While Gia and Bec have been positioned as sworn enemies on Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2026, photos circulating online suggest the pair were far more friendly after filming wrapped.
After Gia told Chattr that Bec hired a publicist during her time on MAFS — and an insider claimed she was encouraged to play up a feud with Gia for media attention — fans are now questioning whether the on-screen drama was genuine.
So, we decided to get to the bottom of it and ask both women where their relationship stands now. Read on to find out!
Fans have spotted Bec and Gia being friendly on social media
Fans have done a deep dive on Bec and Gia’s Instagram accounts and found a number of friendly comments the brides have posted on one another’s pics.
In one of the posts, Gia commented, “Beautiful girl”, to which Bec responded: “Love u. GET READY.” In another, Gia calls Bec one of her “gals”.
Gia has her comments turned off on Instagram, but Bec has liked numerous posts of hers recently.

Bec and Gia grew a friendship before falling out post-filming
In an interview with Chattr, Bec said that after MAFS had finished filming, she and Gia tried to form a friendship, but it all fell apart shortly after.
“Gia and I left the show after we’d finished filming and whatnot, and… we tried to be friends. We did. We tried to be,” she said.
While Bec didn’t spill on exactly what went down between the pair outside of filming, she made it clear that things are frosty between the two brides.
“I removed Gia, I blocked Gia,” Bec told Chattr, despite Gia’s comments still remaining on Bec’s photos. Bec appears to be currently following Gia on Instagram.
“And, I’m 36 on Wednesday, and I have been out of high school for a very long time, and I surround myself with people that I love and that love me, and I only want to be friends with people who, when I’m not in the room, are speaking highly of me,” she said.
“And I didn’t feel that that was what I was getting with Gia, and therefore I decided to remove myself from that friendship, and that’s the end of it. There will not be another friendship at all.”
Gia made it clear that she’s not close with Bec anymore, either.
“I think with Bec there are two sides, and she likes to be careful, and she wants to say things in a certain way, and kind of a little bit get away with it,” she told Chattr.
“Whereas I just say whatever’s on my mind, there’s no filter. I’ll say the same thing behind your back that I’d say to your face. There’s no difference.”
Gia said she felt like Bec judged her straight away at the Hen’s party — something Bec admitted to during the red flag green flag challenge — adding that it was what ultimately triggered her to clap back at Bec.
“I don’t know if it’s there’s insecurities there, or what it is that she felt the need to look at me at face value and just assume that I’m this and that. But yeah, that’s essentially what she did, and I felt attacked.”

Gia claims Bec came onto MAFS with a publicist
In an interview with Chattr, Gia claimed that Bec came onto MAFS with a publicist she had hired to help manage her image.
“We have to remember that Bec came into the show with a PR team; no one else did. She had a PR person that she would meet with every week,” Gia said.
“I said it multiple times [on the show] that her PR team is working overtime tonight,” she added. “A lot of things are very calculated by her part, on the show. So [viewers] will hopefully see that.”
Another source close to production backed Gia’s claims.
“Bec engaged a publicist from at least October — possibly earlier — who advised that a ‘feuding to friends’ storyline between Bec and Gia is an epic angle that the media will lap up. They also told Bec that their main concern was protecting her reputation and presenting her in the best light possible for future media opportunities,” the insider said.
“Filming ran until the end of November, so filming was still taking place when Bec was working with the publicist,” they added. Chattr has seen screenshots further to the ones below that align with the insider’s claims.

However, Bec denied the claims in an interview with Chattr.
“I don’t have a PR team,” she said. “I wish I did because you’re gonna see the best of me and the worst of me. And I think if I had a PR team, I don’t think that you would see me going off at dinner parties and acting quite abruptly at times. I don’t think you would see any of that.”
Married at First Sight (MAFS) 2026 airs Sunday – Monday on Channel 9 and 9Now.
