Big Brother Australia 2025 Vinnie eviction cruel responds

Big Brother Australia stunned viewers when they had a snap eviction, resulting in Vinnie Brigante being sent home without notice. After rounding up the housemates to sing a Christmas carol in the middle of the night, the lyrics revealed that it was time to say goodbye to Vinnie.

He tells Chattr that it was a “brutal way to go out”, and he agrees with the Big Brother Australia fans who have called it mean-spirited and awful.

“It is cruel. It’s a cruel way to go out,” he spills. “But you know, it’s also a funny way to go out. And I choose to [take] the perspective [it’s] funny.”

Vinnie also thinks his Christmas exit was “iconic” and says he thinks his family will pull up the video each year. “If I had my choice of how I would like to go out, obviously winning would be number one. But I think the way I went out was perfect,” he says.

“It’s funny as to watch, and I think that’s going to be played every Christmas for the rest of my life.”

Does Vinnie prefer snap evictions to regular evictions?

The snap eviction was a bit of a shock, with viewers only given hours to vote and save their favourite housemate. However, Vinnie says he actually avoided a lot of “anxiety” by being blindsided by the surprise eviction, which was a blessing in disguise.

“I didn’t have any time to really have anxiety, like am I gonna leave and all that stuff,” he spills. “Every eviction, I was just like so anxious for the person that was about to go home, because you have no idea until the moment the name [is] read out… and if I was in that position, you know, my heart would be going so fast, and the vomit would be in my mouth.”

Vinnie has a big love for the Big Brother franchise and felt grateful to be part of an unusual twist. “Big Brother [is] full of surprises. I’m very happy and glad to be part of a surprise that was ultimately very, very iconic.”

Big Brother Australia 2025 airs Monday to Friday at 7.30pm, and Sundays at 7pm on Channel 10 and 10Play.
