MAFS Alissa spliced with Scott and Gia leaving

Gia Fleur has quit the Married at First Sight (MAFS) experiment for the second time this season, and this time she’s taken her husband Scott McCristal with her. Fellow bride Alissa Fay, who watched Gia and Scott storm out from her apartment window, has criticised the couple for choosing to leave, adding that she hopes they don’t return to the experiment.

“That’s just what Gia does. She’s up and leaves every single time, and I’m just like, f**king leave. Just leave and be gone. Life will be better without her in the experiment anyway. We’ve all had enough of that. All of us are just like, just leave. Girl, go,” Alissa told Chattr.

Alissa pointed out that she thinks it’s “immature” of Gia to run away when the going gets tough, and believes that she should push herself and stay for the sake of working on her and Scott’s relationship, even if it’s uncomfortable for her.

“That’s not how you deal with things as an adult. Do you think you just up and leave your husband and your kids when things get hard? No, you’ve got to work at it,” she explained.

“You’ve got to you’ve got to shift things, your mindset. You’ve got to make changes. You know, just be a better human. It’s not hard.”

There’s been a huge amount of walkouts this season — Tyson Gordon, Brook Crompton and Juliette Chae Fava all stormed off during Commitment Ceremonies. While Tyson and Juliette left for good, Brook popped up for the next Dinner Party before leaving again a few days later.

Of course, Gia also ‘quit’ the experiment after a fight with Scott over photos of his ex, before returning shortly after. She also threatened to leave after bailing out of the most recent Commitment Ceremony, when the heat was on her after Alissa was told about texts sent about her behind her back.

While we don’t yet know whether Gia and Scott will come back, Alissa told Chattr that she doesn’t agree with contestants being allowed to make a big fuss and leave, only to return immediately afterwards and continue in the experiment.

“If they leave, they need to leave. If they’re leaving, they should just be gone. You can’t come back. If you’re leaving, then you don’t have the option. I’m sorry. Like, you can’t just chop and change.”

Do Gia and Scott return to MAFS after exiting the experiment?

Spoiler warning: if you don’t want to find out about whether Scott and Gia return to the MAFS experiment, you should stop reading now!

Gia and Scott are noticeably missing from the preview for tonight’s Dinner Party, fuelling speculation that their time in the experiment may be over. However, an Instagram post promoting tonight’s Dinner Party confirms that Scott and Gia will be there.

The official Married at First Sight (MAFS) Instagram page shared a carousel of all the brides and grooms — including Scott and Gia — dressed up in their Dinner Party outfits, and eagle-eyed fans pointed out their return in the comments section.

“Ohh, looks like Gia and Scott are still there, of course,” one person wrote. Another penned: “NOOOOO!! Not Gia coming back.”

It’s safe to say that Alissa probably feels the same way.

Married at First Sight (MAFS) 2026 airs Sunday – Wednesday on Channel 9 and 9Now.
