Farmer Wants A Wife’s Farmer Jarrad has been slammed online for his odd behaviour on the show. Some viewers believe he’s not there for the right reasons, and others are concerned by the age difference when it comes to his Ladies. The 41-year-old farmer was matched with six women in their early 30s, along with 40-year-old Hannah and 37-year-old Kristy.
He’s also a bit of a social media influencer, with over 55,000 followers on TikTok. He’s not afraid of the camera, and his top three videos racked up over 1.5 million views. Could he be there for the wrong reasons?
“Does anyone else get [bad] vibes from Farmer Jarrad?” one person asked in a popular Farmer Wants A Wife fan group. “I can’t put my finger on what it is. Maybe [when he said] he previously liked independent women but ‘needs’ someone more ‘nurturing’ and dependent on him [now] perhaps.”
The comment section was flooded with people agreeing, and one FWAW fan called Farmer Jarrad a “walking red flag”.
“Most of the time he seems so disinterested in the whole thing,” another pointed out.
“I have that same feeling like he is interviewing for a babysitter,” a third remarked.
“I find there is something but can’t put my finger on it. Something is going on with him. Just my point of view,” another wrote.
“Something about him doesn’t sit right with me either. He’s very handsome and all nice in front of the camera but I get the feeling he would be difficult to live with. Don’t know why, I just do,” a fan added.

Farmer Jarrad says he was out of his ‘comfort zone’
In an interview with Chattr, Farmer Jarrad admitted he found it “scary” to be on Farmer Wants A Wife, which could be one explanation for how he’s coming across on TV.
“At the time going into it, I thought well, you[‘ve] got to [get] out [of] your comfort zone, you [have] to take risks sometimes,” he said. “I guess that’s why I’ve done it… [but] I’m definitely a little bit scared to watch it [on TV].”
As for whether he had any drama on his farm, Farmer Jarrad said he was one of the lucky ones.
“There might have been a little bit, like a few isolated issues, but overall the girls got along really well, and they’re very respectful,” he told us.
“I felt very lucky with the girls that I had because they… treated each other well and [with respect].”
Farmer Wants A Wife (FWAW) airs Sundays – Tuesdays on Channel 7 and 7Plus.
