My Kitchen Rules MKR Shoey Michael Mark

My Kitchen Rules (MKR) 2025 contestants Michael and Rielli lost a bet with Mark and Tan after they scored lower than the Gatecrashers during the second Instant Restaurant round. Michael’s punishment? Doing a shoey out of judge Manu Feildel’s dirty boot.

While it looked quite disgusting — Manu had made sure to wear the shoe for two nights in a row — Michael didn’t feel any shame about drinking from the dirty boot.

“I’ve done shoeys out of a lot worse shoes,” Michael tells Chattr. “There was one way to describe it, and [the word is] ‘iconic’. We’re a little bit disappointed that we lost the bet, but at the same time, Mark was sitting at the table, jealous that he didn’t get to drink out of Manu’s shoe.”

The pair swear that Mark wants to be Michael, and claim Mark would have jumped at the chance to do a shoey.

“[Mark] literally said, ‘Can I do it next?’. And if that’s not a perfect example of Mark wanting to be Michael, I don’t know what is,” Rielli says.

“He didn’t want to lose. But now that Michael got to do it, he does want to lose. Anyway, I thought it was iconic. Imagine being able to say that you did a shoey out of Manu’s famous boot. Come on.”

Where do Michael and Rielli stand with Mark and Tan now?

According to Mark and Tan, they are on good terms with Michael and Rielli outside of MKR.

“We’re all good with them. You know, at the end of the day, it’s like when you jump onto a field or something in a game, you know you’re going to be competitive,” Mark told us.

“But off the field, you know what I mean, it’s different. I don’t think they’re bad people. I think they’re quite nice, but I think they probably just go a little bit far with certain things.”

However, Michael and Rielli didn’t hold back when talking to Chattr recently about how Mark and Tan shouldn’t be in the competition. “In general, they don’t really give anything to the table. They’re just annoying and boring,” she said.

Wonder if this will change Mark’s mind about where they stand with Michael and Rielli now?

My Kitchen Rules (MKR) airs on Monday and Tuesday nights at 7:30pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.
