Nicole O’Neil was the only cast member who didn’t physically attend the Real Housewives of Sydney (RHOS) Season 3 Reunion, and now she’s revealed why.

As expected from the Housewives franchise, RHOS Season 3 saw a flurry of almost nonstop drama. There was a very heated fashion week event, ongoing feuds between the housewives, and, of course, the fallout between Nicole and Terry Biviano that began in Season 2 and spilt into Season 3.

However, Nicole has revealed that her rift with Terry wasn’t the reason she didn’t attend the Reunion in person; instead, she chalked it down to scheduling conflicts.

“I didn’t skip it. I didn’t storm off. I didn’t have cold feet,” she wrote on her website.

Why wasn’t Nicole at The RHOS Reunion?

Nicole explained that she was initially given a date for the Reunion, which she put in her schedule, but the date was changed at the last minute.

“When I signed my contract for the season, the reunion date was locked in. I planned everything around it – work, personal commitments, and yes, even travel. But at the eleventh hour, the date was changed,” she said.

“Unfortunately, by then I was already booked, packed, and set to be in London. This wasn’t a spontaneous trip – these dates had been in my schedule for over a year, and production was aware of them.”

“In fact, I had returned to Sydney specifically for three full weeks at production’s request to complete filming. But not only did the reunion not happen during that window, we didn’t shoot anything at all. I came back, made myself available, and waited. Nothing happened.”

“By the time production was finally able to confirm the new reunion date, I was in New York and already en route to London.”

“Still, I’m a professional. I respect the fans, the format, and the women I shared this wild ride with. So I found a way to show up.”

Nicole explained that she dialled in via video chat from her hotel in London, and filmed all night. She said that make-up started at 11pm and she finished filming at 6am local time.

“What you saw — or didn’t see — in the final cut wasn’t up to me. I can’t control how much of me made it to air,” she wrote.

Nicole said she was even willing to fly back to Australia for the event.

“I even offered to fly back to Sydney again to shoot the reunion in person, if production would provide a return flight. That offer was never taken up.”

The Real Housewives of Sydney Season 3 Reunion airs on May 6 on Binge.
