, with Mat adding: “I wouldn’t have done it with just anyone. It’s only because it’s her”.

Leah said that, after a round of IVF, she found out she was pregnant the first week that Robby and Mat began filming The Block. However, she decided not to tell Mat while he was in Daylesford, because she didn’t want to distract him.

When Mat returned from the show, Leah was already three months pregnant, and decided to share the exciting news with him at his salon.

“After Mat returned, I booked in to get my hair done, the very last appointment that he had for the day, and I sat there in my baggy clothes and gave him a card. It had the ultrasound in it, and Mat just looked at me and said, ‘Congratulations!’”

It took Mat a moment to put the pieces together before realising the ultrasound was his baby. “I suddenly realised I’m going to be a dad!”

The Block auction airs on October 26th on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Has the MKR 2025 winner already leaked?

The My Kitchen Rules (MKR) contestants have made it through two rounds of Instant Restaurants and are now competing for their place in the competition. But, with just six teams remaining, has the MKR winner already leaked?

Justin and Will were a clear frontrunner at the start of the season, with gatecrashers Marko and Danielle upping the ante when they received the highest score of the competition in round two of the Instant Restaurants. So, both teams have a track record that could see them take out the win.

While the MKR 2025 winners won’t be officially announced until the finale, fans are already speculating about who will take home the title. A recent poll in an MKR Facebook group had Marko and Danielle as clear frontrunners, with 62% of fans voting for them.

Sitting behind Justin and Will as the fan pick to win is Justin and Will with 25%. Michael and Rielli, Lol and Lil, Mark and Tan and Maria and Bailey all had fairly similar long odds with 4%, 4%, 3% and 2% respectively.

Do Marko and Danielle think they can win My Kitchen Rules 2025?

With fans backing Marko and Danielle to take out MKR 2025, Chattr asked the pair if they believe they have what it takes to win.

“We definitely have what it takes to win. No one has got a better Instant Restaurant score than us. We just need to figure out how to thrive in Kitchen HQ,” Marko told Chattr.

Danielle added that — like the fans — she believes that Justin and Will are their biggest threat in the kitchen.

“I think Justin and Will are our biggest competition. They seem to be the only team that’s truly thrived in Kitchen HQ so far,” she said.

My Kitchen Rules (MKR) airs on Monday and Tuesday nights at 7:30pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.

The Block’s Emma and Ben reveal whether winning big-ticket items impacts the reserve prices

The reserve prices determine how much The Block 2025 houses need to sell for — and ultimately, how much profit the contestants take home. But do the bonus prizes they’ve won throughout the season have any impact on that number?

With the auctions just around the corner, The Block teams are still waiting to find out their official reserve prices.

However, there have been some additional additions, such as a wine cellar by both Robby and Mat, as well as Emma and Ben.

Additionally, the contestants have won a substantial amount of sponsor prizes, including Mat and Robby’s $50,000 pickleball court and their $50,000 outdoor fireplace, as well as Britt and Taz’s win of kitchen appliances worth around $175,000. So, will these bonuses increase the reserve prices for the contestants who won them?

According to Emma and Ben, neither the prizes from challenge wins nor the extra rooms will affect the reserve prices.

“No, it doesn’t, that’s what we’ve been told,” Ben told Chattr.

“It might be a different story this week when we find out the auction reserve,” Emma added. “But, so far, we’ve been told that all the reserves are the same because they go off the original floor plan of the house design.”

Ben and Emma on The Block
Ben and Emma on The Block. Image: Nine.

What order would Ben and Emma want to go in The Block auction?

Each year, the contestants clash over auction order, often arguing that the house tipped to make the biggest profit should go first to set the tone for the day. Going last in the auctions is often considered a strong placement, too, because buyers who’ve missed out earlier might get more competitive.

The order for the 2025 auction orders hasn’t been decided yet, and Emma and Ben told Chattr they’re still trying to decide which spot would be ideal for them.

“We’re still discussing that,” Ben explained. “We’ve discussed it with our agent, and he’s still a little bit on the fence about whether he wants to go higher or lower [in the order]. We’ve got a couple more days to work it out.”

Emma added that she and Ben wanted to work out the order with their fellow contestants.

“On one of the [Block] getaways. We spoke to Scotty about it, and he said that it’s been won and lost from every position. So he didn’t say there was an advantage going first or last or I don’t know.

