Emily at the Big Brother finale - Edited

The Big Brother Australia 2025 finale saw Coco Beeby crowned winner and fan-favourite Emily Dale finish runner-up, but some viewers say their votes for Emily on the eve of the finale weren’t registering.

The Big Brother winner was decided by the public, with fans choosing between Coco, Emily, Bruce, Alanna or Colin. However, in a now-deleted comment on a fan Facebook group, multiple people complained that they tried to vote for Emily ahead of the finale and it didn’t work.

Big Brother Australia, I wanted to raise a concern and see if anyone else experienced the same issue with the Big Brother Australia voting. When attempting to vote, I was unable to submit a vote for my first choice, Emily. However, when I selected Coco, the vote went through without any issues, [it] left me feeling disappointed and confused, as voting should be fair and accessible for all viewers,” the post read.

A few minutes after the post was published, two people replied, with one saying they’d had the same issue, and the other commenting that someone else had the same problem.

Although the post was deleted, a screenshot of it resurfaced in another fan group, and even more people chimed in saying they’d experienced issues voting for Emily.

“I couldn’t get on to vote for Emily, but when I finally did get on and went to click her name, it said voting has ended. Rigged,” one person wrote.

“I had the same issue and had to attempt 3 times before the system allowed an Emily vote… What’s done is done. Congrats, Coco,” another penned.

However, some other fans said that the issue didn’t just affect Emily’s votes.

“Mine was doing this with Coco’s vote, so I think it was just having problems,” one person wrote, while another aid: “I ended up having to go on the actual website instead of the app for my vote to go through. I wanted to vote for CoCo & couldn’t, so it’s not just for Emily.”

A third said, “My vote for Coco wouldn’t go through either.”

Did Emily have an interview after getting evicted from Big Brother Australia?

Alanna, Bruce and Colin all spent time with host Mel Tracina after being evicted from the Big Brother house, an opportunity that runner-up Emily appeared to miss out on.

After Coco was announced the winner, Emily was asked to leave the house, and viewers watching from home didn’t see her on the stage at all.

However, a video circulating on social media has shown Emily quickly crossing the stage, before being walked into the crowd by Big Brother narrator Mike Goldman so she could be reunited with her husband.

The appearance had viewers wondering if Emily perhaps got an interview, but there wasn’t enough time to show it on TV. However, two-time Big Brother winner Reggie Sorensen, who was in the audience, confirmed that Emily didn’t.

“I was there in the audience, Emily got bugger all, so sad,” she commented on the official Big Brother Instagram post.
