The feud is still raging between Married at First Sight (MAFS) 2026 brides Gia Fleur and Bec Zacharia, with Gia claiming Bec brought her own PR team onto the show to help carefully curate her image.
“We have to remember that Bec came into the show with a PR team; no one else did. She had a PR person that she would meet with every week,” Gia told Chattr.
“I said it multiple times [on the show] that her PR team is working overtime tonight,” she added. “A lot of things are very calculated by her part, on the show. So [viewers] will hopefully see that.”
Another source close to production backed Gia’s claims.
“Bec engaged a publicist from at least October — possibly earlier — who advised that a ‘feuding to friends’ storyline between Bec and Gia is an epic angle that the media will lap up. They also told Bec that their main concern was protecting her reputation and presenting her in the best light possible for future media opportunities,” the insider said.
“Filming ran until the end of November, so filming was still taking place when Bec was working with the publicist,” they added. Chattr has seen screenshots further to the ones below that align with the insider’s claims.

Gia and Bec have been at each other’s throats since the premiere episode of MAFS 2026, when Gia called Bec a “five out of ten”, and Bec apparently called her a trashy s**t — a claim that Bec denied to Chattr.
More recently, in the episode that aired on February 11th, Bec admitted to Gia’s face that she judged her in the red flag, green flag challenge.
Bec denies she had a PR team on MAFS
Bec has refuted Gia’s claims that she bought her own PR team onto MAFS, telling Chattr that her fellow bride’s claims are “completely false, yet again.”
“I don’t have a PR team,” she said. “I wish I did because you’re gonna see the best of me and the worst of me. And I think if I had a PR team, I don’t think that you would see me going off at dinner parties and acting quite abruptly at times. I don’t think you would see any of that.”
Bec said Gia’s accusations — from the “trashy s**t” comment to the PR team rumours — were the reason she says there’s no chance of a friendship between the two brides.
“There will not be another friendship at all. I mean, look, it’s a prime example, isn’t it? I’ve got a PR team, and I’ve called her a trashy s**t and all of that sort of stuff. It’s just completely non-factual. So why would I want that in my aura?”
Married at First Sight (MAFS) 2026 airs Sunday – Monday on Channel 9 and 9Now.