“I think it’s something we need to put a bit more thought into as well. We have been thinking about it, but even more so, have put some thought into it with our real estate and chat to our neighbours and see where everyone wants to go.”

No wonder fans are calling Emma and Ben the sweetest pair The Block has ever seen.

The Block auction airs on October 26th on Channel 9 and 9Now.

The Block’s Emma and Ben respond to mysterious video of Adrian Portelli in their wine cellar

Billionaire The Block buyer Adrian Portelli has been spotted filming a video in Emma and Ben’s Daylesford wine cellar, despite repeatedly indicating he wouldn’t be attending this year’s auctions.

Ray White real estate agent Jamee Favorito shared a video talking to Adrian about his path to success — and the background looked suspiciously familiar. It wasn’t long until followers pointed out in the comments section that Adrian and Jamee filmed the clip in Emma and Ben’s cellar.

“Bro at The Block… after they said he wouldn’t be back…” One person wrote. Another commented: “Stop buying the houses. I want to see actual auctions.” Jamee replied, saying that “someone just needs to outbid him”, and the user bit back, pointing out that it’s extremely hard to outbid a billionaire.

So, does Adrian’s appearance at House One mean that he’s a potential buyer? When Chattr asked Emma and Ben about Adrian visiting their house, they stayed coy.

“It’s AI, it’s AI,” Ben joked, notably not giving a simple explanation for Adrian’s visit.

On top of that, Jamee has repeatedly popped up at The Block this season, and Emma and Ben’s real estate agent is his Ray White colleague, Aaron Hill.

@jameerealty Adrian Portelli reveals his secret to success 💰🤫 @adrian_portelli is living proof that hard work pays off and that being a follower won’t make you successful. Create the trend don’t copy it 😎 #adrianportelli #theblock #fyp #billionaire #advice ♬ original sound – jameerealty

Will Adrian Portelli buy one of The Block 2025 houses?

During last year’s The Block auctions, where he spent $15 million and bought all five houses, Adrian Portelli said that it would be his last time at The Block auction day.

“I think this is the final one [auction day],” he said. “So, I’m going to hang the boots up and go out with a bang. So, I did.”

Then, earlier this year, The Block host Scott Cam told Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie that the show asked him not to come back, later reneaging and clarifying that Adrian wasn’t ‘banned’.

“We said to Adrian, ‘We’d love you not to come next year, if that’s alright…’ He said, ‘Yeah, okay, he won’t come,’” he explained.

“But he may come,” Scott continued. “We don’t know, but we do want to give mums and dads the opportunity to have a crack at a Block house … but if Adrian comes and wants to buy the lot of them, well, that rules them out.”

In July, the billionaire revealed he’d signed on for My Reno Rules, a new renovation series on Channel 7 — The Block’s rival network — making a return to the auctions seem even less likely.

However, as a Reddit user pointed out, Adrian initially said last year would be his last auction, not his last The Block purchase.

“He did say last year that he won’t be attending auctions but could send a buyer’s advocate like he did last year for two of the houses…” they wrote.

Another suggested that the clip of Adrian in Emma and Ben’s cellar might be a marketing technique to create buzz.

“Maybe done through the REA, because they know the level of interest in Portelli, and chasing clicks and views. Looks like it is working!”

Regardless, we can’t wait to see whether Adrian will attend this year’s auctions!

The Block auction airs on October 26th on Channel 9 and 9Now.

The Block’s Emma and Ben reveal which teams have met baby Bailey and if he’ll be at the auctions

The Block 2025‘s Emma and Ben welcomed their son Bailey Coulter Cox to the world on September 25, over a month before his due date, which was coincidentally meant to be right after The Block auctions.

“He arrived five weeks early because we were due two days after the actual auction, which I am grateful for, because I think if I was sitting at the auction heavily pregnant, I would be even more nervous,” Emma told Chattr.

Emma shared that she was in labour for just six hours, adding that Bailey was “on a mission to get here.”

“The birth was amazing. I couldn’t fault the amazing midwives that we had. It was a quick birth,” she said, while Ben laughed, “I bet you that’s the first time you’ve heard anyone say that the birth was amazing.”

The couple explained that ahead of the auction, all of the cast have been attending events at the Block site to meet potential buyers, adding that a few of the cast have already met baby Bailey.

