MAFS’ Filip and Stella on being Mel Schilling’s last true love match

Filip Gregov and Stella Mickunaite are the only successful couple to come out of Married at First Sight (MAFS) 2026, making them the last true love match created on the show, partially by Mel Schilling, before her untimely death in March this year.

The three MAFS relationship experts, Alessandra Rampolla, Mel Schilling and John Aiken, worked with all of the couples on the show to help their relationships succeed, and, in an interview with Chattr, Filip shared that Mel’s advice was fundamental in the success of their relationship.

“She was very instrumental; her input was invaluable for us at important times. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have gone a distance,” he said.

Stella agreed, saying they “have a big job to do” as Mel’s final true love match, and that they hope to make her proud.

Filip went on to detail a sweet moment that happened with Mel at the reunion.

“As we were walking out of the reunion, [the experts] came up and gave us a hug, every single one of us, it was John, Mel and Alessandra. And Mel just said, ‘I’m super stoked for you two, and she gave [Stella and I] a really long embrace.”

What happened to Mel Schilling?

Mel was diagnosed with bowel cancer in December 2023. After a gruelling year of surgery, six months of chemotherapy and a number of lifestyle changes, Mel shared that she was officially in remission.

Mel also said the experience made her value time with her family more than ever, which played into her decision to leave MAFS Australia.

“This hasn’t been a choice I’ve made lightly. In recent years, my health challenges and living in the UK spending up to three months a year away from my family is no longer sustainable. It has become clear that I must make a change that puts my family, health and time at the very centre of my life,” Mel said in a statement announcing her exit

Just a month after Mel shared that she’d officially stepped back from the show, she revealed to her fans that she’d received a terminal diagnosis. Then, two weeks after sharing the grim news, her husband Gareth took to social media to share the sad news that Mel had passed away.

“Melanie Jane Brisbane-Schilling passed away peacefully today, surrounded by love,” Gareth began in the post which was shared on March 24.

“In her final moments, when I thought cancer had taken away her ability to speak, she ushered me closer and whispered a message for Maddie and me that will sustain me for the rest of my life. It took all of her remaining strength, and that gesture summed up our wee Melsie perfectly. Even then, her only thought was for Maddie and me,” he continued.

Poh Ling Yeow spills on Sarah Todd’s return to MasterChef 2026 with Declan and the twins

MasterChef Australia 2026 judge Poh Ling Yeow has revealed fans can expect the return of Sarah Todd this season, alongside her partner and former contestant Declan Cleary, as well as their twin babies, Claudia and Charlotte.

However, three-time MasterChef Australia competitor Sarah won’t be returning for her fourth shot at the title; instead, she’ll be popping onto the show as a guest judge.

In an interview with Chattr, Poh said the segment was filmed shortly after Sarah gave birth to their twins in December 2025, adding that it was beautiful to see the whole family together after Sarah and Declan’s love story began while filming MasterChef last season.

“It was so lovely. And Deckers comes in with the twins as well. So that was a massive treat to have a little cuddle with the twins, and to see him be a dad, because he actually talked about it in last season quite a bit,” she explained.

“I don’t know if all of it made it to camera, but it’s something that he talks about being one of his life missions, and for it to be realised so quickly. It’s just so amazing that between last season and this season, one of his life dreams has come true with the woman of his dreams.”

Declan and Sarah struck up a romance behind the scenes while filming MasterChef Australia 2025: Back to Win, but kept it under wraps until the season was already airing. They were so discreet about their budding relationship that many of their fellow contestants had no idea until they went public, and it turns out, the judges were just as surprised.

“We had a bit of a laugh, because we all kind of talked about on camera whether any of us had an inkling, and I had no idea at all. But that was great. That was such a lovely full circle moment, it was really fantastic.”

MasterChef Australia’s Poh Ling Yeow on what makes Sarah Todd stand out as a cook

While Sarah hasn’t managed to snag the MasterChef Australia trophy in any of the seasons she’s competed on, she’s gotten close. She placed ninth on Season 6, runner-up on Season 14, and sixth on Season 17.

Poh told Chattr that Sarah’s results don’t necessarily reflect her extreme talent as a cook, and said she saw another side to her when she judges her on Back to Win.

“She’s amazing. Last season, I just saw this grit in her — because I’ve never competed against her — because she was from another season. She’s actually very steely, Sarah. She comes across as very soft, but she’s got this very steely determination. She really knows who she is and what she wants to achieve in life. I really admire that about her.”

As well as three seasons of MasterChef Australia, Sarah has also appeared on SBS Australia’s The Good Cooks, hosted documentary Awesome Assam with Sarah Todd, which aired on National Geographic and explores her culinary journey in India and and My Second Restaurant In India, which documents the building and opening her second restaurant, The Wine Rack in Mumbai, aired on SBS Australia. She has spent a decade in India, blending French culinary techniques with Indian flavours, which has become a hallmark of her cooking style.

Would Sarah Todd ever return to MasterChef Australia for a fourth time as a contestant?

No MasterChef Australia contestant has ever returned to the kitchen as a competitor four times — so would Sarah consider coming back again and making history for the series? We asked Sarah exactly that after she was eliminated from Back to Win last year, and she didn’t completely rule out the idea of returning to the competition.

“I am definitely done, but I say that every time… I think that every time I do it, I’m like, ‘Why the hell am I doing it? Then, when I finish, I’m like, ‘Okay, I’m glad I did it, but I’m glad it’s done, because it’s so stressful,” she told Chattr.

“I’m sure everyone can see that on their screens, watching the pressure of the show. But I’m just so happy and thankful for the dishes I was cooking and this group of people that have just started, like a real tribe around me. I’m really thankful for that. So, yeah, I’m really happy that I’ve got so much out of the season. And, I’m so happy that I did it,” Sarah added.

Get ready to turn up your nose at wannabe chefs while chowing down on your bowl of lukewarm two-minute noodles because MasterChef Australia is back, baby. And it’s gone royal, queens!

The judging panel — Andy Allen, Poh Ling Yeow, Sofia Levin, and Jean-Christophe Novelli — are all returning to mentor 24 amateur cooks through high-stakes challenges, taste tests and mystery boxes as they vie for the coveted trophy and cash prize.

