Eagle-eyed viewers of this week’s Married At First Sight (MAFS) homestays episodes sensed something was off about groom Chris Robinson‘s farm. For example, why were there rolled towels on the beds? What could account for the bunk beds? And is Chris even known to those horses?
The farmhouse is beautiful, of course, but it didn’t strike MAFS fans as the place where Chris resided permanently. So, we had a snoop around to try to find the spot on Airbnb, and hey presto! We found it.

Some telltale signs that we’d found the right place? That huge lion painting the main bedroom, the hanging egg chair, and that cursed bunk bed. Don’t get us wrong — it’s a beautiful place — but we can see why certain features of the farmhouse didn’t make it into the final edit.
Case in point: this kitchen counter in a truly disgusting shade of green. It’s giving Pantone 448C, also known as the ugliest colour in the world. No wonder Sam high-tailed it out of there!

How much does staying at the farmhouse cost?
At the time of writing, staying at the farmhouse will set you back about $550 per night on Airbnb, which is actually a decent deal if you have a partner and kids. When we put in some weekend dates near Christmas 2026, costs were closer to $720 a night.
Interestingly, if you look at what looks like the same property on Stayz, the average nightly cost is listed as $245. But whenever we try and book a couple of nights, even well into 2027, we’re told there’s no availability. So, that price may have come and gone.
Where is the farmhouse located?
According to Airbnb, the farmhouse is located in Broughton Hills in NSW. It’s described as a “hinterland hideaway” near a “bubbling freshwater creek and lots of walking trails through the rainforest.” The description also says that guests will be treated to views of Werri Beach, and are close to the town of Berry.
Notably, as Chris and Sam were driving to the property, our MAFS narrator did say they were heading to the Southern Highlands. We now know that wasn’t the case, as Broughton Village is more of a coastal area as opposed to the Southern Highlands, which are quite high up.
We were swindled, everyone! They took us for fools.

Does Chris own the farmhouse?
Yes, it does appear that Chris from MAFS owns the property. A person called Chris is listed as the Airbnb host, alongside a photo that — if not of Chris — is uncanny in how much it looks like him.
It looks that Chris owns a number of properties and rents them out on the platform, including another one called Wave & Willow Retreat in Jamberoo. Weirdly, that one isn’t in the Southern Highlands either.
Maybe Chris’ Southern Highlands one is where Chris actually lives and doesn’t rent out or allow MAFS camera crews to film at. We can only speculate.
But we do know that you can stay at Chris’ farmhouse if you have the cash and feel like a trip out of town. Remember to take your notebook and an unwilling partner for the full MAFS experience.
MAFS 2026 premieres on Sunday – Wednesday at 7.30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