Taz and Britt have met Bailey and Robby and Sonny, actually, just through events that we’ve been at the last week,” Emma said.

“We’ve been back and forth from the Block the last week, we only got Bailey out of the hospital a week ago. So, since having Bailey out, we’ve been up and back and doing events and meeting potential buyers. So we’re getting there as much as we can. We’re actually going there after this as well,” she added.

Will Emma and Ben’s baby be at The Block auction?

Emma and Ben confirmed that baby Bailey will be at The Block auctions on Saturday, October 25th, and shared an adorable detail about what he will wear.

The Block was talking about getting some little high vis for him, so he might be rocking some Hard Yakka or something,” Emma laughed.

She added that she and Ben have been discussing who will be taking care of Bailey while the auction takes place.

“I’m saying to Ben, maybe you won’t hold Bailey at the auction, because Ben’s feeling super nervous about the auction. I mean, so am I, but I feel like I’ll hold on to Bailey on auction day.”

“[We’re feeling] a bit of everything. It’s been nice. We’ve got a few events on before then, which are good distractions,” Ben added.

“We’re sort of just taking it one day, an event at a time, and I guess until next week. I reckon Monday, we’ll probably be done with all our events, and it’ll start sinking in that it’s imminent, but at the moment, I’m just excited.”

The Block auction airs on October 26th on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Has The Block 2025 winner already leaked?

The Block 2025 is nearing the end, and contestants — and fans — are gearing up for the all-important auction day.

On The Block, each house is set a reserve price at the end of the renovations. In the past, the reserve has varied depending on the size of the houses. However, every house this year has identical layouts, so they should all sit around the same mark.

On auction day, contestants get to take home whatever the houses sell for over the reserve. The house that has the highest amount of over-reserved money scores an extra $100,000 in prize money and is crowned the winner of The Block. Last year’s winners, Maddy and Charlotte, pocketed a whopping $1.65 million, including their winner’s prize.

While the winner of The Block 2025 isn’t officially revealed until the live auction, fans are sharing their predictions online, and there seems to be one team that viewers are convinced will win.

On top of that, in September, Australian betting site Sportsbet indicated which team may be walking out of the auctions triumphant. The odds have since been taken down now that the auction is nearing.

Han and Can on The Block.
Han and Can on The Block. Image: Nine.

Who do viewers think will win The Block?

The Block Facebook group is overflowing with fan predictions about who will win this season — and the overwhelming favourite is House 3, renovated by Britt and Taz.

However, House One (by Emma and Ben) and House Five (by Mat and Robby) are also popular choices among viewers.

One user even questioned if any of the houses would sell without Adrian Portelli and Danny Wallis spending up big at the auctions.

“It’ll be interesting to see if anyone wins. Their reserves are quite high and for any of them to walk away with substantial money the houses would have to sell for about $3.5 million. It’s a lot of money. Not sure they’re worth that much or there’s too many people around prepared to pay that,” they wrote.

What are the betting odds of who wins The Block 2025?

In September, fan favourites Robby and Mat had the best odds to win The Block 2025 with a return of $2.00, and Emma and Ben were second with $3.25.

Britt and Taz sat in the middle of the pack with a return of $4.00, and Sonny and Alicia were fourth with $7.50.

The betting website had Han and Can with the worst odds to win the show, at $10.00.

Robby and Mat on The Block.

How do betting odds work?

Betting odds are tied to dollar amounts, and those with lower odds are recognised as more likely to win, hence the lower return. For example, if someone bets $1.00 on Mat and Robby winning The Block and they do, they’d receive the amount that outcome is listed at, which is $2.00.

The return is based on how much someone bets, so if they bet $10.00 on the same thing, they’d receive $20.00. If they bet $100, they’d receive $200.00 and so on.

The Block 2025 airs on Sundays at 7:30pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

The Block 2025: Week 12 room reveals

Each week The Block 2025 cast will unveil their finished rooms to the judges in the hope of scoring glowing reviews and snagging some prize money to put towards their renovations.

During The Block 2025 premiere, the contestants were given a budget of $250,000 for their renovation. If they win challenges and the weekly room reveals, they have the potential to earn extra cash and furnishing vouchers.

Unlike some recent years, they were also given the entire renovation schedule, with suggested budgets for each room. In another new twist, every house this year is exactly the same in size and layout, so it will be up to the contestants to show their creativity and initiative in styling and make their choices really stand out.

