Married at First Sight‘s (MAFS) Bec Zacharia has dished on the cheating scandal between Steph Marshall and Danny Hewitt that dominated the Reunion Dinner Party, saying that she thinks the pair would make a good couple.
In an interview with Chattr, Bec said that while she doesn’t believe anything romantic happened between Danny and Steph, it didn’t sit right with her that Steph was consoling her while messaging her ex.
“She was one of the people — when I was home after Final Vows — ringing me, saying he’s a piece of s**t. So for me, it felt murky, and I didn’t understand why you would need to contact my husband. Looking back at it now, was it platonic? Yeah. Was it, right? No,” she explained.
Bec added that along with the text messages, there were also a few voice notes and multiple selfies — including the bikini pic.
“You’ve never had a relationship with him before. Then you start to message him, and there are voice notes and stuff.”
She said that although Steph has a new boyfriend now, she does believe there could have been some romantic intentions behind her messages to Danny at the time.
“Steph’s in a very happy relationship now,” she said. “Would she have gone there? If Danny was interested? She very much says no, but I’m very I’m dubious as to why you would bother messaging him once you know he’s single — you know he’s single, you’ve been on the phone to me, you’re my friend.”
Bec added that in retrospect, she thinks Steph and Danny could actually make a good couple.
“At the end of the day, some people think Danny’s a good-looking bloke, and some people are interested. I know they’re both aligned in the sense that they’re both in real estate, and they call themselves hustlers and stuff like that. So there’s potential.”

Daily Mail Australia obtained screenshots of a conversation between Steph and Danny, which looks to have been shared by Steph. The conversation is initiated by the MAFS bride after she replies to one of his stories.
The pair chatted for a while about life post-show, and Steph tried to encourage Danny to attend the Reunion. After a while, they switch to voice notes, and Steph sends a bikini pic while Danny rounds out the conversation with two red love hearts.
