Married At First Sight (MAFS) has seen Bec Zacharia and Danny Hewitt’s relationship go through plenty of struggles, but the couple have put on a united front throughout the experiment.
Coming onto the show, Bec was looking for a serious match, as she’s already broken one engagement prior to MAFS. Her groom Danny is a “reformed” player, looking for somebody to finally settle down with. A sense of humour is also important to both the bride and groom. So, on paper, they’re a good match.
However, will their relationship actually work and thrive in the experiment? Seeing as MAFS 2026 was filmed last year, Bec and Danny already know the answer to this question. But for all the MAFS fans who love a cheeky spoiler, we’ve put together everything we know about whether Bec and Danny are still together in real life.
Are MAFS’ Bec and Danny still together in real life?
Bec went rogue on Wednesday, March 11 and popped on an Instagram Live with former MAFS bride Awhina Rutene, where she spilled a bucketload of tea.
During the Q&A session, a fan asked Bec if she and Danny “aren’t together”, and the MAFS bride confirmed they are, revealing they attended the filming of MAFS: After the Dinner Party together just days before it aired on March 11.
“We are definitely together, you’ll see us, we flew to Sydney for the Stan show, but we both live in different states at this point in time,” she replied.
On top of that, Bec is currently following Danny, and he follows her back. This could either mean the two are still very much in love, or perhaps they’re just keeping up appearances while the show is on.
However, to throw a spanner in the works, Stranded on Honeymoon Island star Georgia Moore shared an interesting TikTok in February showing a man who appears to look like Danny out with another woman.
“It’s Danny? The guy who has married Bec, in the current season of MAFS. It kind of looks like him,” she said. “Hold on, that’s not his wife, Bec. Who’s that? And she’s a hot brunette. Look at those abs.”

Bec teases Valentine’s Day plans
Bec also told Chattr in an interview at the beginning of the season, she has plans to celebrate her birthday and Valentine’s Day with a few people, and said it will be “full of love”. Could this be a hint that it includes Danny?
She also said there’s a chance that she could fall in love with Danny, which sounds hopeful. “There’s always a chance for love. You know, I can speak for myself and myself only, but I know that I came onto Married At First Sight for love as a big believe in the experiment,” Bec said.
