Jack begins his exit strategy and all the other bombshells from the MAFS Commitment Ceremony

xxx

Sunday night’s MAFS Commitment Ceremony was brutal and saw multiple participants tell their partners that they weren’t attracted to them.

On top of that, there was a couple who decided to leave, which didn’t exactly come as a surprise.

Let’s dive straight into what happened, shall we?

Ben and Ellie

Ben and Ellie’s time on the couch wasn’t such a bombshell, because it was pretty obvious that they’d be leaving the experiment.

However, it was rather entertaining watching John Aiken call Ben out and tell him that he wasted Ellie and the expert’s time.

Ellie wrote: Leave

Ben wrote: Leave.

Verdict: They’re (finally) leaving.

Tori and Jack

As always, Tori and Jack’s couch session was the juiciest of the bunch. Interestingly, Jack pulled the submissive card and said he was scared of “letting Tori down”. He explained that he wasn’t sure he could be the man that Tori wanted. Sounds like a bit of an exit strategy, if you ask us.

Another bombshell saw Tori compare Tim’s Dinner Party comment about Jaden being “nothing”, to Jack’s infamous “muzzle your wife” Dinner Party comment.

“The comment there was just as destructive as the comment Jack made last week,” she said.

Tori’s analysis was met with a shocked look by both her fellow brides and grooms, as well as the experts.

Regardless Jack and Tori, of course, left the couch together.

Tori wrote: Stay.

Jack wrote: Stay.

Verdict: They’re staying.

Lucinda and Timothy

Lucinda and Timothy banded together and presented a united front. Of course, Jayden tried to tear into the couple, but Lucinda put her foot down and didn’t have a bar of it.

“Jayden, we’ve let go of some really big armour in the past couple of days, genuinely,” she told him. “We’ve got a lot of respect and regard for each other. We’re doing it at a pace that Tim’s comfortable with and I’m up for the journey, I’m really happy.”

Lucinda wrote: Stay.

Timothy wrote: Stay.

Verdict: They’re staying.

Cassandra and Tristan

Unlike last week, Cassandra and Tristan’s time on the couch was short and sweet. The pair quickly told the expert that things had turned around for them, then were promptly booted off the couch.

Cassandra wrote: Stay.

Tristan wrote: Stay.

Verdict: They’re staying.

Eden and Jayden

Eden revealed that Jayden’s brother Mitch (who we all know from MAFS 2023) asked them how they would rank their feelings for each other out of ten. Surprisingly, Eden said she’s only at a 7, while Jayden is at a 9.5, so we all know who are the strongest feelings in this couple!

Eden wrote: Stay.

Jayden wrote: Stay.

Verdict: They’re staying.

Andrea and Richard

Andrea explained that they had “the worst week” and that she and Richard fought a lot. Richard explained that he felt rejected because of the lack of physical intimacy.

“The insecurity comes from being in a relationship for five weeks with someone who has no feelings for me, while I have feelings for her,” he said.

The experts tried to get him to understand that Andrea was showing her commitment through other, non-sexual, measures. Whether their advice worked or not – the jury is still out.

Andrea wrote: Stay.

Richard wrote: Stay.

Verdict: They’re staying.

Lauren and Jonathan

Lauren revealed that she has “zero romantic feelings” for Jonathan and said she’s looking for more banter.

The experts asked the couple if they’d connected on a deeper level, which they both confirmed they hadn’t. They were encouraged to try and open up to each other more, in order to help their lack of spark.

Jonathan wrote: Stay.

Verdict: They’re staying.

Sara and Tim

Sara really opened up during the Commitment Ceremony, and said that she was worried that she was too big of a personality for Tim.

Tim sweetly reassured her and said that she shows him every day that his voice matters and his opinion matters.

He even capped it off by saying it was the “best week”!

Sara wrote: Stay.

Tim wrote: Stay.

Verdict: They’re staying.

Jade and Ridge

Ridge and Jade are very quickly becoming the most heartwarming couple of the bunch. During their time on the couch, Ridge opened up about how he could see a future with jade, and the whole thing was absolutely adorbs.

Jade wrote: Stay.

Ridge wrote: Stay.

Verdict: They’re staying.

Stephen and Michael

Eek this one was hard to watch. After being pushed by the experts, Stephen revealed that he wasn’t physically attracted to Michael, and wasn’t sure if he could get there.

“The physical side of things, probably not so much still. I think that typically Michael is a little bit more feminine than what I’m drawn to,” Stephen said.

While Michael said it “felt s**t” to hear, both grooms were willing to work on their connection and see if they could improve it.

Michael wrote: Stay.

Stephen wrote: Stay.

Verdict: They’re staying.