This season has already generated global headlines due to a surprise guest appearance by none other than THE Meghan Markle, who has filmed a segment as a guest judge. It’s a star-packed season, as she’ll be joined by Aussie icons like Robert Irwin, Maggie Beer and Jimmy Barnes. Straya, right!

The new season is set to cast a spotlight on viral food creators and social media superstars — including cameos from DimSimLim, Andy Cooks, Victoria Minell and Lily Huynh — who will bring their online expertise into the kitchen this April.

Who’s in the MasterChef Australia 2026 cast?

We haven’t been given any details about the 2026 contestants yet, but what we do know is that the 24 contestants competing for the highly coveted white apron in the premiere are all home cooks.

Judge Poh Ling Yeow told Chattr that this season is going back to basics. “This year, it’s back to freshies who are amateur cooks, a bit of a whiz in the kitchen at home and they’re having their moment in the MasterChef kitchen,” Poh said.

“It’s just really good home cooking, and obviously as they go through the competition, it becomes more and more refined.”

All the deets on MasterChef Australia 2026 judges Andy Allen, Jean-Christophe Novelli, Sofia Levin and Poh Ling Yeow

The judging panel from the previous two seasons will all be back and raring to go, which includes Andy Allen, Poh Ling Yeow, Sofia Levin, and Jean-Christophe Novelli.

Andy Allen won MasterChef Australia in 2012 and has served as a judge since 2020. Poh first gained fame as a MasterChef runner-up in 2009 before being embraced as a beloved television host, cookbook author, and icon in Australian food.

Sofia is an adventurous culinary travel journalist with an encyclopedic knowledge of global cuisine. Jean-Christophe is a multi-Michelin-starred French chef, who brings world-class expertise to the kitchen.

Of course, there was the surprise announcement that Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, will appear as a guest judge on MasterChef Australia 2026. She filmed her segment at the Melbourne studios during her and Prince Harry’s visit to Australia in April.

In a 10News exclusive, Poh introduces the very special guest to the kitchen. “We’ve had MasterChef royalty in the kitchen before, but no one like this,” she teases.

“All the way from sunny California, please welcome to the MasterChef Australia the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle!”

But Meghan isn’t the only celebrity judge joining the season, as she’ll be joined by the likes of former Cold Chisel frontman Jimmy Barnes, series mum Maggie Beer and dessert magician Adriano Zumbo, along with iconic alumni Khanh Ong, Marion Grasby, Sarah Todd, Jess Lemon, Matt Sinclair and Justin Schofield returning to their old stomping grounds.

Poh told Chattr she was especially excited to be reunited with her food hero, Rick Stein, “Whenever Rick Stein comes, I’m always really excited because he was kind of one of my original food idols,” she told Chattr. “I’m always moved by how engaged and enthusiastic he still is with food. He’s just such a giant food nerd.”

What is the premiere date for the new season?

The new season of MasterChef Australia 2026 kicks off on Sunday, April 19, 2026, on Network 10 and 10Play.

This victory was a full-circle moment for Laura Sharrad, as it was her third appearance on MasterChef – but her first win. She previously finished as a runner-up in both the 2014 and 2020 all-star seasons.

So what can we expect from this year’s season and contestants? This is everything we know about MasterChef Australia 2026.

The shocking MAFS moment the UK had to cut out of the Aussie episodes

The curtain has fallen on Married at First Sight (MAFS) for 2026 in Australia, but across the globe, the season is only just getting good. ICYMI: MAFS is a huge hit in the UK, where it airs annually just a few months after Australia on Channel 4 and E4.

In the latest episodes, UK viewers got to endure enjoy the couples’ retreat. You remember that saga? Everyone turned on Bec! Rachel cried an awful lot! Juliet dropped the C-bomb! What fun!

But for MAFS fans on the other side of the world, they watched a slightly different version of the couples’ retreat than what Australian viewers saw. For us, during Bec Zacharia’s beautiful toast, she kindly announced to the whole group that the couple, Rachel Gilmore and Steven Danyluk, had… umm ‘finger-banged’.

To sum up the group’s recent successful steps, Bec announced to everyone: “We’ve had I love yous. We’ve had a couple who I thought could not come back from the brink of hell, and we’ve had finger bangs!” Lovely!

This was played without censorship on Australian screens, but in the UK? That whole part was completely beeped out.

This meant that UK viewers had to rush to Google exactly what was said by Bec that left Rachel in tears in a throwaway comment that dominated the couples’ retreat’s drama.

Given the UK’s strict laws around sexually explicit language, our friends across the world are probably a bit confused that this ever went to air. As Cosmopolitan UK wrote, “Yes, that was really said on Australian national TV.” It sure was, folks! No regrets!

And the ultimate culture clash is set to come when MAFS Australia and MAFS UK collide in an upcoming spin-off series, aptly titled Second Marriage at First Sight.

Everything we know about Second Marriage at First Sight

Airing in the UK on Channel 4, Second Marriage at First Sight will welcome eight ex-brides and grooms from both the Australian and UK versions of MAFS, who will get hitched to one another. They will spend half of the experiment in the UK before flying to Australia to test whether they can make their marriage work. What could go wrong?!

“These eight well-loved MAFS singles didn’t find lasting love the first time, but they haven’t given up – and neither have we,” Channel 4’s Steve Handley said last year. “Everyone deserves a second chance at love and this time they’re saying ‘I do’ to a stranger on the other side of the world.”

The Aussie brides and grooms joining the spin-off are yet to be announced, but many expect Jessika Power’s name to be in the ring. Since relocating to the UK, the breakout 2019 bride is a frequent guest on British reality TV, so it’s a no-brainer. “I would definitely do it. I think it’d be fun,” Jessika previously told Chattr about doing an all-stars season.

According to The Sun’s reports, the first UK bride added to the line-up is Emma Barnes, a fan-fave 2024 contestant who got hitched to Caspar Todd in season nine.

We’ll keep you updated as soon as the Aussie brides and grooms are announced. Stay tuned!

