In an explosive interview with Chattr, Danny of Married At First Sight (MAFS) took aim at Juliette’s “apology” to Bec at last night’s Dinner Party, arguing that she only made matters worse.
In case you missed it, Juliette went for the jugular at the end of the show’s Couples’ Retreat when she called Bec a “dumb c*nt” and * “f**king freak, apparently in response to her “finger-banging” joke.
Attempting to make amends at last night’s Dinner Party, Juliette said: “Bec, even though I also apologised at the start up there, I am sorry for calling you names. But I definitely think that in the heat of the moment, I’ve just been feeling quite emotional for everyone else. It just kind of felt like you were speaking for Rachel’s relationship and saying they were in a massive fight.”
“While Danny told Juliette in the moment that she should’ve apologised as soon as the couple entered the room, Juliette clarified that she wanted to give the couple space to greet the other castmates, after which she approached Bec and began to apologise, an exchange that Danny seemingly missed.

Danny blasts Juliette’s apology
While Bec seemed satisfied with Juliette’s apology, Danny seems anything but. “You’re not sorry when you’re apologising and then coming up with excuses,” Danny tells Chattr. “She was saying she was trying to protect Rachel. She has done more damage to Rachel with [her] arguing and her apology than the actual comment itself,” the 34-year-old says.
“[Juliette and Gia] using that as an excuse to attack Bec… you know, just gung ho attacking Bec, actually made the [finger-banging] comment 50 times worse for poor Rachel’s intimacy,” he adds. “Rachel and Steven’s relationship got dragged through the mud because the girls were just looking for any little excuse to attack Bec.”
He also said that Juliette told “blatant lies” to try to cause “friction and tension”, though it’s not clear what lies Danny was referring to.
Danny has said that true apologies don’t come with any qualifiers. “If you’re truly sorry, there’s no but after your apology, you just apologise. You don’t apologise with a but.”
