A Married At First Sight (MAFS) production insider has alleged that groom Chris Nield committed a “violent act” behind the scenes, in an incident that won’t be aired.
The source alleged that Chris got worked up during a disagreement and punched a door while trying to get to Brook, right before she decided to quit.
The insider alleged Chris was involved in what they described as a “violent act” that will not be aired. “He punched a door wide open – similar to what happened with Paul Antoine last year... He punched the door open in front of the producer’s face, trying to get to Brook.”
“I’m not sure why the producers decided to sweep it under the rug, but he won’t be held accountable. There were about five cast members and production there when it took place, too.”
The insider also referred to a second alleged incident, but provided no details.
Chattr has reached out to Chris and Channel 9 for comment.
Brook says Chris’ behaviour on MAFS affected her deeply
In an interview the day after her wedding aired, Brooke appeared to vaguely touch on the incident, saying that Chris’ actions on the show affected her deeply.
“There are a lot of things that happen behind the scenes and off camera that won’t be shown on air, and I know that for a fact because they said that to me. So I am quite appalled by that as well,” she told Chattr.
“And I think for me, I need to protect my peace as I went through a lot on that show behind the scenes that a lot of people won’t see, and I was involved with Chris’ behaviour.”
“I think he should not have been allowed on that show… What kind of role model are you showing?”
