Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2026 fans have turned on Steve Powell for his “disgusting” behaviour during last night’s episode. Not only has he been treating his wife Rebecca Zukowski poorly, but he also got into a heated argument with beloved expert Alessandra Rampolla.
When Alessandra tried to probe into what Steve’s problem was with Rebecca, he became very defensive and accused the expert of wearing an earpiece and repeating what producers wanted her to say.
“I don’t have an earpiece in my ear. I’m not waiting for someone to tell me what to say,” he declared.
Alessandra was furious with the groom, and gave him a stern talking to. “Honestly, the lack of respect that you’re showing me as someone who’s here to help guide you is appalling,” she said, before warning him not to continue. “Really tread lightly — I don’t take to this well.”
Fans quickly took to social media to discuss Steve’s petulant outburst.
“I saw some disgusting behaviour tonight from Steve as he dragged [his] teddy through the sandpit. You need to grow up, fella, don’t act like some two-year-old having a temper tantrum! What a tosser,” one person wrote.
“I feel like he’s got a lot of resentment towards his ex and it’s become a blanket hatred of all women his age. I get the impression he’s more wanting someone much younger and easy to control during his midlife crisis,” another theorised.
“He’s worse than the ‘mean girls’ to be honest. He’s gutless the way he criticised her in green flag, red flag, then backflipped when in front of her. He’s a disrespectful narcissist who thinks only of himself,” a third chimed in.
“No wonder he can’t find someone, because there is no woman on earth who would want to date him,” another remarked.

It doesn’t look good for Rebecca and Steve, with the bride moving out of their shared apartment during the last episode.
