Steve on MAFS

Every year, Married at First Sight (MAFS) tends to have one mature couple, and 50-year-old Steve Powell is this season’s groom!

Steve has been married before and has four daughters, and he’s hoping to find someone on MAFS to enjoy the rest of his life with.

Read on to find out everything we know about MAFS 2026’s groom, Steve Powell.

What happened to Steve’s last relationship?

Steve was previously married to the mother of his kids, but their relationship didn’t work out. In his Channel 9 bio, Steve admitted he was selfish in the past, putting his wants and needs above his partners, which led to the demise of his past relationships.

Hopefully, Steve can learn from his mistakes and find a lasting connection on MAFS!

What is Steve looking for in a partner?

Steve considers himself a fashionable, cultured, good-time guy. He’s hoping to find a sociable woman who enjoys going out and the simple luxuries of life — and doesn’t mind sharing a drink or two with him.

He’s also hoping that MAFS will guide him to find true love again and help him meet his forever person.

Who is Steve paired with on MAFS?

Steve is paired with a 51-year-old Rebecca, who has a nineteen-year-old son called Austin. She’s looking for a man who is her equal, who oozes confidence and loves the finer things in life — which sounds a lot like Steve!

If you’re curious about whether Rebecca and Steve are still together in real life, head here. Otherwise, you’ll have to wait to find out what happens throughout the experiment.

Married at First Sight (MAFS) 2026 airs Monday – Thursday at 7:30pm this week on Channel 9 and 9Now.