MAFS’ Danny issues apology to Bec and Steph after ‘f**king little skank’ comment

Married at First Sight (MAFS)s Danny Hewitt has issued an apology after unseen clips were aired of him making vile comments about both Bec Zacharia and Steph Marshall on Stan’s After the Dinner Party.

ICYMI, one of the clips showed Danny slagging his TV wife, Bec, off to producers, telling them to bring him “better women” and remarking that he could “f**king walk in Coles and get a better bird than that”.

And, his vitriol didn’t stop there. Later in the episode, another clip was shown of him coming for Steph when he didn’t think the cameras were filming, calling her a “f**king little skank”. Danny was angry because Steph told Bec she’d been messaging Danny post Final Vows, and Bec brought it up at the Dinner Party Reunion.

The savage clips sparked major backlash against Danny, with his Instagram follower count dropping rapidly and his comments section flooded by angry fans. Now, three days after the damning clips aired, Danny took to Instagram to apologise to the women his comments were aimed at.

“Most of you hate me, I don’t blame ya. I hate myself. So join the club. But I just wanted to jump on here and just apologise, obviously, for some of the comments I made — or all of the comments I made — on the Stan’s After the Dinner Party show. Horrendous. I’m so ashamed of myself,” he began.

“Obviously, I want to apologise to Steph for the way I spoke about her and Bec, of course, I’m so sorry to both of you girls.”

Danny added that he has a dry sense of humour, which can sometimes “come across wrong”.

“But I’m not here to make excuses or blame it on a sense of humour or anything like that. I’m here to own up to my mistakes and just apologise to anyone who watched it, any viewers who watched it and found it offensive, I’m so sorry.”

The real estate agent said he’s upset at himself for the way he acted and believes he deserves the hate he’s getting online, but wanted to take the time to issue an apology.

“Honestly, from the bottom of my heart, I’m so sorry to Bec, Steph, anyone who watched it and found it offensive, all of the participants who were on MAFS, I let all you guys down, the show as a whole, everything. I am actually so sorry, genuinely from the bottom of my heart.”

Fans call for Danny to personally apologise to Bec and Steph

While there is some support in Danny’s comments section, it has been largely overwhelmed by viewers rejecting his apology and calling him out as performative for apologising on social media.

“You should be apologising to Bec and Steph personally…not on here!” One person commented, while another wrote: “Hope you reached out to them directly and apologised to them as well individually.”

“You just apologised because it was broadcast. You never apologised to these women when it happened,” a follower stated.

Others mocked his apology, while making it clear that they were still team Bec.

“I don’t believe him. He knows how to be manipulative, and this is just another one of those times,” one wrote, and another chimed in: “Why is everyone getting fooled by his apology??? .. a leopard never changes his spots .. wake-up to yourselves ..his only doing this to save face and his career.”

However, there was a little support for the MAFS groom in the comments section, with some people telling him that the online hate will “blow over”.

“Dude, don’t worry about [it]. You are good just as you are, [and] also reality TV shows always blow things out of proportion.”

MAFS icon Jamie Marinos has a theory on why the 2026 cast doesn’t have many Instagram followers

Jamie Marinos became a standout bride on the 2025 season of Married at First Sight (MAFS). Between her rocky relationship with (incoming Perfect Match contestant) Dave Hand and her iconic one-liners, Jamie was embraced as a fan favourite.

And naturally, her popularity translated to social media followers. These days, Jamie has over 340k Instagram and TikTok followers, which gives her a reach of 780k folks online. No biggie! Her high following ranks in the likes of earlier success stories. earlier success stories from MAFS, with former brides like Martha Kalifatidis, Jessika Power and Jules Robinson all finding huge careers as content creators off the back of MAFS.

But based on the 2026 season, those days of instant Insta-fame are numbered.

The cast have just gotten their Instagram accounts back from Nine’s production and they might not be too impressed with the follower count that’s greeting them. Despite appearing on the highest-rated show in Australia for the past three months and the most-watched MAFS season ever, most contestants have failed to crack 50,000 followers.

Gia Fleur has lured 128k followers, Alissa Fay has 103k and Stella Mickunaite gained a respectable 98k followers, but other season standouts like Bec Zacharia, Danny Hewitt and David Momoh have all failed to find the Instagram success they may have expected.

So what’s happening? Jamie told Chattr she ‘isn’t surprised’ that the 2026 cast have failed to win the social media following of previous contestants. “Every season, there are usually individuals or couples that viewers really connect with and get behind, but this year that strong likeability just wasn’t there,” she exclusively told Chattr.

“Australia doesn’t rally around villains.”

Jamie reckons this season gave much more airtime to ‘villains’ than the sorts of people that Australia would get behind. “There were participants who potentially could have built strong followings, but they just weren’t shown enough, so they naturally faded into the background,” she said.

“If you replayed seasons like Domenica’s or Cyrell’s, people would still rally behind the same personalities who went on to build careers from the show. At the end of the day, it comes down to the individuals. Audiences still gravitate towards authenticity, people who are genuine, relatable and can be a good role model.”

Jamie Marinos offers her predictions on the future of MAFS

If being a contestant on MAFS no longer guarantees a career as an influencer, Jamie believes that the kind of people being cast on the reality show could shift.

“It would limit the number of people going on purely for fame or to build a platform. This season did feel more image-conscious and more focused on clout. There was a lot happening behind the scenes, with people speaking to press, being present on social media throughout the season airing and trying to control narratives – it created an inauthentic feel at times.”

Jamie admits that if the show no longer guarantees social media success, this could actually be a ‘good thing’ for the series. “It might attract people who are there for the right reasons, which would hopefully lead to more genuine behaviour, more authentic relationships, and a better viewing experience overall.”

Jamie Marinos gives her unfiltered thoughts on the 2026 season of MAFS

With the MAFS reunion commitment ceremony wrapping up on Monday night, Jamie said it “wasn’t my favourite” season of the show.

“It felt really different to previous seasons because there was such a heavy focus on group dynamics and friendships rather than the actual relationships,” she said.

“The bullying/mean girl behaviour was horrendous.”

By comparison, Jamie said that her season of MAFS felt like a much safer space. “Our cast had a lot of genuine and authentic personalities, and I think that’s what audiences connected with,” she said.

