We’re down to just two contestants on MasterChef Australia 2025, and we’ve discovered a major hint about the leaked winner from none other than judge Andy Allen himself.
Spoiler warning: If you don’t want to find out anything about who wins MasterChef Australia 2025, please look away now. This is your final spoiler warning!
When Chattr first spoke to judge Andy at the start of MasterChef Australia, did he give a very big hint? Andy couldn’t help but gush about Laura Sharrad, who has now made it to the MasterChef Australia 2025 finale along with Callum Hann.
“I just can’t help but single out Laura, who’s a new mum. She had a six-month-old baby when she walked back into the kitchen this year; she’s got businesses,” Andy told Chattr.
“For her to drop everything, and just for that, probably, last chance of lifting that trophy, just goes to show, like, after 17 seasons, where we’re still going strong, which is lovely.”
Andy judged Laura during his first season as a MasterChef judge back in Season 12, and he recalled how close she was to winning the title. “If it wasn’t for an icy Jerusalem artichoke ice cream, then she may have come out on top,” he said.
Production insider gives MasterChef Australia winner intel
Former MasterChef producer Alexandria Funnell took to TikTok to answer common questions she’s been asked about the show, and dropped another big clue about the winner.
“One little tidbit for this season is I know somebody, well, I know a few people that are currently working on it, and they told me that people will not be happy with the winner,” Alexandra revealed.
“I haven’t watched this season, I don’t know what that means, I don’t know if that’s significant. I don’t know if that’s leaking anything, but people will be potentially perturbed, according to an insider.”
The comments section has followers suggesting that Alexandria is referring to Laura Sharrad, who’s copped a lot of backlash from viewers on social media this season, with many calling her a “judge favourite”.
“That tip confirms my suspicions that Laura is going to win. They are pushing her as the winner so hard. She’s a great cook, but I do feel that it’s been pretty unfair for the other contestants,” one person commented.

Fans point out telling detail about who won MasterChef Australia 2025
Some fans have pointed out a detail that means the winner may have been leaked. Taking to a popular MasterChef Australia Facebook group, one eagle-eyed fan shared that every contestant on a promotional poster has been eliminated… except for one.
“Well, if you believe that the poster tells you the winner, Laura [Sharrad] is the only one left from the promo poster. So I guess the winner has been announced,” the fan claimed.
Another agreed, saying: “When they start the programme, Laura is holding up a trophy.”
However, another pointed out that production often films multiple endings so the winner doesn’t get leaked. Plus, Emilia Jackson won the show in 2020, but she wasn’t included in the original promo imagery.
Other fans weren’t too keen on the idea of Laura taking out the crown, with many preferring Callum Hann to walk away victorious.
“Laura has had her day in the sun with the Coles ice cream promotion. Might be someone else [who wins]? Depinder [Chhibber], Sarah [Todd] or Callum?” a fan pondered.
“I stopped watching because I’m sick of watching [Laura] cook and getting the most air time,” another added.
“I hope it’s not her, she’s painful. I’d love to see Callum win,” a third said.

What are the odds of who wins MasterChef Australia 2025?
According to Sportsbet, their last published odds had Laura Sharrad tipped as the winner with odds of $5.00. Callum is tipped with the next highest odds at $10.00.
Depinder was tipped to come in 3rd with her odds at $11.00. Jamie was the least favoured to win out of the top four, with odds at $13.00.
But, as any gambler will tell you, the odds aren’t the be-all end-all. The unexpected happens all the time.

Who wins MasterChef Australia 2025?
Recently eliminated contestant Andre Ursini believes both Callum and Laura have what it takes to go all the way. Could there be truth to this Laura rumour, after all?
“It’s pretty hard to win MasterChef. You need to be good at everything. There’s so many different aspects to it — you need to be good at team challenges, which require a certain skill set. You need to be good at your single dishes, individual dishes, which is another skill set. And you need to be good at following recipes and Pressure Tests,” Andre tells Chattr.
“Callum and Laura are top level at all of the aspects of MasterChef… [but] for me, a dark horse is Depinder,” he reveals. “Everyone who’s a good game player in MasterChef has their own angle at MasterChef. And it was quite interesting for me to sit back and watch their angles, because I didn’t have one. I just went [to] create chaos and have fun.”

Looks like there’s a pretty big chance that Laura is the winner of MasterChef Australia 2025 — but anything can happen in the heat of the kitchen. We’ll have to sit tight and wait for the grand finale to drop.
MasterChef Australia airs on Sunday at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 10 and 10Play.
