Fans were shocked by the way Farmer Alex treated Eddy during the Farmer Wants A Wife reunion. After seeing him snap at her and hang her out to dry, there’s one question on everyone’s minds: why did she even attend the Reunion? The pair clearly weren’t in a good place.
Eddy has now opened up about the decision she made to attend the Reunion, and it makes a lot of sense.
“I was definitely nervous, and it was quite awkward,” she told WHO. “I knew going back when we weren’t together was a bit off, and that was kind of the feedback I got from other people.”
However, Eddy was worried about how she would be portrayed if she didn’t show up to defend herself.
“I really wanted to be there because if I wasn’t there, Alex was going to control the whole narrative about how things went and how they ended,” she spilled.
“That was not fair, for just Alex to show his side of the story.”
When Chattr spoke to Alex prior to Farmer Wants A Wife airing, he seemed to hold some animosity towards Eddy.
“Eddy didn’t actually represent the things that I originally went onto the show looking for,” Alex said at the time. “She just wowed me on that very small amount of time that we had together, and so I maybe [acted] a little bit on impulse.”
Farmer Wants A Wife’s Alex makes acting career move
With all the accusations floating around about different reality stars being “paid actors”, it’s rather amusing that Farmer Alex is embarking on a new career path.
While he’s not leaving the farm just yet, he did tell TV WEEK he was planning on starting acting classes in two weeks.
“I recently got a place in Brisbane. I’ve been down there a couple days a week pursuing the artistic side of my life, so that’s been really sweet,” he said.
Along with acting classes, he’s also been writing poetry, short stories and having music jam sessions with friends.
However, he’s adamant that he was 100% himself during Farmer Wants A Wife.
“Hand on heart, I went in there honestly. There was nothing that I acted. But I did enjoy being on TV and so I just want to explore that more and see where it goes,” he added.