“Of course, there was drama – that’s part of the show – but it felt more organic. It came from real emotions and real situations rather than feeling driven by image or perception, and I think audiences can tell the difference.”

Sex toy expert slams MAFS’ Danny’s dildo business as ‘out of touch’

Controversial Married At First Sight (MAFS) groom Danny Hewitt’s venture of starting a sex toy line — specifically, dildos modelled on his own manhood — has been rubbished by an industry expert, who says such a product would be “out of step” with industry trends.

ICYMI, Danny is releasing a dildo line to capitalise on his post-MAFS fame, and he has plans to promote it while on tour with his stripper friend, Will Parfitt, for Magic Mike Australia. According to our source, Danny is apparently quite proud of his anatomy and wants the dildos moulded to his likeness.

“When a product centres male anatomy as a main selling point, it tends to feel out of step with where the industry has moved,” Michelle tells Chattr, who founded Melbourne-based sex shop Passionfruit almost 30 years ago.

Industry pros say that while there was a time when female sex toys were very phallic, that’s because they were being designed by men with blinkered understandings of female pleasure. But a rise in female designers has changed the game, making women’s sex toys much less phallic and more in line with what women actually want.

“Products that centre male anatomy or ego as the primary selling point tend to feel out of step with a market that has been steadily moving toward more inclusive approaches, led by the user,” she adds.

Expert says a Danny-shaped dildo line would probably flop

Michelle commented that in the case Danny’s idea came to fruition, going to market and getting on shelves, it is unlikely that sales would be strong.

“Products like this are typically viewed as short-term novelty rather than serious, sustainable offerings,” she explains.

“While controversy and reality TV visibility can drive initial curiosity, that doesn’t translate into meaningful commercial success. In sexual wellness, trust, design integrity, and user experience matter far more than personality-driven hype.”

Given that Danny has made many comments that suggest he has a low opinion of women, it is perhaps strange that he would want to market a product to them.

“I suppose the industry has never been short on men eager to position themselves as authorities on women’s pleasure,” Michelle says, “often while reminding us they’re doing so ‘as a man’.”

MAFS’ Juliette opens up about ‘sickening’ online abuse in new TikTok

Former intruder bride Juliette Chae has taken to TikTok to weigh in on the abuse she’s copped during her time on Married At First Sight (MAFS).

As we know, the former MAFS bride did not take well to being matched with 33-year-old model Joel Moses, and repeatedly described him as “performative and theatrical”. At the couple’s first Dinner Party, she memorably called Joel a “c*nt”, and made fun of him for sleeping with a teddy bear.

Juliette also said to the group that Joel thought he was the “star” of MAFS — something she later admitted on Stan’s After The Dinner Party she’d misheard.

“The way Joel has continued to speak about me online, in the press and on his own socials, should at least show that there was more going on than what was aired,” Juliette said in a text post.

Screenshot of Juliette’s text post. Image: TikTok

Juliette says the show pushed her to “breaking point”

Juliette suggests in her TikTok that something happened on MAFS that pushed her to her limit, though she isn’t clear about what exactly went down.

“This show was an experiment and you only saw a small part of what led me to my breaking point. It was unfortunate and sad that I got to that place and that Joel was on the receiving end,” the 27-year-old wrote.

She says she’s “taken accountability” and “apologised multiple times”, but added that “pushing someone to their breaking point and then shaming them when they break is a form of emotional manipulation and abuse.”

The 27-year-old looks to have struck up a friendship with fellow ex-MAFS bride Mel Akbay, who left a comment on her TikTok reading: “This is all our first time doing life, and we’re all just learning and growing. You deserve empathy, compassion and people who see your heart,” to which Juliette replied, “Don’t know what I would’ve done without you.”

It’s not hard to see why Juliette and Mel are friends — both were matched with men that they didn’t seem to like, with both men going on to win huge support with fans.

“Please choose kindness with your comments and opinions moving forward,” Juliette continued. “You have no idea what the other person on the other side of the phone is struggling with mentally and what they have had to overcome to still be here on earth today.”

Juliette’s full TikTok is here.

Married at First Sight (MAFS) 2026 airs Monday – Thursday at 7:30pm this week on Channel 9 and 9Now.

MasterChef fans baffled as Meghan Markle announced as guest judge to replace Andy Allen

MasterChef Australia fans have been left scratching their heads after the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, was announced as a guest judge to replace Andy Allen, who’s taken a break from filming for personal reasons.

Meghan is currently in Australia for a four-day tour with her husband, Prince Harry, and her addition to MasterChef was confirmed in a video on the show’s official Instagram account.

“All the way from sunny California, please welcome to MasterChef Australia, the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle,” Poh says in the clip.

The account also confirmed Meghan’s inclusion in a photo of her standing with fellow judges Poh Ling Yeow, Sofia Levin and Jean-Christophe Novelli.

“We’re welcoming someone SUPER special into the MasterChef Kitchen,” the caption begins. “Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, makes a special guest appearance this season as she returns to Australia for the first time since 2018. Joining a star-studded lineup of Guest Judges and culinary icons, Meghan helps guide some of the most impressive home cooks the competition has ever seen.”

Fans question why Meghan Markle is joining MasterChef

Meghan has dabbled in lifestyle television with her controversial Netflix series, With Love, Meghan. However, given that that is the extent of Meghan’s on-screen cooking experience, fans are questioning how she has the credentials to judge a cooking show.

“Remembering the Days when the great Marco Pierre White, Gordon Ramsay, Curtis Stone and others graced this show…” one person commented on Instagram, with another asking: “Am I the only one who’s thinking whyyyyy!??!”

One person joked that they “hope she has to cook something live”.

Someone said they’d be “tuning out” following Meghan’s announcement, while another asked the show to “please advertise ahead of time what date, so those who wish can avoid watching.”

Ouch!

MasterChef Australia 2026 premieres on April 19 at 7pm on Channel 10 and 10Play.

MAFS’ Sam defends Danny’s relationship with Bec: ‘He really struggled’

Former Married at First Sight (MAFS) groom Sam Stanton has come out sounding rather sympathetic of Danny Hewitt after the Brit was seen boasting about being able to find a “better bird” at Coles.

