Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2026 viewers have rallied around Luke Fourniotis after he was rejected by his wife Mel Akbay. He’s possibly the most-loved man in Australia right now, and many fans want Luke to be matched with a new wife.
However, there’s one option that will be familiar to many MAFS fans: last year’s bride Jamie Marinos. There have been multiple fan edits made shipping Luke and Jamie together, with parallels drawn between his frosty reception from Mel and Jamie’s cold shoulder from Dave Hand near the end of the experiment.
Jamie has seen the edits, so what does she really think? Is she going to swoop in and couple up with farmer Luke?
“It’s actually so funny, this online movement kind of came out of nowhere shipping I guess like Luke and I, I’ve seen a few edits come up, which is really funny because I’m not even on this season,” Jamie tells Chattr.
“But you know, obviously I think Australia is having a bit of crush on Luke because he seems so beautiful, he’s a handsome boy, I definitely can’t wait to meet him, anyways, the MAFS world is interconnected. I just want to give him a big hug, especially when he was crying and sad, I think we all felt for him.”
While Jamie says she isn’t sure if there’s a potential relationship there, she doesn’t dismiss the idea completely. Jamie-Luke stans, rise up!
“I can’t say if I’d go on a date with him, because I don’t actually know him yet, or know him properly,” Jamie admits. “But I definitely, you know, look forward to meeting him one day.”

One fan uploaded a TikTok captioned “The MAFS love story we really needed”, cutting together images of Luke and Jamie. In less than 24 hours, the video has already had over 100,000 views and thousands of comments.

“Would they not be perfect though, I can’t stand to see the hurt again,” a fan replied.
Some fans have even been using AI to combine Luke and Jamie’s wedding photos. Sounds like Jamie needs to slide into his DM’s ASAP!
