The latest drama to rock Farmer Wants A Wife (FWAW) 2026 centres on a supposed “love letter” Rachel found in Eddy’s diary that appeared to be written to Farmer Alex. However, while the note certainly looked like a letter to Alex, Eddy has insisted that’s not what it was, and slammed the fake storyline.
Eddy told New Idea that the letter was actually talking points for a conversation she was planning to have with Farmer Alex with topics she wanted to cover.
“I wish that everyone would stop saying it’s a love letter, it is not a love letter,” she said. “It’s like the furthest thing from a love letter.”
Eddy added that she never intended on giving the letter to Farmer Alex, but instead used it to brainstorm what she wanted to talk to him about.
She also explained that Rachel discovering her ‘journal’ wasn’t malicious. Eddy said that all the contestants were given journals by production at the start of the season, and because she wasn’t much of a writer, the Ladies on Farmer Alex’s farm used hers to write shopping lists in. However, when Eddy got bored she began doodling and writing some notes in the book, which is what Rachel found.
“At this point, you know, she’d spent all day away from me when I was on my date,” Eddy explained. “On those days when you’re away from the person on the date, the anticipation is so intense that you just lose track of your emotions, and you just become so wound up like a little spinning top all day.
“When she got to the top, and she was spinning like wild, that’s when she found the entry.”
FWAW’s Eddy concerned Alex was all in on her too early
It’s been abundantly clear that Farmer Alex has very strong feelings for Eddy, and it almost seems as though the other remaining women don’t stand a chance next to her.
“It just became pretty clear that Alex had pretty strong feelings for me leading up to and around the time that we ended up filming the country fair,” she told the publication. “And I remember feeling a lot of pressure and intensity from him at this point that felt far too soon and far too quick.”
“I just felt like he had blinders on the whole time, wouldn’t even look at anyone else,” she added.
Eddy revealed her talking points in the journal were about her wanting to ask Farmer Alex to take a step back and give the other Ladies a real chance.
“Because I had created such close-knit relationships with the other girls, I truly felt that he was jumping the gun and wasn’t giving them the time of day and wasn’t exploring a connection with them.”
“And I was ultimately just worried that if he did pick me at the end without exploring those connections, then he would regret it.”
“It felt way too intense, and I was kind of like, give the young girls a go, would you?”
Farmer Wants A Wife airs Sunday and Monday on Channel 7 and streams on 7Plus.