“It’s not anybody’s fault and nobody’s worse in that situation,” Sam said to Daily Mail reporter Ali Daher in an on-camera interview. “I just think that they were both dealing with really complex emotions and feelings. So it’s really tough to navigate yourself in those situations.”

At times, Sam also positioned Danny as a victim, stating: “I think Danny really struggled with Bec at the Dinner Parties, like her behaviour there, and it really put him on the back foot every single time. You know he probably built up his attraction and feelings for her every week and then [he’d] see her behaviour and then fall backwards.”

Sam’s comment will likely come as a surprise after MAFS: After The Reunion dropped unseen footage of Danny saying to camera, “You’re telling me that’s the best you could bring me?” presumably in reference to Bec. “You ought to be ashamed of yourself, MAFS dude… I can f**king walk in Coles and get a better bird than that, f**k me,” he said, at one point declaring, “bring me better women!”

While the footage has sent shockwaves through MAFS audiences, many point out that Danny has been making problematic statements about women from the beginning — for example, when he quipped “b**ches all love me” in reference to Bec’s dog, and that moving into a woman’s house would make him him “feel like a b*tch.”

Sam admits that Danny stayed on MAFS for too long

To be fair, Sam did say that Danny likely knew that Bec wasn’t right for him early in the experiment, and hung around a little too long. “I think maybe in my honest opinion he pushed it a bit further than he should’ve.”

” I think it was probably a couple of weeks [in] that he realised that maybe it wasn’t going to work, but i think at that point he thought maybe i’ll just ride it to the end because we’re that close anyway,” the 34-year-old said.

Responding to the unseen footage while on the couch at MAFS: After The Reunion, Bec said: “Who do you think you are? This is why I say he’s come on for fame… if that’s how you feel about me, why did you sit there for three months straight?”

MAFS’ Dave Thomas joins Netflix’s Perfect Match as ex Jamie confirms she knocked it back

Married At First Sight’s (MAFS) Dave Thomas Hand is set to appear on another dating show – but this time he’s going international and will be looking for love on Netflix’s Perfect Match.

Early this morning (April 17), Dave posted an official cast photo on Instagram with a caption confirming he’ll be on the reality show, and updated his bio to include the show name.

“It’s officially out… see you May 13. Perfect Match Season 4 on Netflix,” he wrote.

The show sees contestants from all sorts of reality dating shows like Love Is Blind, Too Hot To Handle, The Bachelor franchise and more to see if they can find love again. And, Dave is the first MAFS cast member to cross over into the Netflix world.

He’ll be heading into the Perfect Match alongside Vanderpump Rules’ Ally Lewber, Love Island USA’s Kassy Castillo, and Love is Blind‘s Jimmy Presnell — and a bunch more familiar faces.

MAFS’ Jamie Marinos confirms she turned Perfect Match down

While it was rumoured Dave’s ex Jamie could be joining him on the show, she revealed to Chattr in 2025 that she turned the opportunity down.

“I was approached earlier this year, which was flattering, but it didn’t align with where I’m at personally or professionally. When I applied for MAFS – and throughout the entire process – I was completely authentic and genuinely hoping to build a real relationship. Maintaining that authenticity matters to me, and stepping into a dating environment that didn’t reflect that intention didn’t feel right,” she said at the time.

Jamie said she’s now focused on future opportunities and while she’s open to love, she’s not looking on reality TV.

“Right now, my focus is on my mental health, my career, and opportunities that align with the direction I’m moving in. For me, it was the best decision not to be involved,” she continued.

“But yes I’m still looking for my husband but he’s probably not on reality TV!”

Who else will be on Season 4 of Perfect Match?

The confirmed cast includes men and women from Too Hot To Handle, Love Island, Temptation Island, Love is Blind and more.

Speaking of Love Is Blind, remember Jimmy from season 6, who was engaged to Chelsea, aka Miss Megan Fox? He’ll be on it.

And for Vanderpump Rules fans, DJ James Kennedy’s ex-girlfriend Ally is among the cast — and she’s already in Dave’s comment section. Could they be one of the matches?

Check out the full cast below.

What a lineup! Dave may have his work cut out for him when it comes to bringing the drama.

Australian Survivor fans criticise Mark for ‘spoon-feeding’ Caleb at the final Tribal Council

The final pitches at the Australian Survivor 2026 finale between Caleb Beeby and Jackson Gooney were noticeably lacklustre compared to previous years, so much so that returnee Mark Warnock had to jump in and help Caleb along the way.

However, some fans have called Mark out over his input, claiming that he was too involved for a jury member.

“I just finished the final episode and wow, just wow.. I never have seen a jury spoon-feed a constant so much as they did with Caleb,” one person wrote on Reddit.

“Mark the whole time was just helping Caleb with answers and what to say,” they continued, adding that they believed Mark was trying to justify Caleb voting him out by framing it as a strategic, top-tier move.

“I think it’s a bit of ego [thing], but Mark wasn’t blindsided by Caleb, he was just too stupid. Everyone told Mark not to trust Caleb. It was Mark’s stupidity that was the cause of the move.”

Typically, jurors are allocated one question each at the final Tribal, but one user pointed out that Mark took a lot more.

“Why does Mark get to cut across people and pretty much have four questions?” They wrote. Another chimed in: “It was infuriating how Mark interrupted Brooke [Jowett] and several others. Brooke didn’t even finish her point.”

There were plenty more opinions about Mark’s enthusiastic input at the final Tribal, too.

“I was not a fan of them poking and prodding Caleb to answer properly. It’s part of winning to plead your case on your own. Mark might as well have sat beside Caleb,” one person penned.

“I think Mark is used to being in charge, and since he couldn’t win, he wanted to control the outcome of the final tribal and direct the vote… Mark definitely overstepped the boundaries of the input a jury member is meant to have.”

Fans praise Mark for helping Caleb when he struggled to articulate his points

While some viewers were frustrated at Mark’s input, others praised him for helping Caleb out when he was clearly finding it hard to put his points into words.

“I think Mark was just trying to help Caleb articulate that since he’s clearly a worse public speaker than Jackson,” one person wrote.

