I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Australia 2026 star Cyrell Paule has opened up about the growing divide in camp, revealing that rival groups will be targeting each other for elimination.
Unlike past instalments, the current season is pre-recorded, which means rather than the audience voting the campmates in for trials and to be eliminated, the celebrities themselves are voting.
Cyrell told Chattr that the new dynamic caused chaos and fractured relationships between the contestants.
“A huge divide does happen when eliminations start happening, especially when you start realising that there’s a chance that you’d have to nominate one another,” she explained.
“I think the show kind of gets into a bit of Survivor mode, and if you’re not very favoured, or if you weren’t liked, you could be up and chosen because people really, definitely had their own groups.”
Cyrell teased that there will be a nomination twist during the eliminations that will ramp up the drama.
“I can’t tell you how the eliminations work, but they do it to be fair, in the sense of picking how the people are selected and who they vote for is what really triggers people,” she said.
Cyrell added that she would have “preferred the public voting” because there are “people that had closer cliques and bonds with other people.”

Has the winner of I’m a Celebrity 2026 already been decided?
The fact that I’m a Celebrity Australia 2026 has already wrapped filming has fans speculating whether this year’s winner has already been crowned.
However, host Julia Morris confirmed to Chattr that a winner has not been chosen yet and said the public will vote to decide. However, she warned that she believes the audience will struggle to pick a favourite.
“I think that the viewers will be able to not necessarily choose a favourite, because oftentimes the favourite will stand out for us, individually, a different person each time, but I think they’re going to struggle to find a favourite.
“Oh my God, right up to and including the moment and the penultimate episode, where the audience gets to decide who wins, so we don’t know who wins,” she told Chattr.
