FWAW's Corey reveals how little time the Farmers spend with their Ladies on the 24 hour dates

FWAW 24 hour dates

The first solo dates on Farmer Wants a Wife (FWAW) are arguably the biggest of the season: the 24-hour overnight dates.

These dates have a pretty impressive success rate, with many of the Farmers ending up with the women they choose to spend them with. That’s exactly what happened in 2025, when Farmer Jarrad and Chloe, and Farmer Corey and Keeley, went on to end the show together.

However, while the dates may be pitched as a whole lot of quality time for the Farmers to spend with their special Lady, 2025 Farmer Corey has told Chattr that what happens behind the scenes is a completely different story.

“When Keeley came home for the first 24 hours on the farm, you’d think that I’d get to spend the whole 24 hours with Keeley, but that’s not the case,” he explained.

“I was probably lucky to spend two hours with Keeley that whole time and that all had to be on camera. So when we weren’t filming, we were separated. We couldn’t talk about anything.”

Keeley added that if she and Corey tried to discuss anything that might make good TV, they’d be stopped by producers.

“There’s a phrase called hold the gold. So anytime we’d be talking to each other off camera, when there were producers around, they’d say to us, stop talking, you need to hold the gold,” she said.

Do the Farmer’s 24 hour dates give away who their winner will be?

It seems those overnight dates really do matter, with both Farmer Jarrad and Farmer Corey choosing their final picks for the milestone dates in the opening episodes of the 2025 season. Going back even further, three of the five Farmers did the same; Farmer Dustin took Sophie, Farmer Dean chose Teegan and Farmer Todd romanced Daisy.

So far, we’ve seen Dylan pick Ally for his 24 hour date, Jarrad choose Carly, Alex select Eddy, Jason opt for Beth and Zac take back Grace. So, does Farmer Corey think that the Farmer’s first pick gives away who they’ll pick at the end? He told Chattr that it was the case for him, and he knew early on that Keeley was the one for him.

“I think you get a pretty good gut feeling from early on of who it was going to be. And that’s why Keeley came back to the farm straight away. You just know within a short time who you’re pretty confident your person’s going to be. So, yeah, I’d say from pretty early stage that I knew it was going to be Keeley.”

Aww! Corey and Keeley really were endgame.

Farmer Wants a Wife (FWAW) 2026 airs Sunday – Tuesday on Channel 7 and 7Plus.