“Caleb started mincing his words, Mark noticed, and as a decent human being, he gave Caleb a new blank page to give it a proper go, which they all deserve at that point, it’s the finale, a very upstanding human thing to do. I think that moment was really underrated. Mark deserves some praise for doing that. I did not care who won, but I agree they both deserved it equally as much, but it would not be fair for Caleb or for us if Caleb just got mentally stuck there and then,” another said.

One person pointed out that they didn’t think Caleb’s nerves should cost him the win.

“Caleb seemed nervous and didn’t have the same knack for showmanship as Jackson did. I like both of them and would have been happy for either of them, but I do think overall, Caleb deserved the win.”

Other fans said that while the Jury were clearly on Caleb’s side, that reflected the fantastic social game he played throughout the season.

“If players on the jury were prompting Caleb, it’s because they believed he had the better game and should win – they were already going to vote for him,” one person wrote.

“Pretty impressive to have the jury that much in your court,” another added.

Inside MAFS’ Bec and Luke’s secret hookup: ‘They both disappeared’

Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2026 bride Bec Zacharia and groom Luke Fourniotis didn’t have the best time on the show. Neither participant was matched with a partner who liked them, so it makes sense that sparks flew between the two newly-single stars.

In a recent interview with Chattr, Bec admitted she wished the experts had originally matched her with Luke. “Farmer Luke is just the most beautiful human ever. He was one of my closest friends in the experiment from the moment we met. And he’s hot!” she exclaimed.

Both Luke and Bec attended Gia Fleur’s birthday party earlier this year, and according to a source, the bride had big plans for her reunion with the groom.

“Bec was super keen to get with Luke and was telling everyone that was going to Gia’s birthday that she was going to get with him,” the insider spills.

“At the party, they both disappeared for a while.”

Could this be MAFS‘ hottest new couple?

In a recent interview with Daily Mail, bride Rebecca Zukowski confirmed there was a little something going on between Bec and Luke. “A bride and groom who were not matched played tongue hockey. Do you want to know who it is? Bec and Farmer Luke,” Rebecca claimed.

Previously, Gia also added fuel to the fire when she jumped into the comments on a TikTok shared from her birthday party. This year’s “villain” said that Bec was “chasing” Luke, which matches up with the claim from our source.

However, Bec has since reached out to Chattr and claims this account is false.

Who else did Bec want to be matched with on MAFS?

Bec was open about who her top three picks for different MAFS grooms would be: Sam Stanton, Filip Gregov and Luke. But only in a fantasy-type of way!

“I’d say Sammy Stanton, but unfortunately, he’s gay and never, ever turning, but Sammy would be my ultimate,” she spilled.

“[Also], Farmer Luke mixed with a bit of Fil[ip], I think.”

However, Bec is so pleased with how solid Filip and his soon-to-be wife Stella Mickunaite’s relationship is. “Filip and Stella are such genuine, incredible human beings,” Bec said. “It’s just such a true love. And you know, even though the rest of us didn’t make it, we are all so genuinely happy for Stella and Fil.”

It’s nice that (most of) the MAFS 2026 cast have stayed friends, with many showing up for each other during the tough times this year.

The MAFS cast weigh in on Danny’s new dildo business: ‘Maybe he can help me out’

Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2026 groom Danny Hewitt is officially launching a dildo business, using a clone of his own junk. He was spurred on by his then-wife, Bec Zacharia, who talked about the size of his appendage on the show and nicknamed it “the Danaconda”. His fellow MAFS cast members were both shocked and amused by this turn of events, with bride Mel Akbay telling Chattr she had “no words”.

Joel Moses, however, got a little bit competitive. He’s known for his dildo drumming YouTube cover, and Danny could be seen as stepping into his territory.

“I’m the dildo man, no one can take my throne as the dildo man, the dildo drummer,” Joel joked. “But even if Danny does start selling his dildos in rival to me, I will play a drum set song cover with his dildos.”

There’s just one caveat. The groom hopes Danny’s dildo isn’t as large as Bec has made it out to be, because it could make things rather tricky. “The larger the dildo, the harder the drum cover will be, actually,” Joel said.

Meanwhile, Rebecca Zukowski seemed chuffed for the groom and offered herself up as a willing participant.

“Maybe he can help me out. Not him personally, but you know… maybe I could be the face of the new dildo company,” she said, with a wink.

But will Rebecca be lining up to order one of Danny’s danacondas from the shop? “I’m not buying anything from Danny,” she added, outraged. “Absolutely not.”

Julia Vogl told Chattr this was the first she’d heard of the actual product, but said Danny seemed to be working with the cards he was dealt.

“If he’s creating something that’s gonna be helpful to people, I don’t know, if it’s gonna help people with their intimacy, why not?” Julia asked.

Steven Danyluk also admitted that he’d asked Danny about the dildo business previously, and the groom had lied to him about it. “I asked Danny about his dildo business, and he goes, ‘Oh no mate, it ain’t happening’, but I think he might have been keeping a bit of a secret from me,” Steven said. “If he’s got this big long dong and it’s gonna, you know, sell, why not? I’m a businessman, take advantage of it, buddy!”

What does Bec think about Danny’s new dildo business?

In a previous interview with Chattr, Bec said she wasn’t shocked by Danny’s X-rated business venture. “I mean, his best friend is a stripper. I have talked about Danny’s appendage on MAFS and yeah, when I heard it, I knew it would be true. He would do anything to make money,” Bec declared.

“I won’t buy one, no. But if I get sent a PR package of one, then you know, I’ll definitely review it for you all and let you know if it’s true to size.”

We can’t wait for the unboxing!

MAFS cast spill what really happened during Alissa and David’s unaired Reunion couch time

The Commitment Ceremony Reunion saw the main Married at First Sight (MAFS) 2026 couple sit down with the relationship experts on the couch, but there was one glaring omission: Alissa Fay and David Momoh.

Viewers were left scratching their heads when Alissa and David were nowhere to be seen, especially given that they were one of the season’s most dominant couples and made it all the way to Final Vows, where their relationship imploded in a fiery final showdown. Meanwhile, intruders Stephanie and Tyson got airtime, despite only being on the show for a few weeks and having no romantic connection whatsoever.

