MKR 2025 Lol Lil Manu Colin judges favouritism

Lol and Lil have faced some nasty comments since competing on My Kitchen Rules (MKR) 2025, but there’s one narrative that they’ve labelled “disgusting”. Some MKR fans online have accused judges Colin Fassnidge and Manu Feildel of having favourites, and claim the pair prefer Lol and Lil because of the way they look and dress.

The contestants say they see Colin and Manu as father figures, and dismiss any talk of favouritism. “It’s definitely not a narrative we want to be a part of,” Lol tells Chattr. “There’s been some really disgusting comments. And Manu and Colin have families and teenage daughters, and I just think everyone needs to have some respect for every party involved.

“They have teenage daughters, [imagine] you log online and you see things about your dad, or things like that. It’s not even really about us. There’s a few parties involved.”

Lil agrees and says people have taken it too far. “They really did support us along the way, and we had a good connection with them, like we laughed at their jokes, they laughed at our jokes. It’s honestly just friendly banter, and people just take that and run with these crazy stories,” Lil says.

The eliminated MKR contestants think the narrative is “ridiculous” and feel people are wasting their time by floating odd theories online. Besides, the Logan Bogans didn’t take out the title, so if there was even a hint of bias in the competition, it didn’t help them win $100,000.

Would Lol and Lil return for MKR: Back To Win?

The bubbly best friends have had their ups and downs on MKR, but their cooking has gone from strength to strength. They have listened carefully to the feedback from the judges, and in their semi-final, the pair showcased some technique when cooking lobster.

Lol says it they were invited back for MKR: Back To Win, she would be there, “hands down”. However, she’d have to convince Lil to step back into the kitchen.

“I don’t know. I think one’s enough for me,” Lil admits. “It was really good, it was a great experience. But I’m like, the pressure. I don’t do pressure, and that pressure was next level… maybe with a little bit of convincing, I might change my mind.”

The MKR grand final will air on Sunday, November 16 on Channel 7 and 7plus.
