In tonight’s episode of I’m A Celebrity Australia 2026, Matt Zukowski has opened up about his failed marriage to influencer Tammy Hembrow, telling campmate Deni Hines that they’re relationship was doomed before the couple even exchanged vows.
In a heart-to-heart at camp, Deni asks Matt what happened when he got married to Tammy that “made it all go pear-shaped”.
“It was pear-shaped before. I was very much convinced that things would get better once we were married, and things would change, and it actually got a lot worse,” he explained.
Deni then asked Matt if he could see himself getting married again, and while he confirmed he could, he seemed to take another pointed jab at Tammy, when he said he wouldn’t try and find his next wife “on Instagram”.
In a producer-led confessional, Matt said that his feelings for Tammy were genuine.
“I did love my ex-wife, and I did do it out of hope that we could work on things and make it work. I gave it my all to try to make that work. I definitely did. I lost a lot of myself in that relationship,” he explained.
What happened between Matt Zukowoski and Tammy Hembrow?
Tammy and Matt first connected when Matt slid into Tammy’s DMs on TikTok. Their chemistry quickly led to real-life dates, and the couple went public with their relationship in late 2023.
Only months after going public, Matt popped the question to Tammy during a romantic getaway in the Maldives. The couple tied the knot in 2024 with a lavish celebration at Chateau Du Soleil in Byron Bay.
However, the couple didn’t last long married. In June 2025, Tammy shared a tearful video on TikTok and publicly announced that she was filing for divorce after just seven months of marriage.