Now, some of the MAFS cast have revealed what really went down in Alissa and David’s couch session, and why they believe it didn’t make it to air.

“I don’t think it was something major that happened. I think it’s just probably due to time,” Stella Mickunaite diplomatically told Chattr.

“It was a time thing,” Filip Gregov added. “And let’s just say that everyone agreed to disagree. She thought she had a version of what happened in her head, and Dave just came in and said, [his version].”

Filip added that David and Alissa’s disagreement on the couch was “basically” what we’ve already seen play out on TV.

However, Joel Moses had a spicier take on what really went down on the Commitment Ceremony couch.

“They got on the couch, and that was the first time I saw the real Alissa. I was shocked and disgusted by how she treated David. Dunno why they chose not to air it. I also can’t really remember what the experts said, probably knowing them, they let the woman get off with a slap on the wrist,” he wrote on Reddit.

Joel believes Juliette’s choice to skip the Reunion cost him a couch session with the experts

While Joel was invited to the MAFS Reunion, he didn’t get a chance to sit down with the experts and reflect on his time on the couch, and he believes that it’s because his TV wife, Juliette Chae, decided not to show up at the last minute.

“I think we would have been on the couch if she came, and maybe they substituted [fellow Intruders] Tyson and Stephanie. Tyson and Steph had a really long couch session, and I thought either they were our substitutes or we were going to split half-half, because me and Juliette obviously had some of the biggest moments of the season. So that was a bit disappointing to me,” he told Chattr.

Joel added that while he was disappointed he didn’t get that final opportunity, he’s happy with how his MAFS experience played out overall.

“The experts hardly touched on [my experience], they asked me questions about the cast, but they didn’t even ask me anything about my relationship with Juliette, and how that was for me, which pissed me off, to be honest, because I thought I deserved more.”

“It’s been a great season for me, so no complaints,” he said. “All in all, super happy how the season went, it’s been an amazing journey.”

MAFS’ Bec reveals dream job after being fired due to her behaviour

Bec Zacharia was fired from her job after her behaviour on Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2026. It was the third Dinner Party that really tipped it over the edge, and she’s since been left to figure out her next steps. In a TikTok Live, she shared that her dream job would be in radio — perhaps she could step in for Kyle and Jackie O?

“I would love to work in radio, like that’s my dream, but that’s obviously not gonna be something straight away,” she spilled. “There’s a few bits and pieces I’m doing, like in the background a little bit, but yeah. I don’t know [what’s next].”

She isn’t in a hurry to figure out exactly what job to jump into next, saying she’s waiting for everything to “fall into place” after her starring role on MAFS.

However, the one thing the bride is certain about is finding a job that resonates with her personally, rather than chasing a successful, high-paying job. “I would love to do something that really, really feeds my soul now,” Bec said. “Something that I really love, [that] I really want to do, and I’m not just doing it for money, but actually doing it because I’m passionate about it.”

What jobs could Bec do after MAFS?

At the moment, Bec is busy creating content on social media and cultivating a community on TikTok. According to the reality TV star, some of her fans want her to become a stylist.

“I’m just trying to stay in my lane. I’ve got, you know, a lot of people wanting me to do some cooking videos and fashion stuff on TikTok which has been amazing,” Bec told Chattr.

“I’ve got this beautiful community on there that I’m so grateful for. So I’m just filling my days doing that, spending my time with my family and friends and my dog and training at Sammy Stanton’s gym 360.”

In the past, MAFS contestants have gone on to have successful careers as podcast hosts, TV hosts, influencers and OnlyFans creators. Many end up signing with management, and a handful go on to star in even more reality TV shows. Bec may have lost her corporate job, but a whole new world has opened up for her. Could I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! be next? We’ll have to wait and see.

MAFS’ Bec reflects on Danny’s ‘horrendous’ tirade: ‘True colours’

Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2026 bride Bec Zacharia has opened up during a TikTok Live about Danny Hewitt’s harsh words. Just recently, the groom was caught on camera complaining about being matched with Bec, saying he could find a “better bird” in Coles. “To the execs watching this, you’re f**king sh*t at your job. Bring me better women,” he said at the time.

Bec saw Danny’s tirade for the first time on Stan’s After The Dinner Party, and was understandably shocked. After having some time to sit with the new information, she revealed on a TikTok Live she had no idea that Danny was like this behind closed doors.

“I knew there was… a lot of gaslighting and stuff like that,” she said. “But not to say such horrendous things, like an hour before he told me he was falling in love with me. It’s just, it’s just mind blowing really, it’s hurtful.”

The bride added that she was grateful the show was now over and she no longer needed to pretend she was still “married” to Danny. “That was filmed on like the 21st of October, I reckon… it’s now the 14th of April. We’ve moved on with our lives,” Bec declared. “True colours are shown, and we move on. I wish him well, that’s it.”

Bec also admitted there was no way she could still be friends with Danny after he didn’t go to the Commitment Ceremony. After falling in love with the groom, she was left wanting answers as to why he strung her along during the experiment.

“We were meant to do Stan together on Thursday for the episode that’s just gone out, and he didn’t come to that, so I didn’t get answers then either. But I think I know what the answers are, and I think I’ve gotta believe the answers that are in my heart, and I’m gonna sleep well at night and leave it at that,” Bec said.

“I think obviously the content on you know, the TikTok and Instagram pages and stuff tells you everything you need to know really, about whether there’s any respect or not for me.”

Where do Bec and Danny stand now?

In an interview with Chattr, Bec confirmed she no longer speaks to the MAFS groom, although they did reconnect while the show was filming.

“Danny and I have spoken sporadically over the course of [MAFS airing], but you know, I’ll message and him and say, ‘Why did we stay?’,” she spilled. “He doesn’t really like to answer those questions.

“But as of now, Danny and I have no relationship, and we never will again. We do not speak. We won’t speak. I wish him the best, but I don’t want him or his energy in my life, in my realm. I’ve moved on with my life, and I choose happiness and transparency, not that.”

After everything Danny put Bec through, we’re glad she finally saw the light.

MAFS’ Scott confirms he has a new girlfriend: ‘Early days’

Bad news for anyone who was hoping to seduce former Married at First Sight (MAFS) groom Scott McCristal: the 33-year-old has revealed he’s in a new relationship.