However, it’s not just the winning teams that score prize money this year. The team that spends the least each week takes home a Commonwealth Bank $10,000 award for the best budget, matching the amount the best room receives in prize money.

Robby and Mat

Week 12 – Front Yard

It was a bit underwhelming this week, with the boys clearly facing budget challenges as they struggled to get everything finished. Still, the judges acknowledged it was a solid effort.

Cash Spent: Over by $57,151

Scores:

  • Dave: 9.5
  • Darren: 9.5
  • Marty: 9.5
  • Shaynna: 9.5

Total: 38

Week 11 – Backyard and Pool

The judges loved everything about Robby and Mat’s backyard — from the stunning open fireplace to the pool. While the cabana felt a little more basic compared to the others, there was still plenty of love for the space.

Cash Spent: $57,151

Scores:

  • Dave: 9.5
  • Darren: 9.5
  • Marty: 9.5
  • Shaynna: 9.5

Total: 38

Week 10 – Terrace and Shed

Wine Cellar

The judges couldn’t get enough of Robby and Mat’s spaces, especially the much-anticipated reveal of the wine cellar. Their shed-turned-gym was another standout, ticking all the right boxes. With three perfect tens, it was a huge week for the boys — and an emotional one too.

Cash Spent: Over by $14,232

Scores:

  • Darren: 10
  • Marty: 10
  • Shaynna: 10

Total: 30

Week 9 – Back of House

Robby and Mat delivered another beautiful space this week. The European laundry was a little too small for a luxury home like this one in Daylesford, but there was so much to love — especially their stunning powder room. Their only real miss was the decision not to tile the mudroom.

Scores:

  • Darren: 8.5
  • Marty: 8.5
  • Shaynna: 8.5

Total: 25.5

Week 8 – Guest Suite

It was a tough week for the boys, who unfortunately didn’t get to finish their guest suite. However, the judges loved the bedroom and didn’t mind that there was no kitchenette. It was just such a shame when they saw the unfinished bathroom — the judges agreed they would have been real contenders this week.

Cash Spent: $33,374

Scores:

  • Darren: 7
  • Marty: 7
  • Shaynna: 6.5

Total: 20.5

Week 7 – Kitchen (Tied winners with Britt and Taz)

There was plenty to love in Robby and Mat’s kitchen this week. The judges were impressed with the appliance choices and the sleek styling, while Shaynna praised the space for having real heart. The only question mark was the fake door leading into the main bedroom — but overall, it was a glowing week for the boys.

Cash Spent: $19,413

Scores:

  • Darren: 9.5
  • Marty: 9.5
  • Shaynna: 9.5

Total: 28.5

Week 6 – Rumpus Room

Not the boys’ finest week. They didn’t get to finish their rumpus room after a floorboard supply issue left them short. The judges thought they completely dropped the ball — the design was a poor effort and not very Daylesford. Shaynna was especially unimpressed with the overload of indoor plants.

Cash spent: $21,225

Scores:

  • Darren: 6
  • Marty: 6
  • Shaynna: 6

Total: 18

Week 5 – Living and Dining Room – Winners

Another week, another stand out result for Robby and Matt. Marty was left speechless (in the best way). He was very confident that this room will appeal to buyers. Shaynna was pleasantly surprised with the styling and the furniture choices were excellent. An extra point was awarded after playing the gnome.

Cash spent: $21,225

Scores:

  • Darren: 9.5
  • Marty: 9.5
  • Shaynna: 9.5

Total: 29.5 (after playing the gnome)

Week 4 – Main Bedroom

All three judges were impressed with the painting. Darren and Shaynna loved the four-poster bed, though Shaynna felt it was a little off-centre. Overall, the spaces were strong and very hard to fault.

Cash spent: $17,933

Scores:

  • Darren: 9
  • Marty: 8
  • Shaynna: 8

Total: 25

Week 3 – Main Bathroom

It was a strong week for both Robby and Matt, resonating with two of the judges. Darren described the bathroom styling as his “love language,” while Shaynna felt it lacked the same bravery they had shown in Weeks 1 and 2, but still loved a lot of things about it.

