Insider hints whether MAFS' Grayson and Julia are still together

History was made on Married at First Sight (MAFS) 2026 when bisexual bride Julia Vogl told the experts she was open to being matched with either a man or a woman. After some careful thought, Julia was matched with Grayson McIvor, who is the owner of a recruitment company in Queensland.

Grayson took the leap and auditioned for the show after watching his close friend Johnny Balbuziente’s love story unfold with his MAFS bride Kerry. Johnny and Kerry were intruders in the 2021 season, and have gone on to get married in real life and share a daughter.

Meanwhile, Julia’s had four serious relationships — three with a woman and one with a man — but she’s struggled to find exactly what she’s looking for her entire life. She’s hoping that her stint on MAFS will result in true love.

Are MAFS’ Grayson and Julia still together IRL?

At first, Grayson and Julia may have appeared to be a strong MAFS couple, but things quickly started unravelling after they moved in together.

And it certainly sounds like Grayson and Julia didn’t find their happily ever after together, with an insider telling Chattr that the couple never developed a deep connection.

“Grayson would make comments about Julia’s appearance, and was very clearly into her physically, but I never saw him make an effort to find out more about her. It took him over a week to even ask what she does for work,” the source said.

The insider also suggested that Grayson’s disappointment with Julia’s card game during Ultimate Fantasy Week was related to his wanting to explore a physical connection with her, rather than an emotional one.

“Perhaps he was feeling entitled in some way to Julia’s body, even though it was her fantasy.”

How did the experts match Julia?

Julia made it clear that she doesn’t have a preference for being matched with a man or a woman. In an interview with Chattr, relationship expert John Aiken revealed how they went about finding her partner.

“What we did is, we really looked for strong compatibilities. This person is very much into spirituality. She’s very creative, artistic. But she’s someone who’s slightly, slightly older, wants commitment, doesn’t want to play games, but particularly has a very spiritual side to her, and so that’s what we were looking for,” he said.

“Who could we match with her that would have that similar sort of down-to-earth spiritual kind, because she’s very kind,” he added. Turns out that person is Grayson!

Grayson has strong family values, and his biggest goal in life is to have a family of his own. He was also hoping to be paired with a “natural woman” who is confident in her own skin and has a warm, adventurous, optimistic personality.

While Julia told experts she didn’t mind if she was matched with a man or a woman, she said she wanted to find someone who has that x-factor, with whom she finds a strong connection.
