It's been 10 months since the disastrous auction.

Almost a year after it was put on the market, Han and Can‘s The Block house has sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars less than the original asking price.

The house that Han and Can renovated on The Block last year was originally listed with a reserve of $2.99 million. The silence was deafening at their auction, with not a single bidder raising their paddle, and their home was passed in after a vendor bid was put in for $3.10 million.

In June, Han and Can‘s house’s listing price was slashed to $2.59 million, and it’s now been updated to ‘under offer’. While information about the accepted offer isn’t publicly available yet, there’s every chance that it could have been lower than $2.59 million, especially considering its lengthy time on the market.

Han and Can understood the risk of their house not selling at auction

The Block 2025’s auction day was disastrous for most, with only Britt and Taz’s house selling at a substantial profit of $420,000 over reserve.

Chattr spoke with Han and Can’s realtor a week after the auction, and she said the couple were in a good place, despite the disappointing result.

“They’re amazing. They are genuinely amazing women. They have been really positive. They’ve been really upbeat,” Belle Property’s Natalie Fagan told Chattr in an exclusive interview at the time.

“They understand that [the house not selling at auction is] a risk you take with the competition, which is what The Block is. But I think that they’ve been extremely gracious, and I think that they’ve handled the whole situation very, very well, and we are still in contact almost daily with them, and all of our interactions have been really lovely.”

At the time, Natalie warned that Han and Can’s house may take a while to sell, and she wasn’t wrong.

However, while Natalie has been inundated with interest in Han and Can’s house, she did warn that the process of selling a house after The Block auction isn’t usually instantaneous.

“Typically, The Block houses, when they are passed in at auction, do take a little while to sell,” she advised.

“And, Daylesford does have a three to four months average days on market. That’s quite normal for here. I’d love to get them a speedy sale, but just because the days on market may be longer, that’s not unusual for the area.”

The Block airs on Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 10 and 10Play.