Scores:

  • Darren: 9.5
  • Marty: 9.75
  • Shaynna: 8

Total: 27.25

Week 2 – Kids Bedroom

Feeling bold after a few champagnes at last week’s celebratory dinner, Robby and Mat chose a daring material for their bedhead. However, the decision didn’t sit well with the judges, who said the room felt more like a grandma’s than a kid’s.

Cash spent: $24,432

Scores:

  • Darren: 7.5
  • Marty: 6.5
  • Shaynna: 6.5

Total: 20.5

Week 1 – Bathroom reveal

Robby and Mat were the only ones to have horizontal towel rails, which the judges loved. Shaynna, Darren and Marty loved the room and said it was a strong start for the mates.

Cash spent: $25,394

Scores:

  • Darren: 9
  • Marty: 9
  • Shaynna: 8.5

Total: 26.5

Sonny and Alicia

Week 12 – Front Yard – Winners

There was plenty of love for Sonny and Alicia this week — they didn’t put a foot wrong. The judges adored the plant choices, loved the open lawn for kids to play on, and couldn’t get enough of that kangaroo sculpture. After three months of trying, Sonny and Alicia finally take out the win! They score an MG for the house and another for home — which they’re gifting to Alicia’s mum — plus $10,000 in cash.

Cash Spent: $131,551

Scores:

  • Dave: 9
  • Darren: 9.5
  • Marty: 10
  • Shaynna: 9.5

Week 8 – Guest Suite

It was a great week for Sonny and Alicia, with the judges agreeing they’d really stepped it up. The judges loved the colour drenching, and the styling in both the bedroom and bathroom was minimal, but it absolutely worked.

Cash Spent: $31,077

Scores:

  • Darren: 9.5
  • Marty: 9
  • Shaynna: 9.5

Total: 28.5

Week 7 – Kitchen

Shaynna and Darren were big fans of this kitchen, especially the bold blue — a colour rarely seen on The Block. But Marty wasn’t impressed, calling it “as bland as a piece of bread.” His harsh critique even had Alicia admitting she’s starting to take his comments personally. Still, the judges agreed the reworked living and dining spaces were a huge improvement and finally feel like they’ve come together. Sonny and Alicia also took the $10,000 Commonwealth Bank budget award again.

Cash Spent: $12,103

Week 6 – Rumpus Room

A huge week for Sonny and Alicia! The judges loved everything about their rumpus room — especially the burgundy colour drenching, which Darren had been waiting on all season. Shaynna said the space feels quintessentially Daylesford. And to top it all off, Sonny and Alicia finished week 6 on a high, taking home the $260,000 Titanium caravan.

Week 5 – Living and Dining Room

This week was nothing short of a disaster. The judges found fault with almost everything, starting with the spatial planning — which they felt was completely off. The living room felt cramped and cluttered, a huge missed opportunity that left the judges disappointed. They said Sonny and Alicia had a lot of work to do before the auction as they’ll have to completely salvage it with new furniture choices. However, one positive was that the judges loved the brick fireplace.

Cash spent: $19,999

Scores:

  • Darren: 8
  • Marty: 6.5
  • Shaynna: 6.5

Total: 20.5

Week 4 – Main Bedroom

The judges kicked off with praise for Sonny and Alicia, calling their lighting plan the best on The Block this week. But that’s where the compliments ended. The painting missed the mark, and the room felt too spacious. Shaynna thought it all came across as corporate, while Marty said the walk-in wardrobe looked like it belonged in a Southbank apartment. Sonny and Alicia were devastated.

Cash spent: $19,172

Scores:

  • Darren: 7
  • Marty: 7.5
  • Shaynna: 7

Total: 21.5

Week 3 – Main Bathroom

Sonny and Alicia’s bathroom could woo buyers, but the judges weren’t loving the scattershot layout — and one side’s styling totally fell flat. The pair promised it’ll all click once the main bedroom and walk-in robe are unveiled. On the bright side, the Gold Coast duo snagged their second $10k Commonwealth Bank win in a row.

Week 11 – Backyard and Pool

Marty wasn’t a fan of Han and Can’s Japanese-inspired garden from the start, while Shaynna, Darren and Dave had mixed opinions. But today, Shaynna was their biggest supporter. The judges did all agree on one thing — the Japanese-inspired arbour was a standout.

