The Block 2025 couple Emma and Ben welcomed their baby boy into the world, and we’re so happy for them! The pair shared a snap on Instagram and announced their carefully chosen name.
“Welcome to the world, Bailey Colter Cox, born 25/09/2025, weighing 2.78 kilos, five weeks early, but perfectly healthy!” the post read.
Their baby’s due date was October 28, three days before the auction, and the couple told Chattr there would have been a helicopter on standby if Emma hadn’t given birth by then. At least that eliminates one potential dramatic event from The Block 2025 auction!
Prior to Bailey’s birth, the couple shared their thoughts on how they’d be as new parents, and it’s very sweet. “I think Ben will be the most incredible dad ever,” Emma said. “He’s like… just so loving and knowledgeable. And I think our little man will just follow in [his] footsteps.
“[Ben will] be able to play footy with him and run around with him, and I don’t know, just he’ll be a miniature [Ben].”
Ben also raved about Emma’s “positivity and joy”, saying she would be an amazing mother. “It’s infectious whoever she’s around, it just, it rubs off on them, and you can’t be unhappy [when you’re] around Emma.
“For the 12 weeks [we had to keep the baby news a secret] I was lucky I had her by my side, and the rest of my life. So, yeah, she’s a really great mum. I know she’ll take to it,” he said.
How did Emma and Ben choose their baby name?
While The Block’s Emma and Ben haven’t confirmed how they settled on Bailey Colter for their baby boy’s name, they did spill some secrets to Chattr prior to the birth.
“We have a shortlist of boy names,” Emma said at the time, before Ben explained they had been trying out an app called Kinder.
“Have you heard of a baby app named Kinder? It’s Tinder for baby names, and you both download this app on your phone, and then names will pop up,” Ben said.
“If you both swipe right to the name, it goes, you’ve got a match. Anyway, Em was showing me this app for the first time, and it’s on the phone, and she’s like as an example, the first name that pops up is Falcon.
“I’m like, that’s it! That’s decided!”
Bailey could make his first TV appearance during The Block 2025 auction, so hopefully his parents win big and make history.
The Block 2025 airs on Sundays at 7:30pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