“There is someone in the picture, but I can’t really confirm anything because it’s early days,” he dished in an interview with The Daily Mail.

Scott revealed a tiny bit more about his new flame in a separate radio interview, stating that the woman he’s dating was someone he already knew. “We were friends and it’s turned into something,” he said, speaking to Gina & Matty For Breakfast.

Scott has also said that his difficult marriage to Gia Fleur has given him clarity about what he wants and doesn’t want in a partner. “I know what I deserve and what I don’t deserve,’ he revealed. “I know someone’s out there that will meet my needs and actually accept me for who I am.”

Scott takes aim at MAFS castmates for ‘selling’ their relationships

In the Daily Mail interview, Scott also has a go at his former MAFS castmates for “seling” their new relationships for cash. “They’re flaunting their new relationships,” he said. “It’s like, how do you move on that fast?”

The publication reckons he took aim at former MAFS brides Gia and Alissa, who have both debuted new boyfriends in recent weeks.

“You have to go to a magazine to make money to write an article about a new man. That’s pretty immature, if I’m honest,” he said. “That’s desperate.”

Scott also took the opportunity to reflect on his former relationship with Gia. “Of course I had feelings for her at the time,” he conceded.

“The amount of comments she made to me behind closed doors was just phenomenal… just kept copping it and copping it. I don’t deserve someone to treat me like that.”

In any case, Scott says he doesn’t regret his MAFS experience. “I’ve learned to have a voice and not be silent,’ he said. “I’ll never let someone walk over me again.”

Did Caleb seal his fate by choosing Jackson to go to the Australian Survivor 2026 finale with?

After winning the final Immunity Challenge, Caleb Beeby secured his place in the Australian Survivor 2026 finale and the power to decide who would join him. In a move that shocked fans, he chose Jackson Gooney over Loz Mac, despite being aligned with her for weeks.

Both Jackson and Loz pitched their cases to Caleb about why he should take them through to the finale. While Jackson leaned on the angle that they’re both underdogs and said Caleb wouldn’t be able to beat Loz in the finale vote, Caleb interrupted Loz’s speech to reiterate that he wouldn’t be in the position he was without her help.

Then, in a savage move, he cast his vote for Loz to be eliminated, and host David Genat revealed that Jackson would be heading to the final.

“I love you, but it would have been the perfect pitch,” Caleb told Loz as he said goodbye, implying that he believed she would have beaten him at the final Tribal Council.

The cast were shocked upon learning Caleb's decision. Image: Ten.
The cast were shocked upon learning Caleb’s decision. Image: Ten.

Did Caleb make the wrong move by sending Loz home?

While Loz hasn’t played a bad social game and has managed good relationships with almost everyone on the jury, it could be argued that Jackson has taken bigger risks throughout the season. In particular, when he betrayed his own alliance and voted out his close ally Ben. On top of that, much of Jackson’s alliance is sitting on the Jury panel, who ultimately choose the winner.

On social media, opinions are split about whether Caleb made the right move.

“It was a great move! He shocked everyone so that’s a plus! He controlled his narrative and his endgame. He flipped the script! Like I said, these two make for great TV! But just to really look at the credentials, I’m leaning towards Caleb! Survivor is the title, right?” One person wrote on the show’s official Instagram page.

“No shock here! He knew Loz would get the sympathy vote from the jury. Well played by not giving in to her demands for the immunity necklace, you deserve to win, Caleb,” a second wrote.

Another credited Caleb for making the most exciting move — whether it would ultimately benefit his game or not.

“Great move, you want the two best players at the end and not just take Loz through, who would have been the easy beat,” they penned.

However, some fans think Caleb essentially handed Jackson the win, comparing the move to Survivor: Cagayan US, when Woo Hwang took Tony Vlachos to the Final Tribal Council and lost.

“Another Woo who took Tony to the end… congratulations to JACKSON. YOU WON!!” One person wrote.

“Did Caleb make a million-dollar mistake like Woo? We’re about to find out,” another said [Editor’s note: The Australian Survivor prize money is $500,000, not $1,000,000 like the US].

The Australian Survivor 2026 finale airs at 7:30pm on Channel 10 and 10Play.

MAFS’ cast react to Gia being signed to a talent agency: ‘Unmanageable’

As you may have heard, former Married At First Sight (MAFS) bride Gia Fleur is the first of the 2026 flock to sign with an agency, and she’s landed a big name in Max Markson of Markson Sparks.

As Max has previously managed names like Kim Kardashian and Pamela Anderson, things are certainly looking up for Gia, who looked pretty crestfallen by the time MAFS reached its end.

So, how do the rest of the MAFS cast feel about Gia’s boon? “Look, more power to her,” Bec tells Chattr. “I think if that’s going to help her reputation and help her get to where he wants to be in life, I’m happy for her. You know. More power to you.”

Joel, on the other hand, had a different view. “I think you cannot manage Gia… she’s unmanageable,” he quipped. “So that’s all I’ll say about that.”

Others hadn’t yet heard the news, with former bride Mel Akbay looking happy to hear about Gia’s good fortune. “Ooh, I didn’t know that Gia is signed by Kim Kardashian’s former manager, but I’m like, props to you queen! You go! I love that for her!”

Max Markson confirms they’ve signed Gia

Founder and director of Markson Sparks, Max Markson, told Chattr he’s excited to work with Gia, adding that he’s pleased to have her join his rolodex of big names.

“Gia is someone that everybody is talking about, and I’m delighted to be representing her. Past MAFS alumni I’ve represented and continue to, include Jessika Power and Cyrell Paule — both of whom have gone on to star in multiple reality TV shows since,” he said.

“I’ve worked with Kim Kardashian, Rachel Hunter, Pamela Anderson — to name just a few. I see big things ahead for Gia.”

Gia also put together a video that has been posted to Max’s Instagram account, confirming that anyone who wants to contact her will have to go through Max. A flex!

At this stage, we haven’t heard about any other MAFS 2026 cast members who have signed with talent agencies, but if last year’s trajectory is anything to go by, it won’t be long before we do!