Week 10 – Terrace and Shed

It wasn’t the best week for Han and Can, with the judges struggling to find much to love. Both the Alfresco and Shed areas were clearly unfinished, and the design choices didn’t quite hit the mark. Shaynna wasn’t convinced by the Japanese garden either, calling it a bit redundant. In the shed, Han poured plenty of energy into the art studio, but the judges felt most of it just wasn’t needed.

Still, there was a silver lining — the girls took out the $20,000 Commonwealth Bank Jackpot Award. So, not a total loss after all.

Week 7 – Kitchen

It was a week of highs and lows for Han and Can. Marty and Darren adored the kitchen and were full of praise, but Shaynna wasn’t convinced. For her, it lacked soul and missed the essence of Daylesford. Marty, ever the real estate agent, called it flamboyant and highly marketable. But when it came to the rangehood, all the judges — and even host Scott Cam — agreed it was far too low. Overall? A real mix of feedback for the girls.

Week 6 – Rumpus Room – Winners

Lots of love this week for Han and Can. The judges loved the layout of the cinema room, and the furniture choices were perfect — including the couch. Marty thinks this room is very marketable. Week 4 – Main Bedroom

Marty came in swinging, saying he hated everything about Han and Can’s room this week. The bold blue was “too much” and needed to go. The judges did like the walk-in wardrobe, but Shaynna wasn’t convinced. She felt the girls’ home was having an identity crisis, with the main bedroom, wardrobe and bathroom all feeling completely different.

Britt and Taz

Week 12 – Front Yard

It was disappointing feedback for Britt and Taz this week. The judges felt the front garden was too sparse, with not enough planting to bring it to life. They did, however, love the outdoor cinema along the side of the house.

Week 11 – Backyard and Pool

There was plenty of love for Britt and Taz’s wellness-inspired back garden. The judges adored the plant choices and how seamlessly everything flowed together outdoors. While there was some debate about the practicality of the outdoor creeks, overall, it was a positive week for the pair.

The judges were impressed with the outdoor alfresco area but felt it was missing a lounge space to really complete it. They loved one half of the shed but said the speakeasy didn’t meet compliance. And after suggesting a Pilates studio week after week, they were left wondering why Britt and Taz didn’t take their advice.

Week 8 – Guest Suite

The judges absolutely loved Britt and Taz’s bedroom — the styling was beautiful and full of charm. They did think it was a little too rustic, but overall, there were plenty of positives. The judges really felt for Britt and Taz after seeing their unfinished bathroom, but their bedroom earned them some well-deserved praise.

Week 7 – Kitchen – Tied winners with Robby and Mat

Britt and Taz bounced back to the top this week with a kitchen that wowed the judges from every angle. The E&S appliances from week 2 added to the impact, but it was the design that truly stole the show. The ceiling left everyone impressed, Darren raved about the smart layout and breathtaking architecture, and Shaynna felt the space had a real emotional connection.

Week 6 – Rumpus Room

Unfortunately, not a great week for Britt and Taz as the judges think they completely missed the mark by turning the rumpus into a wellness room. This means they only have one living space in what’s meant to be a luxury home. The judges have advised Britt and Taz to rethink what they are doing. But will they listen? They plan to consult their real estate agent.

Week 5 – Living and Dining Room

Another strong room from Britt & Taz. The judges were taken by the timber detailing in the roof, calling it a beautiful blend of mid-century country — very Daylesford. Shaynna even said that it could have been a perfect 10, but the layout let it down as the couch wasn’t quite in the right place.

Vanity

Marty reckoned the room had “upmarket abattoir” vibes — luckily, Britt and Taz took it on the chin. The judges weren’t sold on the bathroom’s design choices either, with an arched shower screen and a square door that Marty thought was a total mismatch.

Week 10 – Terrace and Shed

The judges loved Emma and Ben’s stunning architectural choices in their Alfresco area. Shaynna, though, felt it leaned a little too far into the black-on-black look. She wanted to see a touch more colour and softness to balance it out. They were also big fans of the garage, especially that incredible golf simulator. But again, Shaynna thought the overall vibe was a bit too masculine.

Some mixed feedback for Emma and Ben this week. The judges loved the elevated appliances in the laundry but felt the space itself wasn’t very functional — and the same went for the pantry area. Unfortunately, this was Emma and Ben’s first room that didn’t win the judges over. The layout felt off, with the couch in the wrong place, and overall, the space just didn’t deliver.
