Love Island‘s Jessie Wynter and Will Young have opened up about their exciting plans to start a family in an interview with Chattr, following their recent engagement, saying that kids are “definitely on the cards.”
Will — who met Jessie on Love Island UK Season 9 — told Chattr that he’s known that Jessie was the one for him for a long time, and said one of the many qualities he loves about her is knowing she’ll make an incredible mum.
“Jessie, I see a beautiful, amazing wife, but then I also see a beautiful mother one day to our children as well, which is very, very important. So I can’t wait to get married and then have children as well,” he told Chattr.
Jessie added that babies are “100%” part of their next chapter, but she’d like to wait until after their wedding to get pregnant.
“Children are definitely in our future plans, but we’re not really planning for it. If it happens, it happens, but we would like to be able to enjoy the wedding. Because I guess if a little one came before the wedding, it would just mean someone has to take time out to look after the little one. But we’ll see,” she explained.
Jessie and Will open up about their family goals
Jessie and Will are already dreaming of having a huge family, with Will joking that he wouldn’t mind as many as ten kids.
“No, maybe four or five,” he clarified in an interview with Chattr. “Jessie comes from a big family; she’s got five siblings, and they’re all just so different and unique and amazing. And I just had one brother. So I’d say we grew up in quite a small family, in comparison to Jessie’s bigger family, with loads of siblings.
“And I just love the dynamic and how fun it is. I see how Jesse and her siblings treat each other, and it’s really lovely. So, I would love to have quite a few, four or five.”
Jessie added that while she’s up for a big family, she’s not sure if she wants as many kids as Will.
“It is lots of fun having lots of siblings, but do I want to push out that many children? You know, in an ideal world, I think four could be great, but we’ll see how I go after one,” she laughed.

Will — whose family has been in farming for generations — said he wouldn’t place any pressure on his future children to carry on the tradition, though he’d love to see them do so.
“No pressure will be put on our children. But obviously, coming from a farming background and a family farm, I’d want to encourage them to get outside and be one with nature. And you know, even if they don’t want to be a farmer, getting outside is very, very important for so many reasons. But, I would love them to get involved with the community and the farm.”
Will said the same freedom of choice would apply to his future kids if they ever wanted to go on Love Island.
“They can do whatever they want, they want to go on Love Island, they can,” he laughed.
But Jessie said she’d be a bit more careful about sending her son or daughter off as a sexy single to the Spanish villa.
“I’d probably let the oldest, most mature one go on Love Island, and then the others no,” she laughed. “I’d have to give them a briefing.”
“We’d give them all the inside scoop and tea,” Will added.
One thing’s for sure: with Love Island royalty Will and Jessie as their parents, any future kids would be born with a golden ticket to All Stars.
