Love Island Australia 2025 has seen a clear divide in the villa between the girls who joined at the start of the season and the bombshells who arrived later. The division has been so obvious that it’s caused an uproar online from frustrated viewers — and Boston has confirmed that the split played out in the villa just as it did on TV.
On one side are Sharn, Gabby, Tamara, Yana and Isabel (who has since been dumped from the villa), and on the other are Boston and Mia, who have now been replaced by Jaide and Emma.
While Isabel went on the official Love Island podcast Unofficially Unpacked to claim that the divide was a bad edit, and said that all the girls got along well, Boston has since said that that wasn’t true.
“I’m so transparent. It was not blown out of proportion. What you saw is what you saw,” Boston told podcast host Eoghan McDermott.
“I’m not going to sit here and downplay it because I know how I felt, and I actually won’t have anyone invalidate those feelings.”
Boston, who made a play for Sharn’s partner Ross when she first entered the villa, said that she felt so isolated in the first few days that she broke down crying and wanted to go home. While she acknowledged that trying to steal Sharn’s partner may have rubbed her the wrong way, she believes the girls should have recognised the premise of the show.
“I’m going in as a bombshell. I have a job to do. I was so respectful about it from the start, yet I was still in the wrong, there was nothing I could have done that was going to make the girls like me, which I get to an extent, but it does get to a point where you gotta understand this is Love Island. Everyone’s in there to find their best connection.”
Boston added that she and Sharn were on amicable terms when she was dumped from the villa, but watching back the things Sharn said about her has left a bad taste in her mouth.
“I just think the talking behind my back was the craziest thing to watch back, because at that point, we were kind of okay. So seeing that play back actually really hurt, and I was really anxious and upset at it, and to not really have any of those girls check in and apologise sucked as well, but I also didn’t expect them to.”

Boston said Sharn sent her a ‘calculated’ message recently
The OG side of the divide has been receiving flak from viewers for their treatment of the late-comer Bombshells, with one Instagram claiming they have “mean energy, plain and simple!” adding that they’re “Disappointed in the girls”.
In the podcast interview, Boston revealed that Sharn had recently reached out to apologise for how she treated her in the villa — but Boston believes the message was only sent because of the backlash Sharn has been receiving.
“I only actually recently got a message about four or five days ago from a certain someone, and I just think it was quite a calculated message, and I just didn’t even respond to it, because I think it should have been an apology,” before admitting the person in question was Sharn.

“So she sent me a text. I read it, but I obviously just was like, I feel like that message should have been sent on the first episode where she was talking smack about me, and it wasn’t. So, I might respond when I’m ready, but I just don’t really think it was genuine. And that’s me being honest.”
However, the Love Island Australia bombshell said that Yana has regularly reached out to her while the show has been airing, and revealed which other Islander’s she’s still on good terms with.
“Yana has checked in on me big time. Alex, Mateo, Jothan and Mia are like my OGs.”
She also didn’t hold back when asked about her pre-villa friend Mick, who she had harsh words for when he didn’t pick her to be saved from a Love Island dumping.
“I just think Mick cares about his looks and his ego more than people and their feelings, and that’s not someone I want to be friends with anymore, so we’re not friends anymore,” she said.
“Go f**k yourself,” she added as her final thoughts about Mick on the podcast episode.
Love Island Australia 2025 airs Monday – Thursday on 9Now.
