The drama on Married at First Sight (MAFS) 2026 has been so heavily centred on Gia Fleur and Bec Zacharia that Alissa Fay has bluntly declared that the experiment has become the “Gia and Bec show” and questioned the brides’ intentions.

Between Bec and Gia’s hen’s party showdown and their feud over whether Danny told Gia she was his type, there hasn’t been a lot of time to focus on the romantic relationships brewing on the show.

“It’s the Gia and Bec show, every single week, they’re just drama, drama, drama. They say one minute they’re friends. They say the next minute they’re not friends. It’s hard to keep up,” Alissa told Chattr.

Alissa went us far as to question whether the two brides came onto MAFS for clout.

“I just think that they were ultimately not there for the right reasons. It’s all just about drama circulating between them both, and then dragging other women down in the meantime in the process of it all. So, it was just the Bec and Gia show, literally, for a lot of the time. We all got so tired of it, all of us did.”

MAFS’ Alissa reveals that she’s forgiven Bec but not Gia

While things are clearly frosty between Alissa and Bec on screen, Alissa reveals that she’s since made amends with her fellow South Australian bride.

“She’s in Adelaide, so we do speak every now and then. I have forgiven her, but obviously, I’ve set boundaries in place there. I have friends, and I have enough people in my life that are supportive of me. I’ll always be kind to her, and she was really, you know, apologetic for what had happened. I have forgiven her.

However, Alissa made it clear that she and Gia haven’t buried the hatchet, despite the fact that Gia has reached out to her.

“There are boundaries in place with Gia. I haven’t heard much from her. The last few messages we exchanged were pretty basic messages. It was like, ‘Are you looking forward to seeing yourself tonight on TV’ or whatever, and I never replied. And the one before that was ‘Please unblock me from Instagram’. So, there’s been very minimal exchanges with Gia and I, because she was just nasty throughout the whole experiment, and very manipulative.”

Married at First Sight (MAFS) 2026 airs Sunday – Wednesday on Channel 9 and 9Now.
