On the page, there’s a lot about David Momoh and Alissa Fay from Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2026 that makes sense, especially physically! Alissa has said looking for a partner who is “talk, dark and handsome” and David being a fan of “blonde, feminine women”.
The two also both seem ambitious, with Alissa’s decade long nursing career inducing the kind of burnout that inspired her to branch out into becoming an influencer. David is also a self-described hustler, working full time as an e-commerce product manager while grinding away on a bunch of side hustles.
Together, they would make quite the power couple! However, whether that’s the way their story will have to go, we’ll just have to wait and find out.
Of course, filming for the season has already wrapped — meaning Alissa and David’s on-screen relationship has fully played out, even though viewers haven’t seen it yet. So, are the pair actually together in real life? Read on to find out everything we know so far.

Are David and Alissa still together?
It’s unlikely that David and Alissa are still a couple, as sources say Alissa was on the show for the wrong reasons. “Everyone will understand when they watch MAFS, because it was very obvious what she was there for,” the insider told Chattr. “She was only there for her influencing career, she wasn’t genuine.”
“Alissa’s groom was gutted, because he was there for the right reasons,” the source continued, with David having said that he’s a genuine person who was looking for the right woman to settle down with, and ending like his parents.
At the time of writing, Alissa has over 268,000 followers on TikTok, and is an ambassador for an SA-based car company called Southern Chery. Her accounts show her spruiking a bunch of products and services including underwear, laser eye surgery and of course, cars.
Alissa isn’t MAFS’ only rumoured clout chaser
Another source recently told Chattr that Scott McCristal was also on MAFS because he was seeking fame, which tracks with the fact that he has already been on reality TV shows Million Dollar Island, Blind Date and Holey Moley.
The production insider suggests that perhaps Scott and Alissa should have had different matches to save the hearts of their blindsided partners.
“Alissa would have been better matched with Scott. They both were there for the wrong reasons,” they said.
MAFS 2026 premieres on Monday, February 2 at 7.30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
