As 2025 draws to an end this means one particular thing. No, not that Mariah Carey is about to be defrosted and people will be complaining about Hot Cross Buns going on sale on Boxing Day.
Rather, it means that Home and Away is about to torment us with a cliff-hanger season finale that will have us biting our nails until the new year.
The show recently dropped the dramatic promo for the season ending, with a train crash threatening the lives of our Summer Bay favourites.
Touted as one of the most “shocking disasters” in the show’s 38-year history, we’ll see our Summer Bay favourites board a train to a three-day music festival in Broken Hill where Remi and Sonny have secured a performance slot for Eddie on their new music label.
But as the festival-goers gear up for the trip of a lifetime (including a surprise proposal!) a catastrophic collision will trigger chaos and carnage.
Who will survive? We’ll probably have to wait until 2026 to find out no doubt.
Here’s all the questions we have after watching the dramatic Home and Away season finale promo.
1. Does Summer Bay all of a sudden have a train line?
2. And how long is this supposed train journey meant to take and are they just allowed to party the whole time?
3. And why a train crash of all things?
4. No bomb? No murder? No fire? No car crash?
5. Who are they trying to kill off this time?
6. And who is getting engaged?
7. Can we ever have an engagement or wedding storyline without a death?
8. Is there ever a day when something drastic doesn’t happen on this show???
9. And if there’s no death (very highly likely given Theo died this year), who do we lowkey wish would die?
10. If Leah or Justin gets injured, will we see Theo visit them from the grave in a weird unconscious premonition?
11. Also why is Lacey so happy all the time, like she didn’t just lose the supposed love of her life?
12. Does this mean Jo is ready to get with Eddie over Tane?
13. Soooo, what exactly causes the crash?
14. Because how could a couple of bikes cause a complete derailment that injures or kills someone?
15. What will 2026 bring now?
16. And how long will we have to wait for it to come back on in 2026?
